Muggy humidity lingered in the air, the scent of a storm was quickly approaching, but still it was a decent day. Kisa had long abandoned her jacket again, tying it around her waist so the rest of body could breathe. Sweat lined her arms and chest, a mixture of oncoming illness and the heat. Illness, it always came with the curse. The insignia hadn't activated twice in one day in quite a while; it was taking all of Kisa's strength and health to keep the monster at bay, especially the mental tolls. Kisa was debating her other form, but it had a full coat, either would still lead her to be most uncomfortable.
Kisa wandered down the mountains and into some fields. The grass blades were tall, almost to her shoulders, but she still managed to see above them. Her ears twitched, listening for the sounds of anyone nearby. To be honest, Kisa wasn't in much of a hurry to see Poe, or Warrick. Both of them were too confusing and painful. One wanted her, whether true emotion or lust she debated, one wanted a one night stand sort of relationship. Poe wanted to share their alter ego complex, but with someone who would stay, but didn't he say he liked one-night stands? Hope hypocritical, she thought. Even if she wasn't in it for love, why couldn't they tell her a story or two, when they wanted to know all of hers? Wasn't there a middle place, what was that old word called, friends? Treaties? Something like that.
A cough rumbled in her throat, soon growing into a fit, and blood spilled from her lips like tiny raindrops. She watched the blades of grass become speckled with crimson and she sighed. Illness. Everyone was sick, to Kisa. Everyone betrayed, sick bastards. Everyone lost faith, like her. Her parents were the worse. "I. Hate. You." a painful growl escaped her lips as she thought of her parents. Those were the people who loved her, nursed her when she was ill, then betrayed her. "I. hate you." The sound of her skin being sliced, the feeling of the monster entering her blood, the smell of smoke, the sight of her brother, burning flesh. The whole idea made her nauceaous. She opened her eyes and realized she was on the ground. Had she just...passed out right then?
Immediately she sat up. How long was she out? Kisa quickly checked all her suplies, the vial, still there. She wanted to drink, she wanted to keep it away for a while as it healed. But still, Poe's small request was enough for her not to. This was Kuze's gift, he had been doing research for her. Kisa ran a clawed hand over her face, being conscious, to watch a monster that possessed your body, kill your lover. Have him watch you, eyes closing, whispering he still loved you. Traumatic. It was that day Kisa's heart had turend to stone. Rather have no one, then the guilt of killing someone else.
"Was this what you two wanted for me, mother, father? Did I really deserve this misery, in your eyes, did I? You've probably forgotten of me by now, probably forgot the day I left. Still, here I am, thinking of you. Do you appreciate this? Love no one, touch no one, trust no one, be, alone. THank you for this life. I wish I had died in the womb, you cruel demons. Kuroj, Kuze, villagers, children, was all that death worth it, to make me miserable?" Kisa turned her eyes to the sky, as if the answer would fall from there. Instead, a raindrop did. Kisa sighed and looked back down to the path.
Finally, she spotted wild flowers, like he had said. The stream was to her left, but she ignored it. The flowers had a lovely scent, one that hid the smell of her own blood and tears. But then again, she always smelt that, patheic. Kisa continued on the path and wondered if she was supposed to announce herself or not. Instead, Kisa immersed herself in the fields of flowers, and watched them blow with the wind, slowly getting wet with the rain.

Swaying, the grass swaying to the rhythm of his breathing.
Beautiful smells of flowers rose up through his nostrils. He couldn’t help but be taken by the beauty of his home; surrounded in such a sweet flowers and peaceful silence. He never had the worry of people intruding upon his peace unless the war would break out soon. The whole area was at such peace that that the earth brought forth the wild flowers without so much of a glance from him. The stream brought well feed fish that he could feast on until his stomach was full. The breeze… it was as if it listened to the beating of his heart.
Swaying, the grass swaying to the rhythm of his breathing.
Never had there been a disturbance of the peace; no battles or ill travels. The worries of life seemed to slip off his body and deep down to the earth’s core where they melt into nothing. At home alone in the peace and comfort of the natured area, he was himself. No lies or masked faces. No painful memories holding him down. There was no opposite poles; no hot and cold; no nice and mean; no caring and one night stand; no Warrick or Poe. Some how the peace this place brought to his soul brought the two together to form a being he had once know when innocents still touched him. He was a being now touched by the greed of all men, weather human or not, but at a balance that he saw through to a better place. He wasn’t the mind of a child who only liked at the little picture of cookies and milk, but at a whole. He sought for a place like this of peace all over. Yet, he couldn’t dream of doing anything of the sort to gain toward his goal. He couldn’t even leave his home with out his mind splitting in two. He had yet to find the glue that could possibly keep him whole like this forever.
Swaying, the grass swaying to the rhythm of his breathing.
He took a deep breath in and let it out. He had such peace here, why couldn’t he of had it else where with the loves he had found; the woman who held his heart and had protected it. He couldn’t have them, he’s always venture from his home with them and Warrick or Poe would turn them from him. Neither Poe nor Warrick understood what he wanted; they didn’t even know he existed, they don’t get the memories he does because they are a mix of both minds and it makes it too complicated to be understood by them. He took another big breath and let it out.
Swaying, the grass swaying to the rhythm of his breathing.
He lifted his body to perch himself on his arm. Laying on his rock in the middle of his field of flowers, his legs lay down across the rock his torso held up by the right arm being placed behind his back pushing him upward. His left hand ran across his forehead pulling back his hair. Drops of sweat and rain that had been dangling from his multi-length hair flew out into the air as his hand racked through his hair. His lips just parted just the slightest bit taking in breaths. Eyes closed to take in everything around him, sounds, smells, and tastes of the air. He must have looked like a wild man with his wild blue hair, his light tanned skin covered in beads of sweat and the beings of the rain storm, and only wearing his cut off pants that ended just below his knees.
Swaying, the grass swaying to the rhythm of his breathing.
That smell, it doesn’t belong in my field of flowers. It… it is the smell of blood. Tears… the salty mixture of tears. All these smells would normally have been masked, but in his peaceful state he could smell the change in his beautiful flowers smell. Opening his eyes, first looking up into the sky, he dropped his head to the side. His hair feel around his head as gravity took hold of it from his hands grip. The lean muscles started to work, rolling him over onto the side of his hip, his right hand still holding him up while his left caught his weight from rolling further. Searching, his peacefully quite eyes found something, rather some one.
Blood, tears, I must care for her. No, you get to close Warrick. Leave me alone Poe, she needs help.
He closed his eyes tight to shut out the voices. When he opened them they were gone. Only the woman he knew as Kisa from their memories stood there and he… unnamed to all for never given a name of his own from the two… laid there looking at her. What was he to do; he was neither Warrick nor Poe. He didn’t want to immerse himself in her, yet he didn’t want to leave her to dye from her curse. The new presence he had was clearer then Warrick and Poe; he had less confusion and more harmony. As one mind and one mind alone he spoke. His voice genital, yet not weak; full, yet not empty; caring, yet abstracted.
“May I help you Kisa?”

The flowers, they were beautiful, with such a light scent. The rain was dripping down on them, the drops' weight making the plant droop, but the plant would then recoil back, with the stem's strength. Was that what life was like, getting rained on, and fighting back not to break? Kisa bent down and touched one of the petals, running her finger over it. It had a smooth texture, but so thin her claw broke it. She frowned, too fragile. The poor plant, Kisa felt bad, she had injured it. Kisa looked up to the sky, letting the rain wash off all the sweat, tears, and cracked blood. Somehow, the rain always calmed her, even if she was part cat.
“May I help you Kisa?”
Kisa turned her head in a panic. Her chocolate eyes quickly found him, laying on a rock. She tilted her head slightly, he seemed, peaceful. His whole aura, just felt a little more at ease. She didn't know what to say though, to that question. Could he, help her? Kisa was confused, he didn't seem like Poe, the one she had just met. He didn't seem like Warrick either. So, what was this? Who was he? THe body matched, but not the mind and soul with it. Kisa flexed her fingers and sighed.
Although the rain was soothing, Kisa was feeling worse. Her head was starting hurt, and coughs were being surpressed inside of her. Kisa straightened herself back up and looked him straight in the eyes. Maybe this guy did have the power to help her. But 'may', he was asking permission, was he? It could be, interpreted, different ways, at least for Kisa. Kisa had told them not to help her, yes, she was rather stubborn. As she debated those two concepts, she remained where she was standing. The rain still came down, a little harder now, and thunder rumbled in the mountains.
Kisa touched one of her cheeks, and was surprised, to find tears there. She could smell the difference. What was wrong with her? Actually, there was a few answer to it. Every year, this curse was harder to handle. Now, Kisa just wanted to rest. She just....she wanted....to be okay. Her body felt like it was breaking, like blood would pour from her insides out. She was afraid, there, she admitted it, in her mind. Kisa really did want to be freed, but would she deserve it after all that happened? The curse, was more than just pain to the body, it was living proof of betrayal, and the memories that refused to sleep. Kisa swayed slightly. What she wouldn't give, for one night of sleep, without the pain, without the memories, without the desire to die.
Kisa dug into her pocket and threw the vial at him and sighed. " Keep that, away from me, for a while. It's....really hard right now, not to drink it. Everything, hurts....." Kisa rubbed the back of her head and her voice quivered with the pain her body was feeling. "I'm sorry...."
"......Yes, you may help me," she finally told him quietly, ears drooping just slightly. This was it, the chance to tempt fate. Despite all the searching she had been doing, the only times she ever thought she would be freed was when she was with Kuze, and now, standing before this creature. Kuze's fate was her fault, and for once, she didn't want to kill someone she could learn to care about. Kisa put on her jacket, despite it being wet, as her headache continued to grow worse. "It's nice here....peaceful. You seem, peaceful. But," she paused, taking just one step, "who are you? You don't feel like Warrick or Poe....."

He caught the vial. He held it up to the sun to have the light shine through. The violet liquid was like fire to him. It was disrupting his inner peace just holding it. The dark color resembled the dark intent of the vial stuff. Evil and sinister, they are the only two words he could he think of at the time. The memories of what the liquid would do to her made him cringe inwardly. Taking one last glance at the liquid he put it into his pocket for safe keeping.
“Who am I?”
He let out a deep chuckle from deep in his chest. No one had ever been around him long enough for him to be in need of a name for other to call him. It was humorous that she was the first to ask for a name. Flipping his wings from side to side in thought, his mind rolled over a few possibilities. He could make one up and lie, but this world was going down with all the lie and deceit. Second he could tell her he had none, but that certainly wouldn’t do.
“Well, I never really had company. So naturally I was never in need of one.”
He closed his eyes in thought. His mind raced in a million directions trying to figure out what a good name would be for him. Alas, after rummaging his brain he had decided that he could name himself. When a child is born and is new to the world the first to see him, the mother naturally, shall be the one to name him. Kisa, being the first being to ask of his name, he thought, now earned the right to decide his.
“Well, you’re the first to ask. So would you please grant me a name by with all shall call me?”
He seemed so call about the task of naming him. Any child would jump at the chance to pick their name and have it the coolest name to them, but not he. He knew that if he chose himself it would not reflected what every one else saw, but what he wished every one saw. He didn’t want to build up a false image of himself, he wished to be true and let every one see him for what he truly was. No lies or deception.
With the flap of his giant wings his body was lifted up off the rock; he landed not for far from in front of Kisa. Slowly he walked toward her. The feelings that were in his body were those Warrick and Poe had created for him. Unbelievably full of care for her from Warrick, and untrusting from Poe. He grabbed his head with both his hands and shook it firmly. This would be quite a task for him, to separate their feelings from his and create his own. He wasn’t Warrick or Poe. He had his own view on her and the way he felt for her. He had yet to decide to trust her or not. He hadn’t decided if he likes her as a friend or not. He had yet to experience anything with her to which he could base his relation with her on. This would be the start then.
Letting go of his head, he looked up at her with open eyes. Eyes empty of memories with her. She would have to earn his trust all over. Unlike Warrick he wouldn’t fall for the pretty face and sad creature. She had to give him reason t trust her this time, he knew from Warrick she had killed many and killed her own lover. He would treat her with care and comfort her while she got better, but for him to trust her and really care for her, she needed to show him who she was to him. He walked in front of her, evaluating her physical wounds that he could. She needed rest, food, and time to recover. He would take her into his home and let her sleep for a nice long time before he feed her neutering food that would help any ailment inside. But she had to let him take her there first. When he said take her there, he meant picking her up and flying. He didn’t like people walking all over his flowers.
“I wish to let you rest, and then feed you some food that would help you, but I’d need to take you to my home. Would you mind me picking you up and flying you there, I wish not to crush my flowers.”
He didn’t seem forceful on her at all; it was totally all her choice. The way he talked and acted proved that to her. His body langue gave off no signs he would keep her here or pick her up without her consent.

