hey I have a character in mind, that I would really love to RP. He's a dragon rider of sorts, and though I could play his dragon as kind of a sidekick. I really don't want to.
I would love it if someone would be interested in playing the role of his dragon, and if you're interested just let me know and I can provide more details.
Also besides the dragon, I would like for my guy to have a female company. Someone he's been with since forever, someone who shares a history with him and already has a well developed relationship with him--whether its merely friendship or romance, the person whose willing to play her can decide.
So if you're interested in playing either a dragon or the woman, please... please... please let me know. I have lots of details, and I'm ready to share with anyone interested. ;D

I'll help too if you want. MB can pick whether she wants to be the dragon or the significant girl - friend. I've been itching to make a new character.

-claps excitedly- ;D
alright, it would be kindof hard to three way a conversation via PM so we can just discuss it here if that's alright. ^^
Alrighty, anywho my guy's name is Xa'rion. He's elfish in appearance and stature, but he is not of elfin blood--he has no lineage there. He's got midlength black hair, and pale--near grey-- amber/russet eyes. He's quiet by nature and retains a certain sarcastic joking humor and laid-back attitude that he only shows to the ones close to him. His powers are rooted in electricity. He can conduct his body for short periods of time--layering his skin with slight static voltage He can also manipulate the electricty that errupts in the sky during harsh storms, and can direct its impact though he cannot influence its natural power. In some instances he can channel electricity through his body, and can create small amounts by magical means and impulses. However, to make a charge worthwhile or enough to do damage, he needs to draw from a source (ex: lightning or his dragon)
the dragon, I was thinking, would be either gold/bronze or black and would be more lithe for speed and agility rather than muscular and thick for close hand power. It can be male or female, It doesn't really matter. Its power is mostly in flight, it is lithe and agile able to traverse at high speeds both in the air and on the ground--though densely packed forest ranges, swamps, and or jungles can prove difficult for its fragile wings. In a magical sense it can conduct and create electricity through its body, but it cannot shoot it or control independent bursts of it. It is in some views the mere power source for its conductive rider.
The girl is less developed than those two. I haven't been able to really focus on a specific power for her and appearance wise, i don't care... as long as she's reletively pretty ^_^ lol I was thinking she could have some knowledge in the arts of fire, a manipulator of some sort, and then off to the side have a sort of "developed" immunity to low static voltage--just from being with Xa'rion all the time. Some gift that would put her in fire. I was thinking she was more reserved, slightly dependant on Xa'rion. And Xa'rion is very protective of her--whether she's just a friend or not.
anyways, I can post more later, but I'll leave at that for now. I'm glad ya'll are interested ^^ I doesn't matter to me who plays who. ;D

my personal preference to play is the girl, I've had past experience writing as someone who controls fire, but the character never went to far with the lack of plot. I"m also a girl so hehe, the emotions thing will come rather easily.
However, MB was here first, so I leave it up to MB to be the deciding factor. I'm sure i Could try to play a dragon, adequate at most, it would take some time for me to grasp the character properly. I'd have issues not having the mannerisms of a human, or how speech falls into play, along with powers. But that's a challenge, and I won't be a whinny crybaby if MB chooses to be the girl.
Both characters are refreshing for me, I'm up for anything. So MB, the ball's in your court, which would ya like?

Cool.
I think I will try playing the dragon. It will be a challenge but I was actually thinking of creating a non-humanoid character besides my demon boy. Of course, I will have to get in the swing of the dragon and develop him/her before I become quite comfortable with it, but yea, it will be fun.
I guess you will run some more details by us to help develop these characters, Tex, unless you want us to write up the profiles and just run them by you. How is this going to work exactly? I guess I just really want some more details -- I really enjoy writing and reading different stories and about different characters if you haven't quite noticed.
Thank you for the options, Tex. Thank you, Kisa, for the choice. This is going to be fun.

Stoic means indifferent to pain or pleasure. Semi meaning slightly
So I'm finding a girl who's slightly unemotional, or reclusive

Are you asking me? Well if you are, red-heads are common in the fire nation. It has kind of become a general thing for those of fire. So if you want to stand out, the blue would be better. But what kind of personality is she going to have? I think I would work on her personality and skills first. I don't know about the hair, but it's your choice and that's what I think.

I was doing some slight pondering about the girl's personality and I came up with a question.
1. Any specific name or age you want her at? 2. Any specific race?
I was skimming pictures, because they usually inspire me, like most art does. This idea struck me: you want her to be a master of sorts with fire, what about fire arrows, like if she chose to shoot off an arrow it could become a flame or something along those lines? I thought it was a cool concept and I really haven't seen anyone else try it. Except in Legend of Zelda, lol.
Personality I was thinking one of those blushing stuttering girls, maybe an observer kind of personality. What ya think?

