Kyreigh sat in a tree top, alone. It was sunrise, and slightly cold outside. Just in the past few weeks she had found out just how cold it was at this hour. She had left home about a month ago, she had mostly lost track of the time. She had traveled into the city once or twice for some meat, and water, but mostly she had sustained herself off of herbs from the very woods she was in now. She had been attempting to train herself. She would travel up to the top of the mountain and find a deep valley, she had hoped no one would find. There she practiced flying, and controlling her wings. Although, wing control was hard to learn by one's self. She had tried to become independent, knowing that she had to leave the old lady, but she knew that when she crossed into Earth territory, she would need someone to lean on. Secretly, although she tried to deny it to herself, she hoped to meet a pixie that knew all about wing control and flying. Being raised by, first a human, and then a feathered dragon, and now having to live with pixie features, made things very difficult for her. Being part human, made her love the land, but being part pixie made the sky call to her. She longed to fly up through a cloud, just because, but her flying skills were inadequate. aLthough the old lady had attempted to teach her wing control, it was slightly different with feathered dragons. So it had helped, but only to a certain extent.
Kyreigh jumped down from the tree and onto the ground. She lost her balance, and started to fall. Then her wings caught the air and held her still. She turned and picked a few leaves off of the tree. She ate them, they were a bitter-sweet but matched how she felt. She imagined pixie's to have real grace when they flew , not that she'd ever met one. She remembered her father always walking so, smoothly. She was clumsy even then. She didn't seem to fit in with either race, in her mind.
"What were my parents thinking? I mean really. It would have actually been nice if I had gotten graceful walking from the human side, and graceful flying from the pixie side, but no. Instead I got two diffective genes. Why can't I just be normal?"
Kyreigh brought out her wings, to the best of her ability, and took off low along the ground to her spot on the mountain (in the mountain's valley).

Lorrina had finally left her home, her friends, and her old life behind her which is exactly what she had always desired. She sat beneath a tree thinking about the decisions she had made, reflecting on life. Lorrina's mind was made up. She would never return home. It was too painful to see her family. After Serriah left, everything reminded her of the fun they used to have, and that time would never come again. She had decided that she would find a new family, new friends, henceforth, a new life. As she thought, she remembered the reasons that lead her here.
She thought back to when Serriah and she were very young.
Lorrina remembered the time when she and Serriah were trying to learn how to fly on their own. Neither of them could do it right away, but they spent hours together, just the two of them. And when they finally flew, the clear blue sky, the wind rushing through their hair, and the feeling of their wings finally holding them up, it was the best feeling in the world.
Then she flashed back on the day Serriah told her that she had met someone else who she could freely talk to, and how she had decided to go on a trip with that girl. That was one of the worst days of Lorrina's life.
How, how could my sister betray me like this? I've been the only one to fight for her, to talk to her for all this time, and then? The first person she meets, she goes and runs off with.
I can't think about her anymore. From now on, I will not think of Serriah anymore" If i don't, I'll never be happy Lorrina though sadly. What I need, is someone who'll connect with me like she did, but that will never be possible...
Lorrina glanced at the lush green trees around her. The sky was clear, the wind was favorable for flying, and flying always helped Lorrina rid her mind of unwanted thoughts. It seemed it would be ok here, since all the trees were blocking most of the view just in case any unfriendly visitors had decided to drop by.
Lorrina took off into the sky, flying free as a bird, her saddening thoughts being lost in the sky surrounding her.

As Kyreigh was silently flying she saw something bolt up into the sky, out of the corner of her eye. She turned her body too quickly and lost her balance and fell onto her butt on the dirt path.
That scared the shit out of me. I've got to be more on guard for these kinds of things.
Kyriegh pulled herself up out of the bush and brushed off her knees and her butt. Her pulse was beating 100 times faster than it had been only seconds earlier. She looked up to the sky, and saw what she hoped was a pixie.
"Um, Excuse me, you up there! Are you a pixie? Just wondering."
Kyriegh pulled out her wings to make sure that this person would understand that she meant no harm, and so that they would know that she was pledged to the Goddess of Wind. She cupped her hands over the top of her eyes to block the now blinding sunlight. She awaited this person's response. Once again though, her feelings were split in half. Half of her hoped that this person had heard her so that they could maybe help her learn how to fly, but the other half almost begged God that this person hadn't heard her, because she was so clumsy and embarrassed herself by falling.
If my mind controls my body, then why does my body do things before my mind approves them? I need to tape my mouth shut, maybe then I'll decided what's important to say, before I open my mouth (because it hurts every time you pull the tape off). Mind, if you are up there, please tell mouth to shut up, thanks. And also, not to be rude, but learn how to make decisions!!!!
Kyreigh brought down one of her hands and slapped herself across the forehead.
"Idiot" she muttered to herself.

