The following moments were blurred between consciousness and the darkness of her mind; her feet left the ground, her breath was short, her heartbeat echoed in her ears. Kyo was taking them far away, the scent of burning candle was briefly in her nose. Then suddenly she was on her feet again. She swayed while standing, obviously depleted to a point she'd never experienced before. THe green blood trickled from her eyes as if she were a spring. Hana in a delayed response realized Kyo had touched a doorknob, implying they were somewhere they had not been before. He called out to her, and she slowly approached.
HIs questions were well deserved, justifiable inquiries. Still, in her eyes, on her face, everything was blank. Her insides hurt in ways she'd never expected before. The muscles ached, the organs were screaming, beneath the pink pancho she wore her clothe were soaking up her hanyou blood like a greedy sponge. Even her lavendar hair looked matted and oiled, she resembled a walking corpse. LIps parted, blood spilling at the corners. She held out her hand for him and in a breathy gasp managed, "Kyo."
A pain tugged at her heart and she gripped her chest, her face contorting with pain as she fell to her knees and shuddered. "Chi..ropt...era. That...was a chiroptera.." she squeaked weakly but desperately continued. "I fear that...I am...your bait now. This beast...wants my life....feeds on the blood of hanyou and humanoid. I am...special...apparently. I have angered it."
Hana looked up to where she thought he'd be, holding her hand out to him. "Evictim, to strangle, to bind. My powers....I can conjour that which the earth is made of. I am..." she coughed and blood coated the ground. "Listen to me...Kyo. Your skills...are your skills...but this chiroptera....all chiroptera...are only killed by a certain rare group of people, one of which you are not. You must run from the beast...if it should return....do NOT fight it, I beg of you....
"This one....this one used too much of her powers. Kyo...this one...this one's soul belongs to the soil. My father....my father was not an elf like my mother. I hear the forest, the animals, like my mother. This one's father...this one's father was banished by my people, as was I...this one's father sold his soul to this earth...but I never found truth as to why. This one...when the earth dies....I die too....Kyo...this one is dying now."
Befre she could finish a scream of the monster echoed through the empty mansion. SHe held her ears and winced, "Damn this chiroptera...who screams my name...screams screams scream. I canont stand this sound." SHe stood slowly, knees practically on the verge of buckling and pulling her back with gravity. "This mansion holds souls who lost their lives unjustly, I wonder now, if this chiroptera took their lives, or if it was only after my blood." Finally standing Hana cleared her throat, wiped her lips with her sleeve, and grinned almost childishly. "This one is a cursed hanyou, a banished princess, and now a dying vessel. This one left the trees, the trees that offered to protect her, to stay with you. THis one does not blame you, but in this one's choice, this one will protect you still. I can hold this chiroptera back, who is now approaching."
Though she weakly extended her hand to him, it was curled in such a way that indicated she could not take his hand even if he wanted. "Kyo, you must run. I will find you."

Kyo was wrong. The chiroptera was not gone. It remained in those tunnels hunting them, wanting to feed on them. Hana was protecting him. Wasn’t it suppose to be the other way, the male protecting the woman. Of course, if he could not see the thing, he couldn’t fight it. Hana even told him not to fight this monster, but could he just stand there and do nothing? No. But he’d be making a bad situation worse by standing there.
He reached for Hana’s hand. She was weak and bleeding. He did not know what to do. He couldn’t help her. His skills were for humans not the supernatural. This was bad. Kyo could not stand it if she died, but he did not disobey her orders. He leaned in closer the girl, still holding her hand.
“I will go, but you must return to me in one piece, alive. Please, if something happened to you, I could never forgive myself for losing to precious souls in this lifetime. Please. I advise against this, I mean, leaving you here alone in this weak state, but maybe you have another trick up your sleeve. Please be careful and return. If not, I will come for you.” He gave her a hug before siding away from her and disappearing into the darkness. He went up the stairs of the home. It was eerie feeling. The house was perfectly clean and everything was up-to-date but there were no signs of people being inhabited there. He lurked around the house, trying to find the door to the outside, which wasn’t too hard considering the big door surrounded by windows allowing sunlight in was right around the corner.
Kyo reached for the door and as he opened it he realized that the house was being lived in considering a busy town full of people were outside. There were children laughing and playing in the fresh snow, parents chatting and talking. It was a happy environment except for him. He walked out in to the snow, the chill not affecting his bare shoulders. People gave him strange looks from the way he looked from running and fighting down in the tunnels. Did the people know about the tunnels? Or about the house? Or that monster? Probably not and he was not going to ask and them carry him away like he had a mental issue?
Kyo walked slowly through the town until he came to an inn. He knew the house he had exited through was empty, but it just didn’t feel right. He rented a room and went upstairs to sulk. As he lay in the tub, scrubbing himself free of all the remnants of those tunnels. He hated knowing he left Hana down there by herself, weak and all. He would hate himself forever if he lost her. He wouldn’t be able to bear the guilt.
He slumped into the bed. ‘Emi. Please. Help. Me. What should I do? Hana is down there by herself fighting god knows what. I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like crying. You always helped me through times like this. Please. I do not want to go back to my old ways.”
Then it clinked. The guilt settling in. He slipped on some clothes, grabbed his wallet and went to the bar. Alcohol and women. His two things that ‘freed’ his thoughts. He sat down, drinking and until the money he had on him was gone. He knew he would pay for this later but he didn’t care. He walked slowly back to his room and flopped onto the bed, falling asleep almost instantly. He dreamt that Hana did come back, alive and well, but he knew that all of that wasn’t real; Emi was there with a little boy. Emi was dead. He stayed in dreamland, in the land he wanted to be real.

Hana lived a very quiet and independent life. Though she had lived throughout a few centuries, she was only a grain of sand to the world. Her mother was the most powerful elf she'd known, and she had inherited half that power. Hana had been taught the ways of quiet observation. Born blind, no one could explain how the daughter of a pure entity like her mother would have such a fault. Mother reassured nothign was wrong with Hana, but her mother also explained her father was a demon. Her father sold his soul to the god of the earth, why, she never knew.
After silene filled where Kyo had stood Hana trned back to the shut door. Her petite ears could hear the savage and clumbsy gate of the chiroptera, its broad shoulders smashing against the walls of the house, dirt and wood alike being broken apart. It's eyes filled the color of red, ready to spill her blood.
Hana had quietly been asked to leave her tribe. When her mother was alive, the people were asured that someone would be able to control Hana if the "unknown black powers", or tainted powers, of her father were to be awoken. But with no goddess or leader she was quietly asked t leave for the safety of the others. Hana felt a pain in her chest, at the time she didn't know it ws saddness, but left with a smile and a wave. Wandering the world for many years, she searched for her "Special someone" as mother had fortolled. What the special someone would be, no one knew.
The door was smashed open by the horns of the chiroptera. It's eyes darted left to right, salvia spilling from its opened mouth, canine's glistening in the darkness. Hana looked up, legs spread, arms spread wide. "You have arrived."
When Hana had left her village she was warned of the harsh winters. Being hanyou, even the elders were unsure of how she would fair in the outside world. The elves had used their magic for centuries to keep the temperatures leisurely and away from the snow. Hana had learned now the affects of her father's deeds, assuming that, her soul too, was bound to the soil because she was part of him by blood. Perhaps if she were to die, the soil would rebuild her in the future, that she payed for.
The beast lunged towards her and despite her lack of sight she flipped backwards, twisting on her left hand, blood splashing to the floor on th way. "You have killed too many innocent people. This one cannot forgive that. You shall not harm Kyo."
It's fangs grazed her shoulder, tearing the thin fabric of her jacket and the skin tight leather suit beneath. She cried out in pain, stumbling back as it continued it's advance. "Evictim!" Vines sprang out from her pale palm and began their strikes against the beast. To her surprise the ruthless chiroptera had learned from it's past experiences and dodged her vines. Her gasp was cut off quickly by her painful scream that echoed through the home.
I this....how this one must leave the world? Alone....in pain....without anyone?.
The beast's pants had slowly subsided, it's desires filled as her green blood gushed out of her body lodged between his sharp canine's. The blood dulled its lust, making it content only briefly. Hana's eyes were shaking, focusing and unfocusing as she tried not to die so quickly. She was in suspended in the air between is jaws, her feet and fingers just centimeters from the floor. THe beast squeezed her harder and she screamed out in pain. Tears dripped from her eyes, she was in so much pain her body was starting to fall into a state of shock.
I musn't die this way....this beast cannot hurt the others....especially Kyo....
Hana's eyes found the floor where her own blood was expanding into a green puddle. Her blood was exiciting the wood, restoring peices of it's life. The earth wanted to save its hanyou kin. She remembered once a parchment her father had sent to her from far far away, to be opened only when she was twelve. Her father had left nothing but this one inscription, the one commandment, that would be used as one last result. There was no love in that letter for her.
Bending slightly, organs and skin alike ripping, a new wave of blood growing, her hand gently tapped the floorboards below, forming a connection between the two, "....Sum seedling.... of terra..... Commodum is somes..... subsisto is bestia!"
The floorboard, the entire house, anything once belonging to the earth within the town flashed a marvelous neon green. The home rumbled, causing the chiroptera to look around uncertainly. From the earth shot out vines which stabbed themselves into Hana's dying body, her eyes closed, the pain was no more. The floor open like a mouth and from it giant roots of brown and green came, cracking and breakig the walls and through the ceiling. It broke the home above she did not know about, causing the family to watch in shock. The town shook for a few minutes, and the dust settled. Where the home stood was now a large tree, its trunk yards wide, blooming beatiful pink and white cherry blossoms. The chiroptera was immobilized by vines going through its chest, skewering it, though it still lived.
The people panicked and looked at each other, wondering about what the beast was, or where it came from. Who had brought this godly tree into existence, a tree miles high. The sky was raining with the cherry blossoms, a sea of pink, the children seemed comforted by it's calm scent. The blossoms were most irregular, it was still the dead of winter, the fresh blanket of snow enough evidence. The chiroptera twitched occassionaly until it was silent and as if put into a deep preserving sleep, blue blood dripping from the holes in its flesh. A townswoman screamed when she saw another sight.
In the center of the tree was the young Hana, arms spread and legs together, as if Christ crucified on the cross. Vines attached to her like she were the heart of the tree, vines creeping over her naked flesh, penetrating her skin to expose a green pumping heart. Her eyes were open and red, staring towards the sky. She was modestly covered by the vines where it was appropriate, but other than that, she seemed to be part of this tree. Her hair, violent, was fanned out behind her, as if permanently glued to the bark of this god tree. The vines wrapped about her, still moving as the tree continued to grow much more slowly. Green tears slid down her face until she stilled, as if too, asleep. Her face was caked with green cracks, but she no loner bled. Hana, was the soul of the tree that had stopped the chiroptera. THe only thing that moved, was her exposed, beating, green heart.
I...am a seedling...of the earth. Use...this body...to stop this beast.
Kyo....I cannot come back to you.