Thank you, ~ MB

So, Kisa, you mean like where she'd shoot the arrow, and be able to attribute fire to it. So like... she can encase objects in fire? That would be pretty neat. AS for name, I'm not choosy. You can pick whatever name fits for her. And for breed...? hmm... I know that Xa'rion is as an elf in appearance but not in actual pedigree or relation, I think I'll make the Dragon Rider a race all on its own, but I'll modify it somewhat to make it more original. I would say definately humanoid ^_^ lol, but I don't have any real preferance or bias towards anything specific. Just not undead... *shudder* lol j/k ^_^
Personality... so a shy one, heh? lol that would be fine. I'd say give her some spunk since the two will be reletively close, but that "spunk" can be something of her true nature, that she only feels comfortable showing with people she trust. But yeah... I think the quiet type would fit well, and help boost Xa'rion's ego since I'm planning on making him a very protective sort of person.
I can help you find pictures if you want? Where do you look for them? I generally look on DeviantArt, there's usually some good fantasy stuff there. ^_^
ok, MB, I think the dragon is like a beloved companion. Each are entirely devoted and loyal to the other, and have a bond that isn't romance (of course) but isn't mere friends. They would die for one another... that sort of thing. Personality wise, I see the dragon being kind of sharp, and as I think about sarcastic and smart ass... I'm seeing more of a female. lol To some extent, I'd say she's maybe a little prideful as all dragons are, and may occasionally get jealous. To some extent even, the dragon may not like Xa'rion human friend, but it isn't hate and she gets over it because she knows she doesn't have a choice and can't keep Xa'rion from his own reletive kind. So... its kind of hard to explain, but maybe humorous, sarcastic, smart-ass... that kind of thing. Maybe even a little immature at times, but when it comes to serious matters its obvious that she's mature and wise in her years and experience.
I don't know how do you picture her?
Oh, and I was thinking... I'm really not giving enough and there are a lot of components to put together here like histories and stuff. Would it help if I posted the information I had planned for Xa'rion? We could work off that and tweak it where needbe?
oh, I almost forgot... as for role. I don't really see her as much of a physical fighter, except when there is no other option. Like I said before, she's kindof like Xa'rion's power source, and he uses her as sort of his energy so that he can project his electricity during combat. Without her as his power source, he can't do that.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm holding too tight a rein on the dragon character, but that part is actually fairly important to Xa'rion's construction and influences him directly.
Kisa, I still love you! ;D lol

I like the spunk thing, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Because she trusts YOU she will be spunky and lively with you, but as for others, she'll probably be shy. i'm figuring the two of our characters have a past, you have anything in mind?
The arrows thing you're right on too. LIke if she shoots off an arrow, and wants it to light on fire, it will, its not like her arrows are only fire. Ya know what i mean.
As for pictures, I use STudio E.go! I actually found a picture that I think i'm gonna use

Oh, something else I wanted to mention. It might help you out, MB, if I post the ideas I have for the Dragon and Rider combo... I've been thinking about it and it may help add some more definitive lines.
Dragon Riders - Dragon Riders are generally humanoid and can be any real array of racial lineage (elf, human, crossbreed, ect.) However, they are genetically influenced by blood and generally father sire future dragon rider generations. And there are some who are considered "True Blooded" and the generations of Dragon Riders in their family are so many, that they are not considered as any other race... but as simply a Dragon Rider. DR's are generally destined to become just that--to bond with a dragon and live the rest of their lives in a partnership with that creature... the specific dragon that acts as their other half. Similiarly Dragons and their riders are destined for only /one/ partner--a partner that is specifically designed for the advancement of the skill that the rider possesses. Yet sometimes, Dragon Riders do not bond with their destined partner for one of the two popular reasons.
1.) the dragon they are destined for has died or been killed before the opportunity for the two to pair (and viceversa)
2.) the dragon rider does not wish to bond or take up the responcibilities that come with it. (and vice versa) OFten times such cases lead to the depression and sullen expression of the rejected partner.
A partnership is rather complex in many ways, and a dragon and its rider can bond at any time, at any age. Generally the two destined partners are born at reletively the same time, and grow up at an even pace--the dragon mature in stature slightly faster than the rider. They both share an immortality. However, the dragon is the one that provides this immortality. Should the dragon die... age returns to the rider, and they resort back to mortality. In contrast, a dragon's immortality is part of the dragon, and if a rider should die... the dragon will live on uninfluenced in health.
Now, a bonding occurs when the two bodies of dragon and rider come into contact for the first time. At such a pivotal moment, the two become almost as one and the minds of both fuse together in an unbreakable connection. Also, it is tradition for the blood of the dragon to be stitched into the body of the rider as a symbol of this unbreakable bondage--a tattoe if you will.
Using the blood of the dragon--not a harmful amount, of course--a draconic design is patterned into the skin of the rider's back. This pattern is usually a reflection of the dragon that they've bonded to. The image is made as intricate as possible, and is large, covering a majority of the back and curving slighty over the right shoulder. Naturally, the design varies among individual partners.
After the bonding and the traditional "imprinting" they are techinically Dragon Rider and Dragon Mount. They connection of mind is singularily their own. Only the dragon can hear the thoughts of the rider and vice versa. however, as a dragon, the mount can understand and speak telepathically to other dragons, but share a special private connection with their companion.
Of course, there is a set back. There is a certain range to this mind speaking ability. The farther away the two are the more energy and effort it takes to speak mind to mind. Similarly if they are /too/ far away they cannot converse at all.
ok, I hope that helped some... ;D

