Name: Samuel Arhae Relyt
Gender: Male
Race: Human/Demon
Corner Preference: Which ever.
Age: 27
Description:
Standing at a towering 6 foot 9 inches high, Samuel appears unnaturally tall. He has a natural dark tan to his body, which fits his shaggy waved blond hair. His body is muscular, his abs being his best feature. He has slightly broad shoulders to show his toned body, that seems to be carved from war and battle. But his face, shows a different person.
His eyes, how they are shaped, show that of an innocent young man, free of crime, his skin is soft and well toned. His face shows the young beautiful masculine growth, with a wide flat jaw. His teeth are straight, bleach white, and well placed. However, a trait from his demon father, is that all his teeth are sharp, almost pointed like they were sharpened from childhood. But thats not the most interesting part. From his demon father, he has also gained another attribute that has shunned him from all of society. His eyes, although shaped as if innocent, are colored a blood red. As dark as blood spilled on the face of an innocent child in the dark. And unfortunate for Samuel, because of this, he will never know the beauty of color, everything is black and red to him.
Samuel wears plain white clothing. All of it, white, as snow. He wears a tank top for a shirt, with a tight fit across all of his body. And plain white shorts with only two pockets on the sides, and not by his waist. His feet wear, white leathered sandals, that only have two straps on the top to hold them up.
But over it all, is one long hooded robe. Do not mistake this for a cape, because it is not. It is a long robe, the hood has been sewn into the top, and not at the hands of some one experienced. The robe is too long even for the height of Samuel, so it is gathered at the top over his shoulders, and covers most the time his lips and below. But unusual for other robes, it has no sleeves. But you can easily see why, as they have been ripped off, as you can see the tear from where they were, the new sleeves match the bottom of his robe, as it is torn and shows wear from being dragged along the dirt paths, and being snagged from the twigs and rocks that lay on the ground. But besides the bottom and his sandals, everything of his robe and hood is as white as snow.
His body has no scars, as all the rocks and objects thrown at him have been easily covered up by his demon trait rough skin. But, also from his demon side, comes his bones. His knuckles are large, and his fingernails are a little longer then usual and point like claws, and are just as hard as his bones. His spine is the most easily noticed is seen, as it almost seems as if it comes out of his back.
Now around his left arm above his elbow, is a white leather band, tight fitting across his arm it holds his sword. The sword is covered by nothing, there is no sheath, everything is visible, except the part covered by the bands extra loop at the base of the blade where it connects to the handle. The sword is simple, but in that simplicity it is beautiful. The blade is double edged, and made of hard steel, folded from a Japanese influenced smith almost 600 times. Its handle, and guard are made of the same steel, but only melted and forged in a fire and shaped by a mold. The guard is a simple rectangle with rounded corners, and the handle, your typical cylinder with a ball of steel on the end that comes out no farther then the widest part of the handle.
Personality:
Here comes my favorite part.
Samuel lives a double life. He has a dual personality.
At one moment, Samuel could be explaining the meaning of life to you, his voice, soft, sweet, kind, caring, but the next, he could be chasing a mouse, screaming his lungs out to kill a single mouse who picked a crumb from the floor.
These are of course, in the extreme cases.
Samuel has the unfortunate side effect of his demon half being able to take over.
His human side, comes from his mother, who was an incredibly kind soul. She always gave to others, never really giving any rude thoughts of comments. She used an inside voice at all times, never once has Samuel heard his mother shout. In this side, he is a vegetarian, he will almost gag at the site of meat being used for a meal. Leaf and fruits are his favorite things.
But the demon side of Samuel, well lets just say it is nature. It is to pretty much put down on anything he hears or can see. His instinct to kill and strike at a seconds notice is always there. Meat, is the only thing he will even touch if he is hungry, and this includes humans. So don't lose a battle to him, you will lose a lot more then just your honor, an arm or leg may come with.
But here comes the most interesting part of all this. He is able to control his emotions, and his personality. He can switch from side to side, in little less then three seconds. But are very intelligent, and know when they should switch, both know their limits. For example. The demon side, will switch over after a small battle, or when going into a town. And the human side, will switch when in battle, or when he is unable to find food that is not made of meat to survive.
Skills:
Samuel has his dual personality, which gives a double side advantage, and disadvantage to all his powers.
The only power he gets from both sides is Samuel has the ability to make his body fade, and even able to be seen through completely. This power of his, works through waiting and time.
In his human personality, Samuel is able to become very still for a very long time, and this allows the ability to reach its maximum potential, his body will be completely see through as long as he does not move to a great extent.
In his demonic personality, he does not have that kind of patience and because he is always on the move, his body will only seem to fade. The more he moves the less he becomes invisible, the faster he moves the faster the invisibility wears off, but if he moves slower then it will become more invisible.
Now, from his demonic fathers side, he has not really obtained any powers, so much as naturally enhanced physical attributes.
His muscular legs, enhanced by the power of the demonic race, allows him to jump a little over twenty feet in the air when he has had exercise. And his powerful hands along with his claw like nails, allows him to grip onto branches or the base of trees and hold on for a long period of time. His jaw muscles allow him to bite through some of the toughest armor, and his arms are inhuman in strength, as strong as three of four men. These advantages only occur during his demonic personality.
