A fallen figure fell from the snow filled sky,it seemed lifeless. It fell as if all around it was nothing more then a memory given away by some unknown object.Grayish ribbons swirled in the flurry air ebon wings flapped only by the rapid winds as gravity took effect.Faster it fell faster it came to the earth before it was caught by a snow covered tree then it fell to another this repeated till this figure meet the white earth below. The figure laid there motionless unaware of its surroundings and doings. The figure appeared to be a human of some sort,by the looks of it a female perhaps.
Inxa was this figure that laid there in the snow, she wasn't sure if she was alive or dead. She lifted her hand as her blurred vision tricked her with in the rapid falling snow, with in this blizzatd appeared a familiar face, but it was pulled back by darkness as she was reaching only for a memory. She breathed staggered in the cold air.She clutched her petite frame in a curved manner shivering and shaking from the utmost fear of the winter cold. She wore nice fitted boots but even they couldn't keep the frigid cold out.
She finally regained herself, lifting her head slowly her grey ribbons moving away from her features, her black head band slide back into place,so she was able to see clearly. She at first seen objects in double but slowly the objects morphed into one..Her usually evil figure was now a dull mirrow object lost alone.Darkness was all around the erie feel of the night was slowly creeping it was through. The flurry snow falling also made clear vision impossible. She looked back to look over her wings they had been burned at the tips nearly cutting then in half she flapped them a few times but was too weak to fly
Her out-fit was ton in many places only allowing the cold to sneak its' way though, she rose with her legs bent to the side holding her shoulders she grinned her fangs shivering constantly and rapidly. She put her hands together and with all her strength attempted to heat herself up but the frigid wind and coldness only stung as the heat was forced out."Damn!" she cursed out loud as the slammed the frigid ground with her small curled fist."I take it this is my punishment" she spoke out into the open night, she smirked evilly and began to laugh for no apparent reason.
She struggled to her feet, using all her might. She grabbed a trees trunk holding her up as she shook from the cold .Her wings were to weak to carry her so she was forced to walk, she hovered her wings over herself keeping her body heat up, in this cold weather. She took small steps as her bruised body held her back from moving at a normal pace. There wasn't a soul in sight, and she was only getting weaker by the minuet.
She moved through th ewinter night searching for any source of fire or heat of some sort. Her boots vrunch and melted the ground beneith her as she moved slowly onward the cold was beginning to take effect on her.She fell to her knees, holding herself up by he shaking arms. Her grey silvery hair fell downwards hidding her face as she starred at the snow too weak to move any more. Her arms trembled before she simply fainted falling to the ground face flat in the snow. Her breathing was very unnoticable but she was still breathing her body was beginning to drop in temperature. |

Eric tried to stay aloft, but the bitter cold was finally getting to him. He pulled his cloak tighter around his body, trying to keep out the wind, but it helped very little. His large, brown wings felt stiff and heavy, and begged for rest from the endless flying. Eric let out a puff of air, which stood like fog before his face till it was whisked away, and he looked down.
His steal silver gaze fell upon a speck of brown among a flurry of white. Kaushal, his hawk companion, flew below him. His brown feathers, tipped with white at the wings, were having much more difficulty catching winds then Eric was. They would have to land soon, they could not take much more of this. So, very slowly so he would not crash, Eric began to descend. He maneuvered himself closer and closer to the ground, dodging limbs and rough branches as he drew closer. When his feet finally reached the ground, his wings drew in tight to his back, glad to be no longer carrying the weight.
He felt something on his shoulder as Kaushal landed. The bird lifted one foot, then the other, then turned to look at her master. Her yellow eyes held a look of annoyance, clearly she had not been happy of the long journey. Eric turned and deliberately ignored her, but he was already trying to think of what meal he could catch that would cheer her up. She may be very opinionated, but she was the only friend he had.
But, to other matters first. Pushing a few strands of earth brown hair away from his face, Eric turned around slowly in a circle, trying to get his barrings on the area. They were still in the Uncharted Lands, that much he knew. He had tread this territory enough to be able to make a good guess. So far, he spotted no sign of shelter, but he knew somewhere there should be a ruin that provided very good caves for resting. He looked up, past the trees to the gray sky above. No sun to know which direction he should go.
While trying to decide what to do next, he was unaware of Kaushal interest in something else until she had taken off from his shoulder, fluttering away to the shadow of the trees. Eric turned in surprise, then quickly followed her, cursing the bird for not warning him first. He ran for several minutes until he caught up with her again. She was sitting on the snowy ground, head cocked as she looked down at a form fallen in the snow.
