Kisa played with her fork, moving the food around on her dish once Kon had left through the back door. Her ears twitched at the sound of the door clicking shut. Her eyes saddened just a little. Was that what it felt like for Kuze, listening to the sound of the door each time she went out, and he stay at home, waiting patiently? Kisa wondered if she would have ever made a good wife, or mother.
She chewed the meal slowly, wondering when the next time she'd ever be in a home as loving, or be in the company as darling as his. Picking up the dish and utensils gently, she wandered over to his make-shift sink. Letting them soak in water, eyes turned to the window. The sunshine was streaking through, giving the home a quaint feeling. A heavy sigh escaped her lips. Kisa was tired. Not realizing her feet had moved, she was siting on the front stoop of his house. Kisa pulled the boots from her feet slowly, tossing the to the left of the stoop.
A light caught something in the fields of flowers. Squinting lightly, her face paled at what it was, her sword. Blood coated half the blade, the sound of her flesh breaking echoed in her mind. Kisa ran her hand over her stomach, feeling no wound. The curse saved her life. Kisa realized now, she had no vial left. Panic. What was she going to do the next time she was faced with the inner monster. Hissing slightly, another ragged sight ran through her.
"The sky....." The sky was still cloudy, but the clouds were white, not dark blue like when they contained water. Kisa's eyes shimmered lightly with the reflection of the sun's rays. Her hair was brushed back slightly by the wind, just enough to make the plants move.
Kisa stood up slowly, turning her back on the sword. Her padded feet clicked slightly, her claws hitting the floor with each light step she took. Easing herself onto the floor, she used the fireplace's frame as a place to rest. Tilting her head down, it rested upon her bent knee. The curse does not exist this week...the curse does not exist this week.... As Kisa repeated this statement in her mind, tears filled her eyes. Only when she was in Kon's company could she nearly forget, ever minute he was gone, it came back in a rush. Kisa could still here the demon's voice, she shivered slightly.
".....Kon..."

Outside and gathering fire wood Kon kind of drifted from reality. His mind drifted to longing ideas, ideas that he wished for, a home and family with Kisa. The ideas where so tempting. Images flashed through his head. Happiness beyond belief, people who he could call family that didn’t see him as a monster, people to spend the rest off his life with… so many more ideas passed through his head but he was out in space. Without realizing it he had gathered all the wood needed and had started back into the house. As he passed through his house and set some of the wood in the fire while the rest next to it for later to restock the fire. Seeing Kisa he didn’t come back from his drifting but he smiled at her and as he went off to collect the rest of the items he wished to have.
Grabbing a flint from his pack to start the fire, a char pencil, and a piece of oak paper he walked back to where Kisa had been. Ushering her into the living room he placed his paper and pencil down by a seat he always sat in, grabbed a hand woven blanket or deep red and black wool and the flint, and walked over to the front of the fire place. Absent mindedly he started to hum an old melody he remember from his fellow trainees that helped sooth the pain and ease the soul to rest. It was soft and cold, but sparked at the heart. His humming went on as he laid the blanket down in front of the fire place for Kisa to curl up on. As his hands then moved to light the fire with the flint his strokes at the rock hit the beat of the humming. As the fire lit Kon stood up his absent mind still out in the clouds for reasons unknown to him. Turning and seeing Kisa he smiled again, but continued to hum. Kon motioned to Kisa to lie down on the blanket. After smiling again at Kisa and winking at her he went on to sit in his chair. His humming stopped but his voice started to drift as he sang the tune to the melody.
Finally ending his song but still out in the clouds he spoke in normal tongue. “That melody is what my life was based on. It is what my life is.” His sweet ideas of Kisa and the future gone for the moment he went to go on about answering Kisa; for she wanted to know. This was how he was going to start.
O.O.C.- sorry for shortness... and my weird writting style for this one... I felt odd writting it so it came out weird to me...

Her ears twitched as he sang. His voice a low humble sort of sound, one that was comforting to her, and faintly reminded her of her father and Kuze combined. A sense of ease came to her. She did not know the words, but Kisa found them beautiful none-the-less. The fire's cackling was another familiar sound, but for a completely opposite reason; the fire, and the night she could only barely remember.
Kisa shifted slightly, leaving the edge of the fireplace, and laid down on the blanket Kon had so generously laid down for her. Shifting about, like a domestic cat does, she tried to find a comfortable position. Laying flat on her stomach her tail swished about her. She used her hands as her own pillow, resting her chin against the two crossed wrists. Bare-backed besides the strings that held her top together, she let the warmth of the fire be exposed to her skin/fur.
Kisa was calm, meloncholy, but happy at the same time. "What is the parchment and paper for?" Kisa asked him gently, the defensive walls she had lived with now slowly melting away. The fire made her drowsy, and the love Kon gave, it was all too comforting. She could get used to this, she really could. Kisa rolled over, laying on her side, using her hand as a support for her head as she smiled at him. The position all too tempting for him to study her stretched out frame. "Where's the song from, Kon?" she asked curiously.

"What is the parchment and paper for? Where's the song from, Kon?"
Kon’s eyes went dark for a moment in lost to the memories. Crack! The right light of lightening crossing the sky came into sight as the gloomy sky filled into Kon’s memory.
“Left foot, then right foot, left foot then right foot. Keep it straight people, for if you mess it up you mess up your life for your life is this march. If you mess up the march which is your life you will learn to never do it again through punishment. Now move it out. March! March!” The droning sounds of the officer dragon screaming at the recruits played over and over in his head. March! March! The march it was his life, it was his being, it was his soul. The march of life as they all liked to call it. Its name, literal, was the recruits’ life; all they did was March, do drills, and practice to perfect their skills. Never a moment of time to cry over lost memories, over lost loved ones, not a moment. All were committed to their duty now and nothing got them out. Most if not all wanted out, wanted to go home to their family, but they couldn’t. Their life was here and nothing save death could release them. Their job, though as repetitive as it is, was meaningful. All had a purpose… as long as they earned their chance. Most recruits were too lost in their wishes to be home with their loved ones to become all they could be. During their endless drills which were so embedded in their minds so they couldn’t mess up, they thought about home and everything they were missing. They all carried no desire to up ranks, only to go home. Not Warrick. No he only thought about gaining ranks to become some one, for he was no one. No one except a monster, and what better for a monster to do than killing.
The droning sound of the melody of life started at the officer dragon’s command.
The melody, spoken in a language other than the normal tongue of the world, was memorized and burned into the minds of all the recruits. One could never forget. Warrick didn’t want to forget, he lived by the words.
Coming back to reality Kon looked down at Kisa again. This time it was obvious the pain in the memories. “This,” holding up the paper and char pencil, “my dear, is to keep me busy while I tell my story so as not to lose myself in its telling.” His expression turning to stone as he settled in his spot better and started to draw Kisa’s form laid out on the floor. He knew she might move from the place on her side, but it was burned into his memory as he started. “The song is called the song of life. It is from my days in training. Those days, more like 20 some years, I was trained to become a ruthless killer. To put fear into all those that apposed me.” Pausing to let her digest his words for now she would most likely realize to the full extent of what he meant when he said that he could protect himself against the curse. There was no doubt that she would also grasp that he was more than the caring man she knew, but also a killer.
“In training everything was so grizzly that the recruits tried to get away and leave, so they drilled a melody into us, the melody of life. It translated is…
The cruel war is raging Airos has to fight I want to be with her From morning till night
I'm counting the minutes The hours and the days, Oh Goddess, stop the cruel war, For this, my heart prays.
I made my decision, I will join up too, Oh Airos, dear Airos, I'll soon be with you.
We men are fighters, We can help you win, Oh Airos, I'm hoping, That they'll take me in.”
Kon Paused from his words for a moment, unsure of what it was he was to say next. His hand moving as he started to draw the imprint of the woman he loved before him. In his pause he collected his thoughts.
o.o.c.- there is more... but I want to do this in short segments to give you chance to reply to what he says...