“Well, I never really had company. So naturally I was never in need of one.”
Never had the need for a name? Didn't he ever, want to make up an identity for himself, show he truly existed on the planet? Strange, the thought never struck her mind before. If she had not been named Kisa, who would she have been? Kisa was named after her great-grandmother, that was her mother had told her. Whether that was a lie or not she didn't know. She used to trust her mother, but not anymore.
“Well, you’re the first to ask. So would you please grant me a name by with all shall call me?”
A tinge of pain overcame her, when he asked her this request. She felt like a mother. Kisa would never be a real mother. She had....Kisa shook her head left and right, trying to rid herself of those thoughts. Kisa ran a clawed paw along the side of her head, sighing as the most horrible memory she knew flashed before her eyes. A small moan of pain escaped her lips, but it was nearly inaudible. Slowly, she calmed herself, and looked up at him, he who was a lot taller. "If you request a name, I'll give you one," Kisa eyed him slowly. She looked up and down him, and then become locked to his eyes. They were vacant now, like he barely knew her. Not that he did, but this confirmed her suspicions of him being his own entity. "You're name is going to be...Kon. Soulful creature with eyes that peirce the souls of others."
Kisa tilted her head slightly and tried to smile while staring at her feet. "I used to know a man like you; one with the kindest of eyes, that could melt the harshest of hearts, and simply wanted to help others. The world needs more people like you and he. You're both, different, but, not in a negative way."
“I wish to let you rest, and then feed you some food that would help you, but I’d need to take you to my home. Would you mind me picking you up and flying you there, I wish not to crush my flowers.”
Kisa looked up at Kon, who was now just a few feet from her. It was true, Kisa wanted sleep, but he didn't, have to watch over her. She didn't, want to burden him. Her chocolate eyes found the ground below, but at the mention of flowers, she couldn't help but chuckle. "Yes, I wouldn't want to harm them more than I already have. I always bring pain, even when I don't mean to." Kisa looked over at the one injured flower that was trying to survive the rain. She dug through her pockets and slipped on a glove over her cursed hand. Kisa had to wonder if Kon tended to the flowers himself. They seemed sweet, like he did.
Kisa looked back up at Kon, trying to steady herself. Her inner demon was screaming in agony, feeling strangled with all the curse's affects eating her insides. "I know, that you probably have Warrick and Poe each telling you what they think of me. I apologize. Neither of them know me for what I really am, that, or Warrick would refuse to believe it. If you really, want to help me Kon....please be careful. I don't want....I don't want to go through it again. I don't want to have to...." she ran her hands over her eyes and shuddered, "I Don't want to watch someone else die! I can't! Not again! I don't want to, be helpless, like that."
Her memories were coming back again, what was once completely sealed away, was breaking free. She wanted to scream at the top of her lungs, she hated these memories. Kisa wanted to blame Kon, Warrick, Poe, those three, all releasing some of her memories. Instead her breathing became uneven as she chewed the inside of her lip. The taste of copper filled her mouth and it burnt the inside. Slowly, the memories subsided. Her eyes were filling over with a glassy exterior, as a fever started to break through her.
"That vial....Kon....don't keep it near you too long. It's not....it's dark magic. I wouldn't..." Kisa held her head and looked up at him. Her eyes were filled with many troubled emotions; misery, confusion, fear, exhaustion, need. She tried to smile again, foreign to her face, but tried as she held out her hand to him, "I trust you, Kon." It was a small whisper, but there was something in those eyes. He left it all up to her, he didn't distrust like Poe, or pressure like Warrick. Kon let her be who she wanted, and would let her decide when enough was enough.

"You're name is going to be...Kon. Soulful creature with eyes that pierced the souls of others."
Kisa said this to him while looking him in the eyes. He liked it when people looked him in the eyes as they talked; there was no room for lies to hide. That is lies in the view of the speaking person’s eyes. If there was one ting on this earth that he hated and never went low enough to do it himself was lying. Lies are what taint the soul and heart black as night. If one even once with out coming out with the truth, then their soul has a spot on it. That spot starts to grow like an infection; it takes over and soon there is nothing but the black tissue. Many people say some times it is necessary to lie, but what kind of life can you lead on false words. What comfort can be brought from knowing some one out there that you lied to is secretly suffering from the plague of darkness? There isn’t, yet the liars of this world are hiding behind the excuse that it can make others feel better yet they still suffer unknowingly.
Kon, he couldn’t decide if he liked the name or not at first. Part of him was torn at disliking and the other at liking. It was like when he had tried food at first. The different parts of your tongue tasted the food for the first time and all at once the message was sent to his brain. The message was like fire in his brain it ran every where with all the information his tongue had given him. Too much information going on for him to decide. Now, a few moments later, the message was broken down and decided on. He liked the name. He was unsure why he did, but he liked it.
Kon was about to say something to Kisa, but she turned her head away from him. He couldn’t read what was going on through her head any more. He couldn’t help but wonder if it was her being shy, embarrassed, or trying to hide things from his gaze. What ever the reason he disliked that she looked away; he wanted to see what went through her eyes until he knew he could trust her. A little agitated, he listened to her next words.
"I used to know a man like you; one with the kindest of eyes, that could melt the harshest of hearts, and simply wanted to help others. The world needs more people like you and he. You're both, different, but, not in a negative way."
More people like him? What was so different about him? Was it the fact that he couldn’t help but be as honest as he could? Was it that he gave care to some one he just met? Call him weird if you like, but he thought that was common curtsy. Now for wanting to have her rest and feed her, that was part of Poe and Warrick’s promise. Both of those beings were part of him and he always held up his word. It mattered not if she would burden him while she stayed; she would bring him comfort to in his loneness. Never had he spent time with a being, her presence will bring a new understanding to him. Not just of her, but of other people. Her own actions around him won’t base what he thinks about others, but what she says about the world out there. He intended on holding conversation with her as she stayed; he didn’t want to miss, maybe one of the only chances he gets, to learn about the world away from his home. After all he can never leave his home and see with his own eyes the world.
"Yes, I wouldn't want to harm them more than I already have. I always bring pain, even when I don't mean to."
Looking at her he couldn’t help but see something he knew she couldn’t see. When he looked at living things such as flowers or animals he saw them in two perspectives. What they could be and who they are. Looking at Kisa he saw what she was at first, some sort of cat demon with a curse. What he saw was a person who had given up prior to that moment, a person who let the curse lives their life. When he had looked deep down at what she could be when he had looked in her eyes, he saw something that amazed him. It had been like looking into a bright light that wanted to blind him. Yet with every light there is darkness, the down side. He also saw blood, lots of it. He couldn’t comprehend the full knowledge of what he had seen, but he knew which ever road she followed was up to her.
"I know that you probably have Warrick and Poe each telling you what they think of me. I apologize. Neither of them knows me for what I really am, that, or Warrick would refuse to believe it. If you really, want to help me Kon....please be careful. I don't want....I don't want to go through it again. I don't want to have to.... I don't want to watch someone else die! I can't! Not again! I don't want to, be helpless, like that."
She looked back up at him. In her eyes, the lovely colored eyes, and he saw a battle. The light he had seen trying to mask the darkness. Seeing this battle he was unsure if it would be safe to be so close to her as he carried her to his home, but he wasn’t perfect. He had to take a risk in life once and awhile or he would find himself in a hole he couldn’t climb out of. He took the risk this time because he saw the pain funning through her and smelled the blood of her self inflicted wound. She needed to rest and let her body replenish its strength, he wasn’t about to make her suffer longer while he figured out if it was safe or not. As her eyes got glossy he finished closing the gap between her and himself.
"That vial....Kon....don't keep it near you too long. It's not....it's dark magic. I wouldn't..."
As her words came out he saw so much pain, so much misery and confusion. Confusion with her emotions, pain, fear, and her exhaustion. He needed not another taught. His strong arms wrapped around her body, picking her up bridal style. She was so light that when he lifted her it was with next to no effort. As he picked her up his soul couldn’t help but stretch out to lift up the pains in her heart. Holding her tight, his wings flapped hard lifting both of them straight up into the air. Until he was at a high enough to easily just glide along with the sky’s moving winds he never took his eyes off her eyes.
"I trust you, Kon."
Kon, now the name fully accepted in his mind, smiled. It was not fake in any means and an innocent intent. High enough and not lingering on any means, he lifted his head and opened his wings fully so that his body would glide down onto his home. As he glided effortlessly down to the earth he flew under a clear opening from the storm clouds above. Within that space bright light from the sun just over head hit both of them. Kisa under his shadow wasn’t hit by the light. As the sun rested on Kon’s head it made an outline around him for any one looking up at him. With his white wings and the white outline he could have been mistake for an angle at the moment. His home in sight he started to descend faster to the ground.
o.o.c.- sorry got caught up in the post... ;D

His arms were so secure, she felt so tiny, like a newborn kitten. Kon kept her tight in his arms, and she couldn't help but rest her head against his chest. There her ears picked up on the delicate sound of his heartbeat, steady as it could be. When she had Kuze she used to rest beside him at night and his heartbeat would be the lullaby to put her into calming dreams. The wind around them moved quickly as Kon took off into the sky, but she didn't look around too much at the scenery below. Instead, her eyes stayed up at Kon.
She had felt his gaze on her and to be honest it was frightening. Kisa felt like Kon, was able to see past the facade she had been wearing for the past years. Kisa also felt that he, would not trust her like the other's had. It was like a pang of pain in her heart, this was what she had asked for, and now she regretted it. Kisa was one who was allowed an eternity to grieve for those who perished, but was given no time to recover. Something was always happening, and she tried, so hard.
Kisa felt coughs rumbling in her chest, a heavy wheezing sort of feeling. She turned her head from him and covered her mouth, her chest shaking as each painful cough came through. Blood covered her fingertips and Kisa contorted slightly in pain. The bloodied hand disappeared into her pocket, so the blood would not upset Kon. Her head found its place against his chest and she sighed. "I apologize for my condition, not just this illness," her eyes found comfort in the clouded sky. "Usually I can mask all of this. Whether you hate me for being a liar for having a facade is your decision, and that I will not hold against you. No one should have to see my pain, no one should have to see such an ugly creature endure her curse. We all have to face pain, so I figure, why should anyone had to view more of it. People are so kind, and the monster uses it against them."
Her eyes found the outline of his face and she had every urge to touch the contours of his face. Somehow, Kon did seem like a savior. Still, she did not allow her hand to go anywhere near him, in fear she'd awaken her beasts. Instead, she just watched him; the way his wings glided gently with the breeze, so graceful. "You think it would be so easy, to know what you want, and then pursue it. I know my isolation is my choice, and I don't ask for pity on the matter, but I wish I knew what to do. I've tried, I have, to let other's in, and what do I have to show for it?" Kisa closed her eyes and sighed. Corpses, that's what you have Kisa! Don't stay here with Kon, don't. You'll be putting him in danger. You don't want that guilt, you're selfish, you don't want another weight to be added.
Kisa felt consciousness being pulled from her and she twisted slightly in his arms. Her breathing was becoming labored and she felt her arms wrap around his waist, like his being would be what kept her from falling into nightmares and horrors. "I don't want to hurt you, I don't," she mumbled into his chest. "It's a monster, it's a monster, it kills everyone while I just sit there, trapped in my mind, watching it devour everyone. I don't want to be alone anymore, but it's the only way. It's the only way I can try and do some good here, spare people."
Realizing what she said she quieted herself. Now she sounded like a child. Kisa wondered if the world was better off if she died. Of course, she couldn't die, not without beating the curse. If she didn't, the next generation would have to go through the same agonizing life she did. How could Kon be so strong, how could he overcome all the warnings and dangers that came from being with her. Why? Why was he doing this? Really? Did he feel bad for her? Did he want to prove he could cure her? Why? What made him do this for her, a perfect stranger, a threat to his life?
Miserable tears filled her eyes as she buried her head against his chest, staring at the contours and running a hand over it lightly. "Why...."
[[AHH it was so GOOD but you left so little for me to work with!]]

Kisa. You seem to be getting worse and worse, I have to get you into bed and sleeping soon. When you wake up later I shall offer you some food that shall supplement her body and have herbs in it that should fix any illness within her body.
“I apologize for my condition, not just this illness. Usually I can mask all of this. Whether you hate me for being a liar for having a facade is your decision, and that I will not hold against you. No one should have to see my pain; no one should have to see such an ugly creature endure her curse. We all have to face pain, so I figure, why should anyone had to view more of it. People are so kind, and the monster uses it against them."
Her fidgeting while he tried to carry them both was a little uncomfortable, but he didn’t say a thing as he flew them through the air. Noticing he hadn’t really said much to her all the while he thought for a bit as to what he could say to her. Masks, they can hold lies, shy others away from the truth, and/ or are put on for play. Kon thought Kisa put on the mask for none other than to shy others from the truth. To hide her true self from the world, weather it be for protection or untrusting of all around her he didn’t know. From the way she talked though he guessed that she wanted to spare others pain; to not harm any one. Such a selfless act, yet in vein he sensed. One can put a demon in a cage and hold it there at bay, but with time and the demon’s restlessness its anger and evil intent intensify so that when it does it get all it leaves is unbelievable destruction.
"You think it would be so easy, to know what you want, and then pursue it. I know my isolation is my choice, and I don't ask for pity on the matter, but I wish I knew what to do. I've tried, I have, to let others in, and what do I have to show for it?"
What to want in life? What a question to ask one self. Kon himself hadn’t a clue as to what he wanted in life, nor if he had the means to pursue it after he decided. Kon knew a few small things he wished for in his life such as peace, a good home, and some one to share his life with; two of those he had, but the third he didn’t. He knew he wanted some one, but whom or how to win their love was a mystery to him. It wasn’t like he would ever have a wide selection to pick his gal from; he doesn’t see many women around his home.
Those are only basic things in his life he wanted, he didn’t know the major things he wanted; the dreams he would inspire to achieve. Not able to leave his home he didn’t have the means to discover what he wanted the most; no means to dream beyond the stars. Maybe not wanting some thing badly was a good thing. It didn’t blind his judgment, didn’t make him mad with wanton, and didn’t make him put important things aside. She, on the other hand, had the chance to go out and discover what she wanted in this world, yet she knew not of what she wanted. Did her curse really limit her that much? Her words made him think that what she wanted most at the moment was not an object, feeling, or place; but a person. It sounded as if what she wanted was a companion.
"I don't want to hurt you, I don't. It's a monster, it's a monster, it kills everyone while I just sit there, trapped in my mind, watching it devour everyone. I don't want to be alone anymore, but it's the only way. It's the only way I can try and do some good here, spare people."
Kon could tell she was losing her grip on her façade. He figured she liked to act tough and have cold feelings toward all to make them want to stay away from her. Well he wasn’t going to let her back sass, tough exterior, or her plea for his safely shy him away.
"Why...."
He really didn’t know. He was scared; very, but he wouldn’t leave her on her own. Maybe it was for his own gain to learn about the world away from his home, every man had to be a little selfish. Maybe it was his feeling of need to help her; like the rightful duty inside. What ever the case he had better get her inside and asleep soon.
Landing, his knees bended at impact to help absorb the shock of landing. His bodies lowered a bit while gravity took hold of him pulling him down; then using the force in his legs he pushed himself back up to stand straight. Without a second to waste he went inside his home. Passing his kitchen, living room, and other rooms his eyes never set on the decorated walls. The simple treasure Warrick and Poe brought home. He knew all the stories behind them, but he felt nothing for the objects. Having no doors he entered each room easy. Finally finding his room his feet touched the hard paneled wood flooring, his eyes glancing over the deep olive green walls, and the soft light coming in through the windows. Nearing his bed he slowed to a stop and laid her down on the soft silk black sheets.
“Rest please; when you wake up I shall have food for you.” He walked to the door way and looked over his shoulder at her. “Why am I doing this?” He let a deep chuckle in his chest rise out. “I don’t know. Guess just being nice.” A small joke to crack the silence. He smiled back at her, and if she had been looking, she would see have seen that because he was unsure. “Now rest please, we need you better to start planning our search for the cure.” He turned and left her to rest. Inside his head was the lingering feeling, the feeling of uncertainty.