Kisa, alright that sounds good the whole arrow --> fire thing. ^^ as for the history... I'm still kindof working on it, but I'm thinking their meeting should be more a random event that occured and they just happened to stick together for a road trip for company or something, and it became a friendship, and they kind of hung around after that, and now... well... they're pretty much permanent companions for the most part. ^^

Alright. ^^ Oh hey, have yall decided on names yet?
... and here's what I have for Xa'rion so far:
Name: Xa'rion
Race: Dragon Rider; elfish in appearance.
Age: Immortal, but appears as a 27 year old
Description: He is tall standing at about 6'3" and has long straight back hair that falls to his mid-chest. He usually has it pulled back, but stray whisps always seem to escape the bindings. He is lithe and well-proportions with a slim chest and slender waist. His skin is fair, nearly pale and his face is somewhat long with a narrow bridge and high cheak bones. His shoulders are strong and his chest is well formed and toned with lean, but well-toned muscles. His sticks to a more oriental style of dress and prefers the colors of swirly white and black interlaced. His favored garment is a black and white oriental tunic that is empatterned with the details of a drake. The imprinted tattoo on his back is dark red and carries the characteristics of his dragon--it is his brand as a dragon rider.
Personality: To the world, Xa'rion is reletively quiet and self reserved with a certain dark demeenor about him. His true nature is in no way foreboding or malicious, but to strangers his solemn stony expression is often misleading and he prefers it that way--people tend to leave him alone. He holds about him a reserved calm that comes in handy during the heat of wartime. He's rational, and rarely becomes openly irate, though often times enough he does feel rage, anger, and even wrath--of course, his personality would never let his opposer have the satisfaction of seeing it. In some ways, these locked emotions can be dangerous and at times seem to fester. Sometimes, when the frustration builds to a boiling degree, he may snap at those close to him at some of the littlest things. Often he feels guilty for it later, and may sulk off in solitude for a time. He's a touch too prideful to openly apologize, though if the sin is grave enough he does manage to ask for forgiveness.
To those close to him he is much more open, and shows a completely different person. He's sarcastic and makes good company, often teasing and taunting when the moment seems opportune--yet just as quickly he can evolve back into that solemn nature...
It all depends on the mood and moment of any given situation.
Now, with his dragon company he holds the relationship of a sibling. He's constantly teasing her, just about as much as she teases him. It's almost always argumentative in a playful manner, and sarcasm is thick... He has no fear of her judgement, for she accepts him as he is, as he accepts her. Willing to risk his life for her, he does occasionaly show a more sentimental side when the moment seems right... a time when comfort is needed above sarcasm and a few moments to stroke the delicate areas of his beast is no hinderance to him and he's more than willing to show that affection--though in public he's often a touch hesitant.
In regards to his womanly companion. He's still open the relationship is not as sure. Oh, it's plenty comfortable... he wouldn't trade the company for the world, but he doesn't hold the same intimate relationship as he does with the dragon. Nonetheless, towards her he doesn't know exactly what to feel. At first it was merely friendship and the attraction did not exist, but as time wore on and her company became more static, he couldn't help but feel some growing emotions that heightened as time went by. He's not exactly sure how she feels in return, but he doesn't get the impresion that she doesn't like him. Anyways, he feels that she is probably one of the only humanoid friends he's ever known. There have been aquaintances, but she seems to be the only one who is not overly intimidated by the company of his somewhat tempermental dragoness. He's very protective of her, and is known to show some jealous tendencies when other men get to close. If anyone dares to hurt her or harm her in anyway, may the gods have mercy on their souls, for Xa'rion can't say he'll spare any.
History: (before he met his companions) As a young boy, he was born to a Dragon Rider father and the daughter of a Rider. They too had dragon rider lineage, and the DR in his family dates back to times unrememberable, therefore... making him what some call "true blood." His father carried the unique traits of electricity, but his gifts were more extensive and self relient, or independent, than Xar's. His mother was a maiden of poison, and took a liking to venemous snakes and draconic beings. She also seemed in harmony with the poisonous and deadly side of the world... yet, though a powerful and dangerous woman she held a nurturing touch that did not oppress or expect the impossible. She was understanding and compassionate. His father however, was a rough and sometimes dangerous man. The death of his dragon destroyed the love in him, and he seemed to rebuke his wife and son--jealous of the fact that Xar still had a dragon to look forward to. He turned to whiskey and hard bars, where he met mercenaries and men of shady character. He became callous and often times turned on his wife and son when emotions ran high. It was no surprise when Xar's mother decided to take Xar and leave. It had become an abusive relationship and she wanted no more part in it--for her or her son. She planned to steal away one night, but the plot was ruined by his father's discovery. Demanding an explaination though he would not pause to listen, Xar's father brutally beat his mother, and she--too loving in her heart--had not the strength or will to truly kill her husband in defense of her own life... but the life of Xar--a young ten year old boy at the time, was more than enough excuse. Bearing the weight of death on her wilting soul, she struck a poisonous barb into the flesh of her drunken lover. She died beneath him, and he died upon her. It was a frightening situation for the young lad, and unknowning of what to do, he could only stare into death's eyes--cold and heartless in the blackest of dark nights. Knowing only of his home, he abandoned the corpses of his fallen family--for he still did not fully understand the concept of death and did not know of the proper way to regard it. He took refuge in the home, and stayed their for days. An old elder by the name of Reiko, found him three days later. Xar was thin, malnurished, and his eyes were drawn and tired. He sick, and had barely the strength to resist as the man took him away--sending young villagers back to bury the bodies. Reiko was also a DR, as were many of the men in this small village in the remote volcanic hills of the Pyran Guarded mountains. His dragon had passed away years ago, and age was slowly beginning to melt away the youth he no longer possessed. Reiko taught Xar the ways of lore, and raised the young dragon rider with words of wisdom and understanding--a rough compassion... even teaching the lad how to handle his power, and channel it as he would. Though the strengths were weak in youth, Xar was assured that when his dragon showed itself he would be united with the other half that would strengthen him. Xar grew quickly and gained knowledge by the day. He soaked it in, and put the dreary memories of his past behind him... and to this day he has never shared them with anyone except his dragon. He's come close to sharing them with his female companion, but the time to tell has not seemed right. Anyways, one raining dreary day.
Xa'rion learned how to wield a thin blade, and excell in archery. But the art of projectile weapons in their primal forms did not entertain him, and he soon abandoned the prospect--the skill withering away into non-existance. However, at the age of 55 in mortal years his mentor died in his mortality and left a young, slightly reckless 24 year old to manage on his own. Xar did just that, and abandoned his boyish home, heading for the wide mountain ranges, with only one quest in mind.
To find the dragon that Reiko had promised him. Eventually, his quest led him not only to her, but to the woman he now holds close to his heart.