Paper met the pencil, shifting slightly, leaving behind the streeks of crushed mineral that would soon form a picture. She didn't move too much, staring off into space, digesting what he had told her. The assassin's badge, that was right! He had lost it a few days ago, back when they had first met. A pang of guilt hit her, realizing he had decided to take care of her instead of searching for that badge. Kisa closed her eyes briefly.
"I want to say that I'm upset, that you'd sign yourself up to be such a heartless beast. But I'm sure everyone has their reasons," she told him slowly, opening her amber eyes up again. "You are loyal to your god, completely opposite of me. The only keeper I have is...well my monster. I couldn't be loyal to anyone when I couldn't rightly stay near anyone. It's a sad song, to say the least....somehow, it just feels, sad."
Kisa wanted to pity him, just slightly, but kept to her word and said nothing of that sort. Only her eyes and ears would move, keeping herself still because she didn't exactly know what Kon was doing. Her ears only flickered when the lightning or thunder came about, or when he spoke to her. The fire was still keeping her warm.
"Twenty years is a long time. I guess it isn't when you're a demon, but still, twenty years in that sort of a place, it wouldn't be good for anyone. Being away from reality so long, I'm sure they lost touch with anyone on the outside. Maybe that was what they wanted, to focus so hard on something so the aches of yesterday wouldn't bother them. I think that was partially why I kept searching."
"It's instinct you know, to be a killer. It's all we know how to do, to survive. It's merely instinct. What is bestowed upon us, morals, righteousness, the concepts of good and evil, those are imprinted on us, taught and such. So I guess I'm shocked, but not truly shocked."
Kisa sighed and her tail danced around in the air. She closed her eyes, feeling fatigue, and continued to contemplate things. "Kon, I hate to be a damper, but later, I'm going to need your help making a replacement for the vial I used. I know, I know, it doesn't exist, but I can't help it. Not now, we can wait and do it a few days from now, but, it'll.....just put me at ease.....I'm sorry."

Kon didn’t seem even remotely moved by her words. His mind was out in space, reviewing and reliving his past. As Kisa had spoken his hands did go a bit slower with his drawing so he could grasp what she said with out messing up the portrait. When he voice faded his hand picked back up its speed. This was the pattern through out her speaking.
While his physical being was not being moved, his mental being was rapidly seeing things he regretted. The day he “turned” and was cast out of his family. The day he was taken from the human’s world and forced into learning how to control the things happening to his body, the day he gained rack to a point were the commander arranged his marriage to his daughter, the day he lost his to be bride to rouges, the day his punishment commenced and he was given his knew assignment, the day his life wasn’t meaningful any more.
“You let her die!” Crack, the whip slicing open Warrick’s back. “You… you’ll pay for this one you beast.” Crack, the hot blood running down his back to the ground under him. Warrick, hands tied to a wooden post so as to not escape, his back bore of material and soon flesh. Unflinching to the pain searing through him, Warrick was numb. The loss of a person who respected him and honored who he was and was soon to be his family and some one he didn’t love made him unsettled mentally. Even though he hadn’t witnessed her murder, hadn’t been responsible for her death, and couldn’t have prevented the murder he was still to blame. The place where he came to get away from reality, the place that was his save house from the pain turned to become a source, a source of agony and humiliation. It had been so quickly that one mess up had made him a monster, a best again. Tears of pain ran down his cheeks but no other sign gave them the satisfaction of letting them know that he was in pain. He never cried out in innocence or guilt. Crack! Rip! The whip falling to the ground in shreds. Huff, huff, huff…”you fucking beast…”huff “The whip ripped boss.” The man who had been releasing the attacks on Warrick was out of breath and the whip was ruined. A thin man who seemed untouched to the horrors of battle walked up and grabbed Warrick head forcing him to look him in the eyes. “You’ll pay for my daughters death… don’t forget that.” Thrusting Warrick face away from him made his knees give out and crumple to the ground due to no strength remaining to hold him up. Laying there his hands still tied the wooden post he didn’t bother trying to get up. Smirking at what soon be the words that would spark pain and regret in Warrick for the rest of his life. The thin man looked to the tired out soldier. “Take him to Mortz and grab the kid. He is never to the brat.” Warrick rose shaking. “No...” The man left and the soldier started to collect what was remaining of Warrick. No matter the protest that left his mouth and the way his body meagerly fought back he was shuffled off to Mort, the assassin trainer.
“Fine, I shall help you gather what ever is needed, but like you said not now.” The story that had just run through Kon caused his skin to go white, his eyes to gloss, and his aurora to seem lost to reality as if gone for ever from his body. “Please know I didn’t sign up to be a beast. To be a monster. I never wanted any of it; I never wanted the life of an assassin, the life of never being excepted, the life were my choices were decided for me…” Kon was gone and he wasn’t coming back for awhile. When Kisa had asked to know everything she hadn’t known that this would happen. That the pains of his life would make him lose all touch to reality and all that would come to pass would be pain, regret, and… anger.
“I never wished to lose them, I never meant for her to die, I never meant any of this. I never meant to keep living when I should of died.”

Something wasn't right. As sad as that story seemed, Kon had changed very drastically. SHe could sense it, and it made her very upset. So Kon hadn't asked to be in that academy for killers. Like her life, he knew suffering, deep suffering, but of different sorts. Kisa's face faltered, a frown coming to it.
“I never wished to lose them, I never meant for her to die, I never meant any of this. I never meant to keep living when I should of died.
Who died....she wondered in her head. It was hard to remember what she had learned from him, just because it was a lot to take at once. He should've died...it sounded like her....somehow. There was such a saddness in his voice it ripped her heart apart. Getting up from the floor she scurried over to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Kon didn't react. Where was the man who was smiling, who seemed to glow when he looked at her? Where was the man who made her want to continue living when her own life seemed like it knocked on death's soodr. Amber eyes trembled with fear and saddness. Look what she had done. Had she broken him by unlocking the door to his past? This had happened when they had first met, it had almost driven them apart.
"Kon.....Kon are you still in there?" she asked weakly, shaking his shoulder gently. She noted how his hand still moved to the drawing, but she wasn't even lying there anymore. Something had become mechanical in him, soul-less. "Kon....Warrick....Poe? Someone? Is anyone in there anymore?"
No reply.
"Come on, please. I'm sorry! I'm sorry that I made you open up the door to your past, now it's taken you again." Kisa grabbed the other shoulder and began to shake both of them with a pout on her face. "Please....say something, anything."

"Kon.....Kon are you still in there. Kon....Warrick....Poe? Someone? Is anyone in there anymore?"
“Come on dear, you’re going to miss it.” A warm looking woman, young to Warrick’s eyes called for him. It wasn’t even a year since he had met her. She was almost half his age, bright as hell but being forced to give up her chance of having a full life. Her father, over a year ago, had arranged to have Warrick marry her. Even though Warrick and Melody didn’t love each other there was nothing they could do. Her father was his commander and it was an honor to marry his daughter, and Melody had no choice due to her father choosing who she would marry. Warrick, in the early stages of meeting Melody, had felt bad for her being forced into marring such a man as him, but later he didn’t. Later he didn’t have any sympathy for her because of what she had done to him. What she had done made humility shame her, force Warrick to marry her earlier than he had intended, and give him a responsibility that he didn’t think he was ready for. That night when he had been drunk amongst his fellow soldiers she had come to his bed and made him sleep with her, even through his protest of being drunk he couldn’t prevent his male being from taking over at the sigh of her dropping her cloths. What ever her reason had been for doing such a thing was beyond Warrick, but what was caused by her doing was unbelievable. That night Melody and Warrick created a life.
“Come on dear or you’ll miss your daughter blessing ceremony.” Leaving his work aside he left by her side to make it to the church. On his way down he couldn’t help but see the looks and whispers he heard from the staff of her father’s house. “A child! A child and they are not even married yet.” True he hadn’t had the chance to marry Melody yet due to his life as a soldier and Melody’s wish to have the baby before the wedding, but it was to be done soon. No later than a month from the day they would be bound by marriage. Making it all the way to the church Warrick shared the moments of Blair’s blessing; which would be the last time he ever saw her.
"Come on, please. I'm sorry! I'm sorry that I made you open up the door to your past, now it's taken you again. Please....say something, anything."
As if struck by lightening his eyes shut at the last bit of Kisa’s words. “I’m sorry Blair... I’m sorry Melody… I’m so sorry.” A single tear ran down his cheek as he opened his eyes to look up and see Kisa. Panting from the memories Kon searched her face to see worry pang her features. The pencil dropping from his grasp and the paper hitting the floor Kon started to shake. Collecting himself he looked at Kisa hard for a moment before speaking. “I’m sorry… I just lost it… I’m so sorry Blair…” Not even catching his mistake he went on collecting himself. “I didn’t mean to scare you Blair… I...” this time Kon heard himself. His face went white. He had just called Kisa his daughter by mistake. His daughter was one thing he had wanted to keep locked inside. He never wanted Kisa to know how his daughter had been taken from him because he had messed up and that he would most likely never see her ever again. Trying to cover up his mistake Kon went on but fixing his words even though it was obvious his mistake. “Kisa, I never ment to get that lost in my memory… I…” he went on with his ramblings of apology.
o.o.c.- sorry it is short