Kyo awoke to a massive hangover; a throbbing head was the main side effect. He dressed himself and sat on the hard bed. Of course, what else would you expect from a cheap inn? As he sat there, head in his hands, he decided what better way to cure a hangover than more alcohol and more pretty women for him to watch. Grabbing his wallet, he slumped out the door. He walked down the snow-covered streets, his black clothes being the evil against the pure, innocent colored snow.
He didn't know what day it was, he didn't know where he was, he didn't know what time it was, he didn't even know who he was anymore. Where was Hana, was she even alive, was the thing dead, what was in that box up in his room in the inn, did those diaries hold secrets to defeat? Millions of questions ran throughout his mind. Most of them, unanswered. He came across a bar, women in barely anything, serving all the men as the men ogled them.
He took a seat at the bar, ordered himself the strongest in the house. This was who he was before Emi, before anything had happened. Emi helped him to love so he knew he was worthwhile, Hana taught him hope and trust so he knew he had a place in life, and now look at him. He was sitting in a bar, being worthless, hopeless, while drinking a beer while a girl with huge breasts in a low cut shirt gave him a lap dance. The morning went as follows: One more beer, five less questions he didn't have to care about, one more girl for him to ogle, touch, grab, do whatever he wanted to do to them. He had one too many drinks before one of the girls decided that she wanted to see more of him. The two went upstairs where the customers who wanted more than ogling and touching went. They also paid a lot more, but she would give this one a discount.
Kyo was one of those dirty drunks, who was perfectly sober during sex, who knew exactly who they were during, what they were doing. Before he knew it, he was on top of her, all of his worries gone, only concentrating on the pleasure. He lay in bed, naked, next to the girl who was still playing with him before both drifted off to sleep.
He dreamt about Emi. Emi was speaking to him. “Kyo, what are you doing? Did I teach you nothing? Does that necklace mean nothing? Are you going to do this the rest of your life: drink like a fish and have sex with any girl with big breasts who agrees to blow you? Was that all I was? Wake up! Get real! Get your act together!”
It went to a flashback. It was of Emi and him. He was sleeping peacefully in their bed. Emi stroking his hair, kissing him gently on his forehead. His life went back further to when his mother was doing the same thing to him as a very young child. This was how people treated others who they loved. Then it went to the future. It was of nothing. No one stroking his hair, no one kissing him, no one caring about him as he sat in a bar, unkempt and holding a bar. There was no one there to hold him together. All the people he cared about were what held the pieces of his mental puzzle. Now there was no one there to do that.
Kyo woke abruptly, the woman still asleep. He put his clothes back on, gathered his belongings and paying the woman for her service. He still had a bad hangover, actually it was worse now. He walked into town, the cold air affecting him, waking him up more. He returned to his room, digging through his stuff for the damn box. As he opened it a whiff of ancient air filled his nose. It smelled disgusting. A note laid on top.
-To who finds this. This will help the demon that haunts us. Use these and you will be thanked and saved yourself. - Under the note, laid a bottle, what he had to do with it, he didn't know and an incantation. He shoved them into his pocket, wrapped his knives around his waist, his bow and arrow onto his back. He headed out, he was going to help Hana, hopefully she was still alive.
As he walked he overheard a conversation between two women. They were chatting about a big cherry tree blooming now and how it just appeared, an unsightly sight upon it. Now he could smell it, the sweet scent of the blossoms. It was Emi’s favorite scent, how could he have missed it? He followed it to the source. It was a huge, enormous tree and he wasn't exaggerating either. A blossom landed directly on top of his head, as if a sign to look up. He looked up indeed; he was too late. Hana was there on the tree; she seemed imbedded into it. He dropped to his knees. He had lost another one. He couldn't deal with this, not now, not ever. He was too late; Kyo was always too late. He shouldn't have left her. Kyo should have stayed by her side. He should be dead. Tears poured from his eyes as flashbacks of Emi's death haunted him, Hana's green blood coming from the cracks in her skin when she was so weak.
Kyo didn't know if she was alive, yet he could see her heart beating. Kyo didn't know anything at that moment. He didn't know how to help, he didn't know. He just didn't know....
“Hana!”

ooc: ok, I haven't read the whole thing... so forgive me if I miss something, I'll try to keep it vague, but I'm only referancing the few details I've picked up from the last couple posts.
The earthen town, quiet humble... many assume that such quiet towns hold no security save their own, that their leaders are too jealous, too pompous, too frightened to allow their soldiers and scouts to wander outside of their home city. Luckily, Satazian was no such ruler. He had not survived to come to power in the age of war and to see his proud nation out of it and into peace, to have his image belittled. He knew how to lead and govern, and he held his boundaries with a powerful arm. If he had anything over the three other nations it was merely his experience. Earth had seen him secure for over 500 years, his weakness would not start now.
Thus, it was not unnatural that a sudden comotion would not draw attention. Huri, a young stationed soldier on the outer skirts of the village was vageuly aware of a distressful sigh in the crust of the earth. His gifts left him useful to Lord Satazian, as his insight into life was rooted within the soil and all that flourished from it. True enough, he could not create life, nor really control it... but he knew it. He understood it, he could listen and comprehend its whispers and encourage as he would. His talents did not make him a soldier, they made him a tactical man--methodical and wise even in his young years. For this reason Satazian had placed him as an infantry on the boarders of earth in placid reive. Here he was to watch and observe for signs of invasion, signs of distress, of crimes against the hold.
However, now... he didn't know, didn't understand... this distress came from within, not from without and he worried that he had failed. The worries were old, an event that must have transpired during the night. Curiously, Huri harried his body through the streets, aware of a new scent that seemed to haunt the allies with an alluring breath. He knew the scent, that of a cherries blossom. It was odd that such a thing would sprout in this dead cold of winter when things seemed only able to die. It was stranger still that it should suddenly appear overnight...
...and there it stood. In an array of horror and beauty, Huri looked upon what he had only heard of in dreams and fairytales. Stories of nymphs and other creatures that were directly hinged to the earth itself. Now, before him he watched a grisly scene. The tree, beautiful in itself harbored and suspended a girl--unattractive in her exposed state, as it also skewered a rather offensive creature, a creature that was not meant for any good. Huri was glad to see it dead, though he knew not what it was.
He stood in the square, noting a young man at the breadth of the tree's root. He seemed distraught over some pain, and instinctively Huri looked towards the woman, pondering what was truly at the turns of this table which they spun. Cautiously, he threw his conscience into the soil, tracing his pattern through the soot to the root of the tree, at which he also inquired--whispering sweetly, condoling and asking--pondering at what price this vessel had seen fit to steal away the girl.
Softly he questioned, keeping a respectful distance, not meaning to invade. ... "Tell me, sister of the soil, what leaves you to this state of being, why have you so taken this girl--or why has she placed so much trust in you?" ...
He knew not what else to do, he could only try to help--a nature imprinted upon him by training. He lived to serve, this was moment was no different. It was his responcibility to aid the civilians of earth and it would seem rather rash to abandon such a strange and uncharacteristic situation. His superiors would surely not approve.