Lorrina's heart skipped a beat and her wings fluttered 3 times faster as she heard the voice under her. She whipped around in the air and turned to the newcomer, ready for them to attack, since that was not uncommon.
"Who's asking?"she said a bit more fiercely than she intended.
She then saw the black wings that the girl had pulled out and let out a sign of relief. So it was another winged creature.
She fluttered cautiously down to the girl for it could be anyone. Lorrina knew she could not let her guard down, although her heart beat had returned to normal. Her wing speed had not. If it was an enemy she could probably out fly her. If not, well Lorrina wasn't that bad at fighting. She landed next to the girl, one foot touching the ground, then the other, landing gracefully.
"Yes I am" she said serenely. "I'm Lorrina, and you would be?" she inquired as she took in the somewhat odd appearance of this girl. The girl looked as if she hadn't used her wings that often. This girl intrigued Lorrina.
Wow, she is a strange one Lorrina thought as she looked this girl up and down, waiting for her response.

Kyreigh watched as Lorrina walked towards her. She seemed almost as Kyriegh had imagined. The perfect blonde hair, with colorful pink streaks (although Kyreigh had alway imagined green). She had a few striking features that Kyreigh never would have guessed; purple eyes and neon orange wings. Still, she had a perfect, slender figure, and definitely looked the part, more so then did Kyreigh.
"I am also a pixie." Kyreigh bowed her head "My name is Kyreigh Fiora, and I'm sorry if I disrupted your flying. Are you here alone? Or is there someone else here with you?"
Kyreigh then fell silent, thinking how dumb she must sound to this girl, babbling and asking questions. That's a horrible introduction of herself.
"I'm sorry for being so forward, let me start over. " Kyreigh took a few steps forward and stuck out her hand, somewhat awkwardly to Lorrina. "My name is Kyreigh Fiora, nice to meet you."
Kyreigh hoped that was better. This was kind of awkward. Unbelievable! Kyreigh had been in contact with this girl for at maximum, 5 minutes, and already Kyreigh had embarrassed herself in more ways then she knew possible.
1. She was flying low to the ground (not very well) 2. She fell on her butt when Lorrina bolted up to the sky 3. She hid, immediately thinkking it was an enemy (didn't consider that only those pledged to the Goddess of the Wind can fly) 4. She shouted up at her 5.She made a crappy introduction by babbling and asking questions. 6. She had to do another introduction because the first one was so bad.
She was not of to a good start, but she had never (besides the old lady) had a friend before. At least she tried.

Lorrina looked at the strange girl bemusedly. She was a funny crature.
"Well it is a pleasure to meet you miss Kyreigh Fiora." A soft wind blew, and gave Lorrina the urge to take flight once more. She flew just high enough for her feet to lift off the ground. She looked at the nervous pixie before her,
Maybe I can help her.
Lorrina put her hand inside her side pouch and pulled out a small amount of a ground up herb and blew it into Kyreigh's face. She smiled.
"You don't seem like a calm person, Kyreigh Fiora! That," she said speaking of the herb "was skullcap. The scent is supposed to calm you, and you look like you need it." She pulled her wind blown hair out of her face and quickly bolted around.
I wonder if anyone is with her.
Lorrina listened but could not hear anything. Her eyes returned to the black winged pixie.
" So, anyway.... Do you want to fly?" she asked flying higher into the sky. "It's kind of hot out and there are some clouds." she said as she stared at the powdery white clouds. "We could fly through them. We might get wet, but it will be cool."