Finally words. She gasped with joy and wrapped her arms around him, pressing his head against her chest as she held him dear. Kisa hadn't realized, how much his presence had become part of her life. She had denied it thus far, but seeing that blankness, that emptiness she had known for too well had terrified her. Kisa stroked the back of his head and cried, feeling tears run down her face as her poor Kon tried to make sense of his surroundings. Blair. Melody. More memories, more pain. Kisa wanted to know, who they were, people dear to his soul, but she did not press that matter. "Ssshhh," she cooed gently, sitting in his lap and holding him close. "Don't apologize, it's okay, it's okay."
Her lips pressed against the crown of his head and she continued to stroke him like a child. There were nights when Kuze had stayed up long hours with Kisa like this, when she had awoken from a nightmare or a horrid vision of the recent events. "The past is a horrid thing Kon, I'm so terribly sorry. I shouldn't...I shouldn't have asked, never will I again. I'm so sorry I did this to you, I'm sorry."
Kisa hated her past, but she was still open about it. Grasping the past, she used it as example, to explain her reasoning. The aching pain in her heart had not left her, despite being ruinited with his spirit, she felt as if she had broken him to pieces. Ripping down a door that was meant to be forgotten, a wound that hadn't healed, but merely been pushed away from his mentality.
Kon still trembled against her small frame, and she felt so helpless. THis feeling of helplessness, she despied it with every ounce of her being. Releasing him from his grasp she lowered her head to his level, pouting softly, stroking the side of his face. "Will you forgive me, love?"

"Will you forgive me, love?"
“That word… l…o…v…e…….”
The voices echo in my head. I can’t break free from my memories. I feel the blood rushing through in between my head; just waiting for the blood to start to come from my ears from all the pressure. Feeling my pulse and breathing shorten up; unable to hold the pace as I try to gather my sanity. The trembling of my fingers starting to lock my fingers so they make my arms start to retract and pull into my body. My toes curling at the shocking sensation running through my body. All I could do to save myself is crawl up and hold on for the ride. I had paid my dues and was already going up the hill, waiting for the great fall. There was no way of getting around it, the track didn’t go backwards. Grabbing on for dear life for anything I grabbed onto something… no some one. As my arms grappled her I couldn’t help but squeeze almost tight enough to crush her. My muscle bulged from the sudden strain. Just as I got to the top about to crash off course I felt something I’ve never felt before a pulse. No it wasn’t my own that was soaring out of control almost too high for even the demon in me to live through. It was another. Looking up to see the person I had my death grip on I see… nothing not a face, not a body… nothing… wait no… light, a light… and what’s this… a sensation… warmth?!
His mind raced as his dye off. When his body dyes off all motor systems he controlled would stop. They would be shut off, some times for a day others up to a month. As he sat there waiting for the pain that was going to lapse over him and making him lose everything he had worked so hard to build up against he looked at this being.
“What is it about you that is making you glow when everything goes dark?”
Not remembering who he was speaking to he spoke off the top of his mind. Not even grasping ideas, but words being spit out without a remote thought. All that was going on was… why?
“Why are you here? Why are you holding me? Why are you trying to save me from the inevitable fall? Why are you the source of light in my mind of depression and death? Why do you care that I’m in pain?”
All question that, even though he hadn’t remembered were once coming from the woman before him as he aided her when her memories lost their rains. He never really had an answer for her question either, but he couldn’t have found one at the time except the words “because I do”. All these questions… and a thought occurred.
“Is it because I feel this feeling… this feeling of warmth that makes it hard to look at you with out feeling the emotions of care in my blood… Is it because I love you?”
o.o.c.- sorry its short, but i just wanted to get that far... and not too far in head of myself...

Kon gripped her like a doll, her weak frame crying out on the inside. She bit her lip, and felt tears forming from the strain on her face. The body was still weak from the monster, and he was crushing it. But still, the bobcat she-demon did nothing. She remained unmoving, waiting patiently, for him to come back to her. The pressure would leave bruises, she assumed.
Realization dawned on her; she hadn't yet said the words he had said to her. Truthfully, she had returned the actions he had set upon her, but she had never said those words. A wave of guilt and then softness fell over her, so this was why he seemed so surprised. Kon looked so confused, and so lost in pain. Part of her wondered if he even recognized her anymore, or was he so lost in the past, she had become this Melody or Blair? She began stroking his cheek, her right hand running gently over the smooth contours of his face.
Kisa, couldn't describe it. The confusion on his face broke her heart just a little. Did he even remember who she was, and all they had been through recently? Her eyes closed lightly as she listened, ears twitching at the sound of his voice. Her breathing small and narrow, his grip hadn't eased yet. Wait patiently she thought to herself, It wasn't like you were that easy to manage or understand either. This is what you asked for when you unlocked the door to his past. Now you are thrown neck deep into it, and it is your duty to stay with him.
Kisa smiled lightly and leaned down so her lips were by his ear. "I glow, because I am with you, and believe in you, silly. I am here, because you are here. I'm holding me because you held me. I'm saving you because I want you, and need you. I care that you're in pain because I care for you." Her fingers ran through his hair gently, trying to be as gentle with him as possible, despite the pain in her body. "I want you to live, you deserve to live. You have suffered enough, Kon. I will save you as you have saved me."
“Is it because I feel this feeling… this feeling of warmth that makes it hard to look at you with out feeling the emotions of care in my blood… Is it because I love you?”
Kisa had to laugh lightly and blow on his ear gently. "I would hope that you love me, you did profess that to me earlier." She pulled her face away from his ear and met him face to face, her amber eyes on his lips. Her voice was barely above a whisper, soft and short of breath. "Also, I think it would be a little sad too, since I love you too." With that, she pressed her lips against his. It was nothing but a soft, simple, and loving kiss.

Kon couldn’t keep the memories and reality separate.
Kon let go at the sound of laughter. I was all he should of expected form Melody. She didn’t love him; she had used him to get what she wanted. She had on many accounts mockingly said she loved him. How she truly meant it then laughed in his face. She had used him and turned the feelings he thought he had around. He felt the soft touch of lips on his. This wasn’t like Melody; she never would have kissed him. She would give her self easy to him at night, but she’d never kiss him. She thought it was a sign of love and she had none for him.
Blinking, he saw not Melody, but Kisa. “Kisa!” he croaked out. Tears ran from his eyes at the recognition. For that whole time he still thought that he’d been lost to the military still, still facing his punishment, still regretting being himself. No, Kisa was real she hadn’t been something that was an illusion. She was real. Letting his hands trail up her sides, he realized how hard he had just been squeezing her. More tears dropped from his face. He couldn’t believe he hurt her. He wanted to scream his apologies, but he couldn’t. His voice wouldn’t work any more; his body was under too much stress as it was. Kon wrapped his arms around her, but softly this time. He felt like an idiot crying, but he couldn’t help it. He was in between losing it and passing out. He hoped he passed out before he lost it. He didn’t want Kisa to see what it was like when no one was home; when no one was living in his body.
When he is normally losing it he had this feeling of him being sand being blown off the side of a cliff. This time it didn’t feel like that. It felt more like he was hanging over the cliff with a chain holding him and it could break or hold him there and pull him self out. Feeling that for once in his life that he could pull himself out of his problems and have some sort of hand in his state he didn’t let it go. He wasn’t sure about how he could pull himself out but a feeling lead him on. He spilled it all, everything he had been holding on to.
“When I was ten I ran from home because my parents thought I was a monster, I was recruited for my half blood of a demon, gained levels in the military, and won the marriage of a woman I hated. One night when I was drunk, shit happened and the next thing I know she is pregnant. We got married and had the child. She and a group of men transporting her when I was away fighting for her father got jumped and she was murdered. I was blamed from her death and her father punished me by making under go the training of becoming an assassin and taking my daughter away from me. I have no idea if she is still alive or not. I haven’t the slightest clue. From everything going on in my crazy life Warrick and Poe split up in my mind. Only now when I’m in this home, this safe place where all is in peace in my mind and body am I able to be together as one. Only here can I be Kon. I’m trapped here for ever if I want to be me.”
Getting it all out, in bits and pieces with none of the details, he told her the basics of life and how it had made him who he was. It all out it seemed the pressure of everything building up just was gone. Blinking he could believe he said what he had. He looked over to Kisa to see what she would do or say.
o.o.c.- sorry it is short...