[[First off let me say WOW, that's a great application. I like how detailed you are, now I'm gonna step it up a notch with mine. *cracks knuckles to prepare self*]]
Name: Suki
Race: Human --- Fire bender-- Fire dancer
Fire benders in general have the ability to channel energy threw their bodies and create fire through the motions. So if Suki was to thrust forward with her hands, fire would emerge through those hands. It's a simple basic concept that involves a little bit of training, a lot to full master it.
Fire dancers are those who take fire bending as an extreme sign of generosity from the gods. They don't really believe in using this talent for wrong, and instead for the bettering of the society. They dance and move like the water, flowing freely and without chunky motion. What appears to be an elegant dance is actually a dangerous tactical move. Being able to move freely and still control fire, Suki has nearly perfected her art, though she doesn't believe in her abilities. The fire dancer sect broke off from most of the other fire benders who joined the Lord of Fire to help in the war. Her people lived in her tiny village for generations, and built a citadel around their city.
Age: 19
Description:
Suki is an average human, without many distinct physical features. She stands just barely at 5'6 with toned legs and arms, though lacking a little meat on them. She's naturally been on the thinner side, but appears brittle because she eats so little. It's not anorexia in the least, but merely she appears small and is often underestimated. She thinks her chest is too small, though it's a decent size, her waist is small and her hips aren't set that wide. Suki isn't physically built to be a mother in those aspects. Her face is round with a creamy complection. Her lips aren't that distinct on her face like other women she's observed, they're subtle which to some makes them all the more alluring.
Silver whisps of hair line her face and the strands end between her shoulder blades. Somehow Suki's hair maintains a beautiful luster, like the stars. Skin-tight underarmor lines her legs and a marble blue battle-dress is worn over it. The top rests along between her shoulders and her elbows with arches built in, they look more like extremely long gloves, or sleeves that almost have the illusion of not being attached to the actual shirt. The shirt tops at just the peaks of her breasts, with a slit in the valley. The outfit is made to be flexible for her fluent movements. The best quality would be Suki's two lovely eyes, though she is sometimes quiet and naive, her eyes will always tell you how she truly feels.
Personality:
Subtle and Suki were made to coexist simulatenously. Reserved, thoughtful, dubious of her own abilities, and kind, Suki is often a background character. Purposely avoiding confrontation, and even typical conversation, she hangs towards the back watching Xa'rion handle things. Although she's quiet, she constantly observes. Suki is gullible at times, and lets that gentle heart cause her trouble at times.
Besides this she is extremely loyal to Xa'rion. The two met at a low point in her life, and he treated her with nothing but respect and benevolence. A pacifist at heart, she will not hesitate to protect Xa'rion at the sacrifice of her own safety and body. This could make her seem reckless, but Suki feels she owes Xa'rion more than he will ever know. Bashful and somewhat uncertain, she hasn't been able to tell Xa'rion the meticulous details of a less-than pristine past. It's uncertain how she truly feels about Xa'rion because she doesn't allow herself to want anything for her own gain. Selfless and without the ability to hate, she merely wants to remain at Xa'rion's side.
History/Sample Post: (Before Xa'rion)
Suki grew up in a typical human village, communal farming and temple, the average things that she enjoyed. Simplicity was all she needed, Suki never planned on becoming a traveler. Her mother was priestess of the citadel, her father in simple farmer. If seasons were bad she lived in poverty, if the gods favored her family, they had bounty. Social class was not a method encouraged within the hidden city, merely peace and ease. With a priestess as a mother, not to be mistaken as a miko (who holds magical holy abilities), Suki found it was incummbent to follow her mother's lead.
Her mother, Saria, did not merely sweep the temple clean everyday and pray, she also was a skilled archer. It was rumored that Saria had been a foot-solider when she was young, determinted to protect the city she loved so dearly. Inspired by her mother, Suki took up archery too. Wily and with a sharp eye, Suki's skills accelerated quickly, but was no way as sharp as her mother. Her father taught Suki how to read. Everyone in the village had basic literacy, but her father taught her with zeal, hoping she would one day be educated if she ever decided to leave the village. Suki, though never asked, helped in the fields as well, driving Jeeis their cow with the plow, and weeded from time to time. The elders of the city taught Suki the ways of the fire dancers, taking pride in such an adorable protegy.
Picture perfect, yes? Oh but the perfect life only gets better, her betrothed. His name was Izafel, a merchant's son. Tall, handsome, good with his hands, and kind. Suki was more than eager to marry and start her own family. Suki grew up in a simple citadel, and wanted only a simple life for herself.
But.... it changed.
'Suki!'
Her eyes pulled from the twilight that shimmered overhead and turned to see him. Running towards her, he carried a loaf of bread and daisies, two of her simple weaknesses.
'Izafel...' she blushed lightly and played with her hands. 'What are you doing out here so late?'