Weariness and apprehension quickly took over, and Eric's right hand fell to the hilt of his sword which was around his waist. Slowly, he crept over to the form, until his large shadow covered it and he was staring directly down at it. The body was limp, the clothes were torn, and it was hard for even Eric's sharp eyes to take notice if it was breathing. Its hair was a silver color, and covered her face completely. As Eric studied it more, he decided the person was female.
His eyes drifted to her back and his eye widen. Wings! Black wings, like him. His wings shifted at this thought, but he forced his excitement down. He needed to keep a cool head. He bent down and swept the gray cloak of his shoulders, and placed it around the girls petty frame. The two holes he had made for his wings fit over hers. Tucking it around the girl, he placed two fingers at her neck, and found a pulse. It was weak, from coldness and fatigue, but it was still there.
He would have to move her to shelter, he knew that much. At first he thought he should wait until she awoke, but he couldn't wait that long. So, very carefully, he picked her up, one arm under her knees, the other supporting he lower back. The area she had fallen was clear above, and with a strong beat of his large wings he was able to take off.
The extra weight made staying aloft difficult at first, but he quickly adjusted and flew higher. Kaushal followed close behind him, flying in circles around him till he gave her a glare for showing off when he carried a burden. Turning his eyes away from the hawk he slowly spun in a graceful circles, scanning the ground below. He spotted the ruins in the distance, and quickly turned and flew in that direction.
It was getting darker, he would have to move quickly if he wanted to find shelter by light. He was also going to have to make a fire, or else this girl would surly freeze. Eric cursed himself. A couple of weeks out of his home territory and he was already turning into a softly. At this rate, he would never make it to the Air Territory.

The wind lew like an angrey bear fighting for its life.Tree limbs were forced in every which way small pine needles were sent like rockets through the sky.The still silent creature laid motionless, her grey-silver hair blew around like dancing vines. Her dress had its own dance as well, her older styled but nicly modified out fit didn't have much warmth.
Her body was weak an she was cold to the bone she seen nothing but darkness and couldn't open her eyes even if she tryed.Inside she was screaming she wanted to live she wnated to awake an dfly from here but she couldn't she was as helpless as a rock. She felt like sh ewas breathing in needles each breath stung worse then the one before. She wanted to stop breathing but knew if she did that, she would only die.
Her fragile fingers clung to the snow like she was hanging on for dear life, her body laid like a fallen tree. She was telling herself she was going to die,and she was positive she was.Her body quivered, for a moment before she was too cold to even shake or quiver. She felt so defencless if any danger came around there was nothing to do only imagine what they or it was doing to her lifless body. She was numb all over from head to the tips of her almost frostbitten toes. She was giving in an dat this point just wanted to die.
Then like a dream warmth it was slight warmth but there was something warm touching her. This wamrth stayed and it was slowly working but the bitter cold was still there nawing at her finger tips. Her hair fell to one side as she was carried into the sun setting sky,her soft pale face appeaed to only be sleeping like a young child peacfull and free. But if only that were the case she was no young child nor was she in peace or free.
She was dieing of the cold, it was slowly getting better but at the same time getting worse. Her eyes quivered as they partly opened to reveal the sky and it was very close. She seen her knees and they were bent it appeared she was being carried but by what and where, her body was covered in something brown which may be the source of the heat but she was sure. She wanted to speak but couldn't even move her own lips to even the mouth words. Her dark pink eyes attempted to look up but they only failed in rolling back into her head and drifting back into darkness her head tilted to the side, towards the man that carried her limp form in the air.
She could smell the person carrying her its scent was very unique but she kept that to herself she wasn't sure what was going to happen but she only hoped for the best. She only hoped this creature was taking her to safty. |

She shifted, only for a moment, but it was enough for Eric to show that she was alive. Clenching his teeth, he fought the bitter wind, which seemed to have every intention to pick him up and toss him from the sky. But it wasn't going to to win, not if he had anything to say about it. With a burst of strength he forced his way through the last of the harsh winds and almost crashed to the ground, trying to stay upright.
As he tried to keep his knees from buckling, his eyes scanned the area, but the snow was now becoming blinding. He could barely see a few feet in front of his face, and the rocks around him were but shadowy ghost in the white. It was then he heard a caw, a familiar sound that made his ears prick up as he turned. It sounded again, and Eric started off toward the sound. After a few moments he came upon Kaushal, standing at the entrance of a cave, safe from the cold.
