Name: Serriah Mileynou
Gender: Female
Race: Pixie, NOT a fairy
Corner Preference: Wind
Age: 17
Description: Serriah has strawberry blond, shoulder length, layered hair. She has mint green eyes and freckles across her cheekbones and nose. She has peachy skin in the winter, but in all other months, she has a lightly tinted golden tan. She has neon green, feathered wings that compactly fold up into her back when she is not in flight, or showing extreme emotion (like when she cries). Her body looks stretched because she is tall and thin.
Personality: Serriah has a strong head on her shoulders. She is always kind to others, and she is often sought for advice. She is extremely smart for her age. Knowing this, she still seeks to do something important for her "burdened" family. Serriah is hard pressed to find friends though, because she has communication problems with anyone besides her twin sister recently.
Sample Post: The only person Serriah has talked to in 2 year is her fraternal twin sister Lorrina. Her family is always concerned, but they still have to go on with their lives. 3 years ago, Serriah was kidnapped by 3 human teenagers in their twenties. She had landed on the top of a cliff to do some thinking. She had wanted to be alone and think for a while. After about an hour, 2 teenage boys came up the cliff. She ran behind a boulder not knowing if these creatures were just mere humans or not. If they were, then they were a threat and she would need to make a quick escape. What she didn't know, was that another boy was also behind the boulder. He grabbed her wrist, and as she turned around, he kicked her in the gut, knocking the wind out of her. She couldn't speak and she started to scramble around on the ground. Her back hunched as her bright green wings opened because she was panicking. They threw her thin body over their shoulder, and the put a bag over her head. Serriah felt a finger press against her in her shoulder blade. What she didn't know was that it was a pressure point. She passed out within five minutes.
When she woke up, she was lying on the ground of a cold floor. Serriah reached her back with her finger tips. Her wings were still in, that was good. She wasn't quite sure what had happened. She remembered feeling panicked and she couldn't speak. It was all starting to come back to her now. She tried not to panic, but she couldn't help it. Her wings opened. That's when she realized how cold she was. She wrapped her wings tightly around her for warmth. When she had warmed up, she stood, took her wings back in, and started to explore the room she was being kept in.
It was all cruel, cold cement. The walls and the floors were made of it. Out of no where, she heard shouting and stomping feet. Scared, Serriah's wings came back out and she started to panic again. Then as she heard and recognized the voices, the panic turned into tears. They rolled off her face like it was a waterfall. The two boys that she had first seen entered the room. they grabbed her arms and dragged her up a flight of steps, and down a long hallway. They threw her into a dark room. She found this both disturbing and nerve wrecking. Then, the lights flickered on and the third boy came into view along with the rest of the room. Before she could take in her surroundings, the third boy lunged at her and tackled her on the ground. She started screaming. He picked her up and forced her into a large birdcage. Then he pulled a rope that brought the cage up to the ceiling. Serriah normally loved to be high up, but not in this case. The boy told her that she was to call him master, and that her cage was now her bedroom, and she should get comfortable. Serriah felt cramped enough to just sit there for a few minutes. Master then proceeded to give her bird food.
" I am not a bird, and I just want to go home."
" Well too bad," he told her.
She put her head on her crunched up knees.
That night as she was attempting to fall asleep on an empty stomach, she saw a green bird the color of her wings come through the metal door. It told her to let out her wings and break open the cage. Serriah let out her wings, but when she tried to push open the door, it didn't work. She tried again, and this time, she felt a rush of hot air and there was a high pitched ringing in her ears. Her head automatically tilted up to the sky and the cage snapped in half. She floated down to the ground. The bird told her to go down the hallway to the right and make a left. Then, open the door to that room and fly up to the high ceiling and open the skylight. Then all she had to do was follow Polaris the north star and it would lead her to someplace safe. She opened the heavy metal door, and ran down the hallway. She opened the door with to much strength and it hit a bookshelf next to it. The crash was deafening. She heard footsteps running and voices yelling. She knew what she had to do. She took flight to the ceiling and pushed on the skylight. One of the boys came in the room with a gun just as she opened it. She soared out the window with more speed then she had ever used. she then kept the pace and flew toward the north star. At one point, she looked down, and recognized the land below her. It was the land west of her home that was pledged to the same goddess. She flew downward and westward until she reached her home. She looked toward her bedroom window. Lorrina still had the lights on. Not wanting to wake her parents, she flew up and knocked on the window. Lorrina jumped as her orange wings came out behind her. Then she smiled and ran to the window.
Serriah flew in and embraced her sister. Both were crying. Lorrina told her that both their mom and dad had their wings out all the time since Serriah had gone 2 days earlier. They went to wake their parents and their mom started balling her eyes out while their dad demanded details and asked if I was hurt anywhere. Serriah and Lorrina's brothers heard the ruckus and ran in to see their sister again. Byron (18), Serriah's older brother asked what happened, while Nyaren (11), her younger brother, hugged her. She was about to tell her story when she had second thoughts. She just bowed her head and ran out of the room. Back in her room, Lorrina braided her hair. Then Serriah told her the story. She knew that Lorrina would believe her, and she did.
After Lorrina fell asleep, Serriah went to the window and stared out past the moon to the many stars in the sky. She fell asleep there and when she woke up her father declared that they were going to the doctor. It was a good thing her father was a doctor, otherwise, her family would not be able to pay for anything. The only problem was, that every time she tried to talk to someone besides her sister, she felt sick and winded again. She was also deeply confused about what had happened the night she broke out of the cage. Serriah felt as if she was a burden on her family because she was so weak. They always tried to get her to talk, but she just couldn't force herself to do it. Serriah felt as though it took up all of her energy to speak to someone. That is, anyone besides Lorrina.
Now Serriah is determined to take a stand in her corner. For her family, and for herself.