As soon as Lorrina blew the herbs at Kyreigh's face, she felt calmer. Less worried about making a good impression, and much more relaxed. She wasn't a clam person. She knew she wasn't a calm person, but that didn't help her become calm either. Then the most dreaded question. Of course she wanted to fly, but what if she fell, I mean, she had never flown that high before. Ever.
"Um. I don't know if I should fly. I can't fly very well, and I don't want to fall." Kyreigh looked down at the ground. It was much easier to say these things if she wasn't directly looking at Lorrina. She awkwardly just stood there for a few seconds, and then turned and took a few steps towards an old oak tree. When she reached it, she turned and leaned against it. She tried to look cool against the tree, but with her shoulder blades pressed up agianst the tree, her back hurt. She stood up straight and then looked up. She watched Lorrina, the beauftiful pixie she longed to be like. She wanted to try flying high so badly.
Finally, her curiosity outgrew what she thought was safest, and she walked towards Lorrina.
" think Maybe, I'll go with you. I really want to, but if I can't keep up, I'm sorry. Do you have any advice before we start about flying?"

"Yes,"Lorrina said smiling,"Relax. Flying is the most fun, relaxing thing you could do! Let me see..."
Lorrina put her finger to her lip as she thought of advice for Kyreigh. She tried to think of pointers, but it was difficult. She coulnd't think of a time when she couldn't fly.
"Well your pretty lucky today, the wind isn't strong and its easy to fly, even if you do have trouble flying. Don't worry about keeping up. I'll go slow. And well..." she paused for a second."There's only one was to get over your fear, Kyreigh Fiora." Lorrina hesitated, she knew Kyreigh might be angry at her for this, but it was the only way."To get over it, you must fly! I'll...help you."
Lorrina seized Kyreigh's wrist and pulled her into the air. "Do not worry, I will not let you fall." She flew over a small lake still grasping Kyreigh's wrist. "You should try to fly here. I won't let you go until you ask, but do keep in mind that if you happen to fall, you will not be hurt. We are not that high up and the lake will cusion your fall."
She vividly remembered how she was "taught" to fly. Her parents were quite nice, however they thought the best way to "teach" Lorrina was to fly her high into the sky and drop her, like a common bird. They had hopes that she would use her wings in desperation to stay in the air. For Lorrina, this "lesson" was no problem. She had learned to fly a long time before her parents had tried to teach her.
This girl's parents must never have taught her. that's strange. Oh well, I'm glad to help. Thought Lorrina.
Lorrina knew she could not just throw Kyreigh and hope she would fly. Even Lorrina knew her parents methods were...dangerous.
"So Kyreigh Fiora, do you wish for me to let go?" she asked curiously, hovering semmingly unphased by the additional weight of Kyreigh.

Kyreigh was dangling, probably at least fifty feet from a lake. When Lorrina pulled her up there, her heart jumped int oher throat for a few minutes. Then after the initial shock, she was surprised that Lorrina could fly at all with Kyreigh's weight. Lorrina told her to relax, so she took a deep breath and then looked up at Lorrina. She knew what she had to do. She brought out her wings (which she just realized were no longer out), and then said to Lorrina,
"Before I have you let go, I just wanted to..." Kyreigh's wrist was sliding out from Lorrina's grasp. Their bodsy heat had cause Kyreigh's wrist to sweat. "Aaahhhh!..." She reached up with her other hand and grabbed Lorrina's hand.
"I'm okay, sorry. I just wanted to say thank you, and I wanted to know, umm. Well, are you traveling alone? Cause I am, and umm, uh, if it's okay with you, I was hoping we could travel together. Let me know at the bottom."
Kyreigh took a deep breath. Then she looked down and gazed across the shining, shimmering clear water. As inviting as it looked in this heat, she prayed she wouldn't land in it. She slowed her breathing, and looked back at Lorrina. Then she closed her eyes, flapped her wings a few times, and screamed, "NOW!"

