Gender:
Male

Chimera (he calls himself a defect)
Corner Preference:
Im leaning towards water.... ^_^
Age:
16 -July 17th-
Description:
A tall young man who towers at the height of 6'1. Haru’s height is conceived amongst his fellow chimeras. His hair rests upon his lower shoulder- A silver white that tints to the position of the sun. It always looks the same, the locks as straight and thin as paper, the top flattened against his head, the rest allowed to flow freely. His body is fit and trim to match his jaw-line of a common adolescent, yet thin enough to move with agility and precision. His rows of teeth were imperfect to the humans eye- seeing that he had fangs. His steps are so light because of constant walking in secrecy. The deep and bold blue that was used to color his eyes shrouds him in mystery, unable to show his emotion. His face is always content, showing little or no feelings towards anyone or anything unless he assumed an exception. There are negative vibes he sends off to the world- sending him into isolation. His skin so pale and smooth that it looks almost disturbing as they match his icy cold hands. It disturbs many how distant from the world is; never willingly speaking to anyone. The attire of choice is mostly black, but contains no stereotype. Within his narrow boots are a sheathed silver dagger- one per leg. A cross pendant hangs from his neck by a thick chain- only to be holding a sentimental message. Whenever traveling, his hands are concealed in tight but a perfect fit black leather gloves. His appearance truly shuns everyone away except for the one in a hundred whom he will open up to. Let it be known that when Haru's emotions rise to a pitch, his eyecolor switches to amber, and a veil of.....fear flows from him.
Personality:
Born of a vampires mother, and a werewolf father- he has taken in the motherly and protection emotions and the looks and toughness his father once held. The mind that is held within Haru is completely different from what is seen. What is his motive? To find his little sister- alive or not. He shuns the world of a second chance, only to keep himself preoccupied with necessities. If one word was to be used for him- the choice is “cold.” His past of having been judged has led him down the wrong path. He was influenced to believe nobody cares for him, nobody can understand his way of life, and nobody can see past his appearance. Rarely does he speak. A surging pain constantly puts a burden on his heart and soul- the fact he was rejected by everyone. This now makes him believe that no matter what he says or does, he will always be judged. It has become a habit. As soon as someone talks to him, he turns away to not respond. He takes the blame for his little sisters death. She was the only one who could reach him. Her delicate body, her kindhearted person and selfless smile, her caring eyes, her golden yellow hair- all now gone. He stood there, helpless as they took her away. The last known words he spoke were his constant shouts and begs- screaming for his sister, arms failing, trying to protect the one he held dear. Begging and constantly shouting to get her back as tears flowed from his eyes. She silently put up a fight, only innocent grunts of her reaching for her brothers cold yet safe hands as they carried her away. He and she were two of a kind, both having an additional power that separated them from the chimeras. What keeps Haru moving is the bond he shared with her. He is determined to find her- yet he cannot recall her name. The painful blow to the back of his head made him collapse as the elders took his sister away- erasing his memory of her name. But the image of her face is deeply etched into his mind, and he won’t forget it.
Skills:
As mentioned earlier, Haru Sanosuke is a chimera, who’s powers resemble those of a shape shifter. Because of his race, and his “defects” as he calls them, Haru cannot fully transform into another animal. His body remains with an altered humanoid resemblance no matter what form is chosen like other chimera. He takes on the standard traits of the animal, including the abilities they possess. However, he cannot remain in their form for over an hour without changing back to his true appearance. He is considered defected because no matter what happens, he always has the same blue eyes, and the same silver colored fur, feathers, or what may conceal the animal. However his skin does change to the proper color- just not the rest. What confuses Haru is the fact if he looks into the eyes of what he is fighting while in an animal form, he cannot understand their tongue. He considered his colors and his uncomprehensible errors his faults. Disgusted by them, he rarely uses this ability when there are other persons to witness. (Example: if he chose to transform to his wolf form- he would resemble a human with wolf attributes such as silver fur, could only use what is on him to fight *like teeth and paws*, and cannot understand the tongue of what is against him unless it is the same species.) However, Haru’s sister was a flawless chimera with the exception that she refused to hurt anyone. Most called her the pacifist of the tribe.