'What am I doing out here, what are you doing out here, love?' Lowering himself beside her and handed her the daisies while ripping a piece of bread for himself. There was a content silence between them because Izafel always asked why she was out here. Despite how much they'd grown up together, Izafel could never understand her fixation with the night sky. But still, he loved her so much for it. He laid back on the grass, 'Father has asked me to go beyond the gates tomorrow.'
Suki nibbled on her bread and gazed at him. 'The harvest hasn't been collected yet. Why must you go? No one leaves the citadel without a good reason.'
'He has asked me to fetch a wedding gown for you, and a ring,' Izafel grinned, watching Suki turn a bright red. Chuckling, he reached and stroked her cheek slowly. 'Oh Suki, I love it when you blush, you are so cute.'
"I...H how long will you be gone, Izafel?'
'Father says I should take my time, but no longer than a week. I think a week then, so I may find you the perfect dress.' He pushed her down onto the dew-coated grass and nestled his face between her breasts. 'I can not wait to be with you forever Suki, I love you.'
Tender fingers wove themselves in his thick chocolate locks, eyes finding the sky once more. The sky always calmed her. Suki smiled softly and sighed, 'I can't wait either, Izafel. Be careful outside the citadel, people are not as kind as they are here. There are rumors of wars beyond the walls. I'll be sure to pray with mother for your safe return.' She tried not to giggle as he pecked the sides of her breasts gently, not a hint of eroticism or lust in the act, but merely his love for her. 'Will you stay here with me tonight, Izafel?'
His face appeared in her line of vision, hovering above her. Oh that look, that look in his cerulean eyes. They practically screamed 'I love you' again and again. She never wanted to loose that feeling that she too mirrored back to him. His lips covered hers gently as her arms locked around his neck. 'I will always stay with you, my Suki,' he whispered in her ear before taking the lobe as his new chew toy.
A week came and went. She waited for him the city gates every night, sometimes leaning against the post until morning. THe villagers at first admired her devotion, found it refreshing, and loved her for it. But after the week past, they slowly turned to pity her, because he did not return. She neglected most of her duties, sometimes even forgetting meals. But she did make it habit to groom herself and bathe once a day, promising she wanted to look presentable to him when Izafel returned. 32 days later Izafel appeared.
'Izafel, you have returned!' she cried with joy, tears carressing her face as she jumped into his arms and embraced him. Quickly she gave him a once over, 'It's almost like you've grown Izafel, but no matter, I'm just glad you're home.' She locked her arms around his neck and embraced him tenderly.
'Woman--what do you think you are doing?'
Suki gasped and looked up. Had Izafel actually said that to her? 'Izafel,' her face faultered and frowned. 'Izafel your humor is so cruel sometimes.'
He was brusque, jerking back, forcing her arms to unlock. A garmet bag was forced into her arms, she nearly dropped it in the process. Izafel dusted off his arms non-chalantly. 'I know not why you embrace me in such a manner but I do not want anything of it.'
'Izafel don't say that to me! It is me, your Suki, please, enough of this charade!' she cried weakly. Here she stood, in her best dress, one that dipped and flaunted her 'assests' as Izafel had called them, a dress he wore only for him, with slits up the sides just to his liking. Her formerly tied back was now falling free, as if to manifest the confusion and sorrow she was feeling. 'Izafel, what has happened to you?'
'Take the dress I was instructed to give you, wench. I have done my part, and now I am now vindicated. I will take no part in stealing your father's assets or his dear treasure, you.' He took a step back and but a hat on over his head. The eyes were cruel. Without hesitation he turned and began to leave the village.
'No, don't!' A hand snatched at his wrist. 'Izafel speak to me, before I am your lover I am your friend. We've given everything to each other, our secrets, our lives, our....I gave myself to you, a bounty of times!' Ah yes, chastity and all. 'Formerly we were one, why do you detach yourself from me?'
Izafel jerked his hand free from her. 'Woman, I have no time to be valient and love-sick. My job is done. It means nothing to me that we lay together in the grass, in the bed, spilling those passions for the world to see. You are nothing but a cowardess little girl who fell in love on the whim of your parents desires. I love nothing but being sheathed within a woman's flesh.'
And then he was gone.
Sprinting, roughly brushing past the fellow citizens, she ran up the mountains to the temple, past her mother who called her name. Scrambling to find a bag she threw in a change of clothes, a loaf of bread, and her arrows. At the door she saw the wilted daisies he had last given to her. Choking a sob just once Suki continued to run. Perhaps naive, she was only 17.
Her heart was left behind with the garmet bag on the threshold of the citadel. She didn't even have time to tell her parents, she just wanted to find Izafel. She never told Xa'rion why she was traveling. When he had asked for a companion she was more than eager, and since he never pressed the issue, she never told. As the years went on, Izafel faded slowly in her mind. But she still never knew why he hurt her so badly. Xa'rion doesn't know that Suki isn't a virgin, nor does he know her past. Suki has lost the ability to express love. Therefore her adoration for Xa'rion is somewhat naive and childish, because her battered heart never had time to grow. Maybe he can help her....
So, what ya think?