Lorrina was a little shocked. She did not think that Kyreigh would want to fly on her own so soon. However, on command, she immediately let go of the pixie, hoping that Kyreigh would succeed in her attempt.
As she watched Kyreigh, she thought, I am surprised that she trusted me. Most wouldn't, she seems to have a lot of courage. I didn't really think she would want me to let go so soon.
Then she pondered Kyreigh's question. Yes I am traveling alone, but... I was trying to start a new life... a new adventure on my own. Do I want another person to go with me? I mean it couldn't hurt but... Her thoughts then drifted to Serriah. For the first time since she started her journey, a frown appeared on her face. She remembered Serriah's words. "I'm leaving" The way Serriah just dropped the bomb on her, obliterating her world.
No, I promised myself I would never think about that again, think about her again.
Lorrina's thoughts returned to Kyreigh. Her smile returned.
Well, it could be fun. Anyway even if it happens again, even if she does something, she's not Serriah, and I won't let anyone make me sad again.
Lorrina shifted her gaze, and returned her eyes to Kyriegh. She watched her intently to see how she was doing.

For a few seconds Kyreigh let herself fall. The wind rushed and whistled in her ears. The pressure was horrible. Her hair blew straight up, and her stomach flet like it had fallen out of her body. Then she took the plunge, and turned her body so that it was head first. Her dive in the air scared her, and the wind rushed over her back and sides so fast that she had a hard time opening her wings. The ground was approaching rapidly, and Kyreigh's wings were still flattened on her back. She started to panic, and then told her self to stop. Lorrina said to relax remember? She took a deep breath, and closed her eyes then she used all the energy she could to pry open her wings, she flapped them, and then open her eyes. She was flying. And just in time, because she was only about ten feet off the ground. She drifted down to the ground and was glad to feel land under her feet. As glad as she was, though, she couldn't help but love that rushing, adrenaline feeling. She would fly back up there, soon.
Kyreigh walked to the waters edge, and took off her black sandals. Her feet were hot and blistering. She dipped them in the water, and then soaked them. The water was cool and shimmery. SHe stared at her reflection on the surface of the water. Her hair was wind blown, and her cheeks were bright red, but she looked good. She looked , more,
I look more like a pixie, and that's just from flying for one day.
She reached back and braided the hair out of her face. She felt alive. She untied the ribbon on her neck, and put it in her braid. For the first time, in her entire life, Kyreigh liked the thought of being a pixie. When she was flying, wit hthe wind blowing her haire, although she had been nervous, and scared out of her wits, she still loved the feeling. The feeling of being free. Maybe she would get the hang of being a pixie.

Lorrina watched as Kyreigh plunged a couple of feet and was about to rush down to catch her. However to Lorrina's great relief, Kyreigh pulled out of her dive.
Yes! She got it!
Lorrina stopped flapping her wings and dove down towards the inviting lake, with it's cool blue water, however when she got close enough to the water she flipped into an upright position, steadying herself with her wings. She flew to Kyreigh. "You did it! Congratulations, Kyreigh Fiora! You have flown! I am so happy for you." All this came out ver fast, becuse of Lorrina's high level of excitement.
"Maybe you should try wearing shoes other than those." she said noticing Kyreigh removing her shoes. "Black is not for weather like this."
Lorrina took off her white sandals and put her toes into the water, feeling the cool clear water. She tied her hair back, the pink, short, choppy pieces falling down in front of her face. Then she turned back to Kyreigh. "Now that we are at the bottome, I may address your question. Yes, it is true; I am traveling alone. And yes, I think it would be quite fun for us to travel together. But where are you goin? and how long for? For I must let you know, that even I do not know where I am headed or how long it will take me, or if I will ever get there. I have not yet decided."

