The History
Before time, before life.... there was empty black. There was nothing. To truly understand nothing is hard to comprehend and near impossible. For nothing can even compare to the complete emptiness of this black before time. And yet within this entire empty realm of black and endless space, there were four Immortal Beings. Untouchable by death and denying of pain and hurt. For they were to become the Creators. Of Wind, Water, Fire and Earth, they were born. Given power over all this empty black, their blood so uncorrupt and perfect that everything they beleived; their very thoughts, would soon give birth to life.
And so... They began.
Forging the center core of this new world, the God of Fire, placed the molten material into balance, moving it and twisting it so that it would hold and draw everything close to it, keeping things in balance. The God of Earth in his wisdom and pride, forged dry cold land to surround this inner fire. He burried it deep beneath his mass of dry terrain. Whilst their sister, the Goddess of Water, let her tears fill in the crevasses of this dry mass of land. Filling up the craters so messily placed about, for Earth was a careless god and had not taken the effort to smooth out his work in all areas. And so, the crators were filled, and the oceans and seas, took form. Some she filled to much, and their abyss drained in small rivers and streams across the land, giving the earth life, and creating the blood that pumps through the veins of the land. The begginning to harbor life. The Goddess of Wind, created the skies. Stealing fire from the new realm's center, she threw it up into the black that was surrounding this newness, born from the nothingness of empty space. The fire from the center now lay out there, alone. Its heat radiating down to the world. Scorching the dry land and boiling the seas. But Wind would not let her siblings work be in vain, and thus she created a sheild from the black, from the emptiness. The Goddess of Wind created the atmosphere. Filling it with fresh clean air... that made the realm take on a new light. The dry land sprouting new life that breathed this air, the greenery and vegatation that were teh grasses and the trees. The fire, now outside in space, became the sun, and the sparks it gave off became the stars.
And thus.... the Gods of Fire and Earth, and the Godesses of Wind and Water, created the world - upon which they named Algaësia.
But that is not where our story ends, nor is it where it begins. For this realm was incomplete. It had life; the trees and grasses. But there was no movement. The planet remained still empty. This new realm was too incimplete without other forms of life.
So from the mud and waters, the gods created the common creatures. Animals that were simple and had no reason; only mere instinct that determined their actions and choices. They were simple beings, and for a while the gods were satisfied with these simple creations. However, soon it was not enough. And so they began to conceive and idea for a superior being. One that would have supreme intellect and the power of reason. A creation that would master the land, and govern the seas. A Creature that would rule over all that was common.
But... each god or goddess had their own opinion. Each wanted a different creature. All the gods had great pride in themselves, and there was no settling upon one or the other. Anger started to forge between each godly sibling, and frustration began to seep from their heaven's and rain down upon Algaësia. The earth shifted and turned in agony and wreathed with inner turmoil, whilst the fire below boiled up to turn vegetatious land into charred wasteland in certain areas of the globe. The seas grew harsh, and the waves sprung up, churring the blue abyss and ravaging the lands bordering the seas. Storms spread across the atmosphere and rain fell down from the heaven's. Chaos was at hand, and thus Natural Disaster was born. Weather became a factor of this once perfect world, but each disaster subsided... and the world was left. However, it was built well and it grew and rebuilt itself without the assistance of the gods. Any life of any common creature that had perished, was born from new life... and the Algaësia lived on.
However, the godly hate that the siblings soon held for one another did not subside. Seperating, each god or goddess went a seperate way. To the Four corners of the world... with their own intentions in mind.
With a new world... an old war was upon them.
The Goddess of Wind went to the skies. Creating the great feathered dragons. Creatures alike in the structure of the common lizard, but in no way identical. Their size was vastly larger, and their grace was unbound. With smooth leather skin, often shaded in a blueish or silver shade, and with an occasional black. Feathered wings kept them airborne, and they were given lightweight bones, to give them speed and accuracy. Agile and swift, were not their only assets. They were cunning, having the ability to speek to one another through two tongues; that of the mind, and that of the dragon speech (clicks, roars, whistles, ect.).
Intelligent they were and became the lords of the sky. Residing upon the high mountain tops, their cities are bright and embedded within the mountainsides. They live in harmony within the city with all who live within the alliegence of their Patron Goddess of Wind.
The God of Earth created the humans. Creating them with a choice. With a reason so deep and developed that they could choose their exact fates, and forge their ways through their decsions and choices. They could choose to be good, and go through life with a righteous state of mind, or they could choose to be more ruthless. To become murderors and heathens. This was a creation, so easily influenced, but had great powers in numbers. Cunning, and intelligent, the race he created was more caniving than anything else. He gave them simple magics, to manipulate the earth at their calling, and some would even give them the name of Warlocks and wizards. Placing them within their holds and cities within the forests thick.
The Goddess of Water created the Elves. Forcing them with the grace and beauty of the oceans and seas. She gave them magics. Derived from the oceans, there magics were embedded within nature. Since all nature depends upon water for life. Taking oxygen from the seas, she gave them lungs. Making them her creations bound to land, but forged from water. Huminoid they did seem, with long air, tall slender bodies, and grace that no human could ever match. Their intelligence was vast and they had a form of cunning that was based within the art of nature's majesties. Powerful beings they are, and living in coexistance with all creations who give their alleigence to the Patron Goddess of Water; their cities so quant, and peaceful locate themselves upon the bansk of any mass of water.
And last to create : the God of Fire created the Fire dragons. Large Land bound lizards, wingless and masculine in figure. They are extremely large, and their tough leather hides are often shaded in the colors of fire: red, orange, yellow, and an occasional shade of sooty grey, or obsidian black. They are intelligent in a mild sence, and are perhaps a more ruthless being. what they do not have in cunning, they make up for in sheer size, and strength. But do you think the great God of Fire would make mere lizards mishapen to a much larger size? No. He would not leave them so powerless. Fire within their throats he gave. for they were not gifted with flight, like the dragons of the Wind Goddess, and So they were given the gift of fire; to breathe from their jaws when they wished to it burn. Giving them reign within the mountains, deep in the firery caverns, and the stone structures above the land in the mountain sides. Live they do, and in coexistance with all who pledge themselves to the Patron God of Fire.
And so the four corners of the world were, made with each corner housing a different superior race. The God were not satisfied with playing out their war within their own heavenly gates and so... Like a chess board, they gave hate and resentment to their individual creations, so that each race would hate the other upon birth, and grow up with resentment in their heart and a willingness to fight to destroy each other race, to leave theirs as the supreme.
And yet unnoticed others were created. Born with no side by default; miscreants. Born when the initial argument between the gods began. They were other Mythical creations, different than that of the four molded ones. With random powers, and disfigurments. With different forms. They were born, but were not common. Though the common animals, made in the beginning still live on... these others are not the same. Their traits usually declare their alliegence, but their minds are often times not as devouted to one particular divine power.
And still there is another. When the war between the gods first ensued, the world clashed together in a fury of great power (also known as the birth of disaster). When these elements jarred so harshly into one another the conflict created an abomination. A spirit was birthed from this unintended confrontation and it beheld the godly powers of both wind and water, as well as earth and fire. A all-elemental... with the power of the four gifts. Eventually it will settle itself into the proper person to use it's elemental gifts to create the needed balance. Just as the gods and goddesses will pass on some of their godly gifts to those they see fit to govern their devout. This spirit has been given a name, and it is a name that will pass to the host that inherits its power. This name is whom they shall call... the Redeemer.
With this... we lay our scene, and our story merely begins...