He was a quiet one, Kisa noted. However, she felt so pathetic right now, she greeted that silence with open arms, figuring he was trying to understand who she was. The facade had lived on her for so long, that maybe it would consume her. Kon most likely knew, that she was a tortured soul, pathetic, the real her. Her head rolled away from his chest when she felt the shock of him landing.
There was a blurr of the home, her eyes barely catching onto it. There were trinkets about, different parts of the world, probably from traveling. Open air, and no doors. Kisa didn't like that, if the beast woke up while she was asleep it could be bad. Her ears twitched at the sound of his feet clicking against the wooden floor, her eyes still trying to absorb the different colors. The silk sheets were soft and cool, making her relax and try not to struggle that much.
Rest please; when you wake up I shall have food for you.”
Food, her stomach churned. Kisa was hungry, but the taste of copper and blood remained in her mouth. To be honest, she wondered how she ate at all, after all she had witnessed. How did she live with herself. Her back was against the bed, she rolled over slightly, to face the door. Two boots clunked to the ground, pulled off by her sandy colored tail, weapons following. The weapons piled up, not that it mattered, the monster could kill without any of that. Still, she found it her custom, to hand over those weapons to show she was going to trust him, Kon, and Kon alone.
“Why am I doing this? I don’t know. Guess just being nice.
Kisa's face remained emotionless, she knew. Kon was afraid of her, or more like, afraid of the curse. The chuckle filled the silence, placement, to keep away the awkwardness. It was why she wore her facade, and was tough as nails nintey-nine percent of the time. His smile made her force out a tiny one, her eyes more emotional than anything. They were tired, drooped, and screaming for the rest the body needed.
“Now rest please, we need you better to start planning our search for the cure.”
When he left Kisa sat up slowly, holding a hand to her chest, feeling her heart beat in pain. She dug through a pocket and pulled out one of her very few treasures. It was a small stone, one that was completely black with a small gem in the center of it. The gem was so very tiny, and nearly invisible and overpowered by the black. It was a clear but jagged diamond. She clenched the treasure and buried herself under the covers, letting her head lay just at the edge of the bed. If she coughed, her blood would stain the floor, not his clean silk sheets. Another search, another chapter of this never-ending quest. Sometimes, Kisa just wanted to stop, and live at peace with this curse. But still, Kisa couldn't stand to be alone.
"Kon has every right to be afraid, doesn't he?" SHe looked down at the stone in her hands. "You were afraid of me too, and look what has happened. It's been years, and finally, someone wants to help. Will the same fate fall upon him?" Kisa looked over at the empty space in the archway, "I hope not."
Kisa closed her eyes and let out a small sigh. Though she did not whimper, a lone tear stained his bed, and slowly disappeared into the darkness. Kisa would too, be consumed by darkness. Her body roared with fever, and the jacket was thrown to the floor in a frenzy. It was one fire, her forehead glazed with sweat as she contorted slightly. A painful expression was on that was left to her as she fell into a deep sleep. Nightmares were starting to form in her mind, the relief for all the guilt she felt in her life. Kisa turned quickly in the bed, the sheets shuffling around so that upper half stuck out. It was going to be a long time for her to recover, this time.

"Kon has every right to be afraid, doesn't he? You were afraid of me too, and look what has happened. It's been years, and finally, someone wants to help. Will the same fate fall upon him? I hope not."
Kon heard her last words as he made it into his living room. The cool floor felt good against his bear feet. A nice soft breeze made it through the open door way and across to him. Looking around he saw so many trinkets from Warrick and Poe’s lives. It hurt to think about all the memories that came with the objects; it hurt because none of them were his. He’d never have memories about things he would bring home to his house and hang on the walls; he could never leave. He closed his eyes tight trying to blank out the memories. Slowly the peace in his mind returned and he was Kon once again. His eyes opened slowly when her words registered finally in his brain and he her restless sleeping.
Afraid? What do I have to be afraid of? Dying? The life I live here in solitude and loneness; am I afraid of losing it? Why would I be afraid of losing my life when I’m trapped here, to never leave without my two demons consuming me? I know I have peace, but there is no filling or excitement. Almost like a heaven on earth; everything is perfect but you’re missing something, life. This man she speaks of, she must have loved him. As for his fate I guess something happened to him; something involving her curse and him dying. It’s sad that she lost him, but it is better to know love then to not love at all.
No longer tossing thoughts in his head he walked out into the open field of flowers around his home. The first thing that caught his attention was the daisy like orange, yellow flower that stood nearly two feet from the ground. These flowers lined the sides of his home bringing color to the gray stone walls. The Calendula, a beautiful flower and very helpful in making trying to heal the wounds inflicted inside the body. Bending down by the wall his eyes locked with one of them. The flower seemed to rock back and forth in the wind; it almost looked as if it was breathing when it moved slowly back and forth. The full flower, pedals extending out in a perfect 360 degrees, all the pedals simple and having their own beauty. His eyes focused on the middle of the flower were it was dark red and held all its pollen. His lips let out soft whispers.
“My dear friend, I need your help in healing Kisa. Will you permit me to use your life in this season to help her?”
When his lips stopped moving the air around the flower and him seemed to change. It wasn’t cold but warm with acceptance. The flower had said yes to his request. Extending his hand, his thumb and fore finger wrapped around the base of the head of the flower, they pinched together to meet each other through the stem. His second hand extended to catch the head of the flower as it fell down into his palm. Softly he let out a prayer for the flower for its future hardships. Standing he turned and looked over to the field of flowers.
The fields were all a different assortment of flowers, each having a special value and purpose, but there was one section of the field he walked to. At the beginning of the field there were brilliant pastel blue flowers that surrounded the vast amounts of purple flowers. The blue flower, Chicory, was only four feet tall. Like the Calendula he asked for permission to cut one down and once given permission he clipped off the head of the flower. It was a lovely flower and smelled beautiful. This flower should ease her coughing and sooth her wounds.
Turning to go back to his home with the two flowers his eyes stopped on the purple flowers. Never had he used them in a healing mixture. He wasn’t sure why, maybe it was because he didn’t know anything of the flower. Kon didn’t want to use the flower until he understood the way of the flower, but something inside him told him to use it. Attracted to the flower he moved toward it. All he knew about the flower was it was called foxglove and stood six feet tall. It was a beautiful flower and he would hate to clip it, but something told him to do it. Quietly he asked for permission yet again and when he was granted permission he clipped it and took it inside.
In moments after getting the flowers collected Kon was inside frying them with meats, herbs, and vegetables. The assortment was making a nice steamy aroma drift through the whole house. His gaze was focused down at the hot stone before him. The stone was from the land of fire, something Warrick had brought home. The rock from being in the base of the fire’s mountain was special; it never grew cold, it was always scolding hot. The cut up flowers and greens lay sizzling to the heat along with the bites of rabbit meat. The food fully cooked, Kon pulled out a yellow dish and put the assortment on it. It would take some time for it to cool fully, but while it did the aroma would be soothing for Kisa’s lungs to take in. Grabbing a eating utensil, Kon walked into his room and placed the dish on a table far enough away for her not to knock it over in her sleep, but close enough for her to take in the smell.
On his way out of the room he looked back at her sleeping figure. Her face seemed to be pained with nightmares going on inside her head. Hopefully the smell of the flowers, herbs, vegetables, and meat will sooth her dreams. Standing there looked down at her sleeping body he couldn’t help but let his mind wonder what it would be like to touch her cheek and lay a soft kiss on her lips.
What am I thinking? I can’t have her; she would never let me get that close anyway. Why am I even getting that far in head of myself? I don’t know if I can trust her yet or even why I’m doing any of this for her. She is a mystery to me. It would be best if I kept space until I figure everything out.
With one more look he turned to leave, but stopped at the door way. Something wouldn’t let him leave until he fulfilled his curiosity. He turned back and walked back and kneeled down next to her sleeping body. He couldn’t help it; his fingers ran through her hair softly; just soft enough not to wake her. Gently his fingers let her hair and trailed down her cheek. His lips came close to hers, his eyes half closed. Everything was being taken in slow to his brain. His body didn’t want his brain to get the messages; to afraid he would realize what he was doing and stop. Kon could feel he soft labored breathing hit his skin on his cheek. His lips moved slowly letting out the softest whisper.
“You’re so beautiful and deserve so much more than this.”
He didn’t know why he said that, but he knew some how in his heart it was true. His brain now alert he took his leave, but not without a parting gift. Softly he placed a kiss on her lips, touching only for a brief moment. Thought the moment only so brief he felt the heat like lightening run through his body and to his brain. Effortlessly he got up and left the room without making a noise. He felt horrible for what he did, he hadn’t the right. Some where he felt like it was meant, but he would beat himself up for it forever.

She opened her eyes to find herself beneath a willow tree. In that tree sat mourning doves, white doves, and a raven. Kisa couldn't help but feel her heart pound as the three stared down at her. She pushed herself up slowly, using her elbows as leverge. The mourning dove, promise, fear. The raven, the omen. The white dove, freedom. Kisa felt a pang of worry run through her whole body, shivers down to her toes.
Her nose twitched as the breeze picked up. She smelt smoke. Abruptly she sprang to her feet, just in time for someone to run around the bend along the river. "Kisa! Kisa I found you finally! Hurry, there's a fire in the village. We need your help."
His hair was white, he was lined with sweat, his eyes albino red. Still, he was no demon, nor a true albino, his skin was a lovely olive tone. Her Kuze looked at her in panic, and took her by the hand. She followed of course, picking her sword up off the forest floor mid-stride. "What started the fire?"
"There are three demons that entered the village, large snake-men demons. They tourched our homes when we resisted paying them some large some," the man replied as they sped up and enterd the town. A wave of scents hit Kisa, causing her to stumble back; flames, ash, demon blood, human blood. Her hand immediately pulsed and she roared with pain, her eyes turning red. "Kisa what is wrong?"
"Nothing! Just let me be," she released his hand and ran straight for the demons. Why do I smell....flowers? Kisa pulled out her sword and easily disposed of two of the large snake demon. Although strong compared to the average man, they were nothing for her. Her sword cut them nose to navel, and they fell with horrible screams, splashing her with blood. Kisa eyes were searching for survivors; finding a few huddled in a corner around a scroll. "What's the scroll? Hurry up and get out of here!"
"Kisa, this scroll's magic can put the fire out!" A villager called to her, pointing behind her that another demon was coming. "We need demon blood, give us yours!"
Kisa slew another demon and ran over to them. She wasn't bleeding yet, but she ran her blade through her palm and smashed her hand into the scroll before pushing them all out of the way of a falling roof. The sky turned thick with clouds, and the rain started to fall. Despite the rain dampening most of the scents, the blood still lingered in the air.
"Kisa!"
Kisa turned to see the man with the red eyes coming towards her slowly, cautious. As she opened her mouth to say something her left arm was completely devoured by the black curse, and a wild black ooze begin to take over, pulling at her sword. "I have to get out of here!" [/i] The dream turned fuzzy after that, Kisa remembered nothing. Her nose twitched again, she still smelt flowers, and something warm to the senses. The scent intensified slightly, this being Warrick putting the plate down on the table beside the bed. She remained still, despite the whirlwind of memories going through her head. Because Kisa had repressed her memories to such a severe point, never reconciling over them, they appeared in her dreams. It was the only release her mind felt it had. She felt her hand open a door to their cottage. Kuze! Wake up! Oh god wake up! KUZE! But it was hopeless, her body had been possessed by her curse. Once amber eyes were now black, once dusty colored hair now white, a devil creature, that she was.
Her boots clunked against the floor as she walked along through the house straight to the bed they shared. He was asleep above the covers, his hand resting over a small necklace she had given him. Kuze looked so peaceful. Kuze...forgive me...ohgodohgodohgod.
"Well well....so this is the one who's stolen your heart?" Her left hand slowly morphed into a long blade. "So sorry you won't be seeing him, you are allowed no happiness demon." The monster didn't know why, but tears were streaming down it's eyes. Maybe it was Kisa trying to break through, and tell her darling to run. One teardrop hit Kuze's face and he opened his eyes. "Hello, koi."
The monster leaned down and kissed his lips gently, the same time Kon had kissed hers. Kuze knew this was not the woman he loved, and stared with such a horror. He reached up and touched her face mouthing to her so slowly, "I love you, Kisa."[/i] You’re so beautiful and deserve so much more than this.”[/i] Her blade-hand smashed down through his and the monster was not able to hold it's form as Kisa began to scream inside with pain and anger, and oh so much sorrow. The vial was in her hands, and she drank it quickly. It pushed back the demon with one final cry from Kisa[/i]
Kisa screamed, a scream so carnal and sorrowful that it hurt the heavens. She fell straight out the bed, rolling around in such confusion. Her back hit the wall, making the room shake, and she stared down at her hands. They were trembling, and to her eyes, covered in his blood. Her eyes were tearing uncontrollably, and she was shaking like a newborn kitten in the winter.
Kisa looked around the room, panting. She found the scent of flowers, the food on the side counter. Her back hurt, she had fallen on her weapons, boots, and jacket. There was a raw red line across her chest on a diagonal, but it hadn't been enough to cut her skin. Kisa held her head with both her hands, tugging at the strands like she wanted to rip them apart.
It was just a dream. No, it wasn't. Kisa knew this. Kisa knew this was only a few of the sins she had comitted. She had killed Kuze's village, and Kuze himself. Kisa rolled over so her head hit the floor. She did not know, but this was how her fever had broken. Her illness was replaced with angst and her broken heart. Kisa stared at the small stone in her hand and cried, closing her eyes.
"God damn god damn god damn. Why didn't they just kill me when they had the chance? Was this what you wanted...mother...father..."
Kisa touched her lips, feeling a warmth that lingered against them. She thought it was vividness from her dream of Kuze, and the monster's cruel last kiss, not knowing it was Kon. She couldn't move, her whole body felt like it was paralyzed. The scent of food above her calmed her breathing, enough to get her to have an even breathing pattern again. Her heart returned to a normal beat, but it still felt like it had been shatered once again. Her eyes opened again and she stared at the dust beneath the bed, a whisper in her voice, "Kon...."