Eric climbed in, feeling the instant cut off from the wind very refreshing. But he could not rest yet. Setting the girl down as far back as he could in the cave, he made sure to tuck his cloak around her tightly before staggering out once more. Gathering firewood was hell, well, hell frozen over. He was lucky in the fact that the storm was blowing loose branches from the very close forest over to the ruins. He was unlucky because he had to stagger around in that storm.
After twenty minutes of much cursing, freezing, and running around in the snow, he had carried in two arms full of wood. Good enough. He ran back in, and with numb fingers, he packed snow over the entrance, cutting out the last of the wind and cold. His fingers were stiff after that, so he had to warm them with his breath before he could fumble with small twigs and his flint to start a flame. The fire started at once under his nimble hands, and soon he had to remember to dig a hole in the snow door to let the smoke out. He always forgot to do that, was going to get himself killed sooner or later.
With fire and shelter, he was finally safe. He turned his face back to the still unconscious girl, still rapped in his only cloak. He had moved her closer to the fire, but it still seemed to be having little affect. he reached out a deft hand and placed in on her cheek. Her skin was cold to the touch. Quickly he pulled his hand back and blew on it, getting it warm with his breath. He placed it back on her face again, trying to warm it. He did this once or twice before reaching into the cloak and pulling out her hands. They were stiff and almost frozen. He quickly warmed both his hands and rubbed the together fiercely, before clutching them around her fingers. They fit easily in his large hands, and he felt that they were warming.
Kaushal watched this all with her head cocked, sitting across on the other side of the fire. Her master added more wood to the fire, then tried to warm the strangers fingers some more. Funny, he always acted as if he was lone bird, but the truth was he been so abused, he feared to take what he wanted. He wanted company, he wanted a home, but he felt that was beyond his reach. Something he didn't deserve. But yet, it seemed every time they met strangers, he showed them kindness and concern, when he wanted to be cold and distant.
Kaushal cocked her head to the other side, then went to preening her feathers. Stranger bird, her master. But, she stuck with him anyways.

Inxa could feel the rapid winds hitting her smaller frame, but she couldn't do a thing about it.Though her body seemed to warm up each minuet but the cold still fought its way to her.Her mind seemed to wonder dreams of no making appeared rapidly showing her flash backs of her horrid past.Pictures of memorys she thought she had foregotten so long ago.
Then as fast as the pictures came they quickly left, leaving once again in a world of total darkness. It was very uncomfortable you couldn't see feel hear though for some reason she could smell. She felt very dizzy but couldn't do anything about it.Maybe it was because the movments had stopped or she was becoming sick from the cold. She kinda hoped for the first one,but she never had gooten anything sh ewishes for.
She had the appearence of a sweet innocent charming young lady but as many have found out looks aren't everything. She has the gift of fire and she used this gift quit well she was able to burn things and did just that back where she was from. She caused so much pain an dtorture ot the people around her that they simply burned her,but as they also found out fire doesn't harm ehr skin but it did burn her wings nearly burning them off which is the reason for them being as short as they are.
Inxa was forced out of her home land to venture many miles from there, they didn't even want to hear her name ever again. She flew for days and days non stop, and each day tired more and more.Till earlyer thsi day when she fell like a angel from the sky but her fall wasn't so peacfull the trees thankfully broke her fall but she still suffered greatly from it.
Inxa laid still, motionless only her chest rose and fell from her inhaling and exhaling.Heat began to rise greatly smoke could be smelled from her little noise.A smell she knew well, fire she thought so she must be some where safe.A object had touched her cheek it was very freezing and caused her to shiver at the touch, but the object left as soon as it touched her pale skin then it returned much warmer then before. Her hands began to warm up as well but it wasn't fire doing this it was hands of a creature, hands of much greater size then hers so it must be a male.Gender to her didn't matter at this point this thing was helping her and was risking so much for her.
Minuets went to hours,as her fragile frame began to warm greatly next to the comforting fire. She after while was able to feel her fingers and would occasionaly move each one.Her breathing didn't hurt anymore and she was breathing more clearly then before. Her fingers could feel something around her it wasn't her dress it was more of a thicker material.
Her head was held up right but then fell so it faced the fire, warming her face slowly her pale face beginning to show color. The soft pinkess in her cheeks began to shine once again. Her legs were the only thing that remained slightly colder then everything else, but at least she wasn't freezing like before. She then tried once more to open her large round eyes, her body quivered as she was coming back to realality.Sh emade little noises as her sore bruised body ached all over from her deadly fall.