It was all quiet, almost perfect silence. The sound of her forced heartbeat echoed through the layers of her conscience. This was not the world inside the tree, no, it was merely nothing, a land where sky met ground all in the color of white. One solid line, the horizon, was black. The rest of this place was merely empty space, except for the tree that held Hana back. In this place Hana could see, no longer tainted by the genetics she'd been blessed with. On the other hand, there was nothing to see, because nothing was here. Everything was silence and alone.
This place left her with one thing -- thought.
"Now the Chiroptera can harm no one else. Such a foul beast was not meant to see the world above the soil, thus it had been banished so long ago. Oh Kyo, you must be so afraid outside, you cannot understand. There is no one out there who can explain to you what I have done."
Her voice echoed in the halls of solitude. The incantation "Sum seedling.... of terra..... Commodum is somes..... subsisto is bestia", the limited words of her father. Now Hana understood why she had been told this was a last resort. Hana hung in solitary aloneness, even the tree would not speak with her. She leaned her head back and stared up at the what would be sky, here, in this place, her wounds did not ache, her body did not bleed, she was merely tied back by the heart of this tree. Her body was ripped open so her heart was exposed, but no pain, nothing, it almost appeared natural here.
Hana knew that this had been the right decision, no one in this land would have known how to counter a chiroptera. It feasted on her people, and supposedly her clan had banished all to the underworlds. Maybe the Lord of Soil would have ----- right, the Lord of Soil, wasn't she supposed to see him? Their plan, Kyo and Hana's, to see the Lord of Soil to help Hana survive this winter. Something left unfinished, it troubled her. A frown came across the pale flower maiden's face, she felt tears fill her eyes. There was a hurt deep inside of her, primitive, but there. Hana was not a complex being, her mind worked in simple manners merely to make things easier on her. The girl was capable of extrordinary things, but she knew none of them.
Hana was all but lost in her thoughts when she felt it, a presence. Who had the power to enter this sacred tree, this godly tree? Her attempts to crane her neck to see were futile, but the presence stirred life back into her. This one day of solitude seemed like eternity, nothing here could measure time. The presence was small but grew in a matter of seconds, then it spoke. It was a soft, caring voice, a man's, but not Kyo's.
... "Tell me, sister of the soil, what leaves you to this state of being, why have you so taken this girl--or why has she placed so much trust in you?" ...
Hana opened her mouth to speak but the vines that bound her sealed her lips. Tears filled her eyes, A voice! Let me speak, I beg you!
"This girl made her decision when she spoke that anicent tongue. She is thus the sacrifice to save the people of this region. Such a creature, I understand not why she so willingly gave her soul to me for the sake of those people. It warms me so, I have been repressed for far too long. This child of the flowers gave herself to slay the chiroptera"

Kyo knelt on the snow-covered ground, looking up at the girl he left behind. He kept telling himself that he should have stayed by her side; that he should have helped her any way that he could. Streams of tears flooded out the corners of his vibrant green eyes. He could taste the salt as a few rogue drops separated from the mainstream and washed over his lips.
His silvery hair clung to his forehead. His newly restored hope had vanished. His life was becoming more upbeat, hopeful, and purposeful until now. Now all of things that were becoming clearer in his life were evaporating in front of his eyes.
“Why, why is it always me? My life? What did I ever do to disserve this? I need someone to help me understand…. anyone…” He sat down against the tree, looking up at Hana.
“Why me….”
He cried himself to sleep. It was one of those dreams about his past. A dream about the necklace; A dream about those two fateful nights that would be imbedded into his mind for as long as he lived. It started out with that night his mother was murdered in front of his eyes. A night that he didn’t know whether to cheer or cry. His loved his mother just as much as he hated her. Though the hatred was strong, he still sat crying next to his dying mother. He didn’t want her to die, she was, after all, his mother, the one who nursed him as a baby.
That cross necklace lay on her chest, covered by the blood flowing from the wound. She gave that necklace to him, blood-soaked as it was.
“Take this. This is the least I can do for you.” Those were her last words. There was no ‘I love you’ like a mother is suppose to say to her son. Well, she never did love him or at least he thought.
“Goodbye. Mother.” He couldn’t exactly say that he loved her either. That night he vowed to revenge her. He wore that necklace with pride the years following her death, never taking it off. That was until Emi. He gave that necklace to Emi. It was his symbol of love towards her. He had given it to her one night after they had make-up sex.
She was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, but what he didn’t know is that she was due to leave this world a week later.
Once again, that necklace was covered in blood from a wound. He had taken it from Emi’s cold neck that night of her death. No one else would be cursed by it. He would wear it from now until forever, never to be blood-soaked by a woman he loved again.
This necklace meant more to him than his life because it had already two lives in its lifetime. Kyo awoke to a ray of sun shining down upon that cursed cross necklace. He thought of how ironic it was that one of the most sacred symbols, a cross, could amount to such a loss.
He looked around. He was only out for a maximum of 10 minutes. He was one of those people who could dream in a power nap. He also noticed a strange man paying particular attention to the cherry tree, which held Hana. He stood up and approached this man.
“Hey you, yeah you, you seem to have taken an interest in this tree with my friend in it. What to you know about it? Can we get Hana, my friend, out of it?”
He stood their with serious eyes, as the sun made his cross glitter in the sunlight which as due to melt the sun if it kept up its warmth.

Huri felt the power that was in the roots and voice of the blossom, but he also knew that a tree need not a girl to live. It was righteous of the female to sacrifice herself, but in all earnesty could any noble creature such as the earth or living plant be as greed-stricken as this? Politely, Huri pursisted, hoping to understand enough to perhaps better understand the situation.
However, before he could inquire more an outside voice, rapped savagely upon his consciousness, and Huri quickly pulled himself away from the tree's living soul to confront the troubles of reality. What he found when his eyes once again saw the world, was not something that should or would anger him. The man, the one that had stayed upon the base of the tree, now briskly approached him. His words were sharp harried, almost demanding. Was this girl a relative of his, an associate... perhaps a lover...? Huri didn't know, nor was he going to ask. Politely, in a smooth expressionless tone, he insisted, "Patience please, sir. I do not know yet, it may or may not give her back."
Without waiting for an acceptance of his inclination, Huri dropped his gaze back towards the tree and once again fell out of himself, returning to the sod, back to the roots. Now he was again approached cautiously, unwilling to risk injuring to his own perceptive conscious, he now inquired, "Surely, then you can respect her free-spirit and repay her for this generosity. Why punish that which has done no wrong? Besides, surely a powerful presence such as yourself, need not the life of a small pitiful child to stay alive..."
He prodded, hoping to evoke a certain pride within the plant to coax him to releive itself of the girl. If she was truly keeping it alive... it may be harder than he hoped.
ooc: sorry, it's not that long. Didn't have much to say... muse was also running low.

The juices of the vines trickled down her flesh as they tightened their hold on Hana. The accusations and inquiries by the unknown soul made the tree insolent but slightly fearful. This mind, whomever it belonged to, was even-minded but also relentless. Hana too was fighting the tree mentally but from a different angle, begging and pleaing to speak with the one creature she supposed she'd see for the rest of her existence, and her existence would be a long one. Hana knew not who this man was, but she could hear through him, briefly, the world outside. The man however left and dismissed his connection with the tree for a brief time, bringing great distraught to the flower maiden, but no sooner he gone he returned again.
Surely, then you can respect her free-spirit and repay her for this generosity. Why punish that which has done no wrong?
Free spirit you say? This girl has wondered thy baren soil for a century now, this is not free spirit, only aimless behavior. The only freedom she possess is not to be bound the roots and the soil. This girl is meek; he blood that runs in her veins holds the powers older than I and yet she is ignorant nor hones thus powers. The God of Soil would have rejoyced to have her powers at his side, but nothing of the sort. Is she truly free when she purposely built the labyrinth in her mind to hold back all this she deemed unhappy? Young man, this girl will never know a thing of freedom, even if she has a usable humanoid form.
With diligent ears Hana absorbed every word she could hopefully grasp, these words echoing and replaying again and again for both her knowledge and mental stimulation. She thrust herself forward against her chains, whimpering pathetically in hopes of attracting this spectre could notice her and find a way to free her.
You must find Kyo and apologies for me. He suffers so, I can feel his heart breaking. He feels like a failure, this is not what this one wanted
"What you wanted, child? This is what you wanted. You used the words thy father passed down to you, the sacred words of his fallen people. Use this body to tame thy beast. In doing so you awaken me, Anshientsu, the ancient one. My vines shall squeeze the life of the vile creature you wanted to stop, the chiroptera capable of massacre, the one who would've murdered everyone in this village. Now you tell me what you want is to send word to a mere mortal? You warm me by bringing life to me, nothing more.
Besides, surely a powerful presence such as yourself, need not the life of a small pitiful child to stay alive..." Mortal, you test my patience, using flattery in hopes of stirring awake old pride. You wish me to free this girl, you ask so straight and honest, not through sly indirect means. I repeat again Use this body to tame this beast, the monster, whatever she had hoped to use me for That is the price for using the dark magic of her father's people. She is the catalyst that fuels me. Chiroptera are only killed by special slayers, she knew what she was getting herself into. Ah yes, little Hana has some intelligence. I can only petrify this monster and when centuries pass the chiroptera will awaken again, she hopes by then that the people here will be gone.Dark magic? The unknown something that was her father had worked with dark magic? Who had deemed it dark magic, Hana wondered, was it humans, demons, ghouls? Hana still tugged against her vines, though she knew she'd never escape this place. The sacrifice had been clear when Hana had recieved the incantation from her father. Although his words were brief, last resourt usually insinuated that her life would no longer be hers to have. A tear ran down the side of her pale face as she closed her eyes.
This body no longer belongs to me, this body belongs to Anshientsu until this chiroptera is petrified. This one wonders if she too shall be petrified, or will all my life be drained for you, will I age, and will Kyo ever be able to survive?I ask you questions now, sir; why did you come to me through this means of communication? Was it mere curiosity or do you actually wish to help free this meek flower? And now, what shall you do when the man beside you asks of your assistance to free her? Answer those when you see fit, those are merely for my own twisted curiosity, it isn't often I find any mortal that can speak to me.
The one true thing I wish to know is your name, good sir. This tree was cynical, yes truly cynical. One minute the tree was assaulting, her words daggers, another minute cool and sophisticated. If the tree wanted to know things, Hana wished it would ask her. Anshientsu also seemed to have selective hearing because this time she took no time to answer Hana's mental thoughts. Did the tree have an agenda of its own? From the outside nothing changed, the petals still fell like teardrops from Hana's eyes, internally the world of white was now more distinguished, with a relevant black sillhouette to take a physical form for the intruder.
"Please......hear me."