After leaving Kisa in his bed with food on a side table for her he had silently left the house to go think. Kon didn’t think that she would wake from her dreams so soon, so he figured he might stay outside for a bit to straighten out his head. As he left the front door his wings beat hard four times to lift him up into the sky. He knew the rain was coming and would start while he was still in the sky, but he didn’t care. The world consisted of good things and bad things; the sunny sky and the rainy sky. To live without the one is to have nothing but perfection and a boring existence. To not have the other is to have a horrible life full of hatred and death. There had to be both to equal each other out. The rain today was fitting; it not only numbed his body and make his head clear, but made him see the down fall in his home. Sure his home was perfect in all aspects and made him live in peace. Was it perfect? Is it perfect to be bound to this place, is it perfect to not to know where his heart belonged in this world, is it perfect if he can’t have the one thing he wants most in his life.
“But I don’t know what I want most in life.” Yes you do. You know exactly what you want. She sits right inside that house lying on your bed. You know that is what you want. “No. No I don’t.”
Kon shook his head vigorously to get the second voice in his head to go away. He thought the voice was Warrick speaking, but in truth it was his heart telling him to open his eyes to the truth. Not accepting supposed Warrick’s words he flew away harder. The rain started to drop down onto his body harder making his wings heavy and his flaps more laborious to make. The clouds above his head were getting really dark, so dark that normally he would drop from the sky. This wasn’t a normal moment for him though, he flew higher.
“I don’t want her, she ahs a curse I’m not sure I can handle.” Just because you’re not sure doesn’t mean that it is definite that you can’t help her. “Even if I could she’d never stay here afterwards. She’d leave and go back to the rest of the world and leave me here unable to leave my imprisonment.”
Kon was now in the dark hazy clouds. He didn’t care if it was dangerous, he just didn’t care. His body was so drenched now that he was carrying over 15 more pounds of weight in water. The added weight and the force of the water hitting him all worked against him to push him down. Some how, in his mind, he saw the rain as Warrick and Poe trying to make him fall to his temptation; to prove to him that he was just as bad as them. He wasn’t like them, he was a decent person, he was different. He wasn’t Poe or Warrick, he was… Kon stopped flying in mid air.
“I’m both of them.”
Suspended in mid air he turned and looked back at his home. Almost as if standing next to her he saw he body lying on his bed. Even if he did want her it wouldn’t make a difference. All people want things, but some are just not meant to be had. Kisa was one that he wasn’t supposed to have. She had tasted her love and Kon had no right to replace him. He bet he couldn’t replace him if he tried. He’d never replace him because Kisa would never want him; she wouldn’t want to be stuck here with him even if she some how had feeling for him.
All while he had been having a mental battle the storm had broke through. Lightening started to cover the skies. He was unable to break free form his trance the lightening came closer and closer to his body. Suddenly he heard it.
“Kisa!”
His body jumped into movement his body narrowed so as to rip through the air quick, and his wings flapped faster than he ever remembered. His body whipped through the sky, but as much as he tried to get to his home he was taken from the sky. The lightening struck, not close enough to hit him, but enough for the intensity in the air to make him pass out and drop to the ground. His body, taken by gravity, hit the ground hard crushing many flowers on his way.
With the fall and his consciousness lost Warrick and Poe were able to wreck havoc on him. Warrick and Poe both struggled to claim the body, but neither were successful. A mental picture was in Kon’s head. Kon’s body lay still on a bed in the background as Warrick and Poe stood face to face. Both kept screaming at each other, fighting for dominance never realizing Kon lay behind them. As their screams grew louder and louder Kon grew more and more restless. As much as they screamed, though they couldn’t wake him from his sleeping.
"Kon...."
Even as soft of a whisper it was it still made it to his ears. Instantly his body raised form the ground and made its way toward his house. Coming fresh from a fight between Warrick and Poe his head was out of sorts and was doing everything on impulse. When he made it inside his house he didn’t even stop to prevent everything from getting wet. Kon went straight for Kisa. When he entered the door way he was in such a state of disarray his emotions were written all over his face. He ran over to Kisa and knelt down next to her trying to help her up.
“Are you alright?”
o.o.c.- sorry this one isn't great... I promise teh next one will be better....

Kisa lay there on the floor, tears dripping from her eyes, her fingers wrapped around that tiny stone. From her toes to her ears she felt like her body was dying; the last of the illness taking her energy, along with the added weight of heartbreak. It happened every time after the curse, a relapse sort of affect. Her eyes were wide, expressionless, like her soul had been broken.
You are allowed no happiness demon.
Her monster's words echoed in her mind. It was true, wasn't it? Kuze, the villagers, her clan, her brother, her...family. Everything was stolen from her. Somewhere in her shallow mind she heard the sound of fast-moving footsteps, water pelting to the floor, leaving a trail. Then she felt a presence at the door. Her head turned just slightly, a sort of pained gasp escaping her throat as she looked up at him. Kon was soaking wet, covered head to toe, his beautiful blue hair leaving a river for run-off. Her fingers twitched slightly, like the very sight of him was bringing life back to her.
“Are you alright?” You are allowed no happiness demon.
Kisa shook her head slightly on the floor, feeling another pained breath enter in and out. Her hand lost its grip on the stone, and it rolled a few inches away. Within a flash he was at her side, trying to help her sit up. Everything felt weak, like extra weights were tied. Was this the weight of a heart, of such a heavy burden. Kisa's hands snaked about and grabbed his forearms gently, slowly hoisting herself up. The dream had left her so disoriented and frail she was woozy, and her body fell forward into Kon's strong chest.
Kisa's eyes widened, but she couldn't speak. Everything hurt, so much. No, she wasn't all right. She would never be all right again, Kisa wanted to tell him that. Instead, a silent stream of tears began to pour as she buried her head against his chest. Her nose was to his chest, her tears dripping from him, some hitting the floor, some coating his clothing, though it did not matter. He was so wet, he probably couldn't feel her tears. " I......"
The image came back to her, Kon's last face before his death. She screamed again, gripping at his sides like she was going to be engulfed by her nightmares. Her hands left him though to cuff her head, fangs elongated in panic, claws digging into her scalp causing little streams of blood to appear on her forehead.
Make it stop! Make it stop! I am a murderer! I am a monster! No more!
Kisa looked up at him with her broken amber eyes. Help me, her eyes screamed. This always happened though, usually, she woke up alone. She'd fight off her inner demons herself, having no comfort from any fleshy being. Suddenly Kisa had to wonder if he was real, this kind Kon. Her hands touched his chest, as if testing for his solid state. Her hands spread out across his chest, one tracing over his heart, feeling its beat against her. He was real, thank god. A sigh escaped from her. Slowly her common sense, and calmness was returning. Kisa was still shaking though, her body still living in a panic, though it was slowly receding.
Kisa leaned her forehead against his wet chest, closing her eyes again slowly. Her head was pounding. She clenched a fist and slowly her fangs shrank back to a normal size, her claws too. Kisa looked down at her hands, checking for any indication of Kuze's blood, there was none. As much as she wanted to say it was 'just a dream' it wasn't.
".....I'm all right now.....I'm sorry," she turned her head away and looked at the stone. Her breath rumbled as a whimper was released, "It...always happens like this...every time, every single time."
Kisa pushed herself to lean against the wall, pulling her legs to her chest. Her left hand laid on her knee, the other at her side shaking uncontrollably. Apparently her body had not completely left shock, nor had her mind completely come back as a whole. "I'm a horrible creature, Kon. I would have taken my life decades ago, but if I did that, the curse would only be passed down to a newer generation...."
She ran a hand over her face, wiping at the last of her tears. It was part of why she was still fighting this curse, only part. Maybe Kisa subconsciously hoped that, if she broke this curse, all those she had slew would forgive her, and pass on easy. Kisa looked back at him, and smirked lightly, "You're soaking wet....put on some dry clothes...or you'll get sick too, you know." A feeling of guilt rode through her, his emotions were all over the place. Had her outbreak upset him that much? Oh damn. What a cruel creature she was.
".....I don't think I can stay here, Kon. I can't....I can't put another unsuspecting being through this. As much as this curse eats my flesh, as much as my past haunts my dreams, a companion suffers just as much as me. No, worse." Kisa reached over and touched his face, new tears sliding down her cheeks. "I killed them Kon, and I'm sorry."

If words could explain what he was thinking at the moment he would say them, but he couldn’t find words. He just stopped breathing and backed up out of the door way. He stood there for a moment just looking at her crying there. Why was she crying? If it hurt her so much to say good bye to him then she wouldn’t be saying it. His inner being had been right, he knew she wouldn’t of stayed. She already yarned to leave. Fine, he wouldn’t keep her here and make her be caged in like him. It was her choice to leave. Inside he went cold, the pain surging through his body. He turned from her and didn’t look over his shoulder when he spoke; she need not see how much she just hurt him. He spoke sternly not letting her hear the pain in his voice.
“It is your choice to leave, don’t cry about it. It is your choice to go away from me, just as it was my choice to let you stay here in my home; my choice to try to cure you. It is my choice if I wanted to risk my life, and I chose to do so. But it doesn’t matter; you want to take that choice from me.”
He couldn’t help but let tears fall from his eyes. It hurt so bad inside. As if a heart attack taking he heaved foreword. Pain took over his body, his veins started to pop from his arms, legs, and face. His right arm grabbed at his chest trying to stop the pain from pulsing outward from his heart. Never had he experienced such pain. Remembering Kisa behind him he strained to stand straight and speak steady.
“If you leave and I’m not here just go through my house for anything you’ll need on your journey from here. If I’m not here… good bye Kisa.”
With that Kon left the room and disappeared from the house out into the fields. He didn’t intend to come back to the house until the next morning so he would be sure to miss her leaving. He knew if he was there when she left he would ask her to stay and he didn’t want to do that. He didn’t want her to see what she had done to him. He didn’t want her to see how he some how, without even really known her, feel in love with her. Out in the distant field Kon laid down and started to do something he has done since he was young. He curled up in a ball and cried. The pain from his heart started him to convulse in pain and cough up blood. Realizing the blood came out he stood and started running around. He knew she was a demon and would smell his blood. He didn’t want to be there when she left.
“Bye… Kisa…”
He went on running and running, he never even noticed Warrick take over. With Warrick there and pain fresh all over his body he knew for some reason that he should just kept running and running. Warrick thought and thought trying to find out why he hurt so much. Why he hurt as bad as the day his family had thrown him out calling him a monster. No woman had ever been able to take his heart fully enough to cause him this much pain; so what was it?