From his mothers side is his main source of magic. He has gained the ability to see farther on thought up to thirty yards with out his vision being blurred, fifty with it being rather blurred. His hearing will become limited during increased sight range. He hears just fine, if you are touching him, even if you are inches form his ear he can't hear you.
Now the only other ability he picked up from his mothers side is wind walking. His whole body will seem to fade, like going invisible, but then will burst into what appears like colored dust, and it will dart over to the area that he wants to once again become whole. This is the exact same as teleporting, however, it takes him almost two seconds for him to get ready to move. He has to fade and then burst, and from there, his scattered body will move, at an incredible speed where he wants, even through tight spots. And then come back together, in the same two seconds. Within those two seconds, a person can slash or burn at it, and it will cut him, just as if he was just standing there. Samuel will not realize you have done this until he comes back together, as he loses all his senses when he does this ability. These two powers can only be used in his human personality.
Sample Post:
A couple miles inward into the main land, Harten Balmont, was the main city, Begreth, full of large known clans and world merchants. Exciting news and large events were a weeks thing, almost planned in this city! Parades and carnivals happened every month in celebration of good crops, or of the kings birthday!
Born in the town of Boathaers, a small town off the coast off the earstern side of Harten Balmont, Samuel, unfortunately was born under a not so known clan. A small one, in fact, so small, that all their clients and buyers, were either neighbors, travelers they pull off the streets, or themselves! It was not always this way though, his great grandfather lived in riches, large houses, and money was of no meaning to him anymore. His grand father, Boran Arahe Relyt, was one of the most well known Black Smiths in the land, his armor was said to be invincible. His weapons, so sharp, they could cut through dragon scales with a single slash!
Well, all folk tales, but they are certainly good for attracting buisness. The trade was lost, however, as Boran's son, did not want to be a blacksmith, he wanted to be a great merchant of rare and uncommon items. He wanted to travel the world, see things that people only imagine of in their beds as they dream, his name, was Arahe Samuel Relyt. But, his father did not approve, he wanted his son to grow up as a good, hard working blacksmith just like himself. But even after years and years of training, forging, melting, and casting, Arahe never put much effort into perfecting the trade. It was lost. And Boran became to old to work, they lost so much business and had so much back up, that they had to spend almost all of Boran's money to pay it all off. But even more unfortunate, a week after the passing of Boran, Arahe started a fire in the shop to start for new weapons, but without proper safety, Arahe left for just a minute, and the whole shop caught on fire. He lost everything in that fire. He couldn't even sell the land for half of its orginal price. Everything was destroyed inside of the fire, and he had nothing to sell. With nothing left Arahe, became a fisherman, working at the ocean. Years later, he married a young woman named, Harlin.
Together they gave birth to Samuel Monhart Relyt. Arahe would always tell stories of his father, having great wealth and people all over from the world coming just to look and watch him bend the heated metal, do try and steal his methods and become as great as he. Samuel took these stories to heart, and from a young age, always pretended to be a great forger. But, the family he was in now, and the place he lived now. He was never to reach his goal, it was almost, impossible. Pretending, was good enough for Samuel, but he always had a talent, for sneaking away, and tricking people. It was his nature, his being, his entity. He grew up in a rough neighborhood, with people being murdered for money, and even food. He had to fight for his survival, and many times, he had done just that. As he grew up, he was a natural among the kids, his intelligence, and understanding of the town grew incredible. He knew every rock that lay on the ground, and every open window in the warm nights. Younger kids grew up to admire him, the older ones watching out, and his peers, followed him carefully.
It was early in his teen years, when Samuel, had his reputation reached to the main city of Harten Balmont, Begreth. The town had already been known to be bad for merchants and new travelers, but the complaints have more then doubled sense Samuel was able to walk. So much in fact, that the king was finally forced to send personal guards to retrieve Samuel. Well, to Samuel, this was nothing new, there had been plenty of bounties put on his head, and it was easy to pick out when someone was after him. Because, for the town, Samuel, was an important part of the community. He kept young kids from starving, small business from falling into debt and being shut down. In turn, he was helping the community but stealing form it. He would take and give to another in need. And even though they were unhappy at how he did it, they knew that he was doing good at the same time.
But, the real reason he was important to the town, was when travelers would roll around, or caravans of merchants rolled through. This, was a huge economic boost for the town, and Samuel, was a big part of getting the goods. What he could not talk merchants into selling cheap, he would take the next night and give what he did not want, to the towns local merchants. He did this so well, and even did it so much, that the local merchants, would pay him, for the items that they wanted specifically...
"Eh, Bram, keep an eye on the door you moron! Can't be haven any hoodlums grabbin the old mans crap can we now? Or its your pay on the line!" the large tipsy soldier said.
"Ah, yes yes, right away captain!" Bram, the young shaking guard said as he jogged to the door in a hurry.