Because of his structure and thrive to save his sister, Haru had developed his speed to an increasingly high level. While present in his “human” form, he uses speed over brute force. While having no weapons, Haru never intends to kill while using hand to hand combat. He merely uses pressure points. A simple jab or poke with three of his fingers to temporarily immobilize them. If he is armed (with his two silver daggers- each blade only 10 inches long), he would not take fatal hits. Just slowly wear them down until they’re out of energy.
Only in his “human” form can Haru use his ability that shunned him away from life. It separated Haru and his sister from the rest of the chimeras. It was an ability he had inherited from his mothers great ancestors. On will, if in eyesight or near presence (Fourteen foot radius), Haru can manipulate water. He discovered this with his sister when they were in their youth: Haru at age 10, his sister at age 6. While throwing rocks into the lake that resided near their home as Haru reached into the water to pick up another pebble, the water froze to his touch. He lifted his hand out of the water to see it incased in an inch thick glove of ice. Both him and his sister realized the ability they had. As they kept it a secret from their father, thinking it would cause them suffering- their mother warned them to never tell anyone about this. As well kept the secret was, it got out. Their own mother had gone against them. She announced it to the village elders in secrecy. “Little Freaks” as she called them- resulting in their father, the one who they thought would not accept them because of his pride, slaughtering her for being traitorous to the family. As crime’s duty, their father was taken away from them for his murder. Before they sent him off to his death, he told them to keep the ability strong, that they are special, and he could not be prouder.
The two children were left to fend for themselves for about a year until they were separated. They fought with their new powers, knowing all of the catches that came along with them: They can only manipulate the water for four seconds before it froze to ice (In other words- they cant wave their hand to make the water in a cup whirl around constantly as long as they put their minds to it. The water would instantly freeze after four seconds of control). They could not melt the ice they created either- that was times role. Although frozen, Haru and his sister could change what shape it was in. The amount of water would remain the same unless it was somehow erased, destroyed, added to, or enhanced (If he decides to use a cups worth of water, he cannot double the size- it remains the same until he finds more). Sadly they lost the battle- forever separated in return. Haru refused to believe that. Forever is a way to say until time reveals the moment.
While wondering the earth in search of her- Haru had not made any special bonds with people. He knew it would come back to haunt him, despite what his sister said.
“Big brother! Big Brother! Promise me that even though were different were gonna make some friends, alright?” The fact Haru had betrayed the promise killed him. But since he had no distractions from his goal- his ice abilities became developed and highly skilled. His chimera powers still had their glitches, defects and faults- but he completely mastered a select few animals: the wolf, the falcon, the panther, the serpent, the owl, and the manta ray. These forms too were effected by the "glitch" of a one hour transformation. The rest of the animals had little experience on- and he rarely used anything but the six he knew inside and out.
Sample Post:
The brisk winter’s wind surged through the valley which Haru traveled through. Slowly the snowflakes caught onto Haru’s jacket. While his eyes remained focused on the path ahead of him, the snow molded together into small pebble sized bits of ice and toppled off his shoulders. How long had he been walking through his valley? It felt like a whole day- but Haru knew it was only a few hours. His face remained content as he slumped against a tree and sat down, his concealed hands reaching for the cross around his neck. After holding it for a few seconds- he rose to his feet and climbed to the top of the tall evergreen. Under the snow covered branches his eyes squinted to see the end of the valley. Slowly his skin began turning a pale black. His clothes and jacket were covered by small silver tips emerging from his skin. As Haru balanced himself to the end of the branch, a fanned tail of feathers emerged from his backside. Holding his arms at his side, he took a headfirst dive towards the ground. The snow moved into the shape of a ramp. The teens body soared off the end, sending him flying into the air spiraling. The bits of wind around soon were unable to be seen as his feathers finished covering him. His face had a frame of silver feathers- his hair no longer there, only to be replaced by a crown of birds skin. Thrusting his arms out to the side, the spiral was broken. Beautiful wings took place of his arms. His feet were now talons with hellish curved claws. Mighty beats of his wings kept him soaring straight towards the valley’s end.
