Sakkaku Tamashii

20

Flesh-dweller
((A new breed of miscreants, born of a mistake by Mother Nature, walks blindly upon the world of Alga¸sia. The true origin of these demonic beings, however, is unknown. This theory is the only existing one that could be the key to finding the egg of the new breed.))
Corner Preference:
Fire
Description:
Sakkaku Tamashii, with the stature of 5’6”, gazes through sensitive pale green eyes. His black hair is cut in a choppy style leading to a point in the back. Thick bangs rest on the forehead in a way to reveal his eyes. Sakkaku has high cheek bones and a slender chin. Due to his facial appearance, he is often mistaken for a girl. The frail appearance of his body structure does not help his masculine self either.
Although frail looking, Sakkaku’s bone structure is very durable and flexible. He is a very lean young man with long sturdy legs. The boy has muscles but is not bulging with them. Sakkaku’s arms are well-built giving him upper strength as well as his legs giving him speed. The torso is a showcase of a six pack and the shoulder blades protrude slightly.
On the skin of his back, Tamashii is permanently marked. A large black tattoo is painted in the shape of an upside down tulip with three-pronged wings. The marking has an eerie flaming crimson color to it only visible in the shadows or at nighttime. The stem of the flower stretches up his spinal cord to the joint of the neck and skull. The opening of the pedals is stained one inch above the pelvic bone. The wings spread over his shoulder blades and drape over the back of his rib cage to the pelvic bone. Another marking Sakkaku has is on his left chest muscle. It is the Japanese caricature of his last name Tamashii meaning “soul.” The mark is actually a scar made by the burn of a branding tool.
However, both of the markings are barely visible. This is due to Sakkaku’s wardrobe. Tamashii wears a black skin-tight full body suit. The suit is sleeveless, cuts off at mid-thigh, and covers the neck. It acts as a mask concealing Sakkaku’s half of face. Pale green eyes and black hair are still observable. Over top of the black suit, Sakkaku wears a form-fitting vest. The vest is black with delicate white lining and seams. Fragile designs of Baby’s Breath crawl up the left side of the vest reaching the top of the chest muscle. The vest, however, only drapes to an inch past the end of his rib cage. The top closes tightly with three toggles on the inside. Matching the top, Sakkaku’s pants are black and poof out over the thighs just to wrap tightly around his knees and a little lower. The same pattern on the vest repeats on the right side of the pants. Conversely, a lotus flower blooms into Baby’s Breath that creeps up the leg. The detail of the white picture is intricate and carefully woven. A white sash is wrapped around the waist to compliment the embroidery, but it conceals a deadly twin-sided chain sickle (this is wrapped around his waist as well, underneath the sash). The sash has small silver strands of thread woven through the fabric. Tails of the sash hang off to Sakkaku’s left hip. The feet of this Flesh-Dweller are protected by thin black boots, tipping off at the knees. A silver embossed metal covers the toes and the heel. Running along the soft bottom is a slick blade, guaranteeing to deliver a deadly blow to anyone kicked. The embossed metal appears as vines on the boots. To finish off Sakkaku’s wardrobe are his gloves. The gloves are made of soft cloth that forms to the muscles of the arms. Just like the boots, they have silver embossed metal snaking around on the fabric. The gloves cover most of the arm, tipping off half way through the humerus. The two gloves are not the same. Concealed within the metal in the right glove is a vicious blade that unfolds. The crescent blade folds into Sakkaku’s arm making the right glove a permanent part of his body. The young man made these alterations of his body on his own.
Personality:
He is a mysterious young man who is hard to read by anyone. He's one of a very determined mind and is very stubborn. He is also known for his brutal honesty, true he doesn’t speak much, but when he does, he cuts loose. Sakkaku will tell it like it is and will not beat around the bush. He will cut right to the point and not care of the other’s opinion. He holds a dark connotation, within every fold of his skin. His voice is even worse. The voice of Sakkaku tells a story all by itself.
He holds his dignity well, but has no morals. How does that work? You shouldn’t even be asking that question. I explain that in the very first sentence of his personality. If there is a way to get what he wants he will take it—no questions asked. He does not follow orders well, only if there is something in it for him, he has the similarities of a pirate. He's a confident being and has a smug attitude. The smugness doesn’t show as strongly though. Many consider Sakkaku as a greedy little kid, but he could care less what others think of him. If he knows who he is, then that is all that matters to him. He accepts their views and ignores it. He isn’t in this game of life just for the fun of it. If he wants something; there is usually a reason.
However, through all of this, there is a hidden sincerity to him, but it has driven itself deep down into his heart, sleeping soundly. Sakkaku’s history left him psychologically wounded. Beings that he would have showed these emotions to no longer exist. They no longer breathe or he pushed them out of his life so they never existed in the first place. He hardened his heart and mind all at the same time……………………there’s a wall there………trust me.
Sakkaku filled the emotion of gentleness with hatred. When angered……which I might suggest you not do……Sakkaku will not wait. If he doesn’t like someone, he’ll let them know. If someone gets on his bad side he won’t rant in front of them and encourage a fight…nope. He will walk straight up to them, knock them flat on their back without warning…and then… walk away without saying one…single…word. That’s Sakkaku for you.