Then with out warning her eyes shot open she hadn't even ment it.Her lbakc puples squineted at the bright flame of the fire. Her pink eyes starred at the multied colored flame before looking up a shadow of a figure danced on the wall, then following the sillhouette she caught glimpses of his head but the fire blocked everything else. She attempted to rise but didn't have the strength to,she moved her hand from where the man had left it.She took her small hand and touched her own face making sure this wasn't just a dream. Her movments were slow one from weaknes and two from pain, she dropped her hand suddenly not having the strength to keep it up.She starred at the top of the creatures head wondering if it was asleep or awake, her deep pink eyes tried to make out a face through the flickers of the fire. |

Eric was instantly fully awake and sitting in a crotch as the girl moved. He had been dozing lightly, after he had been sure the girl had been warming up. It showed how tired he was, for Eric usually slept little and never in front of strangers. His whole body was tense. His muscles were riggid, his earthy brown hair falling to cover his steely grey eyes like a veil. Thge dim light cast shadows over his body like a cloak and in the firelight, the hilt of his sword caught the light. For a moment all he did was stare at the woman, taking in he slow, tired movements and her fatigue filled eyes.
Then he seemed to find his voice, and he spoke. "I have no food to offer you, the storm is to bad to go out a search for provisions." He got up slowly, so he was resting on his knees, and could see over the fire better. Her strangly colored eyes would have made him wince, but so much time with a master who hated any signs of weakness kept him still.
"I did not have time to check you over for damage. You do not have any other injuries?" He asked, trying to sound polite and concerned, but his voice coming out as cold as the wind blowing outside. Like it usually did. If there was one thing Eric was bad at, it was dealing with other people. He tried to think of something else to say, anything to break the silence, but his mind was drawing a blank. Kaushal decided to step in then. She hopped forward until she was right next to the girl. She starred up at her with her golden colored eyes, cocking her head to one side as she studyed the new creature. She fluffed out her wings and shook a little, a move that showed she seemed to aprove
"This is Kaushal." Eric said quickly. "She is quite tame, she will not hurt you." He then remebered that he had not even given his name, and said quickly. "I am Eric by the way. Eric from the Uncharted Lands, though if you wanted to be more specific I come from the Air Territory." His gaze went to her back, to her wings. "I guess that is where you hail from as well, i was once told that is the only place that people with wings live."
He moved his gaze to the fire, feeling that he was starring. "I found you out in the forest, where you must have fainted. How did you get there, in a place like this. You looked as if you had been flying." He was babbling now, so he closed his mouth before more useless words could pour out.

Inxa laid there starring at the warm welcoming flame, her deep pink orbs reflected the flames greatly. She breathed clear and deep as she inhaled the smoke that was given from the burning beast before her,she did not smile nor frown she was too weak to give any emotion of any sort she only blinked when needed to wet her unique eyes. She laid still for many moments, moving her hands here and there. It strained her neck to keep looking over the fire so she gave up on that. She sighed not likely the fact that she couldn't move, she wanted to stand but knew that would only fail in her falling to the earth especially if she couldn't even keep her own hand up.Then like a bullet a voice came with in the heated cave, causing her to jump with the sudden noise.
Her eyes fell upon the tall man as he rose to his knees, rugged he looked but well in shape. But the one thing that caught her eye was the wings upon his back being he was or came from the same race or so she hoped. Then she re-thought over his words spoken, she did not speak fluent English nor did she understand some words but she did understand what he was saying. She only nodded she was to tired to think of how to say her response in English. She gazed at him noticing he too returned her stare he seemed almost surprised by something, but she didn't hold eyes for too long she quickly glanced away pink orbs gazed at the floor.
She attempted to at least sit up right so she wasn't laying on her back it was beginning to become very uncomfortable to her.She used all her might and rose on her legs so they were folded to her side she sat up alittle drowsy at first using her hand she held her head showing much pain and dizziness. Her grey silvery hair fell to each side almost covering her face as she held her head down. After gaining herself she starred forward once again at the man,and he spoke once again. She listened well trying to figure out each words and what it meant, she got was "i not have time to you for damage, you do not any injuries?" was what she spoke inside her head, she thought for a moment before understanding. She wasn't sure how her English would sound but she tried My arm an my back her voice had a very deep accent also she spoke very questionable as if wondering if what she said was right. She also pointed to the parts that she had said or tried to say.
Then there was silence once again, she looked at her arms as she pulled the sleeve of the mans cloak off it revealed a rather large bruise of purples and blacks, she flinched as she ran her hand over it once. Then she noticed a bird,at first she was very unsure about it taking her hand she kept it close slightly sitting back, looking down upon with weary eyes.As it fluffed its wings and shook slightly she moved back as well as she could holding her legs to her chest.Yes its quiet odd a thing like her being afraid of such a similar creature, but sadly where she came from birds do not exist which explains her such strange behavior. Then the man spoke again it must have been a name "Kaushal" she repeated this time with her own voice. Then she listened to his other words spoken, understanding them she eased a bit but still kept her distance from it.She placed her legs next to her body once again but kept an eye on the bird.
