Name: Kagami (means 'mirror')
Gender: Female
Race: Gorgon (similar to Medusa in Greek Mythology)
Corner Preferance: water
Age: unknown
Description: Long lilac shaded hair falls down and hovers just above the ground. A strapless dress is formed to her body going from her chest down to mid thigh. Thick leather boots come high on her thigh leaving only about three inches of bare skin on her legs visible. Sleeves cover from high on her upper arm down to the back of her hand. All articles are lined with two inches of purple fabric. A blindfold covers her piercing light purple eyes that have dilated pupils. A purple collar is tight on her neck and a red symbol upon her forehead shows her curse. Her faithful weapon are her chained daggers. Two large daggers about a foot in length are connected with a long metal chain about eight foot in length.
Personality:Eyes are the guide to the soul, well how can you tell when eyes are hidden? Kagami lacks any vibrant emotions. She can feel anger, lust, happiness (if you can call it that), sadness, along with others, but they are not strong. When she is calm, she is a collected, calm person. She has respect for leaders and for some fighters and it shows in her speech. She still, however, doesn’t like to keep a long conversation. It’s rare that she will show emotions so that her opponent/enemy can tell however. Her lips keep a straight line, except if she finds joy in a fight, then there’s that malicious smirk she wears.
Kagami has “episodes” if you’d like to call them that. She becomes completely irrational. Becomes crazed with the thought of blood. The smell. The feel. All of the details of blood calm her. She goes into a state where she has to kill something or someone. It doesn’t matter who or what, if they are in her path, they are dead. A signal of an oncoming “episode” is she will bite her finger and draw blood or cut her hand.
She finds loyalties, friends, comrades, or allies as useless items. They are liabilities. Why would you want someone who tags along and can be the reason you are wounded in a battle at your side. Kagami has thrown away the ideals of having an ally. She has never found a use for them. She has done well without anybody’s help. She’d like to keep it that way. Her approach to other people is cold, she keeps conversation simple. She has been known to become a mercenary when she finds the task entertaining, not for money.
Skills: Strengths:
- She wields her weapon with great precision and never misses a target.
- The reason for her blindfold (this explains why she is like Medusa) is that a gaze from her can turn any person into stone.
----Cure to turning into stone: Kagami has to kiss the person on the lips if they are turned to stone to reverse the spell. Kinda hard considering she hates about everyone isn't?
- Kagami is an amateur at water-bending, but is able to at least walk on water and can control water by causing large waves and use it like rope to drag others under.
- Lean legs allow her to move stealthily and her hearing is increased to cover for her poor vision.
Weaknesses:
-If she sees her reflection, she, herself, will turn to stone
- She cannot create water, so in order to use her water powers she has to be near a body of water or it’s raining.
- She normally doesn’t have her blindfold off so she cannot see and even with it off she has poor vision.
Sample Post:
....Fire evaporates the moisture of water. Earth absorbs it and contains it in unbreakable binds. Wind causes it to separate, spread out, singling it out, making it weaker. But, I will do something about that. I will make sure that I can hear Fire’s last dying sizzles as I stop it out. I will I wash the useless dirt away and I will use wind to create enormous waves. To me, water is the most powerful and nothing will get in the way of proving my point.....
Blood splattered up against rocks and dying screams faded into the hills of the water country. Carcasses laid strewn across the spoiled grass. Bandits screeched in laughter around a huge fire as they held up their prizes from the raid. Gold coins, food, liquor, and heads of the town leaders were passed around amongst the men. Visions blurred as the alcohol in the tan bottles began to take affect. The laughter mixed with hiccups and some men lost their balance. They were captured by their drunken dreams, but their quiet evening was interrupted.
Smoke bellowed from the nighttime fire, but something caught the attention of a member. He watched as a feminine figure made her way into town and towards the group of drunken thieves. Long flowing hair cascaded well below her lower back. Tight cloth clung to the woman’s curves and high boots covered the exposed skin of her legs. She walked with confidence and with a hidden motive as her weapon was slung out.
Metal clashed as half of the sober men grabbed their blades, this woman had some nerve. Couldn’t she see? The buildings were burned and bodies laid strewn along the streets. These bandits were not ones to bother, but this woman could care less as she continued to walk towards the group of drunken men.
“Shoulder. Chest. Leg. Chest. Neck. Head.”
Kagami’s lips moved to the her soft words as her chained weapon slid through her slender fingers and her keen ears picked up the sound of flesh slashing from her blades. Her lips curved into a sadistic smirk as she heard the bodies fall limply to the ground. The rest of the men would be easy prey as she continued her path through the village.
Craven men began to crawl away, their legs wriggled underneath the weight of their body. Kagami snickered, how being in peril instantly made these drunken bastards sober. She continued on her way, her boots ‘thumping’ against the soft ground. She grasped one of the sharp knives in the middle and made her chain to ripple like a whip. Within seconds, more strewn bodies laid upon the ground, only this time it was the assassins from before. Only one man remained as his quaking body leaned against a large oak. Kagami turned hearing shaves of bark rub off from the quakes of the young man.
She turned to the man, running fingers from her vibrant lilac shaded hair. Her gloved hands reached up to the cover of her eyes. No words spoke from her mouth as she removed her blindfold. The man cried out causing birds to fly to the sky from their roosts in the boughs of the hovering trees.
She covered her eyes once more and turned away from the stone statue that was curled up by the mighty oak. A soft smile curved on her lips as she headed for the forest behind the village, the opposite way she came. Her bloodlust hunger was satisfied as she continued on. A smile still curved her lips as her black gloved hands wiped blood splatters from her smooth skinned cheek.