Eventually his time started to end for this miraculous flight. Pointing his talons towards the ground, he descended. Starting at the feet, the feathers tore off his skin, leaving the pale black skin that slowly became a pale cream color once again. The silver feathers fell freely in the air. Landing poised and correct, the silver feathers on Haru’s arms fell off as he kept walking. It was sickening watching the bones of the wing become his arms again for those who haven’t seen a chimera.
The wind died slowly as the next location in view was a small village. Popping the collar to his jacket, Haru walked down the path. The villagers were polite to him. They welcomed him, offering food or a place to stay. Little boys and girls ran around giggling as they threw snowball fights. One of the snowballs of the children hit a small girl in the face. She fell backward and started to cry. The waters cold sting left her skin rosy pink. Haru walked over to the little girl and stood her on her two feet. Still his face showed no feelings. He used his thumb to wipe away her tears. The girl sniffled and giggled that she received help from a kindhearted stranger.
Kindhearted......is no word for me....
He held out his hand to her. Some snow left the ground and settled into the palm of his hand, forming a perfect orb. The girl shrieked from shock. Never seeing this before, she was scared. The little boys she was playing with ran up to her, saw what was happening, and then joined her. Instantly the orb fell to the earth. Haru stood up and took a few steps back. A look of dismay came across his face. Their parents ran out with arms. The mothers held onto their children tightly, who’s frightened faces crying into their upper bosoms. They shouted and scolded him for scaring them. Studdered words of fear were easily seen in the mothers’ eyes. Haru again took a step back, only to have what felt like the barrel of a gun pressed against his back. Threats started to escape the angry fathers. Haru’s head lowered in shame. His shoulders trembled- holding back what he could say. He did not want to speak with them. As he stood there, insults filled the air from other villagers. They called him a freak for what he could do, and they too shunned him away. Fear of the unknown consumed their minds as they started to throw chunks of ice and snow at him. Each hit him on target. His jacket was baffled, and a few times Haru almost lost balance. An older man near his thirties threw one, and it smacked Haru’s forehead. Blood started to run and ran over his eye. His eyes were screwed shut full of angst as people formed a circle and pushed him around. Suddenly a gunshot broke the ruckus and caused silence. People gasped in horror as the blood on his forehead was no longer there. The wound was sealed closed by a thin sheet of ice, and the rest of the red ice was to his back, holding a bullet within the sheet of ice. The men dropped their arms in shock. Haru turned to the mens direction and opened his eyes. They were no longer the deep blue. With narrow pupils and the look of his mothers amber vampires eyes- he glared, and soon a sickening grin took over his face. His fangs showed, and then suddenly a hand reached for a man. He roughly yet delicately took the man by the collar, only to say one phrase,
“Do not judge what you have no knowledge about.”
Letting the man go, he pushed through the circle and kept walking. He saw the other end of the village within a few minutes, and was glad to get out of there. The crowd thinned out knowing the menace was gone, but a little voice called out to him. Turning with no expression yet again, his eyes now blue once more, his pupils widened in the sight of the little girl. She ran up to him, her gleeful smile there again. Reaching into her jacket pocket, she took out three broken pieces of red ice. She held them up to him. Kneeling down, the girl placed them in his hands. He stood up again, and put the ice pieces in his pocket. The little girl looked up with confusion.
“You don’t look like a bad person. Can you smile for me?” she peeped. Her little toddler body was shaking with fear of him. How? How was it she could ask for something like that? She resembled his sister....the only reason to fill out her plea. Kneeling down again, he stretched a hand towards her. The girl squeaked and covered her eyes- afraid of pain. Haru’s gloved hand landed on her head with reassurance. With question she looked up. A large grin from ear to ear spread across her face as she saw him looking down on her with the gentlest smile ever. The girl bid him goodbye, and watched him leave. Haru’s smile remained until he waved once and his back was to her. His footprints in the snow followed him until he reached the top of a small summit, only to look back at the village. The little girl still stood there- wishing him off until he was out of her sight. Turning back to the road, the face of his sister took over in his mind. The resemblance of giving second chances through innocence rang in his mind. Though she was an innocent girl- one who gave second chances,
he knew he could never return to that village ever again.
