Audition for the Character of MeRyk *closed*

<sup>MixedBlood and I have decided that the character MeRyk would be an asset when it comes to furthering our plot. Below is a general description of the needed character. If you may audition for the right to play him.

Note: You do not have to write out an entirely new post for him as an audition. You may if you like, and may recieve koodoes and perhaps a little bit of favor. However, if you are a member that is active around the boards, you can merely state that you are interested and we will decide whether or not you are suitable by the posting skills you have already displayed while RPing with your own characters about the board.

If the above is confusing in anyway, or you do not understand an aspect of it, please msg me or any other staff and let us know. We will be more than happy to help you.

Personality
Gruff, warlike, doesn't give a care for the other nations. He likes strength and has his eyes set on the position of Lord of Fire -- which is currently Kaji's standing.

If you play him
MeRyk has already stolen an Elfin maiden (Ivalia) as a POW so to say, and has given her to Kaji. He is mutinous, but if you choose you want to play him, you mustn't give away your wish to overthrow the lord of Fire. As MeRyk you must stratagize and plan your moves carefully. MeRyk is like Kaji's right hand man. So you'll have to be patient, and wait for the right opportunity.


NOTE: keep in mind, that if we give you the role, and then later beleive that you are not fit to play it out as well as it can be and is needed to be played we will take the role back and give it to someone else.

Name: MeRyk

Age: 24

Race: Human/Firer Wielder-he has the ability to use a type of hand made gunpowder as an igniting agent to make objects explode with his bare hands.

Appearance: A tall 6’ 2” and in perfect physical condition, His body is toned and defined but he is not entirely muscle. He is garbed in the uniform of Fire and he wears a gold chain around his wrist bearing the symbol of his nation. His facial features are masculine with a strong jaw line and a distinct nose. His hair is a maroon color with lowlights of black flowing down past his shoulders about an inch. His hair is usually kept in a tight braid with stray pieces falling neatly onto his face. MeRyk’s eyes are a deep forest green with other specks of color in them. Depending upon his mood the flecks of color change.

Personality: Ruthless and unforgiving, an attitude beyond compare. He is young and ambitious, getting a little carried away with him self at times. He seeks absolute power and will stop at nothing to gain it even if his own life is at stake. He is very prejudice toward other nations and wants Fire to be the head of all, him being the supreme ruler. Obtaining that power is his utmost desire. Fearing nothing, not even the Lord of Fire, MeRyk feels he deserves more in life than what he has already acquired.

Sample Post:
MeRyk sat with his feet on his desk and hands folded behind his head, reclined so that it would appear as though he were sleeping to any soldier who entered his office unexpectedly. The office he sat in was nicely furnished with wood furniture and piles of papers stacked everywhere, but napping was the last thing MeRyk would be doing in his unorganized office. He was deep in thought at an end to a long day, wondering if what he had done would help his cause and bring favor to him from his Lord.

I wonder if the elf maiden has reached her destination yet? He asked himself with a cold smile. My Lord should indeed be pleased with her; after all she is a woman. His thoughts excited him and he lent forward and poured himself a small shot of strong liquor. Bringing the glass to his lips he pondered, Enchantress or not she should be a fine gift for my Lord, chuckling lightly he tipped his head back and quickly swallowed the shot’s contents and poured another. Sitting back again he swished the glass about with extreme delight. Lord Hito won’t be able to resist. Smiling widely MeRyk downed the other shot then quickly examined some papers on his desk. Orders to pass and ranks to consider was something he did not want to deal with at the time. All he wanted to know was if his plan had succeeded and when word would come through of Lord Hito’s acceptance or sheer anger of the lovely woman he was receiving as a captive of war. His womanizing habits may be the death of him one day.
Leaning forward another time to pour another glass his thoughts took a sudden turn. MeRyk was a man who could not hold his liquor well and it had begun to take effect, beads of sweat crossed his brow as he thought of Lord Hito and all the power he possessed militarily and physically. Why is HE the one who is favored amongst Pyran! I am just as suited as he will ever be and something must be done. Rage now filled his eyes and specks of gold danced in pools of green. He knocked the liquor from the table and pressed his fingers against his temples to calm himself, knowing if anyone dared enter they would notice something was not right. Wiping the sweat from his forehead he collected himself and poured a tall glass of water from a pitcher on his desk and starred into it blankly clearing his mind. All in due time MeRyk, be patient…

Just then a knock on his door pulled him from his scheming. A younger man then entered the room to follow and MeRyk stood to acknowledge the younger man’s presence. “Lord MeRyk” the lad said nervously, “We have received intelligence that Lord Hito has received the POW and he wishes to see you now my Lord.” MeRyk responded full of enthusiasm “Good, You are dismissed Lieutenant Reswood.” Then the rather skittish boy left the room just as quickly as he had entered it. Left standing in his own office…So far so good…