“It is your choice to leave, don’t cry about it. It is your choice to go away from me, just as it was my choice to let you stay here in my home; my choice to try to cure you. It is my choice if I wanted to risk my life, and I chose to do so. But it doesn’t matter; you want to take that choice from me.”
Kisa felt the world fall apart as he turned his back to her. A stab grew in her heart, and she felt it rumble through her whole body. It was about choice, she knew that. She was chosing to be alone to spare his life. But he was right, she was, wrong, yet again. Kisa let the tears keep falling, she didn't care if Kon saw them anymore. But something else made it hurt more, she smelt his tears.
“If you leave and I’m not here just go through my house for anything you’ll need on your journey from here. If I’m not here… good bye Kisa.”
Just let that he was gone. His pain still lingered in the room, like a fresh scar across her body. Slowly, she began packing up her belongings. Kisa knew she had ruined something that could've been wonderful, but she had ruined all other things wonderful to. Low and behold, this was Kisa's curse. In her attempt to save others from the savage monster that lived inside of her, she pushed other's away, and hurt them. With her jacket on, boots on, and weapons on her belt, she slowly made her way through the door he had escaped through.
Kisa stood in the doorway of his home, and a sigh rumbled through her chest. "Even if I'm a horrible person for hurting you, Kon, you don't know what hurting is. It wasn't my CHOICE to kill Kuze, it wasn't my choice to have my family betray me, or have my brother day. It wasn't my choice to lose everyone I ever loved! Kon, I killed my own child! As much as I want to be here, my mind won't stop telling me how much I'm putting you in danger. Do you really want me to believe that you'll be different, and the monster won't try and harm you too?" Kisa covered her eyes and sank to her knees. "I told Warrick not to fall in love with me, I told him he didn't even know me. I told you all! And now look what's happened! Look!" That was the biggest secret of all, the death of her son. She had gone through four months of pregnency just to have her monster strangle the baby inside of her. One day when she was relieving herself, he came out in pieces, eyes blue and in shock. Her own body had killed her baby, the last remains of her love for Kuze, far after she had murdered him. Kisa had loved and lost, but had lost love with her own hands. Now she was in the home of a savior, one who deserved so much better than her and her little curse. Kisa clenched her fists and jerked her head to have her tears water the unsuspecting flowers," "Kon, you deserve far better than I could ever provide! I'm sorry! I'm not worth this heartache and tears!"Then she stopped, she felt blood. Despite how fleeting it was, it lingered on the flowers where Kon had been. The flowers seemed to droop with sorrow as the blood crescent insignia on her hand glowed. The curse didn't waste anytime. It ripped through the glove and it walked up her arm in a frenzy. Without even two minutes passing it had consumed her upper half, slowly choking her body to gain full possession. Her eyes flickered between amber and blood red. It was like a plague consuming her flesh. It fought to gain the rest of her face, her hands clawing at her throat like she wanted to pull the curse back down.
"....K....Kon....the vial...." She knew he couldn't hear her, she knew he didn't care anymore. She knew that, she knew, and still she was crying. She felt the left hand grab at her sword, and slowly pull it from it's sheith. What did the monster want of her now? This was the third time today, it had never happened three times in one day. Was she...going to die?
Then two screams pierced through the air, one belonging to Kisa, the other belonging to the monster. Her hands slowly morphed into long talon like hands, the black pulse grabbing at her chest and taking over her heart.
Kisa was choking on blood, was her own monster trying to destroy her? Was this just too much? Was revealing the truth a no no for the monster? Her memories flooded in front of her eyes, and then she felt it. Her sword shoved through her abdomen, and she fell to her knees and the monster continued to destroy her."KON!" "You're such a pathetic little demon, to let a lowly hanyou steal your heart. Best of all, you aren't even aware that he has run off with it. Once again you pushed another away. Silly pathetic little Kisa, you are allowed no happiness. This is the oath of my mark, it was given to you the day your brother died and your parents sold their souls to me."
Blood leaked from her flesh and stained Kon's front stoop as a cackle ran through Kisa. Slowly the demon pulled the sword from her, a gasp belonging to Kisa echoing through the monster. "You think you're so courageous, to bare this curse and plea no one else beyond you has it. But your mind is weak dear Kisa, I will need a new host soon. There is no cure to beat me, stop kidding yourself. I will leave you here to think as the last of your blood leaves your body; think of all you murdered, all you destroyed, all those you left to grieve for losses, and most of all, I'll let you think about how you broke that man's heart. Enjoy your last few minutes, Kisa." Kisa's eyes returned to being amber as she emptied a puddle of blood beside her. Her eyes blurred, watching the black slither back to its hole in her hand. THe after curse would arrive soon, but it didn't matter, not this time. Kisa had no healing madicionals with her, and the wound in her abdomen was pouring blood like water in a stream.
Standing up, she took a step, her boots and belongings clinking, her sword hitting the earth with a thump. Kisa knew it, she was going to die. A sense of ease, and yet horror ran through her. Someone else would have to feel this heartache, and oh, if she died here, she'd land on all of Kon's beautiful flowers. Kisa chuckled and continued to cry, and she tried to drag herself farther through the fields of flowers. It was still raining, and most of her blood was being washed away just as quickly as it came from her wound, but it still managed to stain the flowers.
It was true, the monster usually healed itself when Kisa was injured. But because this wound was created by the monster itself, it saw no reason to heal it. Kisa was going to die here, alone, still managing to injure another unsuspecting being without her even being conscious. This was what it was like. People wanted to help, and were always hurt. When Kisa warned them, was she referring to flesh wounds, not in the least. Kisa knew how much heartache it would take, and only someone who really loved her, would've stayed and fought past that.
Lightning crashed in the background, her vision blurred, and she hit the ground like a rock. Her body wouldn't move any farther. Poor Kon, he was probably long gone by now. He'd return home and think she had left, when she was actually lying there in one of the fields of flowers, dead, being picked off by buzzards. If he could hear one thing, she wanted him to hear her goodbye,"Sayonara.....koishiii."
I wonder if he'll even keep the name I gave him, now that I've broken him like that. I'm....sorry.
Kisa closed her eyes and awaited her death.

Run, just keep running. If I run long enough I’ll pass out and the pain inside will go away. The insides of my heart it just feels like it isn’t there any more. Oh shi…
Warrick had been running and his footing was lost. Face first down into the ground; body starting to roll over the rest of is body. The force of his body hitting the grass made him dig into the soil and lift it with him; flowers were ripped out of its place too. Warrick’s body had turned into a rolling ball of earth. As his body finally landed in a way he wouldn’t roll any more he flopped down. The breath in his lungs was taken and he couldn’t move for a minute. Not a noise around him the sound of Kisa’s voice was picked up easily.
Do you really want me to believe that you'll be different, and the monster won't try and harm you too? I told Warrick not to fall in love with me; I told him he didn't even know me. I told you all! And now look what's happened! Look! Kon, you deserve far better than I could ever provide! I'm sorry! I'm not worth this heartache and tears!"
Kon?
He couldn’t help but think that she had meant to say Warrick instead of Kon. Warrick not know pain? She hadn’t the faintest idea of what he had gone thought in his life. Yes losing all the ones you love is unbelievable pain, but as the famous saying goes; it is better to love and lost than to never love at all. Warrick never truly knew love, his parents never showed him true love, and if they had he wouldn’t have run away after being deemed a monster. All the women he had met didn’t making him feel… feel… he didn’t know. He couldn’t describe love because he didn’t know what it was. Something though, when she said she wasn’t worth the heartache and tear, went click.
No! I know what it is like to love now, anything is worth that.
Kon was back in control and he was a little angry now. Not at Kisa but at himself. It took him until now to except that she had taken his heart and that no matter what he couldn’t live with himself until he rid her of her curse. But how? This Kuze guy must have gotten close, but not all the way. Kon couldn’t help but want to prove he could do what the Kuze guy couldn’t yet he knew he shouldn’t try to erase her memory of him.
Kon rolled over and onto his feet when he heard her cry out for him and the ripping pain of the sword ripping into her. The sounds shattered his earth. It was like the earth tilted on its axis’s and nothing would be right until he set them back in place; which he couldn’t do until the curse was lifted from her soul. Lifted and about to jump through the flowers to reach her a demonic voice rang out.
"You're such a pathetic little demon, to let a lowly hanyou steal your heart. Best of all, you aren't even aware that he has run off with it. Once again you pushed another away. Silly pathetic little Kisa, you are allowed no happiness. This is the oath of my mark, it was given to you the day your brother died and your parents sold their souls to me. You think you're so courageous, to bare this curse and plea no one else beyond you has it. But your mind is weak dear Kisa, I will need a new host soon. There is no cure to beat me, stop kidding yourself. I will leave you here to think as the last of your blood leaves your body; think of all you murdered all you destroyed, all those you left to grieve for losses and most of all, I'll let you think about how you broke that man's heart. Enjoy your last few minutes, Kisa."
Kon’s face twisted in disgust and the dragon blood in him started to race with fury. The claws in his hands extended, the sharp fangs lengthened out, and his wings flying back in rage. His eyes turned a deep color as his anger intensified. With his anger though his mind made a hasty decision. He knew how to rid her of the curse. Stepping forth Kon looked down at Kisa’s body and the curse within her. Quickly he grabbed her body and held her up so she could see him.
I love you Kisa, and I’ll do anything for you to be rid of the curse… even if it means destroying myself in the act.
“You indeed need a new host you vial curse and I can give you one. One that is strong, fit, and able to soar the skies… one that is me. I shall give you my body to take as a new host.”
Kon wasn’t about to give up his body to easy thought, he wanted to insure something first though. Something that made this whole thing worth it.
“But… on one condition. You are to leave Kisa and any family she has forever. You’ll never harm her again.”
Kon knew that curse probably wouldn’t want to give up Kisa, but he also figured that the curse probably wouldn’t want to pass up its chance of a perfectly healthy, strong, winged host. This would give it the opportunity to harm more people, especially being able to fly now. Yes Kon knew it was giving the curse an opportunity it most likely wouldn’t find again and that it would kill many people, but he also knew that once the curse would take him, he’d have Kisa kill him. He had no relatives for the curse to continue with so it would end with him.
I can’t live with her dying or living with the curse, so either way I’ll die.
o.o.c.- sorry I feel I could of done more with that.... i'm un happy with myself on this post...

Kisa eyelids lifted lightly. Her vision was blurred and she could barely control her limbs, they were all numb, and she was pale. Her fingers flexed lightly, one reached out and touched his face. Kon? What was he....doing here? Hadn't he left? Tears flowed down her face so much she couldn't feel them, like it was a natural thing for her to be weeping like this. Her breathing was so labored, shallow. A realization came upon her and her face twisted in pain and her eyes turned red.
"No! Don't you dare! Let me out! Let me out right now!" Kisa pounded against the walls of her mental cage. Her monster stared at her, the retched thing, her form but completely black, capable of shifting into any other form. "Don't hurt him! Don't you dare!"
You indeed need a new host you vial curse and I can give you one. One that is strong, fit, and able to soar the skies… one that is me. I shall give you my body to take as a new host. But… on one condition. You are to leave Kisa and any family she has forever. You’ll never harm her again.
The monster turned back to Kisa and chuckled, "That little fool, doesn't he know you have no family? You killed them all, didn't you, Kisa-neko?" It watched her ears droop and she start to tremble. A cackle escaped her lips, "He hasn't the faintest idea what I have in store for you." [/i]
The monster glanced down at her host's bleeding body and grinned. The smile was so venomous. She laughed and looked up at Kon, "Such a strong little boy my poor Kisa-neko has started to fall for, shame. Do you think I am so foolish, I have survived for centuries dear boy. Kisa has no family, I have killed them myself. I hung her brother, tricked her parents into selling their souls, murdered her husband, and took her baby before he could even have his first breath." She traced a finger up and down his chest. "The other Bobcat demons will not let her back into their clan, it is tradition. You exile that which could endanger the prosperity of the village."[/color]
"Stop telling him that! Stop telling him! Stop it!" Kisa banged her hands against her cage and sceamed. "You know you cannot have his body, he is not a bobcat demon."
"You forget dear Kisa, once a demon marks another, they are conjoined down to their very souls. If you two become new lovers, just as Kuze, he will possess traces of your demon. I could've controlled Kuze if I had wanted, he was so much smarter than you." The monster cackled and back-handed her across the cheek. "I am over a thousand years old, you pathetic neko. I will not be fool so easily. I believe that, I might just let you die here, you only have, ehh, a few minutes left. I'll just have to jump to another bobcat demon, and have her fall in love with this man too."
Kisa screamed in her cage, fangs elongated and claws too. The cage was rumbling with the rage she was producing, her aura like a wild fire. "LET ME OUT!"[/i]
Kisa rubbed her chin and thought for a while, purposely wasting time so her host could die. "You were a noble cause, to try and free this girl, you tried just like Kuze did. Kuze had something you did not--he had done more research and asked Kisa more questions." Kisa stroked the side of his face and let out a dark purr. "Your body is a strong one, that I will agree with, but I cannot have it ,yet. There are two things you should be aware of, one, I cannot switch bodies until my host dies. I eliminate the host myself, I can hop to the next body. Two, I can only be in a bobcat demon."
The monster allowed this to sink into Kon's mind. She held up her hand slowly, letting Kon see it. "This is the mark of the Bobcat Demon Curse. Their kind betrayed a god eons ago, and this is their price." An idea struck the monster's mind. "There is a way for you to take this curse from her, but----" The monster was cut off and she held the right side of her head. "You damn girl, don't you know your place! Aren't you dead yet!"
Kisa had transformed into her beastly form, the true form, and smashed through her cage. She had the monster under her paws, her claws digging into her other self. "YOu will not tell him the way to free me!"
She laughed, "So you will always love this man but never be able to comit to him. You were willing to make love to your darling Kuze, and mark him, but you will not with this one. My my you've fallen for him hard. To bad, now you'll just be lying to him. I'm so proud of you, pathetic wench!"
"I didn't know back then! I did not know! Don't you ever think I tried to sacrifice Kuze for my freedom! NEVER THINK THAT![/i]
Kisa managed to take over her body, a gasp coming through her as her eyes returned to their amber glow. Her amber eyes gazed up at his beautiful face and she smiled weakly. She covered his eyeswith her hands and purred lightly for him. She pressed her lips against his softly and closed her eyes. Her tail skillfully danced around his waist, until finally it dug into his pocket and pulled out the purple vial. Kisa couldn't feel her body any longer, like the nerve connections to her mind had been shut down to spare her that agony. All except her lips, she loved the way his felt against hers, like she had felt them somewhere before. Tears dripped from her eyes slowly, hitting his chest and slithering away, her heart slowing down.
Kisa's tail popped the lid to her vial. She pulled her lips from his and her hands from her eyes and took one last glance at him, her eyes portraying it, 'Don't worry' . She rolled out of his arms purposely, and took the vial in one shot. Kisa usually could land very gracefully on her feet, but the toxins entering the system made her fall straight onto her back. She could faintly feel it, the way her blood that had accumulated on the ground stuck to her back. Like a seizure her body contorted and twisted itself as screams echoed from her. It was so painful, Kisa was afraid it's pain with her wound would kill her. At least if she died now Kon would be safe, but some unsuspecting bobcat would not be.
Her eyes opened wide along with her mouth, and from both of them shot out the black aura into the sky. A carnal growl belonging to her monster could be heard as it vaporized above her head.
Kissaaaa, you think you've escaped me? Hahahahha you haven't won yet! I will have this boy's body, and you will be spared only to live alone FOREVER![/i]
The wound to her abdomen closed up and it left no indication it had ever been there. Now she was no longer bleeding, but she still was at death's door. Kisa did not tell him, but it took a piece of her soul each time she used it. Complicated, she knew, everything was. Her body had used up all its energy, she was completely defenseless. Her eyes opened up just slightly, a blurred image of Kon in her periferal vision. She lifted her hand with a little wave and mumbled, "I'm sorry."
With that, Kisa lost consciousness and fell into a world beyond nightmares, memories, and the taunting call of her monster. One week, the vial gave her one week without her monster. It took one week for the creature to heal, and hopefully Kisa wouldn't be unconscious that entire time. Kisa's last fleeting thoughts were how perfect the weather had been, how the sky and heavens had cried for her and what she had just done, and how quickly it had stopped once the monster vanished. She thought about how upset Kon must be with her, taking that vial, kissing him with an alternative motive, and not letting her monster take his body to save her. No, she couldn't do that to him. Her final thought, was how warm and wonderful his lips had been.