Patience? Kyo had no patience left in him. The one that gave his hope back was bound to a tree and this guy told him to have patience. Kyo rolled his eyes. He had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that the evil creature was stuck in the tree, as well as Hana, this guy looked like he understood the reason the tree was there, and he obviously knew something about it. Kyo stared at the man, looking him over. He looked like some type of government somebody. Every government somebody knew things.
The problem was that Kyo himself didn’t know a damned thing about the tree and he wanted to know, preferably now than later. He just wanted to know what was going on.
Kyo had nothing else to do except ponder to himself while this guy stared at the tree. He figured the man probably would not give him a straight answer about the tree. Kyo figured that if every person he tried to help died, he might as well off himself to stop from, in a sense, killing other innocent people that fell into his trap. But Kyo decided that that was not an option at the moment; that maybe there was still a little, teensy weensy, chance that somehow he could talk to Hana at least once more. After all, if he killed himself and Hana became free, she risked her life for him just to go drown or stab or whatever to himself in order to end his life.
Kyo decide, instead, to reproach this man, maybe a tad bit nicer than earlier. The man was polite enough. Kyo blew his too long bangs out from in front of his eyes, letting out a soft sigh. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the vial. Maybe he would know what was inside it. The liquid sparkled in one of the sun’s rays.
“Sorry, I think we got off on the wrong foot. I am not the nicest of people, but perhaps you would know what the contents are of this vial that I found where the Chirp---, that creature, originated from. It was chasing us **(pointing up to Hana)**and she risked her life after telling me, a mere mortal, to flee…”
He held out the vial so that the man could see. His voice choked at bit at the mentioning of Hana’s demise toward the end. Kyo just stood there, staring at the man.
O.O.C. Short post, but there is really nothing for me to do at the moment….

Huri was once again aware of a sensation back in life, above the soil. It was a muted sound, one he could not interpret nor comprehend in his current state. He did not want to appear rude, but the conversation between himself and this ancient plant was too intense now to be disconnected. He could do nothing with his body while he lingered, conscious to conscious with the tree, so he hoped for the man's forgiveness, but ignored his gestures. Mentally, he prepared himself for an explanation--but he hoped the unknown Kyo would remain vigilant, but patient.
Return his full attention back to the task at hand. Huri winced as the tree rebuted and scolded him for his attempts to spur its pride. He did not like being talked down to, it was not befitting to him--and he silently within the santuary of his own inner mind wished only for an axe. Though he already knew how unwise such a mood would be.
Gathering himself, he controlled his inner dislike for the creature before him and soldiered on, remaining cool in his voice, unriled, relentless, persistant, and unending. He feared the tree very little, afterall... it was just that. A tree... sure enough the chiroptera had fallen defeated, and he wondered if the brush before him was still capable for animated movement. He still wasn't too worried. Patience or not, Sata was a God's right hand, and was a force to be reckoned with... even an ancient being such as Anshientsu should respect the name. Yet, though Huri wished for nothing more than to throw out the name in a threatening gesture that was a last remark, however... Surely, if this girl was as powerful as the tree was supposing, perhaps Sata would in detail wish to see her. No doubt, it was a card that could perhaps, in all likelyhood be used to his advantage. He'd set his mind to free the girl, one way or another it would happen.
He moved in swiftly, carrying a voice that was persistant and unfading. Huri was going nowhere. "How can you blame the child for her ignorance when it is just that. Certainly you cannot expect her to hone something she has no knowledge of. Let her live again on her own and perhaps she will prove for more useful to Earth under the guidance of someone who knows both the land and the people. Surely Satazian would not approve of her ancient power falling to waste. She is perhaps your catalyst, but do you need her to live and take root? If not, I dare ask, release her for her betterment. You say she is incapable of freedom, let her go and we shall see."
He paused thinking over what he had left to say. The tree wished to know several things, that Huri almost--spitefully--did not wish to reveal. Yet, he knew and understood that to withhold these things would give the tree all the more reason to withhold the child. Finally he continued, politely answering the fickle thing.
"Huri; I am called Huri. And it is both which drive me to commune with you. No girl should suffer this fate. Besides, she is quite an unsightly thing, protruding from your bark, her heart exposed to the world. As for the man who stands near me, I know not... the scene is still too new."
Remembering Kyo on the other side, above the earth, abandoned in reality, Huri felt himself fall away momentarily, drawn to apologize, to interact with the man who looked for his help. However, Huri could not falter, and begrudgingly he turned his ear back upon the root of the great presence. Silently... as if many yons away, he felt her. The one they called Hana. He could not here her, could not see her. But he knew she was there, and she was still herself--trapped by Anshientsu, whom he was slowly beginning to believe was more of a curse than a savior. It was a grim thought, but if Anshientsu would not relinquish her soon. Huri would have no choice but to abandon her. He could not stay forever, he could not plead and he would not beg.

Huri. An interesting name. Though Hana felt slightly hurt when he referred to body in such a negative way. It wasn't her choice to be displayed in such an ugly form. The tree did what it had to. Hana felt bitterness as she glared at the shillouette that represented Huri. But at least Huri seemed to be on Hana's side, and wanted her freed. Hearing Sata's name brought her courage, because that was the very man that Hana had wanted to see the whole time.
Please...let me go
"How can you blame the child for her ignorance when it is just that.
Her labyrinth if the same as repressed memories. They exist, but she denies them within her. She has lived over a century now and has not the maturity to try and harness those powers. She would rather live in ignorant bliss, searching for "a special someone". Keh. I have no faith in this child. SHe has all the potential in the world but doesn't want it? She is a complete waste of time. But, for my body to exist in this domain, I need that dark blood you see, Huri. Once the beast is petrified I may rest again.
Hana managed just briefly to break the vines with her teeth to call out to Huri in the outside. She was unsure if her voice had any affect, but she needed to try. "I will train with Sataizan! I will stay with Huri and those people until I die, but please, let this one go! This one cannot stand this darkness, I cannot see at all, I am truly blind and alone here. Please! Let me out!
Quiet you damned hanyou. Huri, would the Lord of the Soil be able to train such a girl? She has no awareness of her own powers, nor the blood that runs through her veins. She is a hanyou with cursed blood. Her mother an elfen queen, and she the banished daughter. Her father was a man who sold is soil to the demons beneath the soil for ultimate strength, that blood which conjured me. The same blood that created the chiroptera she so desprately tries to slay through me. She knows not anything of combat, is flirtatious but unaware. Could this girl really serve an purpose where a war is only to kill? Would she not just feel the pain of the others, and pity them with her precious tears? You do know though, Huri, that if I let this girl go, she will most likely die within a day's span. It is still winter outside, and she is still of the plants. Her body is broken from its overuse, she has no form to hibernate in. No clothes, no sunlight to energize her, no water, no moon to heal her. Yet you still want to save her, a mere stranger to you? I see how you ignore the man outside. Just because her form disgusts you? I could very well hide her more with my thick vines, her heart only needs to see the outside, not inside of me. Tell me Huri, how far would you go to help little flower, little Hana?

Kyo thought he wouldn’t get a straight answer, but what he achieved was no answer. He tried to be firm, then polite. This man obviously did not like him and was ignoring him or maybe, just maybe, he could to have conversations with plants like Hana. Kyo mumbled a “fine don’t answer me back” to himself, maybe a little louder than he hoped. He flopped onto the ground right next to the man’s feet that way if he tried to leave without answering him, he could trip him.
He shook the tiny, glass bottle repeatedly, imagining that it was evil creature thing stuck in the tree. It didn’t take long before he realized he looked like a complete idiot who looked angry at a vial and that it was quite tiring and boring. He stood it up right it front of him so he could watch the liquid sparkle in the sun’s rays.
The breezes coming from behind him kept blowing his bangs into his face, but no matter how many times he blew them out of his sight did they just were blown back into his face. After this was all over, he was getting himself a haircut or doing it himself.
Kyo just sat there on the snowy ground, his arms crosses, pouting like a little boy who didn’t get his way. Every now and then he would out a soft sigh of frustration while he waited for the man to stop talking to the tree. At least Kyo hoped he was talking to it instead of just blankly staring at it. He didn’t care if he was getting his ass wet, he didn’t care about anything dealing with himself. He wished someone could teach him how to talk to the plants, that way he could know what they thought of him and he could give the tree a piece of his mind about everything going on.
Kyo was gonna push this man any further, he feared that he already that the man already thought that he was mentally unstable with he brief emotional episodes that he gets when he is a wreck. He just sat and waited, staring at the vial or the tree or the man, awaiting a reply while blowing his damn bangs out of his face.
O.O.C. Short again, but I am just a bystander in this dilemma…

"How far will you go to keep her?" he retorted quickly, leaving no time for hesitation to compromise his thoughts. He knew what he wanted, he wanted the girl and he was tired of playing these little games. He was not going to let the entity within the tree revolve around him and dance circles, twisting his words to give them meanings that did not exist.
He was glad to hear that the unknown Hana, was not a necessary accessory to this entity's survival. However, he was not deaf to her pleas either. It strengthened his persistance, and better fueled his irritation. She was only a girl. How could the tree expect her to act beyond her years. 100 years for some did not always demand maturity. Besides, she wanted to see Satazian, didn't that stand for anything...?
He grit his teeth and continued on, ignoring his own previous question as it was more rhetorical than anything else. Bitterly he continued, It is better to die than live enslaved, and yes... I do feel that the lord Satazian would be able to train her powers, whatever they may be. And do not underestimate the strength of these "mortals" that you look down upon so heavily. We too have strengths you do not know. Have faith, she will live within our care.
He paused again, contemplating his words and wondering over how they would be received. He was not worried about the death of the girl. If she was plantlike in her life, there were methods to save and nurture frozen flowers. Even his own magic could at times be used to help in the assistance, though it was more of an indirect math. Nonetheless, the tree did not know his capabilities or the capabilities of Satazian. Truly the man was intimidating and could be brisk. He too was more ancient than his years declared--though Huri knew nothing of that matter. Sata would not be incapable in assisting the... the hanyou.
Yet, though his words were slightly demanding, Huri could not help but review what the entity had said. Apparently she was meek, feeble in emotional strength. Her maturity would help attune that flaw, but Huri did wonder if a personality such as the tree described would be an advantage in war. War was not a pleasant thing, though Huri hoped it was not truly in the throws of present life--unfortunately, he also knew how delicate the balance truly was. Sata would know, Huri would not forsake her now.
"Her personality will develope with herself, give her a chance and we shall see. Release her, lest you suffocate that which is full of promise." Finally, Huri laid out the demand. He patiently, cautiously, awaited whatever responce might come.