Tears. Salty warm liquid that was excreted from the eyes, those were tears. Sorrow taking a tangible form, pain reacing the surface, those were tears. His grip on her loosened, inwardly a sigh ran through her, the pain still throbbing within the damaged body. Her fingers grazed his skin, a dam for the water the streamed down his face. Realization flickered in his eyes, the border between reality and illusion finally separating and becoming defined. Her name never sounded so horrible when it echoed through his lips. It hurt her as deeply as it had hurt her to hear Kuze call her name in his final breaths. Kisa watched him break into pieces, the pain inside finally breaking apart the tougher exterior he had.
“When I was ten I ran from home because my parents thought I was a monster, I was recruited for my half blood of a demon, gained levels in the military, and won the marriage of a woman I hated. One night when I was drunk, shit happened and the next thing I know she is pregnant. We got married and had the child. Only now when I’m in this home, this safe place where all is in peace in my mind and body am I able to be together as one. Only here can I be Kon. I’m trapped here for ever if I want to be me.”
Kisa understood. The first day she had met Poe he had told her something; Poe had explained that he would not explain his past with those who would merely walk away from him. Guilt. Somewhere in her heart, she knew she'd leave eventually, to protect him from her curse. But still, at least now Kisa was no longer ignorant. So Kon was a father who had no idea where his daughter was. A man who had wed, loved no one, and lost. He had been exposed to so much pain, it made her feel, upset with herself, for all the time she had complained of her life.
"You are truly a broken man," she whispered gently, rubbing his cheeks, smearing the tears into a diluted clamy layer. Tiny fingers were lost in his long hair, her breathing steady and calm as she listened to this broken spirit cry to her. "There is no shame in letting a soul cry. I may sound hypocritical for saying that, but it's okay. Just cry."
Melody, was tha the wife? And Blair, was that the daughter? Perhaps. She had to wonder what it would be like, to have her own child ripped from her arms and taken. Kisa wouldn't know, she couldn't have children after all. Eyes tilted toward his chest, listening to him and stroking his hair gently.
Her forehead met his crown, and she wrapped her arms around him gently. "It'll be okay, Kon. Just take your time; cry, scream, hate, whatever you want. It must've been horrible, to carry that burden for so long. I'm sorry."

"There is no shame in letting a soul cry. I may sound hypocritical for saying that, but its okay. Just cry." "It'll be okay, Kon. Just take your time; cry, scream, hate, whatever you want. It must've been horrible, to carry that burden for so long. I'm sorry."
Kon didn’t get angry at what she said, but it made him hurt more inside. He wasn’t sure if she hadn’t caught on, but she had said it. She told him to just let it go and cry; he didn’t want to cry any more. He wanted a life full of laughter and smiles. Not a life that he can’t even leave his home; his imprisonment. He was so tired of being who he was, so tired of having the nightmares he did. It almost seemed some times that it wasn’t worth living to him. But it was the woman in front of him that made everything worth it. He loved her and she loved him. It was so foreign to him; something he had never experienced and always had wanted to. He wasn’t sure if he was strong enough to work through all the hardships he was facing already, but he knew he would try. He knew he would because Kisa gave him hope and happiness, even through the troubles, and he wasn’t about to lose those. They were too precious to give up.
“No, I don’t want to cry any more. I don’t want to regret my life any more.”
Putting Kisa at an arms length and looking deep in her eyes he now saw something knew in her eyes. He saw an ending. Not just any ending, but that happy one in the fairy tails. He wasn’t sure how to get to that ending, but he saw it. It could happen that they would hit a road block and never be able to reach it, but it was there. He wasn’t sure if it was just a figment of a dream in his mind, but he wanted to chase after it. There was something worth living for now and he wouldn’t give u p until he didn’t see any hope any more. The tears finally stopping as he looked into the love of his life’s eyes, he realized something.
“I’m living in the past, when I should be living in the present.”
A simple statement that people could pose the fact that if we didn’t have the past there was nothing to learn from, that the past defined who we are, and the past is something we can’t escape from. All true, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t stop making them what he relived every day. He could view something as simple as a walk a bad or good thing. He could view it as a walk of loneliness like he has been for years, or he could see it as a walk to remember the ones he had with Kisa. The past was something he couldn’t get ride of, but it was not something that would rule his life. He used to never go out to a certain part of his flower fields because he remembered they were Melodies favorite flowers, but now instead of missing out on the beautiful flowers he could think of how he had used them to make Kisa flower bouquet.
“I have my memories, but that doesn’t make me who I’ll be today or tomorrow. It makes me who I was. Back then I was a man of repentance and depression of memories. Now I am a man who has love finally and cherishes his every moment with you. I’m a man who will do what ever it take to have that happy ending with you, and won’t let my hurting memories stop me.”
Kon knew he had just within one day showed how loving he can be, and how scary he can get when depressed. He kind of didn’t want her to see that side of him, but he knew that if she didn’t she would one day and she wouldn’t be ready for it. Not that she had been ready for it this time, but he hadn’t crashed this time so it hadn’t been as bad as it could have been. He pulled her back into his embrace.
“I don’t think I could live with out you any more, and that’s why I’ll do what ever it takes to save you from that curse. Now you know why I can’t ever let you go, why you are the best thing to ever happen in my life.”

Kisa did, and still was, going through all the revelations Kon found himself lost in. It was very hard to live for the future and the now, when one had the burdens of a very horrid past. Both had lost their own sort of loves, Kon his daughter, and Kino her husband and sexless child. The emotions that rode through his eyes she knew she'd worn more than once, and probably to this day still wear. The two were both scarred, both were warriors from the past.
Her ears twitched aprehensively as she listened to Kon. He was slowly telling her that he wanted nothing more of the days of sorrow, and only to be supported with joy. The neko-demon wanted to be his support, but still felt a subtle pain in her heart, like a subtle knife. Despite that, she smiled gently and stroked the side of his face. His tears had finally stopped and she found a reason to finally speak.
"Tears never did suit a face like yours," she pecked his forehead and stroked the side of his face. Her nose was still filled with the faint scent of salty tears and heartache, but she tried to ignore it for the most part.
“I don’t think I could live with out you any more, and that’s why I’ll do what ever it takes to save you from that curse. Now you know why I can’t ever let you go, why you are the best thing to ever happen in my life.”
Words could not describe how touched she was by that statement. It was hard to even portray it in her face. Part of it was a fear, because she feared hurting him if she could not successfully find a cure. A part of it made her feel obligated to stay. Another just made her feel so warm and loved inside it was practically overwhelming.
She still sat atop him, straddling his waist, most of her remaining quite still. A lot of thought raced through her mind, a lot of it could not be helped nor explained. As much as Kisa had conquered her past, it was hard to conquer what lived inside of her, and taunted her to no end.
"I think, I should help you then," Kisa told him quietly, running her hand down his cheek to his neck. "I think, that if your daughter carries traits like yours, we should ask around the Wind region to see if she's still alive. You never know. If you don't want to, its fine. But if you're going to make promises to me, I should try and help you, neh?" Kisa smiled, "Even if I have to travel with Warrick or Poe, as long as I know it will help you in the end..."

But if you're going to make promises to me, I should try and help you, neh? Even if I have to travel with Warrick or Poe, as long as I know it will help you in the end..."
Kon couldn’t think straight any more. The day, as short of time that has passed in the day, had worn on him. His emotions were taxed out and he wasn’t sure it was wise to keep going without rest for him to heal a bit. Feeling like he had to give an answer though his mind wondered. What would Blair look like now? It’s been how many years since he’s seen her. Yes, he knew she retained some of his traits, but over time they could have developed out or grown in more. He knew he’d love to find her though. What kind of father would Kon be? Would she resent him for not being there? What kind of relation was still salvageable? The questions all clouded his head, and he trying to simply everything and think details later.
“Yes, I’d love to find Blair. Details are for later though. I can’t take thinking much any more. I’ve been taxed to my limit without losing myself.”
Kon cleared his mind from everything that wasn’t the here and immediate now. Kon closed his eyes took a deep breath and opened them again. As if all feeling came back with the opening of his eyes, he felt Kisa’s body on his straddling his waist. Everything that composed his male body couldn’t help but want to get aroused and have while everything in his mind said no. He wasn’t sure why his mind told him no but it was like a red flare in his mind that if he were to make some sort of move she wouldn’t allow it. May it be his conscious that told him no or some sort of honor in him he didn’t know? Either way his mind couldn’t stop his body from reacting and it would soon, he either had to go with his mind or body.
His conscious seemed to talk first, “Umm…. Kisa, darling… as much as I love you… I don’t think you want what you’re doing to me… and as much as I do like it I don’t think…” Kon couldn’t finish his words. He wasn’t sure what it was he was to say and the fact that his body was interfering with his thought. “I think it would be best…” closing his eyes to gain the mental strength to say no to his desires, “If I went to bed now… and see you in the morning…”