She took a little chunk of her hair and ran her fingers through it,she was beginning to feel a lot better. Then his voice came again ,this time he must have spoken his own name,he said some other things but she really couldn't understand what it all meant. She caught the part about the air territory. She gave a faint grin before speaking Inxa she suddenly her grin form to a smile as she looked over at him.Yes i to come from air territory her words were very staggered but she spoke only of what she knew. She noticed his gave fell upon her back to her half burned wings, she too looked to reveal the black feathers she spread them but was ashamed and folded them away sighing she gazed at the burning blaze before her.
She noticed he too stared at the fire and also spoke, his words were slightly easy to understand but most of it was gibberish though she got he main point of his questions.Yes flying for many distance,i grew tired and fell from the sky she used her hands to tell her story as she spoke I thought i was dead,i thought i was going to die her look grew sad as she stared at the rocky ground before continuing Yes my English is not very good but i try she spoke with a attempted warming smile as she slightly laughed knowing it was true.
Then her cursed inside spoke out what, why was she acting like this. She was being so nice to such a pitifull being creature. She would have burned everything caused so much pain and horror, toture and chaos. But yet she sat there having a decent conversation with a stranger not even a thought fo burning or causing pain ran through her mind.

Steal eyes stared, green flecks within them prominent in the light as he shifted closer to her. With deft hands he reached out a touched the skin around the bruise, trying to check for a broken bone without causing her to much pain. Glad to see it was only a bruise, one that was only painful and would heal, he moved to her back. His mouth fell to a frown as he starred at her wings, now close enough and not busy trying to fight through a storm to noticed they were singed. Questions rose in his mind, but he fought them back.
Instead, he moved back so he was leaning on his heals, and said, slowly. "Your fine, just wounds that cause pain. Your wings worry me, but can't do anything now." He tried to keep the sentence short, there seemed to be slight language block between them. Instead, he turned his attention to Kaushal, who was still standing where he had been, but was now preening his fingers. The bird seemed to slightly enjoy scaring something that was so much larger then itself, so it was being difficult.
With a sigh Eric reached down and offered the hawk his hand, which she hopped on to immediately. He brought to bird close to his chest, and began to run his two fingers over the white and brown feathers on her chest. The bird fluffed approvingly at this, and began to make soft sounds of appreciation.
He turned his eyes toward the girl, but not his head, as she began to speak about how she came to be out in the snow. Immediately he knew that was not the whole story, but he did not push. He would not tell her his whole story, about how he was a murder and had been on the run for hundreds of years, so he did not have the right to pry information from her. Instead he sat down in a more comfortable position; his legs folded indian style and his back resting against the wall. Kaushal was still in his hands, but he transfered her into his lap.
He threw a few more sticks onto the fire, and starred into the flames for a long moment, to tired to try and break the silence. The hisses and cracks of the burning wood filled his ears, and he leaned his back against the cold stone. He closed his eyes, filling his vision with blackness before he said. "You should rest, sleep, then when storm is done Kaushal will get us food." He rolled the through around in his head, trying to decided if he should add it. After a pause he said. "If you can not fly with your injuries, i can take you to a place you wish.
He cursed himself silently, but knew there was no point. He would have made the offer anyway, if not now then later. He let out a sigh and let his head fall into his hands, and began to rub his temples. He was getting a headache, he needed to sleep more then he had been. He could go into meditation, which would give him the energy he needed in a few hours time, but he was with this girl, this Inxa. Still, he would be better use to her if he was rested.
"I am going to," He searched for the word to describe it. "Meditate. Its form of sleep, but a lot quicker." He gestured to the snow door, with the hole in the left hand top corner that let you see outside. "When snow stops, tap me, and i will waken." he picked up Kaushal and placed him on the ground next to him. "Be good." He told the bird fiercely. "If i hear one complaint about you no rabbit for a weak." Kaushal let out a call at the threat, but he could tell Eric could tell the threat had gotten through to the stubborn bird.
Looking back at the fire, he let his arms fall to his knees, straightened his back, and let his body relax. All thoughts flew from his mind like birds as he stared at the fire, letting the flames take him in and envelope him. He felt himself fall into the state, still aware of his body but surrounded by the fire. Eyes still open, but unable to see anything. His gaze was blank, his eyes holding no emotion but looking calm. His breathing slowed as he fully entered this half sleep, and his heart all but stopped. His temperature also dropped, to the point if you touched him he would feel cold.