The tree and Hana were at a mental standoff. Anshientsu pondered the advantages of releasing this girl from her binds. Hana was weak, and eternity with such a simple mind could be dreadfully boring. Perhaps it would be best to throw this worthless pile of potential aside. Then again, Anshientsu was curious to see how far Huri and the Lord would push her. The thrusts against the wines grew more desperate as the Huri filled Hana's mind with thoughts from the world outside. The two discussed Kyo as if he were insignificant, but Hana had traveled with this man, sacrificed herself for this man. Though she held no romantic tremblings in her body for Kyo, she still did not want him to feel unnecessary harm, by any means, if she was the cause especially.
Very well, I hope you know what you've set yourself up for. Beware of the days where the blind see.
The world outside began to rumble as the tree seemed to shake with life; the sakura petals fell from the trees as if all simulatenously decided it was time to fall, showering and flooding the cobblestone streets with the beautiful faded pink petals. A light of green, the green like Hana's blood, shot up through the trees and through her heart. The heart burst into a neon green light, blinding those who gazed upon it like a harsh sun's rays, and spread throughout the tree. Hana, both inside the tree and outside thrashed her head back and forth as she bellowed in pain, body arching against the vines as if she were placed under the most painful of spells.
Her bare skin was slowly overgrown with a moss like substance taking on the shape of a basic human leotard. Blood red eyes shot open, the green tears falling as two equal streams as her heart pumped loudly, the sound echoing around the bare branches. The chiroptera thrashed, long fangs coated in siliva, crying out wishing it could sink its deadly fangs into Hana's frail body. The mental Hana within Anshientsu faded from existence as the vines inside released her. The old tree chuckled as it too began to fade. Does it hurt little flower maiden? I'm speeding up the process, almost triple the speed, but I must pull the energy from you all at once. Your soul is cracking and shattering as we speak, can you feel it, ripping you apart, the overwhelming ache, the heat and burns? A few more minutes, can you survive that long, little hanyou? Huri, I leave you this shell of a girl, and a piece of my soul with her. If she cannot be a solider, you must only utter the same words that bound her to me prior. The chiroptera is only petrified and will awake once again, I hope you're prepared for those consequences, it will be sleep for a far less amount of time than planned because of my haste. The screams grew and gave no sign of lessening as Hana contorted in ways no normal humanoid should be. Although the moss grew the sounds of flesh ripping was evident in the air and in her motions. The green glow spread throughout the trees, focusing in on the chiroptera who's screams too were escalating to all new levels.
"Kyo, make it stop! Make it stop!" she screamed in pain, unable to locate him in the chaos of her mind. It was still winter. Within Anshientsu Hana could not feel anything, but now, back on the real side, her sense were becoming overwhelmed with feelings; the cold of the winter, the breeze, the lack of communication with any other plant besides Anshientsu, the overwhelming fear of darkness, the pains in her body, her soul ripping, her body deteriorating, the vines slacking, and the wicked scowl she knew Anshientsu was wearing. Another scream ripped through her throat, leaving it raw.
Suddenly, there was silence. The chiroptera's movements ceased as it's flesh seemed to transform into a petrified stone, the vines releasing the creature. The chiroptera fell, causing the civilans below to scream and run for shelter in a panic. It fell through the floor and back into the hole where Hana and the chiroptera had originally appeared from. Hope I didn't break you, little hanyou. Prove your existence here. Goodnight Her body fell forward, unconscious, her body fell and crashed into the bumps of the trunk and roots as she descended to the ground. Hana managed consiousness enough to hold her arms out like a bird's wings, causing her to flutter and spin to the ground like a maple seed falls, children calling them "propeller seeds". She spun, head drooped, green moss for clothes making her more than bearable, the rest of her body covered in the green cracks. There was no more blood, it seemed like her body didn't have any left to spare, but the wounds still glowed the neon green. Her chest cavity had been closed up, hidden beneath the moss, but on occassion her heartbeat was still visible beneath the thin substitute for clothes.
Finally her body hit the ground, disappearing into the ocean of petals, laying limp against the remains of the snow. Anshientsu slowly retreated back into the earth, the tallest of branches pulled back into the base of the trunk, the trunk shrinking until it vanished beneath the wave of petals, shrinking back into the depths of Hana's body until it was once again called upon. Anshientsu would now and forever remain dormant in Hana's body until the words were chanted again, a piece of the demon tree's "soul" enfused into the young girl's without her knowing. A last resort, as her father had promised. Hana twitched her hand gently, opening her eyes, as if to look at her hand like any normal person would, "Kyo...Huri....I...." her eyes closed again and consciousness left her one final time. Her body was weak and battered, the only person who could possibly help her was the Lord of the Soil.

Kyo sat in the same area, rolling one of his throwing knives between his fingers. His head rested upon one of his hands. Fed up with one of the strands of hair, he cut it off, not really caring if you could notice it had been in haste or not. Of course with his hairstyle, you really couldn’t tell there was any actual length, being as it always looked like he rolled right out of bed (even though this time he actually didn’t bother to comb his hair after his little meltdown escapade).
He left his gaze from the man and looked down Hana, way up in the tree. The pink blossoms and their leaves drifted down to earth, a pink rain shower. One landed on top of his head. He examined it before blowing it away to rest with the others that had fallen, blending in. Before returning his immediate attention from the blossom, which could no longer be found, to Hana, a bright green light had shown its way through the sun. Luckily, Kyo was not looking into the rays at that moment. He knew this color, though. It was the color of that object which had caused himself so much grief, though this type was its complementary: green, not red. This was the color of Hana’s blood. He looked up towards her, not seeming to care or notice of the light diminished, faded, or grew brighter.
Something was happening, though he could not exactly see what. His vision impaired from the light. Kyo could only tell that her once pale skin was becoming green, why or from what he did not know. He felt his heart sink in fear of his friend. Had the green become angry and decided to kill the girl? Was it releasing his friend?
Then, he heard her, Hana, his only friend. She had screamed his name, telling him to stop it. Stop what? He could only see that she was in some type of distress. Little dots still in front of his from that light. The knife he was twindling, fell to the ground as he jumped into the air, staring at her. He stood there, once again, useless. He could not help her. Her screams pierced his ears as he thought back to all those other screams of those who had died who lingered in his heart. Their pictures flashed through his memory: mother, Emi…even those he had seen but not known. All those he felt despair for, those he missed, those he loved, those who had given him hope, those who he cared for.
He whispered so only he could hear it… “After all this, this tree cannot be the one to finish you…”
Then, he heard the screams of the citizens of this tiny town. He looked around, frantically. That chirp-o-thingy fell, frozen, back into that tunnel. Without any consciousness of what he was doing he screamed.
“What the fuck is going on?! I need to help and yet I stand here useless!”
He looked back up, and saw it: Hana’s body falling toward him. Before he could catch her, she had already landed onto the roots of the trees. As he ran, the tree vanished. He got close enough to see her open those red eyes and say his name. At least she was alive, she remembered him, but before he could say one word, her eyes had closed. He ran up along side of her, kneeling onto the ground. He knew what the green was now: moss. It was awkward seeing her like this. Those wounds he had tried so hard to prevent now no longer bled. A single tear of happiness rolled down his cheek. Even though she looked at if she had been in battle zone, she was there. He stroked her hair.
“My friend, my hope, returned to me. We’ll find you help…we will…”
He turned toward the direction the man, shouting softly to the man whom never answered his questions.
“She needs help. The only way I think it the Lord of Soil. We were headed out to find him until this incident. Her body is beaten and bruised and cannot withstand cold.”
Slowly and very carefully, he lifted Hana up into his arms. He still wanted answers, wanted to know what had happened and what was going to happen now. He wanted to know who this man was. So many questions ran throughout his mind, yet the only thing that seemed to matter was Hana. He thought this man was the key, yet he could be wrong. At least now he could help. He walked slowly back toward the man, through the leaves and blossom of the shade of tickle-me-pink.