After telling her that he wished to return to his bed she nodded and smiled gently. Pecking his cheek, she rolled off his lap and onto a warm spot by the fire. "Go to bed and have sweet dreams," she told him gently, tail swishing from side to side as she paced along the carpet, trying to find the absolute best spot to relax in. When she found it she curled up in a ball and closed her eyes, "I'll be here when you wake up."
Kisa didn't have anything else to say to him, not in the cruel way of not having anything to say, but that, he just needed rest now. Kon had been through a lot that night, and being trapped in this home, he probably didn't get to have these moments where he opened up to others. Her hand hit the floor with a thud as she rolled over. It was a little warm, so she shimmied off the brown jacket she was wearing, leaving her in the white brassiere and her pants. Her little feet twitched as she finally felt sleep start to tempt her.
In truth, Kisa honestly wanted to help Kon find his daughter, but she was worried. WHen her week was up, it would be hard to explain to a child that she was very much someone who could turn on her at any time. Kisa could turn on anyone, at any time. The copper of her orbs were struck with rue as she looked at her bare hand. When had been the last time she'd seen that hand untainted? That pain, that day, it was like it was eternally yesterday, and she'd never forget it.
She wished she had more powers, something to benefit her. Although reginerating body parts was promising, the curse had to be in a pretty darn good mood to help her out. Kisa wondered what would happen when she died. Although a demon, Kisa would not deny her life would be cut short by this curse. So many thoughts ran through her mind, it was making it hard to sleep.

As Kon laid down to go to sleep taking off all but his under trunks he couldn’t help but think of Kisa. God, how tempting it was to… no he couldn’t. It was way too indecent of him. As he laid there the troubling thoughts of Kisa made him restless. All that ran through his mind was the soft of her skin, the tenderness of her eyes, and the warmth her smile brought to him. Every other moment the thoughts of how close her body had been to his made him groan with his loss.
You did the right thing Kon.
Finally pushing himself to push her out of his mind Kon drifted off to the land of dreams. Her thought out of his waking mind, she came to his dreams. She intoxicated him. As much as he loved her and wanted so badly to fill his desires there seemed to be something that stopped him. It was like waving candy in front of a child and not letting him have it. As his dreams went on his body tossed and turn on the bed, unable to settle. He made no noise but he tossing and turning made his body start to sweat. As a bittersweet moment occurred Kon finally was able to hold her in his arms and about to put his desires to rest but breaking something that seemed to be a protective shield. He felt the sudden feeling of dread. Without warning everything in his dreams went black and before him was a face. The face of a young woman with blue and black hair. Something he more noticed though was a scar that ran from lip to lip. Blair!
The spike in his dream sent him reeling from his sleep. Trying to catch his breath, each breath he took he lost the memory of his dreams. The warning in his dreams fading away to not be remembered. His breathing settled he looked around the room and noticed the sun was rising. Dawn! Getting up Kon noticed his muscles weak and covered in sweat. He didn’t remember why but he knew he had to clean himself off now. Grabbing a set of clothing he quiet left the house without seeing Kisa. Going to a pound he cooling his tense muscles and scrubbed his body. Getting dressed quickly Kon headed back to the house.
“Why do I have this feeling that something… no some one is nearing my home?”

The sound of his fast footsteps made her pull from the coma-like sleep she was in. Truth be told, she felt spoiled, having no dreams but just sleep. It was so intense, like her body was trying to compensate for the years of nightmares the curse had left her with. The door clicked shut and Kisa's eyes flickered open. The fire had died, only the last of the faint red embers remained, the soot all but useless now. Her cheek remained pressed to the floor below her, her body cool, the sun hadn't warmed these tiles yet.
Kisa felt, strange today. Something inside of her was rumbling, like her stomach was twisting in unpleasant knots. Unable to put her finger on it, she sighed long and heavy, letting her eyes shut again. Fingers flexed slowly and she pushed her body off the floor. Rubbing her furry arms she walked around the room until she found her jacket and threw it back on. The bobcat demon wanted a bath, but knew Kon wasn't here. Kisa wasn't sure if she should just wander off, it could very well confused the poor man.
Truth be told, she wanted to make sure he had recovered. Emotional and mental trauma was the worst, it always was. The amber of her eyes deepened as the orbs locked on her hand. A tiny line, small and red, had begun to emerge, the sign that the curse was indeed, returning to her. Kisa only had a few days left, the few days in paradise before the doors would lock and she'd be thrown back. The girl felt like crying, she enjoyed this life far too much.
'Is it selfish of me to want to be here? Why can everyone else be selfish, and I must be self-less. I hate you mother and father, I hate for this fate you gave me. It's not the blood, its not the scars, its the fact that I'll be alone until I die.'
Walking towards the door she pulled it open, knob turning and the hinges creaking. The senses kicked in, a shiver running up her spine. Something was here, she could sense this. Kisa couldn't tell what it was, but somehow, it was strangely familiar. A vague familiar at best, but still something was jogging her memory. With her foot she kicked her sword up into the air, she had left it by the door, and caught it. Still stained with her own blood, the blade still managed to shimmer in the light.
"Who's there?"

Thorn had traveled the land for twelve years searching for a man and there he was. Simple as that, on completely accident, Thorn had found the face in her dreams appear from behind a door. She had followed, of course, as he made his way to the pond. Bewildered as she was at his corproal form, she knew enough to keep a decent distance between the two of them. Years living on her own had taught her how to track, stalk, and capture her prey. Now these skills came as reflex and her bare, blistered, muddied feet followed him silently.
When they reached the pond and he stepped into its depths to cleanse himself, Thorn felt heat rising to her face and on powerful wings launched herself into the air. Being in the Region of the Wind, the soun dof wings ws not uncommon, so Thorn's flight went more or less unnoticed since she had left so much space. Over head she circled lazily, still warm in the cheeks for she had not come so close to another life in the past... several years.
He stepped from the waters and Thorn dipped to the side heading back the way she had followed him hoping to gain a lead on him and be there first. Powerful wingbeats easily pushed her foward and her worn feet landed softly near the entranceway before he could even spy the abode.
As the large mix-and-match, patchwork tunic finished settling about her half exposed shoulders, the scraping of hinges reached her ears. Even though Thorn's six feet seven inches easily helped her outmatch nearly every opponent that she faced, her head jerked up shaking the lengths black and blue hair atop her head. The thought of seeing someone other than this man streaked fear into her clear grey eyes. Fear, the only emotion to have penetrated those crystal eyes of late. Thorn felt no remorse for doing what she had in the past --all beings fought for survival-- and she felt no joy in her endeavors. She had nothig but an emptiness in her chest that needed explaining and that man could explain it... she hoped.
After a few steps of backing away from the door, a voice filtered through the air behind her. “Why do I have this feeling that something… no some one is nearing my home?” Thorn's steps froze; she heard blades of grass quailing as the souls of feet bent their frail backs. Her head swiveled around to look for the source of the voice. He was coming closer --the door scraped open fully and another voice filled the air. "Who's there?" Fangs hidden behind a clenched jaw pricked the inside of her scarred lips as her gray eyes met the face of a girl who looked more feline than anything. A length of metal, darkened with a stain, seemed to grow from this woman's hand, but Thorn did not run. She stood poised, half crouched ready to defend herself --yet she wanted no fight.
Instinct kept her at the ready, rough living brough it to the surface quickly, but she did not search for words. Thorn had had no practice communicating with other beings since the orphanages and she didn't want to exchange words with her. And yet, what did she plan to say to that man? The one from her dreams the proctors had called her father. The one that had looked so much like her even from so far away? Still, the presence before her, the woman with the cat ears, drew her attention almost fully from the man approaching from behind.