Eyes of deep pink starred at the man who was called Eric, she couldn't help but stare at his very unique eyes they were a tinted color of a dark steal grey but with in if you looked deeper held speckles of green. She watched as he aimlessly moved closer to her he reached out his hand she was set back alittle as his hands touched her skin that surrounded her bruise, she glanced over her at her bruise as well as e examined it.As his hand moved away she followed it till she was eye to eye with him once again. Then he moved behind her she turned her head till it couldn't anymore he must be looking over her wings, she closed them and folded then away as he looked at them she was ashamed by there pitiful looks, she wasn't sure if she could ever fly again. The thought sent a sad look to her usual taunting face, just the thought of not being able to fly was saying she would never be able to walk again. Then his voice flustered her ears she listened and understood she wasn't sure if there was anything anyone could do for her wings.
Inxa sighed wrapping Erics cloak around her even tighter, she felt alone like a living lie,she starred at the fire for a moment before seeing shadows move it was the man and that bird.Inxa really didn't like birds and feared even the smallest of them. She watched cautiously as the bird hopped on the mans arm, then he began to stroke it like a house hol dpet.Inxa watched in sure amazment and curiosity, back where she came birds were there enemy's they would still food, bite harmless beings. She experienced one when she was much smaller.Though her birds were much larger then this one it was a bird and to her that was all that mattered.
Inxa brought her hands from the cloak as she sat indian style as well,if she didn't have this cloak on she wouldn't most definitely sit this way but the cloak covered everything so it was alright. She gently placed her hands together as a soft red light appeared between them but it vanished as soon as it appeared she was still to weak for her power to stay alive. She sighed looking at her small thin hands as she fell into a deep though "It is hard to believe this two small hands have killed and hurt so many in my past,if erice knew of my past would he have saved me".Her question caused her to look erics way a sad expression filtered ehr face if he knew of her horrid past would he have saved her,she could be dead this very moment if he most likely knew an donly watched as she suffered a slow freezing death, she then glanced at the fire the flames danced on her large eyes as she gingerly reached out to it,her finger tips were only a few inches away before she brought then further till just the tips of her fingers were emerged in the flame, she wanted so badly to burn to die the many deaths she has caused so many others, she only watched tears welded up in her deep pink orbs wanting so badly to hurt.
Inxa then took her fingers from the numb flame she slowly looked over to eric. She starred at him for the longest time watching him with curiosity,he didn't seem like the kind of person that would be so nice to someone who didn't even deserve to live. Then again he didn't know of her past but still he could have easily just over looked her and continued with his life but instead her risked so much to help her.Eric? she asked questionably before speaking again Thank you... she wanted to say much more but one she would only sound like an idiot trying to speak English and two most likely her words would come out wrong. She then looked away from him staring at the ice wall he had made, she could hear the angered storm still burning on.
Eric's voice then tore the silence he listened as he spoke, she nodded understand him as she was also feeling tired though really she didn't do a thing. She thought that was all he was going to say before he spoke again her eyes darted to him once more he was offering to take her to a place if her wings could not take her,a place where she didn't really know where would she go.She only nodded to his offer smiling briefly before looking away once again. She crossed her arms hunching her back slightly the cloak was very large on her and she found it would occasionally fall from her shoulders. She really didn't need it anymore but she enjoyed wearing it,in a way it made her feel safe.
She heard a sigh and looked up to see the man rubbing his temples showing he must have a head ache of some sort, inxa had experience done of those before and they're not to pleasant. She began to hum softly to herself before she caught Eric's voice again. She lifted her head suddenly and listened. Her eyes followed his hand as he gestured to the door with the hole at the top left corner. She nodded understanding his words spoken, her grabbed her silvery hair and pulled it to one side she ran her fingers through it slowly as she gazed in thought of nothing.Inxa then watched as the man set the bird down on the ground, she watched it closely then Eric's voice came again his tones were stern at the bird but she couldn't quit tell what he was saying. What ever he said the bird must not have liked it being she reacted the way she did.
Inxa then at first rested her chin on her palm that was hoisted up by her elbow that was resting on her leg,she watched Eric as he went into his medy-tason as he called it.His eye were still open but he seemed relaxed as if he was sleeping, strange this action was very strange in deed.A few minuets later inxa found herself laying upon the cold stoned floor,he legs were straight out her head slightly tucked as her hands were held close to her.Her hair was spread out everywhere as her face appeared so calm and gentle as she slept silently next to the warming fire. |

Many hours passed Eric by. In this state he did not dream, but he was not attached to the world around him. He seemed to float within the darkness of his mind, thoughts wafting past, never staying to long. He thought alot when he was like this.
