The wilderness lay before her like a wildfire--unobtainable, rampant, and vibrant with life. The demon within her, sought to the skies, but she anchored it to the earth as she struggled with it's overriding personality. It was her, as much as she was it... but she--unlike many--could control its venom and make it her own, dampening its effects and saving herself and those around her.
She hadn't always needed to deal with these unfortunate nightly transformations. It occured at times that were far from convenient--leaving her reputation and desires at forfeit. It was quite a nuisance.
She looked up into the heavens, seeing the stars and the light of the pale moon, and a smile came to flit wildly across her face. It had its opportunities. IT was a freedom, an isolation that she both hated and adored. It left her world without boundaries, and she felt herself stretch her leather wings towards its skies. Forcibly, she folded them again and chuckled to herself. Not yet. If she became too lost in the adrenaline of flight, who knew where she would truly turn up. She could fly for days, but only the night allowed her--and it would be mighty unfortunate to be 300 feet skybound when sunrise graced the ceiling. Indeed, unfortunate.
Continueing in her pursuit of peace, she stumbled upon an old decrepit wall that was covered in ice. It's cold placid features were a reminder that all was no wild and some happiness and beauty could still be found in the most serene of places. Gingerly she ran a gloved hand across its smooth surface, feeling the communion of pain and joy that this once rampant city had experienced. So many wars, so much blood--turning the joyous into the sorrowful. She pulled her hand hurriedly away and scowled at the dark scene around her, illuminated by the full moon. She hissed small curses and moved along, feeling the cold of the snow rise around her soles as she embarked on her continued escapade.
So many thoughts to ponder in the dark. A sudden smile flashed razor canines as luminescent red eyes looked stubbornly at the sky. Muscles tensed, and she spread her reptilian advantages and rose up--floating on the wintry mountain air that decended into the valley. The wind, flew past her face, stinging her eyes and destroying the serenity of her hair. The amulet around her neck, burned against her skin as she ascended into a clear canvased sky. She flew till her muscles tired, till the air grew thin, and her breathing shallow. She relaxed, drifting on still wings as she closed her eyes and extended her hands, a cold laugh ringing through the night as the bestial pleasures of instinctual flight coursed through her veins--transfigured by her demon heritage. She was demonic, and she enjoyed it.
Slowly, as if suspended by a single hour, she lost her momentum and drift, and her spread wings began to tilt back towards the heathen grounds, and she did not stop it. Spolighted by the moon, she drew her wings close--feeling the course leather against her skin--and began to descend, transcending to a level of sheer bliss and adrenaline. She felt the air rush savagely past her head--cut by the angle of her body--as she slid smoothly through the atmosphere, unguarded, and unstoppable. A fury untamed--as wild as any gale.
Only the earth demanded her obedience, as she came swiftly down--bearing with a feirce velocity that dared to kill any and all whom might be associated. But Noali was not too excitable, not enough to commit a grand suicide. I truly think not.
With a painful grimace she fought against the plummet and stretched out her wings once more, feeling the wind tear savagely into them--catching within the tight folds and dragging her back, rendering her in control once again. A sharp muscular pain fulled her arms and back as she banked up once again, sliding mere inches from the remnents of a fallen guard's stand. Her down draft sent snow cascading in many new directions as she sped back up heading for another dive. Carefully and with a shivering bliss, she cooled her excitable personality and levelled out, to flutter on a gentle breeze that drifted over the mountain crest.
Banking, she circled back around to the ruins--preparing to land, only to find that she was not the only one in the skies this night.

Jaden soared. She soared as contented and happy as she has ever been in quite a long time. She soared freely for the first time in years.
The feeling of ice pierced the air as her webbed wings gentle cuffed its breeze though it currently did not possess any hold on her. Yes, it touched her flesh exposed during flight, but the demoness was not fazed by such a minute thing at the moment; the heat poured out by pure free adrenaline subdued the cold’s strength.
Below her, the moonlight from above displayed a beautiful scene balanced between the tranquility of death and the serenity of peace. It was a bitter-sweet view flying above the once grand city. She had heard numerous stories of its prosperity and quiet neutrality – the unfortunate characteristic which had sadly led the city to its downfall. Its people had come from all nations and had traded with each of the four. As expected from such a description, it was also once the home of a previous generation of Redeemer in its prime. Unfortunately, these facts pulled it into the divine brawl many have forgotten over the centuries. After the Redeemer’s fall, the city crumbled under the weight of the other four nations – none of which dared to claim it as their city for fear of another war.
Now, the seductress flew gently over the remains of a once proud castle. As she banked around the corner, she surprisingly found another silhouette gracing the winter sky. Slim and aerodynamic as the figure was, Jaden could still see it clearly in the moonlit sky. She could tell it was of feminine proportions and from the fact this figure graced the sky, she assumed it hailed from her own homeland – from which she was unofficially banned by Aeolian’s predecessor. Jaden was curious as to her reasons for being out here in the Unclaimed Regions, besides suicide, but she restrained herself from intervening. It was not her place and it would seem the owner of the silhouette had decided to end everything in one final dive.
Stretching her wings further against the wind, Jaden began her decent to a lower piece of the fallen tower. After safely touching down, mahogany eyes drifted skyward to watch the woman’s final moments with a certain sense of respect. However, it was mere seconds before a sort of sarcastic disgust filled their deep color. She had looked back up to the silhouette in time to find her bank back towards the safety of the sky. Jaden sighed shaking her head just as a teacher would towards a student who never seems to learn. With her delicately sculpted hands on her slender hips, the psyche-witch outstretched her wings once more catching the nighttime breeze. Slowly her tiny body drifted back into the sky above ruins. Before coming to level, with closed eyes and a sarcastic smirk slapped across her face, Jaden called out to the other woman.
“That final conclusion should really be chosen upon before the decisive moment!”
ooc: and so it begins.... I'm just a bit dissappointed.... I had a bit more muse in the begin and then it faded.... oops.... sorry ;D