There was just a turn around the corner of the tall flowers that separated Kon and the open path to his home. His senses perking up from the way his flowers seemed to be quiet. When ever something was wrong or something was about to happen the flower seemed to tell him. Since he and his home were one from being each others only companions for so long they seemed almost one. They breathed together, the flowers swaying to the rhythm of his breathing; they were ill together, the flowers hanging and looking withered in his times of illness; and they radiated life when in bliss, the flowers full to their bloom and fragrance as sweet as ever. In Kon’s alarm the flowers seemed to grow dark and uninviting as if poison was beaching their life. The flowers seemed to stop swaying with the holding of his breath, the sound of the fields dying to silence, and the shadows they gave growing to hide his image as he rounded the corner. Everything silent and dark Kon couldn’t help but feel the moment was of significance. He couldn’t believe how the moment was building up for when he would see the being who dared to some this far into his home. Yes, his home looked inviting to most, but it was hard to reach and was quiet a feat to get this far without Kon picking up the being. The fields of flowers would have alerted him to some ones arrival unless it was his own being arriving. Who was this person and how did he not realize their presence until now?
The moment climaxes as he was half way around the flowers when he heard to words leave Kisa’s lips. He couldn’t help but feel his urgency to get around and disarm the possible threat to Kisa even if only the split second of a moment was all that was holding him back from making the round of the corner. Knowing Kisa was in possible danger with the newcomer the moment to see the two together didn’t move fast enough but rather in slow motion. As the edge of the flowers gave away and he saw a tall figure adorned in what seemed to be mismatched garments, bear feet, and giant wings tipped in green. From this view Kon saw the back of the blue and black haired female, which didn’t make him happy for that meant her gaze was on Kisa. As if unable to help himself his sharp claws so black that the curse of death seemed to be held within them, his long sharp fangs bared and his wings rising up from his body that sent a rush of energy pulsing from him. His aurora now changed from quiet and stealth to alarm and rage. Right foot lifting and planting it self in blinding speed Kon took off charging toward the being. Each foot hitting the ground Kon could hear the grass crunching under his weight. Not concentrating on attacking the being Kon only wished to get in front of the being to put space in between her and Kisa. Running right up to the woman not caring if she was alert to his advance to part her and Kisa he got just enough speed to launch himself up into the air picking up enough height to make it over the being head and fall right back down.
His Left foot finally being planted his toes dug into the ground as the forced of him driving his body up so the wind caught his wings to lift him over the being. Looking down at the being as he flew over her in slow motion he now realized she was to close for him to land in between her and Kisa. In his haste he had miss judged the space between the two. Flapping his large wings once, they gave him just enough lift for him to land on the roof of his home. Quickly turning to be facing the being Kon looked down to see Kisa was untouched. Relieved to a little extent, Kon lifted his gaze to the woman. Not meeting her eyes fully he couldn’t’ see any emotions in them but he did see something that seemed to freeze him down to his bones. Not many people have those eyes. Those clear grey eyes that ran through his blood line. As if something seemed to take root in the eyes he connected a few things. The grey eyes, blue hair, wings (not seeing the green tips), unnatural height… she must have been from his grandparents’ tribe or something of the sort. Kon, although he made the blood connection, he didn’t make the father daughter connection. He now realized the flowers didn’t alert him because they must have some of the same aurora to each other. Unknowingly Kon searched to catch her gaze to look deeper in her eyes and in so doing seemed to only see him and the woman before him. The danger that seemed in him before seemed to be dying out of him as his claws slowly grew shorter, his wings closing, and his fangs not fully bore. The physical signs of danger almost gone, the signs stayed in his eyes.
“I’m Warrick Thorn, keeper of this home and land. Who are you and what business do you have here?” Using Warrick instead of Kon he hoped to strike the fear into her. Seeing the dragon wings on her back he could almost assume she was of wind which would make her most likely to have heard of him and the with what had happened with his wife and daughter, which would bring fear to her if he had remembered right of how the news about him spread. “Warrick Thorn, demon half-breed murder of wife and child.”

Her tiny feet were spread, her tail was swishing about in a sort of jittery manner. The sandy colored ears on her head flexed when she heard the sound of wings. She knew this had to be Kon, and heard him land on the roof and announce to the stranger in the grass who he was. This whole situation was trepidation, anxious waiting, and nothing more than that. This person could be friend or foe, though why a friend would hide in the grass and flowers was beyond her.
That scent, it still puzzled her. Why did it seem familiar when Kisa knew virtually no one in this area. She had met Kon, and a few other people, but only enough to count on one hand. Her sword glistened in the sunlight, refracting the sun's rays in the direction of where the person as hiding. Kisa wasn't sure what to do with herself. Kon seemed to be quite fine waiting, but Kisa wasn't. The beast inside of her, who hadn't been released except to free herself of the curse's confinements, was roaring inside of her. Kisa could feel her own eyes changing to the deep red the beast had.
It started out low, a grumble in her throat that a feral cat might produce, and slowly it crescendoed into a hiss. Her fangs were visible, mouth slightly ajar to let out the hateful growl coming from her lips. Kisa could sense Kon's eyes were fixated on something in the field, and her own eyes began to work overtime to pin-point the hidden figure. Another sound punctured her hearing, the sound of his wings and claws retracting, did that mean the danger was gone? Still, Kisa didn't like the idea of anyone coming to endager her Kon.
"Not that you'd want to know my name, but I am Kisa Ren'ai. Just show yourself so we can stop waiting in this useless silence."
Yeah, Kisa could be blunt sometimes.

Lady... The plants seemed to whispering; her feathers felt like they were humming from their green tips. ...Welcome master...
Behind her, the humming was strongest behind her by those giant sunflowers. The humming there was warm; welcoming to the man that memory reminded her lived in this abode before her. The grass too hummed, singing almost where this approaching man stepped lightly --he sought stealth, a search lost on Thorn with her connection to the plants he treaded upon. The happiness in those plants about him seemed to flow up to her though bare feet. It pulsed through the air; in her wingtips, green for their attachment to plants, she sensed the plants' joys at being crushed by this man. ...Lady, he comes... And all at once, the plants seemed to thrill with the anger and rage of the male they called master. The sound of his feet grew louder --he charged. Thorn flipped her gaze from cat-girl and sword to catch, up close, the face of the man she's been stalking. His sprint across the front lawns seemed to slow in time as their eyes met. And then he left Thorn's sights in a speed and sudden flight even her dragon imbued strengths could not match. The plants mourned the loss of contact to him and she followed the sound of beating wings and rustle of clothes over her head to the roof above the cat-girl.
There the man settled himself and called out to her. “I’m Warrick Thorn, keeper of this home and land. Who are you and what business do you have here?” Wings, borne proudly behind him, shifted slowly, the tension dismantling. Those wings brought with them an awe that overshadowed any sort of fear or tension his fangs or claws might have sent permeating through her pores. Clear grey met clear grey eyes --Thorn had never before come across someone with eyes so similar to her own. The likeness disturbed her, but both felt that great weight each other's eyes in that moment, heaviness on their hearts and shoulders that neither could name. His face was strong as though he could prevail through all... much like Thorn's determined, stubbornly set jaw line. That face had unmistakably followed her in dreams, both waking and restless at night. Could this man --?"Not that you'd want to know my name, but I am Kisa Ren'ai. Just show yourself so we can stop waiting in this useless silence." Broad white wings pulled tight behind Thorn, knees bent, ready to launch her muscular body into the sky. The voice tugged Thorn instantly back to the here and now and she fixed her gaze on the earth-bound female, heedful of her stance and creased brow. Still crouched, Thorn waited, as a cautious woodland creature might before stepping forth before even a potential enemy. More silence. Even if this... Kisa... did not like silence, silence had been the constant in Thorn's wandering existence. She felt no need to break her quiet just yet, and she would not be pushed to do so by some impatient ruffian.
Still, Thorn knew she could not hide there, just down the slope from the house entrance way behind a row of plants, forever. Debating on how to make herself known to the second party --the man atop the roof certainly knew where she was and what she looked like-- Thorn flicked her gaze from Kisa to this Warrick and then back. Warrick's presence discomforted her for his familiarity. At the same time, he seemed to trust her. He had, after all, refrained from attacking during his charge. Kisa, however, stood ready to fight, ears and tail twitching with anticipation. Another look to the man atop the roof, a hard crystalline gaze that sought not a fight, but would not hesitate to harm another if pushed to defend herself.
Only then did, Thorn unknot the muscles in her knees and stand. Rough hands pushed aside the grasses --they hummed pleasantly at her touch, sending ripples of muffled joy to her wingtips-- and stepped through to where Kisa, as well as Warrick could see her fully. She looked at each in turn, not caring that the black and blue layers of hair clouded their view of her features. Not conscious of the brown dirt stains on her feet and patch-work ensemble, Thorn came forth at full height, some six feet, presenting herself to those who wished to know her, but sharing no words with them. She wished to know their reactions to a vagabond such as herself without revealing her cause for being there. First impressions often left Thorn no room to speak anyway. Everyone thought the girl in ripped, mismatched, unfitting, unflattering clothing, with her out of the ordinary hair, size, wings, and claws was up to no good and thusly, gave her no chance. Thorn stepped forth to these two only to appear mute in her defiant silence and world-hating gaze.