Kyreigh was surprised at how much Lorrina was excited. It's not like this was life altering to her or anyhting, but she thought Lorrina was funny in this way. And she was really nice. Kyreigh smiled. Then she brought her gaze back to the glistening water. She had no idea how to respond to Lorrina's statement about her shoes, so she just let the statement stand. Then, they got onto the topic Kyreigh was nervous about discussing.
Where am I going? How long is it going to take? To be honest with herself, Kyreigh knew she had never even thought about these things. But she was kind of forced to now. Then she decided to level herself with Lorrina.
"To be honest to you, I really wan't planning on going a certain place imparticularly. I really just planned to wonder during the day and find someplace to sleep at night, until I found someplace where I wanted to stay. I am tired of this city, and its woods. I have been training myself to be aerodynamic, and to do a little wind bending, but neither has been too successful here. I need to travel elsewhere. I feel closed- in here. What about you? Did you plan to go someplace special? Or were you also just wondering around?
Kyriegh kept her eyes on the water, as to not put Lorrina on the spot wit hher questions. She breathed in deep the fresh scent of nature all around her. She felt at ease. She sighed a heave of release of tension, and then aligned her eyes with Lorrina's.

Alohilani Ziarre soared high over the Montagna Del Vento, searching for a place to rest. Her sharp green eyes hesitated over a patch of movement...other flying beings, perhaps? Ziarre, the flying cat, allowed herself a crafty smile. Could be fun... She beat her red and white wings once, twice, three times and then snapped them shut. She dropped into a dive, her red and white fur rippling, the wind howling in her ears. Ziarre opened her mouth in a high, wild yowl. Oh, she loved it. The speed, the height, the very thought of flying. Of freedom. Ziarre's wings stirred for an instant, the movement spinning her around like a top. She shouted again, pure joy in her voice. Time for some fancy flying, eh? Her green eyes, dancing with amusement, narrowed in concentration. The earth leaped up at her. Ziarre could see every rock, every blade of grass... Now! She spread her wings and was swiftly borne upwards. With a laugh, she beat her powerful wings twice more, then five times, and flipped over, her momentum carrying her upwards still. She completed a massive loop, her paws scraping the clouds... ...And then she was down, flipping over and over in a complex movements. A single mistake and she could fall and die, but Ziarre was not afraid. And she was also a cat. A flying cat. She landed paws-down on the hard earth, her green eyes flashing. "Yes!" she shouted joyfully.
Then the winged cat came to her senses. Glancing around, she caught sight of two winged beings....pixies? Ziarre thought so. She took a step forward, her head tilted, and meowed, "'Alo!" in her friendly way. Briefly, her thoughts fluttered to a less tasteful idea: what if they were hostile? Would they attack? But Ziarre swiftly squashed the idea. 'O course they won't! she berated herself. And if they did....well, I'm no kitten. she thought defiantly. She unsheathed her claws, scraping them on the hard earth, relishing the sharpness of them. Then she resheathed them and turned her attention back to the pair before her.

Lorrina stared blankly for a moment as she pondered the question at hand. She too had no specific place that she wanted to go to. "Well," she looked to Kyreigh," I'm not really sure about where im headed. The only thing im sure about is that i want to go there, where ever there is. I just want to find somewhere to be free. Where are you from anyway?" she asked as she fluttered her wings
Lorrina hovered above the ground stretching her wings feeling the cool air between them. SHe looked at Kyreigh and was distracted by a sound. She spun around so quickly that she almost fell out of the air. She regained her balance and stared at the new arrival. It was a winged cat. Lorrina smiled and in her still excited voice said," Hello!". Lorrina never really stopped to think anyone could be hostile, especially with the greeting given. " I am Lorrina! And you are...?" Lorrina asked quite curiously.

Kyreigh nodded while taking in Lorrina's answer. They could definitely travel together. Neither had a specific place they wanted to go, but both wanted out of the city. This could work. Kyreigh thought. She was returning here sight to that of the lake, when she heard Lorrina's body spin around so fast that the wind whistled. Kyreigh snapped her head around, and spread out her wings to their farthest stretches in instinct. A cat. Their was a winged cat among them.
Kyreigh shot up automatically. Lorrina and the cat exchanged greetings and Lorrina introduced herself. Lorrina has more courage than I'll ever have. Kyreigh sighed. She was never an outgoing person. As much as she hated herself for it, she lived her life in a shell, barricading everyone else out. At that moment, Kyreigh made a vow to herself. She would do all she could, one step at a time, to become more outgoing. She walked up next to Lorrina.
"Hello, my name is Kyreigh." Kyreigh bowed her head, and then took in the sight of the orange and white animal. She knew that in this day and age, friends were something you needed. Kyreigh let her mind wander a bit, back to her father. How she missed him. She could never stop loving him, even though he abandoned her. Life could be so unfair. She frowned in thought and bit her lip, and then relaxed her expression and returned her thoughts to the present rendezvous.