I like it... of course, make it hard on him, why don't ya? lol j/k ^^
but no, I think I have a good idea of what kind of history they would have... we can decide whether he'd met the dragon yet or not. Anyways, I'll write his version of it, then we can hammer out some details or mutual acceptances, then you can write Suki's version of Xar's history. I think a year together is a good time to have some evolving feelings towards each other and a devoted partnership relationship, right?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The day that Xa'rion left the small remote village in the mountains, he wasn't sure exactly what to expect. He didn't know if the dragon he longed for was in a future long distant, or in a present short while. He didn't even fully comprehend how he would come about her, or even the steps that needed to be taken in preperation for a meeting. Was the dragon looking for him, as he was now looking for it? He could only wonder as he left home.
He wandered and wondered for two years before he found the travelled road in the mountain plains. It was on this trip to one of the legendary caves of Nore'--an assumed back road into the hellish pits of the Fire Mountain, where the fire dragons were said to reside. He didn't have any place better to look, and though he could only go so far into the deep mountain tunnels, it was as good a place as any to try.
But, it was not until his return journey that he came upon the young woman called Suki. To him she seemed young, vulnerable, and alone... other than appearance there was little about her that didn't remind him of himself and when the opportunity presented itself, he offered her his company--tenaciously and fully expected to feel rejection... something his young reckless 26 year old pride could not endure. At the time, she'd seemed young and child-like with her slender petite figure and unfilled bosom and hips. Thus, he felt little lust, and as a noble-hearted young man did not linger on manly desired, if he even felt them at all. He respected her space and allowed her to assume what she would. He merely offered his presence in the dark lonely nights on the road, and even endured a few conversations that resulted in introductions and a chance to become a little less than strangers. He found her enjoyed her company, and though she seemed young and naive, he could not help but feel a certain brave obligation to protect her through the dark shadows of the mountain, dare a marauding see an opportunity. He trusted his skills, and though he did not flaunt them around her, his mind eagerly and lightly hoped that some pathetic rogue would dare to test his strength. The idea of a fight was intriqueing to him. But that was before he actually had one.
They had journeyed to a small town and had parted ways within the village. He'd withdrawn into a tavern to work the travel out of his body, whilst she had continued down the dusty road to some other building--atleast that was his assumption, as she had not followed him. Perhaps she was not planning on stopping, it had crossed his mind.
Nonetheless, an hour or so later, a commotion drew his attention from the outside. As many of the men were, he went and stepped out onto the theshold to see the cause of the ruckus.
He found the newly met Suki in an act of defense, her body accumulated in flames, and her movements graceful and much more intimidating than he had ever expected. But the towns people here were loyal to their own, and their own alone... and their opinions still lay heavily in old tradition where women remained below their husbands... only to speak when spoken to. So, to have Suki resist their instistings was blasphemy to them and their ideas of punishment were justified by all tradition. Several men joined the ploy, and for a moment or so, Xa'rion saw no need to intervene. She seemed perfectly well upon her whims. But things turned bad quickly, and with the assistance of several others, they had her contained and held, whilst one man--a ringleader of sort advanced upon her.
Suddenly and Impulsively--something he'd been taught to avoid--influenced his hand and he stretched out his fingers, releasing a light wave of light. It burned through the flesh of his fingers, and filter painlessly through the contours of his body... leaping for the advancing fool. But, this was not well, Xa'rion needed a source, and a strong source he did not have. Luckily, the earth was dry, and the dusty soil had provided a touch of static that he quickly withdrew and consumed. However, before he found the sense and sanity to stop, the electrical impulses of his own heart came at the beckons--flying through his outstretched arm. It did minimal damage to him, and his body quickly compensated for the slight loss of eletrical impulse, but the pain that second had wreaked upon his chest, left him breathless and staggering. But the act was done. Even the littlest of electricity can kill a weak heart, and kill it did. Cardiac arrest followed his strike, and the man writhed on the ground gasping for air... everyone seemed to pause, luckily for Xar who took the time to gather his own breath and soothe his rapid over-compensating heartbeat.