Huri did not linger long to hear the ancient entities last beckons. He heard the ominous proficy, but ignored its warnings. He was perhaps less worried than he should be, but this new and strange situation was not--he believed--outside of the Master of Soil's control and influence. Sata was a powerful man indeed, and many did not give him the credit he deserved. Huri had been one of the few to see Satazian in his feirce glory, at some of his grandest and most potent moments. In truth, Huri was glad he was of earth. Borran's ancient lord was formidable indeed, and Huri had all the faith in the world, that Sata could shed some light on this predicament and put a settle to its issues.
The tree's release echoed inside his thoughts, as he suddenly heard the... hanyou... scream. Her screams filled his mind and shattered against the walls of his conscience. He withdrew his hold and cut off her inner turmoil from his own. It was painful, and Huri knew it would do no good to anyone for him to become trapped inside the warped descension of the seperation. Standing now, he opened his eyes, fully aware of the sudden world around him.
Light, bright and blinding reared towards his head, as he stood basking in its omnipresence. Yet, he did not flinch, did not falter. He'd seen stranger things, and merely looked away to avoid severe damage to his ocular vision. The girl's screams soon became audible even to life outside the grand tree, and Huri still did not flinch or cringe. He'd heard such screams before, pain was not a new concept to the calm and methodical man. Soon enough, Hana was before them, covered in a strange set of cloth, weaved of moss, but here nonethless. He watched thoughtfully as Kyo gathered the girl up in his arms. Huri cared for her safety, but he saw a generosity in the man that Huri presently did not possess for little Hana. He had done what he could, now he needed to finish his established quest and keep in mind the chirpotera.
He motioned to Kyo, heeding the man's words, but Huri already knew as the intentions mirrored his own. "Down the street there is a barracks, and a greenhouse beside it. Allow her into the greenhouse, it is warm there, and the plants there still live. Perhaps the atmosphere there will help give her a little more life before we make are stead. Meanwhile, I have business that I must briefly attend. I shall return for you in short time, then we shall head towards Saverin." his words were brisk, but not devoid of kindness, but he was also seriously pondering this sudden turn of events. He now had a girl, who apparently would not survive the harsh cold... The journey would be hard and they would need to move fast, plus he wanted to leave orders with the posted guard to start evacuations of the city. Move them farther towards the plains.
The gravity of the situation was finally beginning to settle in, and Huri could not afford to remain too sentimental. Both Kyo and Hana were now under his protection and influence and it was now his responcibility to see them to Saverin. Initially, he was thinking he would only really have Hana to worry about, but it seemed reletively obvious that Kyo was not going to leave her.
Huri waited, his eyes looking intently into Kyo's, awaiting the responce. Would the man head his direction and wait in the greenhous. Huri preyed they would. It would certainly be inconvenient if he were to return and they were gone.

Her body still quaked from the pain, every so often she would shift in Kyo's arms, lips parted for small cries of pain. The lacerations on her body were without blood, but still exposed to the air, practically begging for infection to swarm. Most of the wounds on her face had no been surrounded by bruise, she was an unwelcoming sight for anyone who still passed by. Hana was very much unconscious in Kyo's arms, but her mind was still active, trying to piece together the incrypticed messages the tree had left her and Huri with. In her desperate attempt to free herself she had willingly signed herself to be in the army, what good would a wilted flower do for any of them? Hana considered running away, but her body could still feel the cold of winter. Yes, the cold, buried beneath the beautiful petals ugly still remained. Toes, fingertips, all the sensory nerves heightened from the pain, aware of the world outside, but unable to keep the girl conscious. The tree had implanted a piece of it's soul in hers, causing a tempest within the inner chi of her body. The girl arched in Kyo's arms, her fingers instinctively gripping his shoulders as she cried out. Her unconscious body now laid in their hands, one man who wished to save her, the other who had come because of duty. Kyo would try his hardest to save her life, but in the end, it was Huri, who knew nothing of her or the pains and travels, who really held her the outcome of her fate.

As Kyo walked back to the man, he heard Hana moan in pain. There was nothing he could do for her. This was not is his power; he knew nothing. The greenhouse seemed to be a good idea. He knew Hana couldn’t withstand the cold and he was getting chilly too. He usually wore his cloak that he gave to Hana, which---wait, where was his cloak? There was nothing he could do about, just something else he’d have to buy.
“I shall go there and await you. You seem to be the key to here survival. I know not what is happening, but I will follow your orders, sir.”
Kyo hated that word ‘sir.’ It seemed so formal, yet so right to acknowledge this man as ‘sir’, besides Kyo didn’t know his name. Kyo turned away from the man and walked toward the greenhouse. Kyo and Hana must have been a strange sight. Kyo, dressed in all black, wearing a sleeveless shirt with snow on the ground, carrying the girl, now covered in moss, who had just been in the tree.
He could feel her gripping his bare shoulders. It didn’t hurt that much. He could tell when a burst of pain came into being, as the grip grew tighter. He thought as he traveled. Who was this man? Where was he going to take them? So many unanswered questions. While being lost in thought, he reached the greenhouse. He could see the plant life thriving inside it. As he opened the door, he was glad to see that it was deserted for the time being from people. It warm inside, a little too warm for his liking, but it was better than being out in the chill.
Kyo picked a spot to rest, a spot wearing the sun shown in and no plants were near the wall. He wasn’t just going to let the suffering girl by herself. He sat down, leaning Hana into him. He felt so useless. First, he couldn’t help at all in the previous dilemma, then he couldn’t help with the tree, and now he couldn’t help ease the pain. In all three situations, he was probably just in the way. He hated seeing her suffer so much. Was she better off in that tree? Had she been suffering like she was now?
Kyo remembered all of the things that he had collected from their adventure into the underground that now sat in his hotel room. All of his belongings except his weapons, money, and the vial sat in there. He probably would never see them again. Maybe the key to defeating that thing was in those diaries. He doubted that the other man would believe his tale or let him fetch his things. He thought about leaving Hana by herself, letting an official of the town know about Hana while he went by himself. Then he thought about the chance that the man would leave without him or about leaving his friend alone.
Kyo had decided that the right way; he would stay here. Kyo laid his one hand on Hana’s upper back, the one rest on the ground. He waited for the man who would help Hana. He stared out the window into the snow-covered field outside the town watching the untouched layer glitter in the sunlight. This was the first winter where he didn’t play in the snow. The snow was fun to mess around with, but more beautiful unscathed.

Master. Master. Wake up, master.
Her body stirred once it was exposed to the humidity within the greenhouse. This dome thrived from the warmth caught within its confines, the warmth of the sun without the rays. Her body could feel it, that magic that pumped life into her hanyou form. She twisted in Kyo's arms gently, the green in her open sores reacting. Hana fought through the fog of unconsciousness to finally hit the real world. She noted how heavy her body felt, how much effort it took to merely flex her fingers, to breathe.
Come and drink with us, Master. Come and drink our water. Let us heal you, save you, Master.
She awoke, eyes opened. The red hue of her eyes was slightly lackluster, still toxicated by the drain the god tree put on her along with her lack of healing. But slowly, slowly, faded light began to fill her eyes, outlines, as if an artist took her view as canvas, began to sketch in the world she lived in. It started with the glass ceiling of the greenhouse, the wall divided up into square sheets, the plants some trees, bushes, flowers, and others, and finally Kyo. She found that she was leaned into his frame, her senses picking up on the hand that rested on her back and the pressure he was forcing into the ground to maintain the position he was currently in. Hana blinked. Sight. The greenhouse with living plants gave her back her sight. Hana sat up quickly.
"Kyo?" Though her actions seemed quick to a basic recovered comatose, her movements were sluggish most likely in Kyo's eyes. She settled herself upright in his lap, trembling hands cuffing the sides of his face. Her fingers were timid, but slowly the digits traced patterns over his cheeks and face. "You are still here, still alright. This one is so glad you're okay," her voice was cheerful despite the frailty of it and the tears the lined her eyes. Hana took her time studying his face, she could see him now, the outlines of his eyes, nose, ears, hair, and lips. She took her time studying him, running her index finger over each lip curiously yet gently.
The exhaustion quickly caught up to Hana and she dropped her hands from his face. For a small while she remained still, relearning to deal with balance and gravity. Sounds filled her pale ears; Kyo's breathing, a running stream, the plants undergoing photosynthesis. Squirming from Kyo's lap she crawled to her hands and knees, steadying herself until she stood on her two feet. "This one needs a drink. Just a little drink." She took two steps and was immediately on the ground again, hands spread out in front of her to absorb most of the shock. She turned her head back to Kyo and smiled, "Can I ask you a favor, please, Kyo? Can you help this one to the water? I can heal myself now, with the warmth and the water. Please?"
Master. Master. Only a few more steps, Master.

Huri moved with a deliberate swiftness that covered quick ground. He had left Kyo to the greenhouse, hoping that the pair would still be near when he returned. The guardhouse was not far, located on the far end of the city, it's tall brigade stood as a testiment to the earthen militant strength. The guards welcomed him with their usual brawl, but he was brisk with them, and they grumbled at his rudeness as he walked past them. The General of this town stood back in the corner house, a militia's supply storage, where he had busied himself counting rations to be sent out on the next scout. Word of the tree had already reached him, and he wanted regimes sent out to scour the terrain for any other unsightly visitors.
Huri interrupted him with a knock, and relayed what his conversation. His duty was soon done, and he wasted no time in returning to the greenhouse. A small collegiate of people had begun to gather curiously within the streets. Wishing for answers that Huri could give, but would not. It made his journey a slower passing, but in due time, he was once again on the threshold of the warm building.
Behind it's glass containment he could barely see the pair inside--such condescation from the humidity had left a frosted film of water on the inside of the pairs. Taking a sudden breath, Huri opened the door hurriedly and ushered himself inside, preparing his body for the shock of the temperature change. Releasing a heavy sigh, he breathed in the warm air and let it fill him with a contented breath before his eyes roamed for the two charges. It seemed that Hana had already begun to feel better, as Huri spotted her in her attempts to reach the water. It would seem he had been right. This atmosphere was much more suitable for her, and therefore the stress of moving her along lessoned gradually. He settled himself into a chair by the door, ready to guard it should some unexpected visitor wish to tend to the greenery. It didn't need disturbing now. Let the girl rest and revitalise, then they would move.
"There is no rush, take your time. When you are ready we will hit the road to Saverin." he spoke calmly from his seat. His words were void of much emotion. He had no ties to this pair. There was nothing for him to really feel beyond his general responcibility and duty. If either of them expected sentiments from his direction, they wouldn't get much. He certainly didn't know either one of them enough to socialize.
ooc: sorry, it's kindof a crap shoot. My muse was kindof in the crapper, lol