|ooc| sorry for the wait ^^;
Ziarre appraised the pair, her green eyes flashing. From this close up it was obvious they were Sprites. Luckily for her, they seemed friendly enough, though she had seen many friends people turn mean in the blink of an eye...
It brought back a memory of one such incident: Ziarre had spoken too freely, and a misplaced comment had sent the entire room into a blazing fury. They attacked her with knives and she barely escaped alive. Thinking of this, Ziarre shook her head in contempt. Some people and creatures were so close-minded. Ziarre was open to anything, no matter how outlandish. Maybe it's being so open that scares them and makes them close-minded, Ziarre mused, unsure if that sounded crazy or smart or both.
Bringing her mind to the present with a second brisk shaking of her head -her mind tended to wander, free as her body- the winged cat stretched her wings and beat them slowly. Her paws barely skimmed the ground now. Nodding to each Sprite in turn, she meowed, "'Alo, ...Sprites, right? ...I'm Alohilani Ziarre, though I prefer to be called Ziarre." She liked her last name better, for no real reason. Ziarre was as changable as the winds, but her usage of her second name had never changed. It would lead only to confusion to change it now. Tilting her head, she added, "So, pardon me being nosy -curious as a cat, you know- but what's this meeting about?" Her voice was light, clear, faintly marked with a lilting kind of accent that would best be described as Irish. She swung her tail. Her eyes sparked suddenly. With a few powerful wing beats she flipped herself around. She was on her back now, falling slowly. Upside-down the Sprites looked the same, but that was how Ziarre saw the world. She could read and entire book upside-down, since her brain flipped everything she saw until it looked normal. She flipped once again and floated slightly higher, impatient for the skies but also tugged to the ground by the fierce curiosity that had plagued her family for generations, and has plagued her since birth. She waited for some kind of answer.

Lorrina tilted her head as she usually when in deep thought and looked at Ziarre.
A sprite? I've never been called that before. Cool. She smiled at the thought. She watched as Ziarre flipped herself and giggled. "You're funny. Well... Kyreigh and I just kind of met here...and started talking"
Lorrina's thoughts drifted. Talking... She really hadn't talked to new people this much since Serriah left. She hadn't needed to in a long time. It was surprising how much she was becoming like Serriah and it scared her. Oh no! I'm going to become just like her! I don't want that! I'd never want that. What would i do? I hate her! WHy do i have to be so like her!!
She got so lost in her thoughts that by the time she came out of her own little world, she lost track of what she said or even what the conversation was about. Lorrina shook her head to clear it of her frantic thoughts. "Uhh...." she was at a lo ss for words and lloked to Kyreigh for aid. Please help me! she thought hoping that somehow Kyreigh would say something.

A sprite? Like, a little hyper flying girl? That's what Kyreigh thought it meant, but besides the being a girl part, she didn't think that fit her at all. It did kind of fit Lorrina a little though. She wasn't exactly hyper, but she sure was upbeat, which Kyreigh admired. Kyreigh watched as the winged-cat, named Ziarre flipped herself upside down. Kyreigh raised one eye-brow in confusion and then slightly tipped her head to the side to meet Ziarre's gaze. Kyreigh was taking in the atmosphere so deeply that it took a minute or so, until Lorrina shot her look asking for help, that Kyreigh realized what had been said. "Oh, well, we were just discussing the paths of our lives at this moment in time." Kyreigh did not feel like disclosing much else about their conversation at the moment, but that could easily change once she trusted this winged cat a little bit more. "I assume that you are pledged to the Goddess of the Wind as well as we are? What brings you to the city?" Kyreigh thought it good to ask a few polite questions, figuring she would receive some herself.
Who would have thought that I would meet, and strike up a conversation with two new people in one day, after being alone for so many days. Kyreigh smiled. This was a big step for her. Meeting new people. Maybe they would all three become friends. Kyriegh's stomach growled as she was shading her eyes from the sun, using her right hand. She placed her left hand over her stomach. She really hadn't eaten anything today, and it was approaching mid afternoon. She worked up her courage again and spoke to the two. "Well, I would be delighted if the two of you would join me for a bite to eat. I myself am pretty hungry." She turned around and her eyes caught the site of fish in the small body of water. "How does fish sound?"