The defiance in the young girl's eyes, it was prominant. It was similar to the very defiance that ran through Kisa's own amber orbs prior to meeting Kon. She appeared on the surface one of a ruffian, or common bag girl, but Kisa knew, from her own experience, that a mask can be miles thick and would take dear time to break down. Her wings were white and tipped with a slight green, hair long and although tangled, was an elegant ebony and ocean blue colored hair framed her face. THe hair tried to hide the beauty in the girl's eyes, but they failed horribly. Kisa smiled lightly, one that any spectator would not understand, only Kisa did. Slowly, she hid her sword back within its sheith. The girl was also tall to say the least.
Silence ensued over the fields of lovely flowers. The neko-demon's eyes darted around quickly, watching the way the plants moved humbly, almost as if bowing to her. Kisa turned her head up to Kon and saw how he stared waiting for the girl to speak. The girl would not speak, Kisa knew this, she had kept herself hidden for a reason. Kisa's nose twitched, inspecting the scent of the newcomer. SHe smelt of many things, of many travels, of many fears and angers, and still she smelt most prominently of travel. The girl had been through a lot, so it seemed, something in Kisa's gut told her this.
"You will not speak, but you've clearly come here in search of something," Kisa began slowly, knowing she didn't want to stir up anything that would cause a fight. Her claws ran through her sand-colored hair. A flicker of realization crossed her eyes and she frowned lightly, gulping, trying to form words that would be difficult to speak. "You are no full demon, from one impure demon to another, that much is obvious, I mean it no disrespect."
Kisa started circling the girl, her tail swishing from side to side, her hands on her hips as they bounced with her step. "You've traveled a great deal, your appearance, and beyond it, your scent tells me so. So you've searched high and low for someone. Your appearance doesn't bother you, but has most likely bothered others. So if you disregard your appearance you must be feverent in your search for this someone."
Kisa returned to the front stoop and sat down on it, bringing one knee to her chest, smirking still. "You could retaliate, say I know nothing of you, and that would be true. I know only what my senses tell me. What my sense tell me are very interesting things. I ask you not to take down the walls of securities you wear, but merely know, I have no intention of fighting you unless you push me to do so."

Kon seemed lost in a haze and couldn’t find the key to free him from the pulling darkness. At first it only seemed that fog was covering his eyes, and his sight was narrowing, but he soon realized what was happening. He was losing his hold; the chains that bond his mind within came lashing out pulling him down to the darkness. Fight as he might against their pull he couldn’t do anything to stop them. He had not learned how to beat the split personalities in his head, he didn’t know how to stay dominant, he couldn’t fight them without know where to strike. As the battle in his mind went on, his physical body stayed stiff and cold yet his eyes never glanced away from the mysterious woman before him. Finally a dark seal confined Kon, and some one new took charge. The moment of exchange there was a big change in the aurora around him. His body seemed to have a deep tension of lightening around him, like fire lay just under the surface of his skin. The once protective aurora he had for Kisa seemed to vanish and anger and desire for destruction was there. He was no longer the man Kisa loved, but the assassin he was created through punishment.
Warrick had watched Kisa walk around the woman before him, saying things to her. Inwardly Warrick wanted to laugh. Who is she to make such assumptions? She is silent you dumb cat. She doesn’t want to speak or let us know anything why do you persist. His thoughts seemed hateful towards Kisa all at once, where the first time he had met Kisa he was overbearingly nice to her. This was the side that she hadn’t experienced yet. She had only seen one or two exchanges of Poe to Warrick. She hadn’t the clue that every time he changed his persona his opinion of things or people changed too. It was like Warrick was bi-polar. He could love you at one moment and then wish you the most painful deaths the world offered. What ever the stupid cat wants it’ll have to wait.
Standing up from the crouched position he had been in on the roof, he jumped down to the ground before the woman he had yet to earn a name from. Staring her up and down to survey the obvious he lost his patience and started off in making noises in a series of clicks, roars, and whistles. Seeing the traits about her he knew she had some wind dragon in her, which meant she should be familiar with the dragon langue. Speaking out to her his noises or words came rather quick with his impatience and distaste for being there.
“I have not the patience right now to deal with your silence, either make you purpose her known to me know or I shall treat you as an enemy to me and will deal with every hostility towards you.”
The private words in their tongue shared, Warrick seemed to shift his position into a stance whish it would take little effort to move forward with enough speed to engage in a quick attack. The weight bore on the toes of his front leg and his other foot just given enough weight to heave him off towards her should he have to. Not bothering with a weapon Warrick’s claws came forth again still fresh from drawing them moments ago.
o.o.c.- don't kill me for calling Kisa a cat... it was Warrick...

[[Wasn't sure if I was waiting for Thorn's turn or not...guess its my turn]]
His actions were brusque, unloving. They caught her off guard to say the least. Kisa's ears pulled back and her eyes narrowed, something about Kon's aura was wrong. The dialogue between the two, something she couldn't interpret, was rash and cruel as well. She didn't like it, Kisa knew this girl was important, she had to be or she would not have come all this way to find Kon. This wasn't Kon, Kisa knew it now, there was no way to explain it, but she just knew. Kon would never exclude her in such a mean way. Kisa noted his fighter's stance, the weight being shifted on his toes, preparing himself. Kisa felt her hand tug at her sword, but she was reluctant. This was her Kon, her Kon. Minutes ago Kisa had promised to give this girl the benefit of the doubt, and now Kon was doing just the opposite.
Kisa grabbed his arm, "What are you doing, K--Warrick? This girl came here to look for you, not cause problems." Her words were hushed, but she knew the girl could hear, but Kisa didn't care. "This girl isn't a threat, can't you tell that? I mean, I don't trust her c ompletely either, but don't you see how the plants welcomed her? You told me those were your plants, I don't think they'd just let anyone come waltzing in."
Kisa turned her eyes to the girl, looking at her, amber orbs warning of her what was to come. THe girl didn't deserve to travel this far in search of something to just be ruthlessly attacked. Kisa squeezed his arm and tried to get him to look at her. "STand down, don't just fight her without giving her a chance. You gave me a chance, why aren't you giving her one? That's not like you at all."

First, the cat-girl came forward, spewing blithering word after word from her lips. Thorn stood as though to endure the lecture, stance tall and strong, a stance unwilling to backdown for anyone, but when the stranger came forth and circled her, a frown creased her brow. Thorn knew she was strange to these two, an unwelcomed visitor in their home of sorts, but she was not one to take lightly to such arrogance as Kisa showed. A disrespectful glare followed the cat-girl as she circled and talked her all important suggestions to whoever would listen. Thorn payed little attention to what Kisa said; Thorn didn't care in the least what she had to say. Whoever this feline thought she was, she stalked about as though she knew so much about Thorn, echoing her assumptions into the air and then, as though to deflate her own superiority bubble, the girl went on to give Thorn permission to talk back, defend herself. But, for all the things Thorn disliked about Kisa's twitching tail and the tuffs of fur on her ears, the stranger made a small pact of good will. She, unlike the man who launched himself from the roof, did not seek a fight and for that, Thorn left less of her attention for the cat and more for the face now standing closer to her than she'd ever imagined.
The man from Thorn's dreams stood before her. He, too, took survey of her, but at least he had the respect of her not to circle her like a doll. He regarded her with an eye not of suspicion, but of simple regard for the information her garb had to offer. Without any hesitation, the man began speaking in a tongue other than Common. At first the burst of clicking and whistling collided with a wall that didn't understand a word of what was being said. The familiarity of his language left her wits on edge as she quietly attempted to discern his meaning. Thorn stared at him with the same level, crystal grey eyes, uncertain of this man's sanity, but quickly pulling a peace from deep within her. It wiped her thoughts clean as she watched him produce these noises and flooded her veins. Slowly his meaning came to her.
"...not... right now the patience... either make you purpose here known... treat you as an enemy to me and will deal with every hostility towards you.” Still, Thorn kept her silence. She wondered quietly what language he'd just sooken to her and how she'd understood it. She could feel it in her wings again. The sense that this man held the answers she'd sought her entire life. Somehow he'd known Thorn would understand him and from the look on Kisa's face, she hadn't.
Cautiously words found pattern on her tongue, but as she found her voice, Kisa interrupted thinking what she had to say was important. In truth, Thorn found it extrodinarily bothersome that she had to make all of her thoughts known. "Stand down, don't just fight her without giving her a chance. You gave me a chance, why aren't you giving her one? That's not like you at all."
Thorn's wings rustled, loosening the pinions and stretching the joints. "If he so wishes, I shall fight," The man stood poised for battle, weight shifted and ready to launch an assult upon Thorn's being. Thorn, however, stood the same, taller by barely an inch and relaxed her demeanor. Only her eyes seemed ready for the challenge should it be presented toward her. Thorn was not one to initiate confrontation; confrontation always found her. Whether it was being accused of theivery while walking through a town or harassed for where she spent the night, Thorn never quite got away with living a life. Here she was, yet again, not given a chance to explain herself when the other sought a constest of arms. Sure she'd tesspassed, but she had no mal intent. In fact, if Kisa hadn't been there, Thorn figured she would have gotten more than those seven words in. But standing there in her rags, Thorn knew better than to make the first move. Instead, she took advantage of the silence her clear, hard voice had brought and spoke as though she adressed an audience that demanded respect. "I come seeking words with this Warrick," Her eyes flashed and caught Kisa's amber orbs, "Not this cat of his."
ooc: Sorry for the confusion. It seems like it took me a little to long to post so Kisa jumped the gun. No worries, I fixed things. *tags Warrick* Tag! You're it!

