Alraënia - Home

This site is a High Intermediate - Advanced level RP.
It revolves around the basis of an elemental war caused by the pride of four deities: Pyran, the god of fire; Borran, the god of earth; Heiseph, the goddess of water; and Airos, the goddess of wind.
Alraënia began in a state of uncomfortable peace, a pause in the bloodshed that succeeded the "Age of War". It has been 500 years since that warring age, thus 500 years of peaceful neutrality. However, now things are beginning to once again fall out of balance.
Four new leaders have risen to power, some older than others. (these are played by actual members)
Satazian, a human crossbreed and Master of Soil is over 700 years old and led earth out of the warring age and has sustained earth's power through the age of neutrality.
Kaji Hito, a young human fire mage and Lord of Fire, is a new test for a throne usually occupied by Fire dragons.
Rigel Preghiera, a young, immortal elfish maiden and Mistress of Rain is a quieter adversary in this game, but no less potent.
And Aeolian, a young feathered humanoid is only now beginning to understand the power that Airos has granted her. Wind is at a vulnerable point, with a young ruler to head their stand.

So with that, things have begun to boil within this supposed era of peace and already several incidents have begun to place the nations at one anothers' throats.
An incident in the Shephard's fields, involving several earthen characters and a small brigade of Fire soldiers, led Satazian to find blame in Kaji and order a summoned meeting to discuss this matter at hand. The meeting is destined to be peaceful, but may also result in an official declaration of war. It all depends on what explanation can be given. The date of the convergence grows nearer...
Meanwhile, some trouble has also been stirring between wind and earth, as a wind inhabitant has been brought before Satazian, accused of crimes against the earthen nation. Her fate is still uncertain.
Water is also at a confrontation with Fire, involving the kidnapping of an innocent elfin maiden, apprehended during the battle in the shephard's fields which was previously mentioned. Water demands she be returned, but some unseen troubles might just keep Kaji from releasing her as he intended.

That is the basic gist of the political situation thus far. I shall keep this updated to keep you all informed.