my turn ;D hope you didn't forget me
Her fast gate barely rustled the snow beneath her four padded paws. She'd been on journey for quite a while now, the distance from the lands of the wind to the uncharted regions had only taken a few hours, but mind you, without stop, her body was slowly beginning to ache. The beast was in control now, riding on the single motion, the single notion to leave the lands where Kon and his kin were now in heated discuss. His past was his past, and clearly, she did not belong there at this given time. Soon the bobcat demon found herself in the valley of stones. She perched herself atop one stone to stop, panting lightly, a cloud of exhale filling her gaze.
The beast sensed the other two creatures in the area, one of demon blood, the other of human flesh perhaps? The beast tended to lose the cunning that Kisa lived by, instead it lived by mere force and flesh. Kill or be kill instincts drove the beast. The beast stared down at it's claws, seeing the pads were bright red from the cold. She required food, but not immediately. The beast realized that Kisa had packed food in her saddlebag. The beast surrendered to Kisa's urges to switch desired forms, and promised to allow it more freedom next time. The beast was often held at bay due to the constant turmoil it had with the Curse. The claws slowly retracted and the paws divided into more narrow, humanoid digits. Her hind legs straightened as she stood on her two feet. Her whiskers retracted and the hair on her body slowly was reduced to nothing. The boots formed over her now humanoid feet, socks too, her whole ensemble more appropriate for the winter. Kisa's emerald eyes twitched as she sensed the two presence once more, but still chose to avoid them. Much unlike her usual attire, Kisa left much to be desired for any man who stared at her. Her white brasserie was replaced now by a skin tight navy blue collared garment zipped up inside a white jacket. Her other jacket, the one given to her by Kuze, had been stored away within a local tavern for safe keeping. Kisa found herself more and more associating with natives for her own benefit. Her combat styled pants still remained, held up once more by the belt that carried her saddlebag and sullied blade. The boots, like her character remained.
Kisa stared down at her gloved hands, pulling off the left, just to check. The mark was still missing, the Curse had yet to reemerge from it's forced slumber. Sighing, Kisa sat down on her perch. With slight rustling she pulled out a slab of salted meat and chewed on it gently. Her encounters with Warrick/Kon/Poe had left her some what softer than usual, but now that she was without this companion for many moons, her cold exterior had fallen back into pace. Kisa was wiser now, further understanding love was a complicated matter, and she had now decided that she no longer wanted a thing to do with it. Her top priority, her ONLY priority, was to further her studies in search of a cure for her Curse.
Kisa couldn't ignore the two other presences any longer. Turning, with meat held between her lips, she turned her eyes toward the sky. It seemed that the demon was having issues maneuvering about the sky, which made her think of Poe had his less-than-beneficial skills. The thing was a wreck. It seemed the creature, female, she sniffed out, was either without practice or fighting internal battle. The second creature however, defined herself by speaking out, "“That final conclusion should really be chosen upon before the decisive moment!” Curious, maybe they were in fact, both demons. No mortal was capable of flight without some demon blood within the veins. Though, the second one had a less genteel nature, that made Kisa smirk.
"Reminds me of when I first came here, cruel and sarcastic. What I wouldn't give for the days I could turn off my heart."
Kisa slowly finished off her small morsel of a meal, enough to satisfy the beast so it could slumber. She pulled out her blade, listening to metal slide against sheath, watching the moonlight catch the blade and illuminate the sky. The blade, still tainted with her blood, screamed the memories of murder she had partook in. Laying back in the snow, Kisa continued to follow the two scents, wanting to see what the next reply or action would be. "Go...fly harder...and farther. Escape from this desolate planet."
sorry its not longer