A rousing in his arms interrupted his gaze. Kyo thought that it was just another movement from pain so he continued to look into in the snow. It wasn’t until she sat up and said his name did he actually realize that Hana had awoken. He noticed her red eyes first.
“Hmm?”
That was all he could manage to get out before Hana was tracing his features, like making sure he wasn’t imaginary and in one piece. He sat still, letting her to whatever she was doing only now both of us hands were propping him up. He intently watched her. He felt that weight lift off his chest, as now he knew that she was okay.
“Of course I am still here. Do you think I’d leave you after all we’ve gone through? I shouldn’t be the one to worry about now. That’s you. You scared me.”
He ran a hand through her hair. He was filled with happiness. She was recovering faster than he would ever have. Maybe it had something to do with her special abilities with the plants. He didn’t care, as long as she was okay. Before he protest, she was out of his lap, attempting to stand.
“Maybe you should---“
Before he could finish, she was already on the ground. He gave her the credit for trying, but after someone who just went through that kind of issue, she was depending too much on herself and not enough on those around her. As he stood up, he heard the door creak open and close. He hoped it wasn’t a civilian. To their luck though, it was the man who told him to come here. He still had questions for him, but now was not the time to press them. Right now he needed to help Hana, who lay on the ground, staring at him.
He watched, as the man didn’t come over to help or ask how Hana was, but sat in a chair guarding the door. This was going to be one interesting trip the three of them were going to have to travel. Deep inside, Kyo seemed to know that at one point he would lose his cool. For now he just had to try to act normal. Kyo assumed that the ma’s statement was directed more toward Hana than to himself, if it was directed to him at all. He turned his attention back to Hana.
“All you had to do was ask me…”
He scooped her up into his arms. He walked towards the official, thinking that maybe Kyo should notify him of those diaries he found in the abandoned town. Maybe they could use them to figure out anything to do with the situation.
“Sir, I found things from the abandoned town and they are in my hotel room if you wish to use them for something.”
He faintly cringed as he said that word, yet it was still the only word he could call this man by 'sir.'That was all he could say with an even voice. He stared down at Hana.
“Which way is this water source, Hana?”
He couldn’t hear any water source, nor see far. The humidity was getting to him. His senses always seemed to dull in the heat.
o.o.c….my muse was seriously lacking today…bleh…

“Of course I am still here. Do you think I’d leave you after all we’ve gone through? I shouldn’t be the one to worry about now. That’s you. You scared me.”
His kind words and gentle caress of her hair brought color to her cheeks, not that she'd know that. It touched her that despite her own doings by sending him away Kyo had worried for her. In her mind Hana mentally weighed which was more tolling, her own sacrifices and pains, or being a spectator to the sport. Her thoughts crashed apart when the plants informed her of oncoming person, Huri she figured. The door opened and she was informed she could take her time in healing. There was such a polar difference between Huri and Kyo. Hana so desperately wanted to speak with Huri, he was someone else who knew the world of the plants that she thought was souly hers. Kyo however, was kind, and she wished to tell him of the world he'd not understand, merely for the comfort and amiable nature he provided her.
Now in Kyo's arms, she wondered when he had gotten so strong. Maybe her own body felt weak, or in earlier times Kyo had just been a comical companion, but something seemed different. Maybe he was weighed down with new wisdom. Hana listened as she was carried, brought to Huri. The new of items found within the home was new to her, during those times Kyo had been exploring Hana had been resting from the winter frost. Perplexity overcame her face briefly, she wished to know too the contents Kyo had put under Huri's vigilance but didn't dare to inquire. There was a change in Kyo's aura, she could feel it, this severe reserve, as if holding back. There was a tense shift in his body, stiff muscles and bones. Why did Huri affect him so? Maybe that connection Hana knew the two had upsetted Kyo, that Kyo could not save her, but that man had to argue with the god tree.
Kyo was cold and brief. She could feel his gaze upon her as he asked for directions to the water. As she extended an arm a neraby vine grew and laced around one of her fingers. IT showed her the blueprint of the room as she closed her eyes. "Go straight then take a left, its almost in the farthest west corner," she pointed weakly. Her body reminded her that she was still weak, feeling a sharp pain run up to her fingertips. Snuggling her cheek into his chest she listened to the sound of his heartbeat. Hana would never again forget how valuable her remaining senses were, for the eternal darkness was the most dreaful thing she'd ever experienced.
The vine removed itself from her hand and that hand found Kyo's and rested it upon her. She didn't want to make it difficult to carry her, but she found herself gently grazing his fingers as she closed her eyes. "This one is sorry she frightened you. I am. I just didn't want you to get hurt. This one knew she could prevent your harm and destruction, I was willing to do it. I could not stand by and watch you try and save this wilitng flower. That and, the chiroptera would have devoured the villagers, now it shall be dormant for a long time."
She closed her eyes and released his hand, "I'm glad to be here, released. This one, didn't think she would be allowed back. I'm sorry, I would've willingly broken my promise to come back to you, Kyo."

Huri noted Hana's movements as Kyo gathered her up--supporting her weight--as he then moved towards Huri by the door. The young soldier wasn't sure what to make of the guesture--thinking that they were already ready to go, he looked at them puzzled until Kyo stopped nearby to offer a few words.
Huri listened intently, trying piece together the importance of these said artifacts, but he was really rather blind to their significance and couldn't understand what use they really had. "I don't know if I understand their significance in this matter..." he offered gently. His words were brisk but not devoid of generosity, or harsh in any manner. He was a soldier--enough said.
He searched Kyo's face, remembering that the young man had offered a vial earlier, and still then Huri had no idea of its importance. Beyond what he'd seen, he had no idea that the situation went deeper than his now present duty to usher Hana to Master Satazian. The tree had crippled that demonic creature, and the town would soon be ushered to a new location. Huri couldn't imagine how there could be more componants to the scenerio than what he presently faced.
Yet, Kyo didn't linger long, already he was attempting to find the young Miss Hana water. Huri knew where it was, and he had begun to take a breath to offer his assistance, but before her could even stutter... Hana had already seemed to locate it's essence towards the back of the enclosure.
Huri settled back once again, sighing within himself as a restlessness began to stir within his system. He'd told them to take there time, but nonetheless he felt a fast desire to see them off, so that he could return to the life that was familiar to him. With the war lingering nearby along the borders, it left an unpredictability in the air that Huri would love to see vanish. He missed the days when border patrols were few and far between, a small necessity in a peacefully dormant Algaësia. Now, like a restless volcano, Algaësia threw threatening moments at her inhabitants from every angle--some worse than others.
In his present state of idle passing, he felt a curiosity twirk at his conscious. Hana had been one with the tree, surely she had been able to hear him as he had eventually heard her. He wondered at how close she was to being as the plants were. It were as though she was a tree herself, merely animate and with a voice.
Gently he tried to reach her as he would any vessal. His magic needed a soil base, so it was odd for him to descend his magical intellect into the warm sod beneath him to search out her, a living humanoid... but perhaps he could talk to her. He didn't want to interupt them now, as they meandered back towards the water. "Hana? If you can hear me... can you tell me...? Will you be well enough to make the journey? It will take two days to reach Saverin from here." Huri was human, and incapable of telekineses. However, if she was of the plants and more plant than human, perhaps he could communicate with her just as he had the cherry blossom.

Kyo had heard the soldier respond to his earlier statement. He just shrugged his shoulders in a ‘whatever’ motion, not wanting to speak to the man again. Kyo was farther away from the man before his body relaxed. Kyo felt useless, minuscule next to him. He was afraid that he’d be just extra baggage on this upcoming journey. It would probably be easier if he just stayed behind, but he didn’t want to leave Hana. She was his friend.
He didn’t mind Hana snuggling against him. Emi used to that. His mind flowed back into reality as his hand met Hana’s. This affected carrying none. To him, she was light. Her words touched him.
“In my short lifetime, I have already lost too many of those who I cared about, who I loved. Then when I saw you, in that tree, my world came crashing down again. I thought I had lost you too. Another friend gone because of me. I made a promise to myself a long time ago to become stronger so I could protect those for whom I cared about in some shape or form. I couldn’t protect you…”
Kyo made the left turn. He carried Hana closer to him now as a gesture of a hug. He noticed that Hana wasn’t as skittish about contact between them as she had once been.
“Sometimes we have to act on our better judgement, even if it includes breaking promises and hurting others. In the end, we understand the reasons behind our actions. I am very glad you’re here with me, though.”
He walked in silence the rest of the way to the water source. He began to hear the gurgling of the running water. When he reached the water, Kyo sat Hana down next to it before he bent down and splashed his face with the cool water. It felt good as it trickled down from his face to his neck. There was such a temperature difference from inside the greenhouse to outside, where snow lay on the ground. He drank a few handfuls before he nestled down about a foot and a half from Hana.
“Just let me know when you’re ready to head back to that man.”
He propped himself up on his arms again. He stared up at the ceiling, up at the unreachable sky. If only he could reach sky. Of all the oddities in this land, he was on of the weakest. There are demons could can manipulate fire, water, or wind; people who can talk to plants; those with wings for whom the sky isn’t unreachable; those with power; and what was he? A mere human, a useless, powerless human who couldn’t even protect another human. There was so much he wanted to change about himself. He wanted to be stronger, more useful, maybe even have some kind of power. Right now, he could barely hit a target head on with his bow and arrow.
Yet, at this moment, even though he wanted to change so much about himself, there was nothing he wanted to change about his life at this precise moment. His smile, which had faded, had made its return appearance upon his pale face.