Love… hate…love… hate…
If you are there Airos hear my plea. I’ve lost everything, all of it to one being. I’ve never known such feelings. I can’t take them, they are too much. I love and hate at the same time. I want to cry and laugh all at once. I wish to live but can’t bear to feel the pain any more. Please help me! I’m losing my mind. I love Kisa with all my heart, yet I know for some reason she’ll never allow me to be with her. The feeling still extends if I think of her without her curse. I don’t know she has me thinking in way I never thought before. She has me falling head over heals. I’m acting like normal men the ones that make hast decisions before thinking them out. I almost gave my life without thinking it all the way through. But that is the other point, I hate her so. She makes me not want to live unless I can have her. She has made things I used to love, like my flowers, turn to ash in my eyes. I feel no fulfillment in the ordinary things that used to make life easy to go through and fun to pass the time with. I can’t help but think when she says good bye and I’m almost sure she will, I’ll die inside. I can’t get over not being able to live without her even though right now it is only a picture in my mind. How bad will it be when she does? Airos please help me.
The emotional battle taking place in his head was enough to make this strong man cry outwardly. The crystal clears tears lined his cheeks as he lay motionless floating in a pound within his field of flowers. It was creepy that while he float there and the emotional battle took place there was no expression on his face, just the crystal tears that ran down into the ice cold water. At first his entrance into the water had made his skin peek with goose bumps and his teeth clicked together, but now that he is used to the numbing feeling his lips shuttered no more and his body only was masked with a deep shade of blue. Under the moonlight he looked like a fallen angel that has finally given up. That was pretty much true in his case. He had given up on lying to himself about not loving her, he had given up on life for it wasn’t really worth having, and he had given up on searching for some one to be there for him; some one who would love him back enough and take that ever growing emptiness away.
Kon closed his eyes and stopped thinking, stopped breathing, stopped doing everything and just let his body slip down and down, ever further into the water that from the shore line looked only five feet deep, but was in fact almost thirty after you passed the darkness that clouded the bottom of the pound. His whole body submerged into the cold water which if he didn’t come up would be his final resting place. His body sank ten feet down in fifteen seconds, his mind started to go on thinking again. At first Kon didn’t want to let the thoughts invading his mind ruin his cold embrace of soon to be death, but he welcomed them then.
Her face it is so beautiful. I can’t help but think of you Kisa. I can’t help but picture you face in my head. I don’t picture you as I’ve seen you though, I picture you smiling. I know I’ve never seen it, but it is so beautiful to see you face happy instead of sad. Your eyes don’t cry with pain but glimmer with happiness, joy, and love. Your hair falling around you beautiful face, the sun hitting the golden sun hues making your hair radiant. And those lips, the lips that you had kissed mine with. They were so soft and warm. When you kissed me everything stopped. It might have only been a brief kiss, but it seemed like eternity to me. I wonder what it felt like fore you. It probably didn’t mean anything to you; you only kissed me to fool me long enough so you could drink that poison.
Twenty feet down, holding his breath deep in his chest now for thirty seconds, the smile that had developed from her thought slowly disappeared as yet more salty tears left his eyes; only to be lost in the pounds depths.
Why did I lose my heart to her, why? She hasn’t shown me anything worth loving. No! That is a lie. There is so much she has that is worth loving. She is selfless and will cause herself pain o keep others from it. Such a noble woman. Yes, a noble woman who had won my heart and now her selflessness only hurts me inside. I wish for a moment she would just render herself fully to me so that I might heal her wounds and make her feel loved. I wish she would stop thinking that her curse will consume me and just try to live for a moment. Even if it does consume me, it is better to know a moments worth of love than a life time of none. Yes, that is all I’ll have. She has seen love from her Kuze, and she won’t want to go through that pain to feel it again even if it were a moment with me. If she’d render her guard and let me show her love she’d be blessed twice, but not me. Who am I to think she would ever give the love back, she hasn’t feelings for one such as I. She told me not to love her, and that’s because she’d never love me back.
His back hit the rocks below his body resting down on the muddy bottom. It has been forty five seconds now of not breathing. Carefully he slowly started to let out the air he had held in his lungs, the air that had kept him living, and the air that would be his last breath.
No matter, even if she loved me not, I had loved once in my life and felt what it was like to love. Thank you Kisa, you might have brought me un ending pain, but you have given the chance to see what love truly felt like. It is invigorating yet painful. To have another hold your heart because you care so much about them that nothing else can make that heart beat except her. But to have her cause you pain knowing that she’ll always be in danger, that she will always face pain too, and that you might never get to hold her heart. Thank you Kisa, you have given me more than you know. It was worth the pain to feel for that moment because as I die here, the moment that plays over in my head is the moment that was the best. The moment where I kissed your lips as you lay in my bed. Not the painful moments, but the one I’ll cherish on in my watery grave. Thank you Kisa. I love you.
The air fully out of his lungs, and soon his body will cry out in need of air but instead take in water drowning him.
I’m glade you’ll never know how I died Kisa, but if you some how found out I hope you realize that only thing running through my head right now is not regret, but love. I knew form the moment I wrapped you in bandages for you to heal after you went unconscious and laid you on my bed to rest that I would die thinking of you. I hope the supplies I left out for you were enough to last you for your journey back into your world. Sorry I couldn’t do more, but that was my last parting gift to you, I wish I could have given you more. I wish I could have given you so much more, and I wish you could have given me your heart, but some things just won’t happen. And they…
Kon’s thoughts were cut off as his body panicked. The absence of air made pain start to take over his lungs. His thoughts were cut out and his body’s instincts kicked in. his arms swung trying to pull him up the thirty feet to the surface so he could catch his breath. Some where in his mind it registered that he wasn’t going to make it to the surface in time, but that didn’t stop the body from trying? The long wings which would normally be useless underwater due to their weight started to move together pushing his body faster and faster to the surface. His panicking body started to take in water to his lungs which started to kill him. But his body kept pushing. Just as he was about to clear the surface a thought came to him.
I’m not going to die? No, my body doesn’t except it. (And then the realization hit him as a smile made its way to his lips) I’m not ready to die, I’m not ready to give up on my love for her, and I’m not ready to give her up that easy.
His body broke the surface with the last flap of his wings sending him up and out of the water. No energy left his body didn’t hold long in the air, but flopped down on the grown in his flowers. While coughing up a storm his laughter ran out and tears of joy rolled from his cheek. He stopped rolling, laughing, and coughing and looked over at his house through his window to where Kisa rested.
Her curse might kill him, but it can’t stop him from loving her, and as long as he could love her the curse could harm him. It might be able to physically but not inwardly. Only Kisa could do that.
Getting up Kon went to work on a gift he would give to her. She might not love him or might try to run from him because she didn’t want to hurt him, but no matter he would show her he loved her and give her everything he truly could. No longer would he hide his feelings so she couldn’t hurt him, he would show her how much he cared. He was going to live for his moments with her, they were the worth anything and what had kept him from dying. He knew any day her curse could try to kill him, but until then he was going to live to the fullest, no ropes holding him back except Kisa herself. Tired from his near death he was slow about getting his gift ready, but he didn’t stop.
With a cold, cough, and a beating heart he entered his home. His gift finished he set the piece of art on the counter in a vase and started on something to eat. Kon didn’t think Kisa would have woken yet, the wound she suffered from and the vial of liquid seemed to be strong enough to hold her over night at lest. Or so he thought, he wouldn’t know until he saw her when she woke or when she come from where she was to eat. The rising sun came in from the window above his head as he cut up vegetables and meats for a meal. He took in a deep breath, one of the many breaths in his lungs which earlier had almost been filled with water.
“Ahhhh a new day.” I do hope Kisa like that arrangement of flowers I have put together. They look nice in that vase.
The arrangement was that of different flowers, all different shades of red. The arrangement had over twenty different flowers. Each flower had been cut at a certain length so that when set in the vase the flowers would fan out in a heart shape. He would set it on a table in his room for Kisa to see later. On the table the back flowers, which where cut to have longer stems, would be higher than the flowers in front, all of which where cut with shorter stems as it got further and further toward the front. As the flowers would slant down the heart shape would show to her. I had taken Kon awhile to think of the design and put it together, but he was happy with it and how it would turn out. He hoped Kisa would like it too. Seeing as it was just dawn now, he wouldn’t think she was awake now though even if she had risen from her wound. When she showed her face he would give her the flowers and some breakfast.
o.o.c.- sorry it took so long to get out... I wanted to completely figure out what it was I wanted to happen with him...

"Kisa....." a voice echoed.
She felt her eyelids twitch just a little, and a moan escaping her.
"Kisa...." the voice echoed. "Wake up....Kisa."
Her fingers twitched, then flexed into a fist. Her eyes felt too heavy to open. This voice though, she knew it, recognized it. Slowly her eyes opened, the amber orbs taking their time to focus. "Who's there?"
"Ah...my darling, Kisa." A man's hand cuffed the side of her face, running his thumb along her cheekbone.
A gasp. It echoed through the world of darkness she was in, and then he became visible. Kuze. "Kuze," she gasped, reaching up to touch him. Flesh, he was real, for right now, he was real. Tears immediately filled her eyes, "Oh Kuze...I'm..."
"No, it is okay, Kisa. I knew your monster would kill me eventually," Kuze told her gently. His silver hair glistened like the moonlight, his stone cold face graced with a smile, just for her.
"You knew?" She asked weakly, feeling him wipe away her tears.
He nodded his head, "Kisa, I knew since the first day I saw you. You would steal my heart, both emotionally and phsyically. I accepted that. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, even if you were the one who ended it. That's what love is, koi." His hand ran down her back and he slowly tipped her upward, so she rested against his chest. "You've angered the monster, haven't you?"
Kisa nodded, "I have. The monster wants a new host, and has it's sights on a hanyou dragon. Kuze it's not fair, what am I supposed to do?" Kisa looked up at him, a pout on her face, and eyes sincere with worry. "I"m afraid he might love me."
Kuze threw his head back and chuckled, "What is so wrong with love, Kisa? When two come together, the vow is, 'until death do us part'. Kisa, I lived by that vow. I may be dead, but I hold you still dear to my heart. You're the only woman I loved, but I know I will not be the only man you love."
Kisa pushed herself away from him, shock and surprise on her face. "How can you say that! Kuze you're the only one who's ever loved me, how could I give that away so easily?"
Kuze shook his head solomely, "Kisa, you are alive. Living beings are meant to find love until they too part from the world. I do not think any less of you, if you were to find another mate. I know that you're afraid, for more than one reason." He watched her look away and continue to sniffle and cry, "You too should live by 'Until Death Do Us Part'. You're afraid the curse will kill him, you're afraid he'll leave, you're afraid you'll be hurt. It's okay Kisa."
"How can it be okay...." Kisa covered her eyes and cried lightly. "I don't want to murder lovers, Kuze. I know I am selfish, but I wish for a life. I wished for a familiy, for friends, for my child."
"Child?" Kuze tilted his head slightly, looking at her with slight puzzlement.
"I carried our child Kuze, and the monster took him too," Kisa whimpered from her hands. He slowly moved her hands from her eyes and smiled, "What are you smiling at?"
Kuze kissed her forehead gently, "Even dressed in an ocean of tears, Kisa you are so beautiful. But do you know what I miss?" She shook her head. "I miss your smile, and your optimism. You were so set on beating this monster."
"But then you died...."
Kuze rubbed her head and laughed, "Kisa, he's the diamond."
Kisa felt her consciousness return to her body like a heavy weight, enough to make her grunt lightly. She looked around, and realized she was back inside Kon's home. What did Kuze mean? Kisa's head hurt too much to think about that. She sat up slowly in the bed, holding her forehead to her hand. "What...was all that?" Kisa looked down at her hand and saw the crescent was gone. "So that really did all happen..."
Slowly Kisa eased herself out of the bed. Her body didn't cooperate, not having it's balance back, she nearly stumbled over. Her hand on the wall was her only support. It was morning, she noted. Kisa slumped down onto the floor gently, her breathing a little shaky. Her nose twitched, she started to pick up on the scents of the home. There was food, flowers of course, and him. A faint smell of the rain from yesterday and stream water lingered around too.
"My head..." she rubbed it slowly. Kisa released blood still lingered on her back, and it made her slightly nauceous. She'd knocked on death's door twice yesterday. It was insane, three times with the curse, the vial. Kisa knew how lucky she was to be alive. Then she noticed it under the bed, sparkling lightly. Reaching under the bed her fingers clasped around it, the rock with the gems in it, Kuze's gift.
Kisa smiled gently and tucked it away, promising to keep a better eye on it. Back on her feet she took small steps, leaving the safety of the bedroom. Her boots clunked lightly against the floor as she stood in the hallway, observing his home. Kisa wanted to look around for Kon, but didn't know what she was supposed to do. He had said, he wouldn't be here when she left. Realizing that she walked right through the front door, and sat down on the stoop.
She owed him. This man had tried to give his life for her, despite the arguement and pain she had caused him. That was a true man, one of valor and chivalry. Kisa cursed her heartlessness. It was her facade, but she had now come to realize how pointless it was. The sun was just starting to rise, when she stood back up. Kisa leapt between the flowers, trying to harm as little of them as possible, until she was at the river. She jumped right in, without much concern for her weak body. When she came up for air she watched the thin line of her blood wash away. It made her shiver a little.
Dripping wet she made her way back to his home. Kisa didn't know where to go from here. Maybe the least Kon could do would be to tell her which way wouldn't lead her into Fire territory. Those beings were known to pick fights, and she hadn't recooperated enough. Already she felt tired, she leaned up against the doorframe and closed her eyes. I'm so tired....
"Hey....Kon?" she called out weakly, waiting to see if there was a response. Kisa didn't know what she'd say first, but she knew she'd have to at least, try.