If Noali knew how descriminate both new parties were, she would have surely found feirce offense in their condescention of her flying skills. The demon surely would seek vengence--openly and wild--but Noali would undoubtably keep her content, and find better things to boast a fury for. Nonetheless, she didn't know--thus she could nigh take offense.
Pumping her broad spectrum she rose up into the sky, gaining a top point over the new company who boasted such confident words. Noali only snarled, disgusted by the mere cowardice in suicide and offended that this other would condemn her of it. It certainly did not help that the other was likewise winged--arousing certain old memories that burned like fire within Noali's heart, insinuated the savageness in her nightly personality.
Growling subtly, Noali regarded the unknown Jaden with course, narrow eyes--seething with red fire that seemed more pronounced and vibrant in her demonic state. Her words impeded the distance between them and spoke with a harshness that showed an apparant dislike for the woman's sudden intrusion into Noali's existance and univited association. She didn't care whether the other's words were meant as sarcasm or not!
"Indeed, that's wise advice... given if it were useful." Noali chided venomously as she hovered in the upper gales of the black canvas. A smirk outlined the words as she pushed the demonic anger aside and allowed her contemplative and manipulative tone to settle in. She was a better one for games--of all kinds.
As it were such manipulative and angry tactics left her vulnerable to make enemies in this dark moonlit night. Since, afterall, her personality--though still constantly Naoli--was a little more dominant in those specific attributes. Given the day, she had much more patience and a stronger reserve.
Letting her wry smile fade, she was acutely aware of another presence, similiarly bestial, yet personified all the same. It came with an unbeknown swiftness only to settle upon the ruins. Noali did not wish to take the time nor avert her attention to focus on the source of this sensation, but she knew it existed and could investigate later if necessary. She turned back to Jaden, expressionless but with eyes of fire and watched her as she leveled out and moved within the abyssal atmosphere.
So much company for such a quiet night. she thought to herself as her temporal breeze faded.
Forcing her wings to act she transcended to a higher level and different lateral position to better find the draft that had escaped her. Unlike her redemption from her dive--which is never easy for any winged being--her general flight was indeed smooth and accurate. The demon knew how to fly, even if Noali did not, as its blood and instinct were older than time itself.
However, though she searched she found no gust strong enough to sustain her in hovered flight, thus she slowly--without averting attention from the similiarly structured, Jade--found a perched upon a tilted pillar--still tall and strong against the world, but weak in its foundation. It squealed against its crumbling roots softly as it took the halfling's weight, but Naoli was wise enough to avoid testing her luck any further. Quickly she folded her wings against her back and let herself drop down onto the palisade wall that had fallen down to it's footholes', leaving only a three foot drop from there.
Yet, Noali remained perched there, in reletive openness as she looked skyward to see Jaden, and then earthward to view the new company. It was a humanoid of sorts, with a strange scent and appearance. Noali didn't dwell on the description as she was not one to boast during the night. Still she was too far away from Kisa, to comprehend her words. The silver however--the cold steel known for its ability to harm--did draw Noali's attention. She'd stay attentive... the night was growing interesting.

Watching the as yet unnamed Noali maneuvered about, Jaden drifted in thought and on wind until the other winged woman pronounced herself in voice.
“Of course,” came Jade’s cold response.
::Let us say she is not the most social of creatures since her arrest often becoming sarcastic, brisk, and even frank towards those around her. No, she does not mind being around other individuals, only her attitude towards them has developed as a defense mechanism of sorts. Mainly, she intermingles with a few – mostly men who are easily manipulated and controlled. Rarely has she involved herself with others of the female gender, but mixing it up was often times interesting and Jaden wondered as to what type of ‘fun’ this new company could provide. Be assured, however, that these women are safe being that her poisons are for the men of the world and she holds no other physical skills nor grudges which would threaten either demonic woman – any women for that matter. Still, her new acquaintances do not know this and thereby, like all towards any, expected to proceed cautiously for the safety of their own.::
Knowing all too well of the eyes upon her, the psyche-witch let it bother her not. It was a sensation that she feared, hated, and loved all the same; her job/hobby called for this mix depending upon her audience. Pulling her attention from those present for a moment, the seductress turned to the soft luminescence of the moon. Upon taking in the sense of freedom which surrounding her, Jaden realized that the scene around her was actually fairly light considering it was most likely barely past the mid of night. The moon’s soft glow reflected gently off the snow back into the trees and sky giving the ruins of the once grand city a cold, almost bitter, but tranquil all the same feel. She never wanted to go back. Oh, the lust she possessed for this freedom, the strong desire to burn that blasted contract and become free in truth. This, after all, was merely a transition period between hands. Soon enough another tug at her chain will call her to some strange place with an even stranger holder possessing her contract. Unfortunately for her, all those past holders had done their part in warning the new ‘employer’ and the contract has remained safe from her by Aeolian’s predecessor’s orders.
Quickly she brought herself back from her lust to stare once again back down towards her winged ‘friend’. Finding Noali perched upon the stones below, Jaden chuckled to herself. Well, it was more like at herself for being so stupid as to actually give a potential enemy the opportunity to hurt her. That was a problem to not actually knowing how to defend herself. Jaden was more mentally prepared for confrontation than physically. This was painfully obvious when interacting with her holders often finding herself open and vulnerable because of her sarcasm.
Soon, however, her laughed was interrupted by the familiar sound of a blade. Her eyes shot towards the ground in both fear and anger following Noali’s gaze and there the source was sitting. Another female with which to converse in a sense. She watched carefully and with a sort of disgust as another unnamed face watched her blade. Muscles tensed and flight became harder to control as a result. Therefore, Jaden made the quick choice and casually glided to perch upon another pillar some distance away from either woman, but still close enough to hear and be heard.
Jaden mainly watched the blade squinting as it reflected the pale moonlight into her mahogany eyes. Still, she kept both ears open and eyes ready to turn not wishing to be stranded in these ruins, especially in the winter. Carefully and silently she calculated a plan to save herself even as she kept the friendly guise slapped delicately across her slender face.