People were spell-bound by the dying rasps of their companion, but when he stopped squirming so they turned their stricken gaze in the direction of Xar. The damage was done, he became another fiend to them, and they regarded him a moment with caution. Those about him stepped aside, and formed a knit circle of intimidated faces. They were unsure about him as they were riled by his murdering of one of their own. This overpowered their cautiousness, and they began to enclose about him. They howevever, did not release Suki either, but she was nolonger the focus of their attention. What happened after that was a deadly blur, as Xa'rion has used whatever energy there was to launched that one attack. He had nothing left but the physical, and it did very little against the mass of numbers. Plus, he really had no intention of slaughting them. Nonetheless, through his feeble attempts, they began to overpower him, and within the blur of reality he found himself growing numb without any recolection except for the rough bite of the pebbles that ground hap-hazardly into the skin of his face. The fate of Suki was unbeknown to him... and his fading perception was already distressed to a breaking point. He fully expected himself and Suki to received serious injury, and if not killed here and now, executed later on. Perhaps, his rushed thoughts were dramatic, but not all to far from the truth.
And yet, this is where Desuma came into his life, like a flying angel, the connection that the two were destined to possess, eventually led them together... in a very dangerous way no less.
((ooc note: I'm thinking that Desuma was flying around within a general proximity of the town, and felt the sudden distress--to whatever degree u feel fit--and that's what directed her to Xa'rion and Suki))
The next thing he clearly remembered, was a sudden strength filled his lungs, filling his body. Overwhelmed by power, and a feeling of revelation, his body released an unexpected wave of electrical pulse, that--though still weakened by his own state of body and chaotic mind, did enough to buzz the systems of the surrounding men--forcing them to pause and stagger back as they regained their bearings. At the same time, a sound of coming met his ears, as an elegant bronze dragoness descended before him and about him, scattering the men around him. A dragon was beyond their influence. They scampered to a safe distance, as if wondering whether to indulge or... simply hope they went away.
Dragging himself to his feet, he regarded the dragon before him with awe and pride. For the pulse that ebbed from her, was undoubtably what had filled him with such raw and undetained electrical energy. Reaching respectfully towards her, he offered her his hand--waiting for her to finishing crossing the space between them. They connected, and he was filled with fire--pleasurable fire that edged into every corner of his being, of his nature--filling every empty void, and eradicating all darkness... making him glow inside to out. He was suddenly not alone. Her name, he scraped from her mind, as she observed his. And it was how he came into communication and bond with Desuma, his lifelong friend and companion.
It was several moments, before he came back to his own individual senses, and removed his hand from Desuma, his joyous smile faded suddenly, and he snapped his attention to the throng of men still observing him. He then looked quickly for Suki.
((ooc: Kiga, obviously it's up to you, how she handled the whole situation that he was not witness too, that includes the state she was in, when they departed. I'll try to leave their retreat as open-ended as I can, so it can tie into her state of being when they left. ^_^ ))
She was off to the side at a short distance, and with slight haste he encouraged her upon the dragoness, as he too fit into the niche at the nape of her neck, just before the joints of her shoulders, draping his legs over the bone, creating a firm and balanced position--of course, this was after a breif conversation with Desuma, discussing her willingness to bear him and her ability to carry two.
And so... stands the beginning, when Xa'rion, Desuma, and Suki, became one group--to travel the road as a triple, rather than three singles.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOW I'm DONE -- whatta' think?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
but i was beginning to loose muse... I also have a plan for how he meets the dragon--I'm think this scene is only going to get worse, and things are going to start to go terribly wrong for them both. And right before, one of them gets seriously hurt or killed, the dragon arrives and smites those near, giving them all a chance to escape...
*shrug* its a rough sketch of the general plot I'm thinking of, and when I finish it... it may show some neat little details that will help give dimension to all their histories. And like I said... we can change some things, Suki... MB, if something doesn't fit to y'alls characters. ^^