Lorrina smiled, glad that Kyreigh aided her in her mind lapse. She felt awkward for that moment and Kyreigh had saved her so she could collect her thoughts and regain focus on the situation. She looked to the fish that Kyreigh had suggested. They were so interesting to watch, swimming around in the lake. She never did like to eat things that moved if she could help it, but she wouldn't tell others that.
"Umm... well, no thank you Kyreigh Fiora. I am not very hungry." She said. Secretly she was extremely hungry.
Lorrina sat down on the grass and started at the two new arrivals she had just met. She smiled as she stared.
She looked to Kyreigh to start conversation. "So Kyreigh Fiora, where do you come from. Around here?"Lorrina couldn;t stay in one place for a long time so she rose from the ground and spread her wings. Flying was too fun to do, se could not reamain on the ground. So she fluttered her wings a bit so her toes just grazed the ground. Then she returned her gaze to the others waiting attentinvely for their responses. As she waited, her mind drifted to past memories.
There was one inparticular, that had been on her mind very often, lately. It was a long time ago, when Lorrina was 6 years old. The one day, she, Serriah, Byron, and Nyaren (her siblings) had gone deep into the forest to play. The forest was the border between wind and water territory. At the time, the children didn't know the dangers of being in such a forest, unprotected. It was boring in the forest. Serriah was flying around trying to get Byron to chase her, and Nyaren was eating dirt. Lorrina's attention was drawn to a little girl peering from behind a tree a few feet off. She walked over to the girl.
"Hi. My name is Lorrina. Do you want to play with me?"
"Okay." The girl replied shyly.
The two girls played for hours until both's parents came to find them. They were torn apart. Lorrina's father grabbed her by the hand, and pulled her to her feet. The girl's parents did the same.
"Saaya!"
"Lorrina!"
The girls were both lectured from their parents, not to be playing with children of other territories. They were seperated because of where they were from, and although neither of them cared, it was the way in Algaesia.
Lorrina resurfaced to consciousness, reliving the memories that held her bound to the land she walked upon. She itched to leave and start over, hopefully finding others along the way who shared her opinions.

Kyreigh walked over to the waters edge and gazed at the fish. She reached out and touched one. The slime and slipperiness made her sick. She suddenly agreed with Lorrina, and looked up at the blond with a smile. She squinted in the bright sunlight. So, Kyreigh Fiora, where do you come from. Around here?" The sentence drove a steak through Kyreigh's heart. Where do you come from? she repeated in her mind. The question, although obvious and normally polite small talk sturck like a bat from behind. She felt as if the wind was knocked out of her, and she had no idea what to say. "Um...yeah." Was all she managed to mumble. Then she gathered her mind back together, and managed to form a question of her own for Lorrina. "So, any ideas as to where we'd like to go? If we leave now, we could probably get a little closer to another territory, even if we don't leave ours. We could find someplace to stay until tomorrow, when we could finally reach our destination." She stood, and walked over to the pixie, who was much smaller and more frail than she was. She would seem to be weaker, by looking at her elongated arms and legs, but instead Kyreigh recognized the pixie's strength. "I am not sure how you would feel about going to the uncharted regions, but I would kind of like to go there, to just see what it's like. It's supposed to be the lands of peace, rather than war like everywhere else. That would be nice, i think." As she was speaking, her gaze had drifted toward the water. Sharing opinions was not easy for her. She was somewhat of an introvert, and sometimes felt stupid when making eye contact during conversations. When she finished speaking however, her eyes wondered back to Lorrina's, determined. She felt pent up here. Closed in. She wanted to see something new. Have an adventure, but not be in danger. That' s what she hoped was best, for her. She didn't want anyone here to know about her past. It was too dangerous, and people were too unforgiving. She wanted to have a life, and not be afraid for it. She wanted.