His first thoughts were of his memmories. Of a lonley childhood, life as a slave, a cruel master, the slave girl, her death, his transformation, and murdering his master. The last one made him shiver. He never regreted spilling blood with his hands, but he was not a killer, and his immortal soul would not let him forget his dead.
His nexts thoughts were of the future. How he wished to find the Air territory, to find out he was, who he was. Maybe he would be lucky and find someone just like him. He had once thought he was human, until he had grown these wings. Had that happened to anyone as well? The thought was inticing, like water to a thirsty man. But it was far, far in the distance, and he still had a ways to go.
Then his mind turned to the present, and what he was in. He had a injured girl, one who could no longer fly. They were in the middle of no where, so he couldn't just leave her. She would end up like she had when he had found her. For the first time he really questioned what had happened to her. Had she been attacked, caught up in something? Maybe she had desereved what had been done to her, but if she did then what was her crime?
While he was resting, the storm outside dulled and soon only a few stray snowflakes were falling. The wind was gone, the sky was clearer, and Kaushal felt that it was time to hunt. She turned from the snow door and gazed up at her master. He had not moved a muscle, and his blank eyes starred at the fire without seeing it. She then looked over at the girl, who was asleep as well. The hawk cocked its head, and thought. She had two options; either she tried to wake her master, or the stranger. Her master was usually cranky when she woke him up, it was often better to let him awaken on his own.
But she did not know the girl, did not know how she would react when waken. She seemed to fear the bird, which amused Kaushal very much. But the master had said to be good, but Kaushal wanted to hunt. In frustration Kaushal let out a loud caw, one that vibrated through the small shelter. The bird got a idea. She let out another caw, and another, then another. She also began to hop up and down next to the door, wishing to be let out. One of them would wake up from this racket, and Kaushal would have a solution to her problem.

Inxas mind swept her away into at first total darkness, nothing but the sound of the fire was heard. Then like a bolt of lightening flash backs swept their way through, each one causing more and more pain to her mentally. She couldn't really see them but each one seemed to hurt more then the other. Her body at first in the real world laid limp and relaxed, but now her fists balled up quivering and occasionally shivering. She had small beads of sweat on her face, but she felt cold.
She couldn't wake up and the pictures only sped by faster and faster. She was crying inside wanting to just break free, tears pored from her shut trembling eyes. All he muscles were tense she felt as if she were to blow when all went dead silent once again. Her breathing once harsh and staggered now peaceful and calm, her nails cut through her balled fists blood poring from there fresh wounds.
Her dreams went from a night mare to what had happened only a few hours before she fell into this slumber.Reenacting her encounter with this man, when she was unconscious when she laid before this fire, still unconnected with the outside world. It went through every scene, slowly and peacefully. She wondered why her mind kept doing this going from bad to good was her mind telling her something.Either way she wasn't sure and so far she wasn't liking this whole thing.
Was it her fault she was born evil,is it her fault evil runs through her blood like fire causing her to harm those she loves and cares for.Yes she did deserve her punishment in that blizzard the devil most likely wanted that to be her death. An know that inxa really thinks about it she too wished for that to be her ending story. So people around her could live in peace,no fear no worrys. But her story was continued by one man,a man who knows nothing of her and if he knew her history would he ban her back into the wild no clue where to go or where to run.
Her mind wanted to wonder on but a loud noise roared at her ears, prying her eyes open slowly as they gained focus. She seen an object hopping up and down while making an awful noise. She groaned cupping her hands over her sensitive ears, and closing her eyes. But the noise kept going she shot her eyes back open, anger filled them as she removed her hands from her ears. Her dark side wanted a chance to shine as it forced her to her feet. She had no emotion only a burning hand as it light up in a flash, she glared at the bird walking towards it slowly.Threatening hand clutched to a fist as she was just about to grab the bird with the fiery hand before regaining herself.