The history was pretty good Tex, but I could feel it starting to loose it's effect like you said, it was probably a good time to cut it off. However, if you do cut it off, it will be hard to bring the dragon into the equation.
Also, I don't think Suki would necessarily say what those men believed were wrong, but she'd defend herself. I'd see her more that, if two people were in love, they'd respect each other, not follow some chivalry that belittles someone who is supposedly his pair, his other half.
That would be a good way for him to see her powers though. It should be something abrupt and a surprise, since she never does use her powers that freely,

Cool. I apologize for making you two wait for some time, but I guess it's my turn. Let me give this a try. Here's what I've got so far. I know it's not much right now, but I am trying to incorporate everything you've said, Tex, and I am not sure if I've forgotten something or not.
Name: Desuma
Gender: Female
Age: Immortal
Race: Dragon Mount
Description: Desuma is a creature of grace and agility born to soar and yet made for fire. She is an elegant creature despite the fact many two-legged citizens still only see her as a beast. Her body is molded for the speed and dexterity required to bring forth her Rider’s full potential and help it grow. Standing just short of 8’ from foot to shoulder, Desuma possesses a feminine figure to complement her natural draconic strength complete with a strikingly proportioned chest and slender body. Covering, from tip of her tail to nose, her long body which extends an impressive 19 feet is a handsome layer of armor formed from a lustrous mosaic of bronze scales. However, at closer scrutiny, each individual scale has an edge of red which blends gradually into the main golden color. Longer dark red plates protect the stretch of her tender underbelly. As for Desuma’s face, it is an elongated beauty. A slender snout widens from her nose up to her clear amber rustic eyes. Her teeth, as well as her talons, are razor sharp with a perfect ivory coloring which comes with her relatively young age. Looming over her armored body drapes gracefully a pair of lithe wings – its long fingers sporting the same bronze pattern while the thick skin webbing has the same deep red pigment. She can boast of a 60’ wing span which gives her the lift to carry three to four grown people.
Powers/Skills: Like all Dragon Mounts, Desuma does not possess a power of her own. Her power lies in the ability to amplify her Rider’s specialized magic. High electric charge flows through her veins, tissue, and muscle; her entire body and soul acts as a power source of pure electricity, also known as sky fire. However, despite her great amount of stored power, she cannot harness and use it for direct attack. Sudden small burst of energy may escape from her form, but she does not hold the control to direct them in a particular fashion. Desuma can control the release of bursts but only to that extent. It comes in handy for intimidation and imposing fear in others. Additionally, as a power source, Xa’rion’s dragoness companion can absorb electric charge from other sources such as nature’s storms.
Personality: Often times, the dragoness can be a bit childish frequently found teasing and sarcastic; manners have never been a strong suit. Luckily, the majority of the population cannot hear her; only her Rider Xa’rion, dragon whisperers, and other dragons can hope to hear Desuma’s sweet and deep draconic voice. She enjoys playing with Xa’rion as a sibling would in their private conversations. Commonly her voice takes on great sarcasm and she, like most dragons are, is very prideful; however she is a very good, extremely loyal companion. Just as the Dragon Mount should be, Desuma is always there for her Rider no matter the cost be it her health or even her life. And though, she may become jealous of Xa’rion’s humanoid friends, she accepts it knowing she cannot be selfish and hold him as only her own.
History: Desuma had waited all too long for Xa’rion to come. It had seemed everyone in the dragon colony had their own power and many days the young dragons spent their time showing off new abilities attacking each other in trivial play fighting figuring out who could best the former champion. Desuma, a young dragoness herself, however, possessed no active power of which to speak. Still her pride soars high with her spirit for she knows of a destiny none among the other dragons can dream of. She is to be a Dragon Mount, a companion for one of the great Dragon Riders, a specific Dragon Rider… her Dragon Rider companion. For this reason alone she had strutted around the colony with little shame. Full of pride and yet she yearned for her destiny to come… to come to her with greater speed than time allowed. Therefore, she took flight from the colony many days and the occasional night scouting over the mountains. Desuma searched for both adventure and her Rider, Xa’rion, though she of course knew not of his name.
So what do you think? Anything can be changed, added, or deleted. Just let me know. ;D