Well we made some progress, but not much. God I don’t have patience enough for this! Warrick’s footing eased back and he stood straight again. Still his claws remained. Looking over this time at Kisa he pointed one long death like claw at her, never taking a wary eye off the girl at the same time. Not only had her words angered him more. In Warrick’s demented mind he saw her as assuming way to much and was deeply starting to be some how offended by her words. “You must cease to talk. You assume too much for your own good. I give you as much as knowing something about my plants since you are of earth, but you no nothing more of her than I. I’m most positive I know more. For she has the eyes of the sky, and that means if she so chose she is indeed a threat. As for how I treated you… this wasn’t the person you were when I meet you. Something inside this pathetic waste of ‘Kon’ has weakened you.” the eyes of the sky were the name for the eyes that ran through his blood. He knew too that anyone in his blood line was more than capable of mass murder. Though she was a threat, he had seniority and military in him, he wasn’t at all fearful of her. He was careful and knew to keep his eyes on her though. As for his last comment to her, inside Kon screamed at Warrick for his harshness. How Warrick had come to realize Kon was there too was beyond Kon. Previous to this moment Kon thought Warrick was oblivious to his existence. His full attention was now on the girl and he spoke again in clicks.
“I wish no fight. I wish for answers! A name from you and what part of my kin will do. If I see fit maybe then you shall have what you came here to speak with me about, but not until I know what I want first!”
Warrick’s clicks were harsh and blunt. He cared not for small talk at the moment and only wished to have everything firmly in his control again. His tempter was loose and he would soon be in rage if he didn’t get his answers. The sight of kin made him unsettled. This was the kin, and his kin had lied to him ever since his birth. Not only that, but as far as his knowing all of his grandfather’s tribe was dead. Some where in his mind he feared the truth but wouldn’t let it come to the surface of his mind to be plain.
o.o.c.- short I know, but that is as far as I wanted to go... *pokes kisa* no tag backs!!!

Both these damn dragons brought fury through her veins. Kisa's ears folded back and she didn't know which to kill first. Neither had any right to say these things, and if she had treated them poorly she hadn't meant to do so. These two were related, that much was evident, personality and physical attributes. Kisa considered leaving, and never returning, her judgment blinded by the intense emotions that ran through her but did not surface. Part of her constantly waved the promise of staying with Kon before her eyes, baiting her to stay calm, and was failing slowly.
Kisa saw the girl's eyes lock to hers and a growl rumbled in her throat. "I don't care if you are his kin or if you are stronger than I, dare not call me any man, nor any creature's, possession. I bare no mark of a mate and no ownership." Kisa for the first time in her life, wished the curse was with her, so it too, could kill this beggar-girl. "I am no house cat, vagabond, should you be wise to remember that."
You must cease to talk. "I'm sure you know more, you bastard, it is your blood that courses through her veins," Kisa spat, pointing an accusing finger at him. "But since you insist on being a pompous Neanderthal I vocalize that what I can merely deduce with these 'weakened' senses of mine."
Kisa glared and closed her eyes, "All beings are threats, including you, Warrick Thorn. Do not think merely because the ice around my heart has melted my intelligence left with it. At least I stand here aware of my past and at least accepting of it instead of blatantly denying it when it stands before me in tangible form!" The bobcat-neko looked at the girl and then back at Warrick. "Daughter like father....why am I not surprised?"
Turning she made her way back toward the house, hands at her sides, the most utter pain and frustration running through her. She stopped for a moment, "Oh, and you're right, Warrick Thorn, I have changed. But so have you. Perhaps it's time for you to go retrieve that assassin's badge, for you have surely become Satan's bastard. I hope you're happy with this girl. I wanted his happiness, but I will not stand here and be insulted by someone who cannot even stand and face his own demons. It is you that is pathetic, Warrick Thorn, not Kon."
She reached the door and sighed, "Come get me when you decide to be a man, instead of a boy with a tantrum." With nothing else to say, she wandered inside.

A lover's quarrel. After a speech erupted from Kisa, a backlash to Thorn's own words and a defense of sorts --the girl did not seem to understand what battles she should or should not fight-- Warrick piled a rather vicious assault of truth upon the cat-girl. Thorn stood in wait, a mute once more, as Warrick threw violent words at Kisa. Although Thorn personally avoided contact as much as possible, even she knew to stay back as these two lashed out with barbed tongues. Thorn's expression remained blank through both outbursts. She knew nothing of Kisa, nor of Warrick's personalities, nor did she know snything of their relationsip, so she could have no opinion. Put simply, Thorn didn't care if they were mad at her, mad at each other, or mad at everyone as Warrick seemed to be.
Thorn became nearly invisible as they traded verbal blows until Kisa stormed into the house, leaving Warrick as the only one to witness Thorn's presence. In that silence, Thorn waited while anger was once again snapped in her direction. “I wish no fight. I wish for answers! A name from you and what part of my kin will do. If I see fit maybe then you shall have what you came here to speak with me about, but not until I know what I want first!” Person after person hated Thorn on first impression. This man seemed no different with his strange clicking and whistling. She couldn't help smirk when he finished. So he knew they were related...? Either he had listened to Kisa more than he let her know or he had other informants to tell him they shared a blood line. Whatever the case, Thorn could no longer keep her silence. His patience grew too thin, his speech too clipped, and countenance too tense. Thorn gathered her thoughts and what she believed to be true. He needed --more than he demanded-- a response.
"You want answers, yet you have no patience. It will ruin you one day." Thorn's grey eyes remained level and blank while some may have glittered as though trying to provoke agression. "Still, it is an answer you seek and an answer is what I have for you.
"I know not that part of your kin I am. I have met no others like me, save you." The grass hummed as though giving her strength; Thorn could feel it in her veins --she was a part of this land. If this man, poised for battle before her, was truly her father, then she could understand the plants reaction to her presence. And if she could feel it, could he? She tried to soothe their eagerness, but by reaching out to them, their emotions seemed to swell to even greater heights. Thorn had not, however, pulled her focus from her company. He awaited a more extensive response in her small pause so she resumed. "I am called Thorn, at my preference and no one else's. Reffer to me as such, should you decide to speak of me."
Quiet again. Thorn was not used to speaking so much about herself. To most, saying this much was nothing and they would say no more than necessary at request. These were the smart people. They had an easy time with social interaction so they knew what they did or did not need to say to please others. The manipulative of words. On the other hand, many spoke ballads and speeches just to hear themselves speak --Thorn despised these people. They said all they could, revealing a great deal about themselves even if the point of the words proved pointless. It was how they strung their words together in elaborate tangles that Thorn found annoying and Thorn found Kisa annoying. If it was truly important, no flourishes would be necessary. Quite unlike either of these two categories, Thorn simply refused to speak unless utterly necessary. If someone addressed her, they would recieve an answer in its simplest form, nothing less than that. She held no secrets, but did not spill them without necessity.
But all of this comes from obervation and opinion. Thorn had many opinions, but so does every other being walking Algaesia's soil. Keeping to her straight to the point ways, Thorn finished her little bout with many memories of her name echoing through every hall of every orphanage she'd ever spent time at. Time had hardened her to those memories; nothing good had ever come afterward. So with a glint in her voice, she finished her introduction. "...But they used to call me Blaire."