Samuel laughed quite and short to himself, noticing the new guard was both young, and new by the way he was standing. Samuel could almost make a bet to his friends that he could just talk the new one into letting him take the things. But the plan was already set, and he had a very specific item in mind he wanted.
Samuel turned around, high up in the trees, and through a rock to the ground hitting another, a small spark was made. A little less then a minute later, a group of kids running down the trail from the dark emerged. They ran right past the guard and over to the fire of his, kicking dirt into it and spitting in it. One even letting himself go on it, Bram quickly ran over not knowing exactley what to do he just took his pole and started swinging it around near them.
"Hey now, what do you think your doing! Get away from there! Stop that!" he hissed at them, but his tone was shaky and almost embarassed to be there.
The kids made faces and shouted crude things at him as they ran away right as the fire died out. Bram sighed to himself and looked back at the door, it was still closed just how he had left it. So he turned around and took out his flint and steel, trying to put the fire back together. But little to his knowledge, Samuel was already inside, the guard had forget to check and see if the lock was actually locked. Samuel being quite and careful, went through the piles of stacked boxes, books, and vases. He slipped as many coins as he could into his pocket, knowing he would have to pay this kids for tonight, and the last few nights. Samuel turned, and checked the walls, they were still dark, so he turned and continued looking for his prize. Each step he took, he took slow, and side ways, to prevent any noise from being made. He checked over his shoulder one more time, still dark.
Finally opening a dusty box, and peering inside he found the item sitting inside of box full of hay. It was the only item inside left. He picked it up, a small red colored stone, but it was almost clear as day on the inside, as if it was hollow. He looked at it with no interest, but a sudden glare came from behind and the stone lit up on the inside. As he looked at it, he noticed that there was water on the inside of it. Now he had interest in it, had did a stone like this, get water inside it, with no hole or even crack in the stone. He rolled his eyes and shoved it in his pocket. As he turned around noticing that the fire was started and the walls lit up, he walked nonchalant to the door, picking up a few daggers on his way, and any other small objects. He stood up right against the door, leaning his ear against it. He waited and waited for the right moment.
Then, as he heard the guard let out a gasp of air in wonder as he saw the lock undone. Samuel smiled, and took a step away from the door. Right as he saw the handle of the door come down and begin to open, Samuel shoved his foot on the door and burst it open. The door swung open and smashed into the body and head of the guard. The young guard fell back onto his back losing his breathe as hit the ground flat. He had nothing left in him to shout for help. Samuel jumped out, onto the chest of the guard, pulling one of the daggers he took and shoving the blade in the lose part of the guards armor, and pinned the guard to the ground in just less then ten seconds.
The next morning they could hear the shouting of the merchant who rented out the building. But Samuel and his friends just laughed as he counted the coins and payed each and every kid there, the share of the money. As soon as he was done he walked down the narrow side ways as not to be seen buy the caravan. He walked to the back of an old run down building with holes in its roofs and the doors without locks. He knocked on the door twice, paused and twice again, paused once more, and knocked once. It was ten seconds later and then an old man with a hunched back, snow white beard that reached the floor, and skin that looked like it would fall off any second, slowly opened the door. The old man was carrying a large bag, full of as much money as he could spare, he handed it to Samuel as he slipped his hand into his pocket and handed the man the red stone. Not a word was said, and the old man turned, and closed the door. Samuel reached his hand into the bag grabbed a hand full of the coins, opened the door, dropped it inside the building, and left a note saying it was for a new lock for the old mans back door. He closed the door with a loud noise, so that the old man would turn to see the note and coins.
Years later, Samuel stood in front of the king, hand cuffed and chained. His sentence was death by guillotine. But as Samuel was taken by the guards and turned around, a loyal advisor to the king, one of the generals to his armor in fact burst through the doors and demanded the halt of this. He walked with gusto up to the side of the king. The kind stopped the guards and talked with the general. It was even hours later, in that same room, Samuel had to stand turned away from the king when finally the king called him back.
The man that came through the doors was right in front of him, his arm came down upon him with power and Samuel fell to the ground breathless and fell unconscious. Next moment he woke up, he was in the place he would get to know very well. A camp far into the woods, meant to train experienced guards and men in the army, into assassins. Here they tested him time and time again, until reaching the decision that he was well worth their time to train him. And he proved himself time and time again to them. He stayed there from his age of thirteen, for seven years. Becoming one of the two best they have ever had. They sent him on missions that the king specifically asked for.
Finally after so many years, they let him leave. And he did just that, he went back to his old home town, and found nothing there. The town had been turned into almost nothing sense he left. Many people had died from plague, and almost all the shops he sold to had shut down. The town had become even smaller. He looked for any remaining family, but found nothing, not even a trace, anyone that he had known as family friends was gone now. And even most his peers didn't recognize him, but those who did, said he had become a traitor serving a king that didn't care for his people. He found nothing at this town but hate and empty people. So he left the town deciding never to return.
Two years later, Samuel had continued to work and server under the king. Making his living from killing and stealing from other kingdoms. But one mission, lead him somewhere he had never been before. Somewhere he had not even recognized from any maps that he had studied in his times at the camp trainings...