After setting the food he had prepared for Kisa, Kon had gone outside to lie in the grass that surrounded the flowers. Sitting there he looked up at the sky viewing the clouds as they passed by. The cold crisp air collected in his lungs. Normally on a day like this Kon would be out tending to the ill flowers around his home, but today is different. Today his head was clouded with thoughts of a woman. This woman he thought of seemed to be everything his world consisted of. He couldn’t help losing himself in thoughts of the woman. The woman that made every breath he took in his body worth having. The woman he would go to the end of the world and back for. The woman who had stolen his heart without remotely trying. Taking another deep breath he could sense her nearby.
Seems she is awake and recovering.
"Hey....Kon?"
Ah she is need of something.
Without effort Kon lifted his body and started for her. Looking at her his heart swelled. He couldn’t stop loving her if he tried. Even though he knew things would be hard to work out, if they ever would, he seemed more at peace with himself now that he admitted openly his feelings for her. What ever would come of any relation they had Kon would be extremely grateful. As he neared Kon he leisurely rested his hip on a wall.
“Yes? What is it Kisa?”

When Kon appeared Kisa prepared mentally for what she would say. To be honest, no matter what had to be said would still be awkward and cause a great deal of conflict. Her eyes opened slowly, and she stood, leaving the doorframe she had been leaning on. The first thing she did was bow so that she made a ninty degree angle with her body.
"I am sorry for the trouble I have caused you, Kon. Despite what you may say, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that my curse has chosen you as it's next victim." Kisa opened her eyes and stared at the ground, "I really am sorry. That means that, once my curse returns at the end of this week, it's going to do everything in its power to get you."
Kisa straightened and looked up at him. Her eyes were tired, but slightly sad. That means that...if we had...fallen in love...I would not be able to stay with you. If we had mated, my curse would gain what was required to take your body. I will not have another great man die because of me, especially now, that I am conscious of my consequences. Kisa knew now, she would never be able to give her heart what she wanted. She would never be able to give into her desires, never, especially with Kon. She looked down at her hand, now clean and untainted by that scar.
Kisa looked out at the fields of flowers, who now seemed so sad for her. She would rather stay here, yes, much rather stay here, in the company of someone not completely terrified or revolted. Her hands clenched into fists as she turned her eyes back to the dragon hanyou. "I guess I need to know which way won't lead me into fire territory. I'm not well enough to fight anyone with a great skill. I'll be out of your way as soon as I can."
She dug into her pocket and held something out to him, the rock with the diamonds laced in it. "This is for you. I don't care what you do with it, or even if you think it's worthless, but it's for you. Someone very close to me gave me this treasure when we departed, and now I'm giving it to you the same way."

Trying to hold her eyes in his she seemed to dart her attention else where while she spoke. It kind of bugged him, all he wanted to do at that moment was look into her eyes, see into to her soul, for all of time. Not to get Kon wrong, he truly thought outwardly she was a beautiful creature, but on the inside, in her soul, he couldn’t describe the beginnings of the beauty. Just looking at her and seeing only the tips of her soul caught his breath in his lungs. When he got the chance to look deep into her eyes he was able to steal a glance at the precious thing that made his heart stop a beat every time he thought of it. Her outward beauty, her soul, Kisa, made his life full and worth living even if hell would rise around him. Even if she didn’t know it, he would endure any suffering to have even a second more with her.
Kon looked down at the object in his hands that she had given him. It was amazing to him and captured his mind. Wonder leap into his head about the story behind the treasure. As much as he wondered now about the rock another think happened into his mind. Her leaving. It would kill him to have her leave, but he knew now that no matter what he did he wouldn’t keep her here, he couldn’t do that to her. All he knew would he would have to savor the time he had with her.
Softly he whispered, “Every moment I share with you is a moment in heaven even in reality it is hell. When that heaven ends it will turn to hell for me, even if in reality I’m in heaven.” Slowly he raised his arm and touched the side of her face. Speaking at a normal volume now, “The land in that direction,” using his other arm to point in the direction behind him, “is the fire territory.”
He turned back to face her 100 %, all his emotions running through his body. His first reaction was to with hold his emotions and stay his distance so as not to get hurt, but then he went with it. He let his emotions ride on his sleeves. When he would normally shy back a distance, Kon walked up and stood next to Kisa. His height masking the sun that had been shining on her body, and his hand still resting on her cheek. He wanted to do so much. He wanted to Leave a soft kiss on her lips to hold her in his arms and not let go. Normally he wouldn’t have done any of these things, but this wasn’t a normal situation. Recently he had established that he wasn’t holding anything back, and that he would take every chance he got to be with her, yet never push her. So he did the unnatural. Dropping his arm from her cheek he let it wrap around her back to meet the other that had done the same and held her softly. Slowly he let his head fall down to her face, but decided not to kiss her, for he would only do that if she wanted it, instead he left a kiss on her forehead.
“I won’t make you stay here with me in my prison, but I don’t want you to leave until I know you will be safe. Then you may be free to leave my home.” Looking at her beauty eyes he was caught in silence for a moment. “And please don’t be sorry, for every moment, no matter how burden some, I have with you lifts my soul and makes me forget any pain I might suffer. A moment in the dark with you would still, in my mind, heart, and soul, would be a moment in the purest of light.” Smiling, “don’t regret a moment with me, for I’ll cherish all mine with you.”
Not removing his arms he let them stay there lightly, if she wanted she could easily push them off. As for his face it was just above hers staying close to her, but would quickly leave at her request.

Kisa's eyes followed his hand, to remember where the fire territory would be. Her body still ached, throbbing with pain, even if there were no wounds on her flesh. The truth was, the inside of her body was roughed up quite a bit too, and the mental tolls were exhausting. His hand was hot and cool against her cheek at the same time, like a comfort, that she secretly hoped would stay there. His words touched her though, in ways she didn't think they would.
Every moment I share with you is a moment in heaven even in reality it is hell. When that heaven ends it will turn to hell for me, even if in reality I’m in heaven.”
Kisa thought of Kuze briefly, that message he had left her with. She needed to trust others, trust in their emotions and desires to be around her. Even if she was concerned, rightfully concerned, if they chose this, maybe for once she should comply. Just because one is alone doesn't mean they have to be lonely. When he wrapped his arms around her, she felt her heart race. Part of her said he needed to stay away, not love her, no, that was dangerous. Another part said she would be free for this week and this week alone. Still another asked if it was fair to let this man love her and then leave so abruptly, still denying she did not want him to let go. Then he kissed her forehead, and she felt something that felt so foreign. Kisa felt herself blush, the giddy blush that used to arrive when Kuze dressed her in sweet caresses. Ashamed, slightly embarrassed, she couldn't control this blush.
Kisa's hands were at her sides, and slowly her left hand rose. It was as if she was staring at it, reminding herself again and again the curse would not be here for a month. That she could, in fact, touch him, without worry. Her hand was trembling lightly, that never ending fear of being close to someone for their sake. Her fingers first just skimmed the surface of his chest, testing his solid shape, and then she rested her hand on his heart. His beat was strong and steady, lifeline, a pulse. A sigh escaped her. "I don't regret you, not you at all. I cannot help but feel as though I'm going to bring you harm. I am the heaven and the hell put into one being."
Her eyes found his, and she bit her lip, feeling weak. Kisa's fingers clenched against his chest just slightly as she tried to keep herself calm. "If you'll let me stay, I'll stay. I won't lie, I'm not much of a fighter right now; there are bruises under the skin, the curse took care of most of it. There is also, a heavy feeling, in my chest. With what's happened, and, what I've seen recently...I'm not well. I will admit, I'm terrified, she nearly....I nearly..."
Her head shook, tears brimming along her closed eyes. Yes, she had almost died, and at the same time, Kon had almost died. He would've switched places for her, that fool. Her forehead found comfort against his strong chest as she tried to surpress her tears. These tears, they were the result of the past few days, but also years nad years of suffering. Since Kuze's death, she had been so very lonely, and most unaware of it. The thought of leaving his company frightened her, but she also knew it was for the best.
Rising up on her tip toes her arms wrapped around his neck and she kissed his cheek before looking up into his eyes. "You have been far too kind to me Kon. I wish I could stay here, but once my week is over, I'm going to have to leave. After you've shown me such a noble heart, I couldn't think of putting it in danger."
She buried her head against the crook of his neck. Her voice was soft and very sad, "Please....I can stay here...can my last few days of freedom be happy? Can I feel at ease...before I have to be all alone again? Please, Kon? Please...." Even if he could tell how much she had been prior, for her to ask of this, it showed how much she hated her life before him. Since Kuze's death, she had been so alone, and that death was centuries ago. This curse was more than just a monster in a host, it was a monster that forced loneliness. Kisa wanted to stay here, until her days were up.

"I don't regret you, not you at all. I cannot help but feel as though I'm going to bring you harm. I am the heaven and the hell put into one being."
She might have been his hell and heaven, but that made her imperfect, and there was no one perfect. It was alright if it was like that, because he knew what heaven was like, his prison was perfect in many eyes, but it was hell to him. There was nothing new or made him look forward to the next day. Even if she gave him problems he wouldn’t care, because she was the love of his life and made his life interesting. She made his heaven, his prison, seem more life like.
You don’t need to be a fighter here with me. I’ll protect you. I won’t let anything harm you. Nothing shall come close to you with out me letting it, and I won’t let it. I’ll sooth those fears. I can’t stop them, but I’ll sooth them the best I can.
As Kisa wrapped her arms around Kon and softly placed a kiss on his cheek Kon heart nearly stopped. She was returning his affection. Nothing could possibly equal that experience. All he wanted to do then was hold her forever and ever never letting go, but she went on to speak. He listened intently his eyes looking back and forth from her eyes and lips.
"You have been far too kind to me Kon. I wish I could stay here, but once my week is over, I'm going to have to leave. After you've shown me such a noble heart, I couldn't think of putting it in danger." She buried her head against the crook of his neck. Her voice was soft and very sad, "Please....I can stay here...can my last few days of freedom be happy? Can I feel at ease...before I have to be all alone again? Please, Kon? Please...."
Kon couldn’t believe she let her wall down, even if it is for a week, but now that she did he wouldn’t let her put it back up until it was time to say good bye. This week would be the best he could give her. They would both forget about her curse until they needed to be reminded of it. They would be together for the next few days care free about the thing that would separate them. He would show her how the reeds around the pound sung, how the flowers swayed to the rhythm of their breathing, how the sun painted the amazing hues of his love for her… he would show her so many things and she would be care free for that week; it’s be his gift to her.
“Yes Kisa, they can be happy, and they will.” Kon tightened his arms, not enough to hurt her but to make her feel like he was holding her away from all her troubles, protecting her from the world. “For this week there is nothing such as the curse, it is just you and me here in my home. There is no one out there to harm you for this week, no one to ruin your peace, no one to stop me from showing you the life you deserve.” He let his one hand drop from her back to lift her chin so he could look her straight in the eyes he spoke again, “This week there is only you and me and us.” Slowly he let his head fall the space separating them to come softly onto her lips. At first it was a soft light kiss, but it was deepened and his arms held her tight and close to him. Stopped for a moment to lift his head ever so slightly he spoke softly, “This week I’ll show you my love for you, my unconditional and forever love for you.” His lips covered hers once again.

His grip made her heart beat faster, happiness, which seemed so foreign, swept through her slowly. It was a warmth she thought she'd forgotten. Even if he crushed her bones in such a strong embrace, she wanted to be in it forever. Kisa was scared, there was no denying it; scared of the curse, scared of the harm she'd bring him, and most of all, just scared to love again. But, if she would have to take a try with any man, to learn to love again, it'd be him, her Kon, the man she had named.
For this week there is nothing such as the curse, it is just you and me here in my home. There is no one out there to harm you for this week, no one to ruin your peace, no one to stop me from showing you the life you deserve
Yes, no curse, no monster, no guilt, no pain. Just she and him, and the life she had always hoped for. A normal life, where love filled the shadows in the room, where silence was a blessing, and where tears were caused from euphoria, not angst. His lips were so gentle against hers, his touch forcing a shiver to run through her just slightly. Her tail wrapped around his waist in an attempt to bring them closer, her small frame molding against his superior one.
This week I’ll show you my love for you, my unconditional and forever love for you.”
She smiled against his lips, purring gently. The purr surprised her, nearly made her laugh, because she hadn't felt that vibration in a long time. Yes, it was like learning how to love, and learning about herself, all over again. Her fingers played with his hair in the back while she nibbled at his bottom lip playfully. Kisa was happy, it was as simple as that. Kisa pulled away briefly and gazed up at him, a soft expression her face. "Forever is a long time, you know. I guess that means I better find a cure, so forever will really mean it."
Kon gave her, motivation, a reason to keep on searching for a cure despite centuries of failure. After yesterday, it had seemed like she had met her defeat, but no, for him, she'd try anything. Kisa pecked him sweetly, filling him with her small, but growing affections for him, and her new found confidence. "But if it's going to be forever, I'd like to know even more about you," she whispered, stroking the side of his face with her right hand. Her amber eyes were sparkling.
Her nose twitched suddenly, catching the smell of flowers and food once again. Kisa had felt that smell yesterday too, but still, she had never figured out what it was. Turning her body just slightly, still staying in his warm embrace, her eyes scanned the room for whatever it was smelt so nice. "I know you have your flowers outside.....but...why do I smell flowers inside?" Tilting her head she looked back up at him, waiting for answer.