The conversation between the two flying creatures was a little bit boring, witty conversation between two strangers, one trying to irritate the other, each losing focus on whatever else they were doing. Perhaps they were like her, loud voices but in the end still lonely. Kisa turned the sword in her hand slowly like the arms of a clock would, moonlight shining off in each and every direction at each turn.
"I wonder if flight is that strenuous on a body, if the air currents are that overpowering for those who fly."
Running her hand down the blade a visible slit appeared on her finger, small trickle of blood pouring out. She licked it and shoved the blade into the ground to use as leverage so she was now sitting up. This blade was the holder of all her memories, the days of Poe, Warrick, Kon, and his daughter, Blaire. Running her hand through her matted blonde hair Kisa turned her attention to both of the winged humanoid-like creatures and smirked, "Are we all going to sit at safe distances and humble each other with stares and witty comments? I say that isn't that much fun considering most humans do that, and I'd rather not follow their choice of action."
"I am bound to the Earth, but serve no one in this war I seemed to have stumbled upon. What of you two?"

I really have muse for this character but I felt like I had to post for you guys so you could at least make progress. Sorry, I tried a conversation starter

Naoli smiled wryly as a voice drifted faintly towards her. It was hard to discern over the wind, but dawn was approaching and she dared not linger. Her vulnerability came most during the daylight hours, and she dare not share the company with two strangers whom she did not know, and one of which she already disliked.
Venomously she shot a steely glare towards the unknown Jaden. With a snarl and smirk she twisted suddenly about and took once again to the skies. Leaving not a single word in her wake for them to muse over. She didn't really do it because she didn't want the company, she did it because she felt she must.
She was an isolated create, seclusive and elusive. She was unaccustomed to company and thus she did what came most naturally to her. She left them alone--flying speedily just above the treeline, out of the valley, towards the mountains of fire, into the dark pits from where she called home.
No conjoling words for her return, nor spiteful mockery of her abandonment would ever be heard by her. She was nolonger listening, and had no intent on turning about. Already she'd all but forgotten them.

Mahogany eyes shifted gaze to the demonic woman sitting upon her rump flashing her sword. She harrumphed at the woman’s comment concerning the ability of flight. “You wouldn’t know the strength,” Jaden’s tongue came forth both in spite and disgust. Watching the land-based beast, the ebony-haired psyche-witch smelt blood upon the breeze as she apparently drew a trickle from her finger. Humans?... Humans!... “Humans! You would compare us to those simple beasts?! You obviously fail to see the more majestic… more mysterious picture.” Her voice shifted from sheer anger to that of a mischievous nature towards the end of her rant.
Suddenly movement upon the wind caught Jaden’s attention. She turned his gaze to the other wing-bearing woman in time to catch the glare directed at her and send it right back. That unnamed woman was gone, leaving them to the fading darkness. Fading darkness? The copper-toned woman turned to see a brightening horizon to the east. Grimacing at the thought, she too turned her back to the wingless one, the unnamed Kisa.
“I am loyal to none but myself.” These words came surprisingly soft, almost sad, but characteristically confident. “I am bound to slavery… by my former nation.” She held no resentment towards her fate, no remorse for her crimes; nor did her voice lace itself with such. It was an indifferent tone drifting to the trees. A hand absently rose to the thick metallic collar surrounding her neck.
Her arm fell quickly back to her side as she took to the wind. The small figure plummeted into the forest around them. Jaden soared. She soared to no where. She soared for no reason. She soared as it was her only freedom.
ooc: I guess I'm closing this then? *shrugs*