She fell to her knees grabbing her hand,as the fire quickly burnt out leaving her hand unscared or touched. The cloak the man gave her still was still upon her.She wanted so badly to be some where else, not here around other creaters. She almost killed this mans friend, tears welded in her now emotion free eyes. She got up then ran to the little opening dropping the mans cloak she began to tear at the whole her hands melting the ice quickly. She made a whole big enough for her to fit through, she squeezed herself out and looked around her head began to spin as she grabbed it in frustration.Voices, scenes, pictures all flashed in every which way,she fell to her knees once more still clutching her hair her eyes shut tightly as her teeth grinded together.Tears once more pored from her eyes as she finally was about to blow when she screamed Sop it! her voice screamed out crying as well,as she said once again stop it her voice now in full fledge crying her tears turned to ice as they met the snow. |

Damnit Eric knew that caw. "Kaushal i am going to kill you." He grumbled as he fell from his state. The first moments awake were always odd. He felt like he was overloaded with energy, so much he was shaking from it. But he did not notice it now as he starred around the empty cave as the bird took off into the air. Where had Inxa gone?
He got to his feet and went outside, feet sinking into the snow as he stopped outside the entrance. It was then he heared her cry. It made him wince, the pain filled sound. He wanted to cover his ears like he had wanted to at the birds calls. But he did not move, only stood there. He had heard these cries before, made these cries before. They were full of pain and torture, of wanting to leave when there was no escape. That had been him physically, it must be her mentally.
But what should he do? He starred for a long time at the girl, watching her tears as they fell into the snow. Eric knew no matter what he did he was going to screw up, but he had to try. Very slowly, he walked over to her till he was standing by her side. He felt very tall then, his whole shadow enveloping her body. Then he bent down and placed a worrried hand on her shoulder. He did nothing more then that, got no closer no took his hand away.
This was what the slave girl had done when she found him crying. He had felt that he could go to her when she did this, yet was not cornered. He hopped the stranger felt the same way.
"Its...alright." Eric finally whispered, feeling the need to say something. "Whatever happened, is done, over. You can't change the past, but if you let it control you there is no hope for your future." He pulled his wings tightly to his body, and cocked his head like Kaushal did when she was concerned. "Don't let it contorl you."
The snow fell softly over his form as he waited for some movement from the girl. It got into his hair and fell on his face, melting as it touched his skin. He did not think he could stay completly still for that long, but he did not move a muscle as he waited.

OCC: Sorry ist icky "Why me...why do i have to be cursed with such evil" she whispered to herself,as he watched erics shadow emerge from the corner of her now full deep pink eyes. She remained sloached over in her position her hands still cupping her hands, she didn't want to move she rather lay her to die,she then flinched as she felt his hand touch her shoulder, tears beginning to poor from her eye sonce again. She didn't know what to do,she was confused, lost, and hopless at this point. She sniffled as he began to speak his words filling her head, they should have filled her head with confidence and to be at ease. But it only cuased her to sob as she has tried for many years to control this monster she was but she never had any hope, she shook her head interupting his talking.I want only to live a happy life,to be free and have no worries she spoke through gasping sobs, she spoke lifting her head slowly.
But instead i am cursed with this,an no matter how hard i try i can never control it her words may not have made sence but she didn't care. Her deep pink sore looking eyes looked at him,as if she was looking for an answer of some sort.Why...why did this one eprson care so much about her, what kep thim form just up and leaving her alone in this forest. Why was all she managed to say before breaking down crying again but this time her arms wrapped around him,her face buried in the middle of his chest tears falling from her eyes. |

Eric starred down at her, suprised etched on his features. He had never been touched like this, never been held. It was the oddest sensation. He found himself wrapping his arms around her and hodling her tight, trying to warm her freezing body.
A pain free life, that was what she wanted. "No wonder your so depressed, your setting the bar to high." He gazed down at the top of her head, not blinking. "No one, no one, has a pain free life. There is unhappeness everywhere, in everything."
He shifted his arms and before she could complain he had lifted her up bridal style and carried her back into the cave. He set her back down where he had origanly had her, letting her lay on his cloak. "You have some things to be thankful for." He continued, moving away from her to add kindling to the flames. "Your alive, away from wherever you had been, and you can now do something with your life." He sobered for a moment, memories filling him. "Trust me, I know people who had a lot less."
He shook his head to get rid of the images, and moved away from the now strongly burning fire to where he had been origanlly sitting. He turned back to look at her, his grey eyes flickering in the light. "Don't let whatever curse you carry stop you, because those who stop trying are already partily dead."
At the end of his little speech there was a fluttering a wings at the cave entrance and Kaushal appeared at the entrance, a rabbit in her peak. The thing was huge, Eric was suprised she had been able to carry it. "Thank you." He said as she laid it at his feet. The bird simply just bobbed its head then curled up with her head under her wing, instantly asleep.
"Well, at least we have food now." Eric said aloud, more to himself then the girl, as he began to prepare there meal.