Kon had been surprised by the sudden feeling of her tail around his waist, but as soon as the surprise was gone he enjoyed the feeling. She wanted him close to her and that was enough to send him over the edge of happiness. When she started to purr he couldn’t help but raise a brow as the noise. But it wasn’t the only thing, the sound slightly aroused Kon, but not enough to be noticeable.
"Forever is a long time, you know. I guess that means I better find a cure, so forever will really mean it. But if it's going to be forever, I'd like to know even more about you,"
The way she spoke made him see something, weather it be new hope for a cure or being with her, it was new a feeling he would hold onto too. What ever be the means of getting the cure he would find it, but it would be after this week. This week was special to him and he wouldn’t let anything interrupt it. He couldn’t imagine what the week would bring but he would savor every moment of this short time. It might seem for ever to him at the moment, but it wouldn’t last… that was until he found the cure he would find. Not might find, he would find the cure.
"I know you have your flowers outside.....but...why do I smell flowers inside?"
When she had turned in his arms and looked away from him and into his home he whimpered lightly, not enough for her to hear him. When the mention of his gift he smiled, a smile that Kisa had never seen. This smile was something new. It had no stress, grief, just happiness and love. He would have thought she would have seen it, but she hadn’t. This gave him the chance to give it to her. While she looked at his gift he would bring her the food. Oh how he was enjoying the time already.
“I don’t know… lets go take a look.”
The gleam in his eye was innocent, but had a spark of something out of the ordinary. Something that showed he was about to do something, but she wouldn’t know until he did it. When he did he took her off her feet… literally. His arms swiftly let go of her and wrapped under her to pick her up bridal style. He lifted her carefully so as not to pull at her wounds. Letting her get over the shock he looked down at her with a playful, no longer innocent, spark in his eyes. Placing one more kiss on her lips he started off to where he had left the flowers and food. His deep chuckling was still ringing as he walked thought the house.
Just now as he made his way through he noticed he had tossed off her question about him. “To know more about him.” He wasn’t sure if he wanted to tell her all about him so he wouldn’t sadden her about his past, and him being abandoned by family and always being alone. That he had to live in his prison that all thought where heaven. He wasn’t sure if she would still want to know if he told her. The sudden thoughts made his chuckling stop and his eyes seem cold at the memories, but instantly he shook it off and looked down at the love of his life in his arms. A deep smile erupted from his lips again.
“About your question about me… I have to say it is a sad story and I’ll only tell you if you promise not to be sad for me, because it is now full of joy, and not to let it affect the mood here. It is only happiness for this week. Ok?”
Just at that moment he had walked into the kitchen and the flowers were in plain view for Kisa. Softly he set her down to look at the flowers as he went to collect the food for her.

“I don’t know… lets go take a look.”
She almost like out a tiny mew as she was swept off her feet, her hands found a comfortable position still around his neck. His eyes looked mischieveous, hers intrigued and playful. Kisa wasn't sure what he had in mind, she was almost afraid he was going to put her back into quaranteen to rest up or something. A reassuring kiss on the lips made her think otherwise, and she smiled happily. Kisa played with his hair like a cat with yarn, purring just a little. His laughter made her smile, as much as Kisa had gone threw so much pain, Kon wasn't one to laugh that much either. It made her happy, she found her face nuzzling his upper chest.
“About your question about me… I have to say it is a sad story and I’ll only tell you if you promise not to be sad for me, because it is now full of joy, and not to let it affect the mood here. It is only happiness for this week. Ok?”
Kisa pouted, batting her eyelashes and looking quite adorable. "If stories were always happy we'd be rather bored. Why can't I feel sorry for you, just an itsy bitsy little bit? I promise I won't mention it or anything, but I'm still gonna feel sorry." Kisa paused for a minute, knowing that Kon would only argue back because he didn't want anything to ruin the precious and limited time they had together. She sighed, more like a sigh in defeat, "Fine. But I'll tell you a story too, later." She pecked his cheek and nibbled on his ear playfully, "I don't think anything can ruin this week, not one thing."
She noticed Kon's feet had stopped moving. Pulling away from him she turned her head, spotting a huge vase filled with flowers. As the flowers would slant down the heart shape would show to her
A hand came to her mouth to cover up the small gasp that escaped her lips. It was so beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The smell was pleasant; a sort of calming but sweet smell that made her nose twitch just slightly. The shades of red were so perfect. She looked up at Kon, but found he had already wandered off to look at something else. Her finger stroked one of the petals, velvatey texture, and she smiled. Kisa took in a deep breath, leaning over the flowers, and sighed happily. "Kon, they're so beautiful. "

He knew, probably better than any, that a perfect story was boring. His life stuck here in this home of his was perfect and it drove him crazy now. His story would make her feel sorry for him, but he couldn’t change that, but he could try to put it from her mind and not let it ruin their time together. When she spoke of her story, he couldn’t help but be curious. He didn’t want her to drag the memories up if it would bring pain, but he also wanted to know as much about her as possible. She was like a drug, something that had addicted him and he couldn’t get enough. Where it wasn’t a drug was how she was good for him. Since she had come into his life he wasn’t lonely any more, he found something to look for every day, and he had a dream. Since he had been abandoned by his family dreams seemed like something that never existed. Now he had many and he would see them all come true. He dreamed of a day when the curse that had Kisa would not be there to bother them. He dreamed of a day when he Kisa would be happy and have many a family, a day when she was surround by people who loved and cared for her, a day when she lived the life she deserved.
"Kon, they're so beautiful.”
Kon turned around to face her with her food just as she had spoken. That she found the gift beautiful made him immensely happy. As he set the food before her Kon smiled a grin that he knew would be the smile that only she would earn and no one else. It was different from a normal smile. It had the loving touch and… something… it was something that had only been found lately in him… something she provoked in him. He didn’t know what it was but it felt complete like it the feeling completed his soul. What ever it was Kisa had caused it and he would forever have it now. He couldn’t help but see Kisa as an angle given to him. Yes, an angle with broken wings that needed to be healed, but an angle none the less. Once she was ridden of the curse she would be able to soar and have happiness.
“So you like them? I figured you might.” His smile never leaving his face, “Now if you ever want to get better you need to eat up. The herbs in this delicious food will take some of the pain away and start to heal you from the inside out.” Wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder taking in her beauty and sweet smell, “I promise it is not like the yucky medicine those healers give you.” Softly placing a kiss on her cheek he spoke the rest of his words, “You’re too sweet to give yucky medicine too.”
His simple humor was light and meant only for giggles. Even though it was light it was unusual for him. Making humor was an abnormality. He was used to not joking around for he was the only one to joke around with. Being alone he didn’t take to humoring himself for the fear of it driving him mad. Now that Kisa was here, though for a short time, he had the chance to experience these rare actions.
Kon stretched out his one arm and grabbed tow stools, one for him, one for her. Placing the stool behind her and his next to him he turned his attention to Picking her up and placing her on the stool. After that he picked her and the stool up and brought her close to the table so she could reach her food. Next he brought his stool close and sat next to her.
Softly he spoke, “Once you have eaten and are settled I will take you over to the living area where the seating is more comfortable and more peaceful of a talking space. If you wish I’ll light a fire to take away the morning chill. After, if you still wish to hear my story I will tell you.”
It sadden him to think about his past, but only for a moment for when he looked up and saw her bright happiness ran though him. How could he be sad with her near? How could he be sad when he got the chance to be with her? The answer; he couldn’t. Unable to resist he kissed her forehead before he let her begin to eat.

Kisa couldn't help but feel like Kon was treating her like a child, just a little, with words like yucky medicine. He also did everything for her, she was flustered, no one had cooked a meal for her since her time with Kuze. His words, no matter how childish, still brought a smile to her face. Kisa rubbed the back of her head, keeping her eyes away from him because she was so taken aback by all of this. It was a new sensation for her, something she'd probably have to get used to. Kisa was used to taking care of herself, trusting no one, and not needed anything from anyone. Now here she was, beside Kon, who had cooked for her and put her in this stool like she was a doll.
"You know, I might have danced with death but I'm not completely helpless," she told him, shoving at his arm playfully. "I can hop onto my own stool and push it in, I'm not that wounded."
He lavished her with kisses, all the more reason Kisa had to believe that her blush would remain permanent. Sitting on the stool beside him, her tail swished side to side and she couldn't help the small purring she wished would cut it out. That was one thing that was a downer about being part cat, when you were happy, there was no real way to stop it without making yourself sad. When he asked if later she'd still want to listen to his story she squeezed his thigh gently and nodded. "I want to know everything about you, the good and the bad."
Kisa took a small nibble of her food and chewed slowly. Once again, just slightly amazed, Kon's cooking was amazing. She wondered if, because he had lived alone, that he'd learned this in his spare time. Regardless, she found the food wonderful. It was nice to have something warm inside of her, to fuel the cold joints and ease the pains. Kisa tilted her head to her side and cracked it, something about food made everything easier to move.
"You do know I'm not going to let you cook for me this entire week, I do not want to be spoiled. I'll do something nice for you too," Kisa told him carefully as she paused between bites. She thought for a moment of what her talents were and she laughed, "Basically all I know how to do is fight, cook, fish, and find the best places to sunbath." Kisa laughed, that was a foreign sound, but she laughed. Her bobcat inside of her loved to lounge in the sun. Come to think of it, she hadn't been in that form in a very long time. When she wandered the country or forests she was her bobcat self, but when she was in towns she remained in her humanoid form. Thinking about this she continued eating.
With his stool right next to hers, she couldn't help but nudge his foot with hers. It was something she and her brother used to do. Her eyes unfocused for a minute, her brother, she hadn't thought about him in such a long time. His death had been such a horrible thing. Kisa stopped and shook her head. Hisunoizu, her brother, Hisu for short. She took another bite of her food, thinking, trying not to reminisce too much because it might upset Kon.
"Mmm sorry, just got lost thinking about something." Kisa turned her head to gaze up at him, smiling softly. It was a sort of bittersweet smile; she didn't want Kon to be upset, and she was happy to be here, at the same time the thought of her brother's mangled form compared to the sweet smile her memories provided was heartbreaking. "This," gesturing to the food, "Is very very good. A fire, that sounds nice too. I might have to curl up on the floor beside it though, instincts."

"You know, I might have danced with death but I'm not completely helpless," she told him, shoving at his arm playfully. "I can hop onto my own stool and push it in, I'm not that wounded."
Yes, Kon had known that she’d be able to get up on the stool by herself but that defeated the purpose of her being his arms for a sec. It gave him a time where he was touching her, and he much enjoyed every second he was in contact with her. He didn’t care for looking like her was too much because this was part of the little time he had with her. Twisting his head a little so as to not be looking straight into her eyes he thought to himself.
I know that I might smother her, even though I don’t mean to, but I can’t help it. There is always this little thought in my head that it will only last so long. She’ll only be her for so long of a time before she leaves me and goes off. Even though she will continue looking for a cure, with or with out I don’t know, and that she might be able to return to me, I still can help knowing that I’ll be with out her for a time and there will be nothing as close to as perfect as this for me and her and I don’t wan to lose a moment with her.
His thoughts trailed off a bit to be saddened a bit even thought it didn’t show at all on the outside surface. The curse was quite trouble some. Even though he loved her and that he wouldn’t care if the curse ended up taking his life it still got in the way. It stopped Kisa form being more open after this week with him, and would most likely push her away from him once the week was over.
"I want to know everything about you, the good and the bad."
You wish to know everything, and promise not to pity me too much, but that won’t change the mood I might end in.
He knew that no matter how much she had filled up the ripped out space from his parents he would never be able to forget the sadness, the pain, and the depression. The sadness was a normal annoyance that would be there everyday on the edge of his mind. The pain, something that would be replaced with understanding; understanding that would make his dislike his family more and more. The depression though would only affect him when he thought about what his parents did to him. When he thought about it, which would happen when he re told his story, would make the flashbacks occur and possibly shake Kon from being in control. He prayed if anything, that that wouldn’t happen. He didn’t want to lose a moment with her to Warrick or Poe. Shaking his head he lost the thought annoying him, and looked back to her eyes waiting for her to return her gaze to his.
"You do know I'm not going to let you cook for me this entire week, I do not want to be spoiled. I'll do something nice for you too. Basically all I know how to do is fight, cook, fish, and find the best places to sunbath. Mmm sorry, just got lost thinking about something. This is very, very good. A fire, that sounds nice too. I might have to curl up on the floor beside it though, instincts."
Some how he couldn’t help but grin at the idea of her curled up on the floor in front of the fire. He hadn’t been able to see her as the type to do such a thing; then again he wasn’t really sure what her “sort of thing” was. Thinking about it he wanted to learn more about her too. He knew just the basics about Kisa. He wanted to know so much more. He wanted to know every inch of her, her mind, and her emotions. He decided that thought this weekend he would find out as much as possible.
“That is fine. I shall enjoy seeing you in such a state.” Pausing for a moment, then letting thoughts about an idea he intended to do later as she lay there drop, he spoke again. “I’m off to get wood from behind the house and start the fire. When you are done I should have the fire ready and you can ‘curl up on the floor’.”
Softly placing a kiss on her forehead, he walked out of the room to get the fire and the means to put his idea to work.