I thought I had lost you too. Another friend gone because of me.
Her words put a strange weight on her heart, one she was not that accustomed to. The grip on his hand tightened lightly, her eyes closing to continue listening to his relaxed heartbeat. "Kyo, you must know, that this one will do anything for you. You are this one's only friend in the entire world, and I will willingly sacrifice everything for you. This is of my own free will, so never ever be burdened by this one's actions, please never take that unwaranted guilt upon yourself. This one only wants you to smile, be happy."
There wasn't much Hana could do to explain to Kyo what he was to her, for she had no proper title for him other than friend. The flower maiden had wandered the barren planet along for so long. She no longer belonged to the land of the elven tribe, her mother long deceased, and father she knew not of; Hana was alone. Then, here on her journey she had met Kyo, this curious boy who at the beginning hadn't even known she was blind. HIs disposition had been nothing but loyal and compassionate. She wished she could imprint her thoughts in his mind, where the emotions and processes were not fogged by deciphering words into a human language. There was something more carnal and real about emotion, not word, not even action.
The sound of the rushing brook brought a new kindling hope to Hana's insides. Although her wounds bled none, her inner self still ached. The girl had been tapped of all her energy, just grateful to still have the communication with the plants. She figured the god tree had allowed her this communication so she too, in her slumbering state, could watch Hana and snatch her back up anytime she felt like. The water and the warmth would soon tend to her wounds, she hoped, that was what always had happened after all. However, the extent of these wounds and the amount of energy tapped from her body brought unease. It was a gift to borrow the healing powers of nature, and Hana feared she had upset them all by not joining them in the winter's slumber. But these plants lived within the greenhouse, she assumed they knew not of the winter slumber because of the heat that kept them alive.
Now down on the ground Hana listened to Kyo splash the water, some of the stray beads hitting her face. She listened to the sounds of his throat contracting as water slipped past his lips. His demeanor, his presence, all were so calming. She felt so-----
Hana? If you can hear me... can you tell me...?
The flower maiden froze. Her eyes trembled. Never had a voice reached her this way before. It had not the ancient tone, it spoke on the same wavelength the plants did, but his voice was torrid but impersonal. Strands of her lavendar hair covered her eyes. Now ignoring the stream, momentarily, she sat back, hands weaving their way through the stalks of grass.
'This one....can hear you.'
Hana realized slowly, that this voice she had known. While in the darkness of the god tree, it had been this voice that bargained to save her life. It was Huri.
'Huri, you....it was you who saved me, wasn't it, Huri?'
Will you be well enough to make the journey? It will take two days to reach Saverin from here.
Hana slowly stood up in the grass, trembling, knees practically ready to buckle, as she waded out into the brook. The water wasn't that deep, it was only a few feet wide as well. At the deepest point it came up only a little bit past her knees. Slowly she kneeled down into the water, the water splashing up to her rib cage. Her back was to Kyo, her front concealed from his few. The moss that had been her clothes slowly evaporated in the water, revealing to Kyo the extent of the damange she had taken during their exploits in the underground city. Some of the wounds were raw and screamed of pain, others merely lacerations. Her body now had formed some bruises. Overall, Hana looked like as if she'd been through a lot. On her back were also faint marks from pervious healings, some scars that despite her powers, had never disappeared. It was rumored that those wounds came from her father, from his blood.
Jade plant, dumbcane, english ivy, many plants grew within the moving brook. The current wasn't strong enough to pull these plants down far enough. Sensing a sister of theirs the ivy wrapped themselves around her left hand, weaving between her fingers as if to make many rings. Her right hand held her bosoms in place, to keep them from wandering eyes although there were no other people in the area. Despite her naive nature and battle wounds, Hana was a beautiful girl, and had encountered many lustful men on her journey, all of which had scared her, but had spared her when the forest attacked the men. Modesty was something she knew, hiding all womanly aspects was something she knew. Hana thought it was best to be as unattractive as possible, to be left alone in her isolation so that only her special someone would find her beautiful.
'The winter air will not be good for this one, Huri, but this one does not want to burden you any longer. You have no desire to be here, I am merely a hanyou vagabond under your watch.'
Hana bowed her head as if in prayer, ' Please my friends, this one needs your help. This one is hurt' She didn't know if Huri heard that plea or not, but the plants did. Soon the water around Hana rumbled, disrupting the tiny current it possessed. The water glowed the neon green that her blood did, filling the greenhouse with the light, and slowly began the process of reconstructing her body.
"Don't be afraid, Kyo," Hana whispered slowly. "This one knows that the last time she healed herself in your presence it was small and barely noticeable. They have to work hard to pull me back from wilting." Hana winced lightly as the lacerations on her feet slowly began to seem shut.
She let out a small moan of pain. 'Huri, this one thinks she'll be well enough to travel. This one doesn't mind a few more days of pain. This one has put everyone through enough trouble that a few frozen pains will be bareable Hana wondered if Huri could heal himself like she was. He too had a connection through the forest. She wanted him to see how beautiful and generous the Earth was to her.

Kyo saw that Hana freeze. He didn’t know why, but before he could ask if anything was wrong, she was messing with the grass. He figured she just wanted to be reacquainted with her plant family. He relaxed a bit more, lying on his back on the ground. It felt to stretch a bit in a warm area rather than his previous stops. Kyo had heard her stand up and walk out into the water.
Sitting up to make sure that she was able to make her way in the water safely, he noticed all of the scars that covered her, from recent to ancient. He wondered how one being could endure so much physical pain. He overcame physical pain, but his worst pains weren’t physical or healed easily, these pains were from his heart. His body had its share of scars, most hidden beneath clothing, except that one on his arm. He admires that scar as it brings back many good memories.
Kyo watched as ivy wrapped itself around her hand. It intrigued him how Hana could manipulate plants in her ways. She really was connected with them. He didn’t realize he was staring until the water started to move. Then it turned green. He felt his eyes grow bigger in fascination and fright. What was Hana doing? It wasn’t just the water that turned a vivid green, but the roof reflected the color and filled the entire atmosphere with the bright green. This was the first time he had seen the color, but he couldn’t quite place in it his mind at this moment.
“Don’t be afraid Kyo…” That really didn’t stop his from being scared by the odd color of the water. Water should never be able to turn that shade of a color. He knew that it was for Hana’s own good, but it still was weird. He would never step foot in water that looked like it had been tampered with. Kyo noticed some of the wounds on Hana’s body close up. Kyo could hear Hana complaining lightly from the pain.
Kyo tried to relax a bit, but it was kind of hard to when the color of the green water was everywhere. He tried to think about something else. How long had it been since he had taken a bath? How long would this trip take? Would he be able to keep his mouth shut and not let Huri know how much Kyo disliked him? That struck an idea into his mind. Huri was strong; maybe he could help Kyo become stronger. Maybe strong enough to help those he cared about. Maybe train him in ways Kyo himself could not think to do himself. In his mind, Hana had more than he. She was the one who defeated the monster, she was the one who helped him conquer the cold, and she was the one who brought him back from the dark side and his appalling ways of life. He couldn’t do anything, couldn’t even make a mark on the monster or hold himself together in the end. The only problems with the plan were that Kyo had to do more than attempt to be nice to Huri and Huri had to agree.
“Hana, are you feeling better? You look much better, not that I am staring or anything. Also, I was thinking…. maybe while you’re becoming stronger, maybe I’ll try to become stronger too. Maybe even strong enough to help those I care for. And as for the water, it is kind of freaking me out a bit? I mean is it suppose to do that?”
He could hear in his own voice that he was bit happier now that he had a plan, he just wasn’t sure how to ask Huri and he didn’t want to slow anyone else down.
OOC: I am a bit rusty. Okay more than a bit. Also, major lack of muse. Life is just so terribly hectic. In…desperate…need…free…time…

[[well, I was expecting Sata to continue the thread but I will on account of my boredom]]
The disturbances in the water slowly ceased and the flow of the creek was properly restored. The only disturbance remained Hana's own presence, her legs cause minor roadblacks for the water. She slowly, spreading her arms out for balance, made her way back onto the shore. The leavy vegetation that had just moments ago reconstructed her body seemed to disappear into seemingly nothingness. When she finally made it to the shore it was then she had heard Kyo speak to her.
Hana sat down on the grass as she responded, "This one is better." She ran her hands over her face, as if to look at the newly formed hands or her newly fixed face, it wasn't obvious which it was. "But this one has used much of her energy storage, this one is grateful. This box that lets the flowers grow was mere luck for this one, if it had no been here, this one would have died. When we continue this journey this one will have no such luxuries, this one's life came very close to ending." Hana leaned forward, tucking her hands under her knees and brought her legs close to her chest.
"This one thinks that Kyo can become strong if he desires it. But this one is not strong, Kyo, this one in cursed. This one's abilities and powers come from somewhere she does not understand. Soemf rom her mother, others this one is unsure of."
"The water changes green like this one's blood. This one's powers react with that of natures, the green is nature's response. It was talking to me, and healing me, Kyo. It was supposed to happen. I am their sister, their daugther, and their princess. The plants will do what they can to protect me. This is why this one hates the winter, everyone leaves, there is no one to talk to or help. This one is weak, she depends on others."
Finally Hana stood again and turned to where she'd last heard Huri's voice come from. "Come Kyo, we must go find Huri. We must cooperate with this new person, this one owes him her life." She held out a hand to Kyo, not sure where he was, but hoped he'd take her hand. "Come," she said again softly, "Everything will be better now."