Skills:
Being a Flesh-Dweller, Sakkaku is gifted with a unique ability. He is able to jump into another person’s body. This is called skin-diving. When in the process of connecting to his target, Sakkaku molds his skin in with the victim’s forcing his hands through their own folds of flesh. He continues to dive until his whole body is safely inside the targets. The process is very painful to the victim, but no injuries from the diving occur. So there is no bleeding and no odd feelings. The Flesh-Dwellers presence is not felt when fully inside. Once Sakkaku is in, he is in and nothing can get him out except for his own will. If you go to kill the host of Sakkaku, Sakkaku will be left unscathed and the host dead. While in the carapace of the victim, Sakkaku has the choice of whether taking over control of the body, or just to sit quietly and do nothing until he wishes to strike. If the target is lucky, the young demon will not take the choice of controlling, but if he chooses to take over there is no stopping him. Sakkaku holds that person’s life in his hands, literally. Since inside, Sakkaku has access to the heart, the mind, and the soul of the victim. He could kill the person very easily. When exiting the victim’s body, Sakkaku usually leaves his host unconscious, but at times he will just leave them the gift of dizziness and nausea.
Experience level for this skill:
Expert. He can quickly dive from one body to the next easily, so the process for him does not take as long as it sounds. He can initiate the procedure flawlessly.
Another ability Sakkaku has, related to the one above is known as Snatching. The Flesh-Dweller can take his hand alone and force into an enemy’s body. This move gives his access to the heart, which is usually what he uses this ability for. If given the right opportunity, Sakkaku can grab the heart and pull it out right from the body. However, Sakkaku likes to see his victim squirm so he usually just holds it in his hand feeling its beat while still inside the person’s body. This paralyzes the victim. If the victim were to move, fatal events might happen. He basically has that person wrapped around his fingers.
Experience level for this skill:
Expert. This skill is a drastic measure for Sakkaku so he will hardly rely on this little trick of his.
To further Sakkaku’s abilities, he has the gift of controlling nature. Yes, this should place him in the corner honoring Borran. However, because of certain events that took place in Sakkaku’s history, he broke himself away from his original god and pledged himself to Pyran the God of Fire. Sakkaku learned how to control the beauty of earth. He can mold the soil around him into whips, pulling it from the ground and maneuvering it with his hands. Sakkaku can also send spikes out from the ground which could make for a surprise and deadly attack. The last ability he has that has to do with nature is becoming one with it. Just like he could do with a human, Sakkaku could mold with the trunk of a tree, or the ground.
Experience level for these skills:
Intermediate. He doesn’t practice these skills much because they associate with earth. So as time passed, he got rusty.
Weaponry skills:
Crescent Fold Blade –Expert. Considering it’s a part of his body, Sakkaku relies on this weapon during most of his battles. Or even just for survival purposes.
Twin-Sided Chain Sickle –Intermediate. This is a difficult weapon to control, making Sakkaku uneasy about using it.
Martial Arts skills:
Expert. This is his primary offensive. He is good at hand-to-hand combat, and has the body to maneuver around easily.
Weaknesses:
Sakkaku has two weaknesses. One is the obvious one. He can die like any mortal. The boy bares vitals points like any normal being. If someone were to strike at his heart and succeed, yes Sakkaku would die; if they were to cut of his head, yes…he would die. It’s common sense in this case. However, Sakkaku’s one major weakness is in his hands. The young Flesh-Dweller is nothing without his hands. He could perform some martial arts with his legs, but that’s about it. He is nothing without them. Everything relies on his hands and wrists, if you take them out, you take him out. Binding him would be the easiest defeat. Then someone could always break his wrists that would piss him off all to hell.
Sample Post/History:
Striving within the lands of the Borgis Plain, the race of Flesh-Dwellers strived and reproduced. They made quite a decent living off of the land. They grew crops and hunted for meats. Since they were a brand new race among others, there were not many ancestors to trace back in time, hardly any actually. Many of the Flesh-Dwellers were accepted into the military. It was considered an honor. A high honor. It was something to be proud of. Every member was treated with respect and they were always praised. Sakkaku’s father was the head lunk-head of the militants. It was kind of sickening if you really think about it. All they did was sell their souls to the God of Earth; A god that no one has actually seen. Why did they protect him anyway? There was a statue that sat right in the middle of the village honoring the god.
*~*~*~*
Sakkaku walked aimlessly around the Nation of Fire not even caring if someone came up to him. His mind was in the past. It was focused on the statue. He began wondering if it was still standing. He wouldn’t know; considering he hasn’t stepped foot in that village since he was fifteen. It’s been five years since that damn incident. He eyes drifted to the sky, his mask concealing his expression. The dry winds stroked his hair and caressed his skin. The Fire Nation’s main city was a few miles in front of him. An intricate visual could be seen. The highest mountain stably held many cities along its rocks. Tiny flickers of fire torches could be seen in the distance. Pale eyes looked upon the city as one name repeated over and over in his mind. Kaji… But then, the name shifted. Satazian… Satazian needed to learn has to watch over his men more closely. Sakkaku wondered if Satazian even realized that General Broko never returned from his assignment. One visit gone wrong. That’s all it took for Sakkaku to leave his home. The earth General Broko felt that the Flesh-Dwellers would threaten the safety of his Lord Satazian with their unique abilities.
*~*~*~*
It was nighttime. The nightingales were gently singing the lullabies for the little ones and the crickets were chirping. The tranquility was broken as the earth shifted underneath the village. Quakes began to tremble and spikes emerged from the ground. Treachery was brought upon the village. Pale green eyes shot open to yelling and screaming. He could hear his father’s call. General Broko unleashed a fatal attack on his village. A planned massacre.
Emerging from his home, Sakkaku gazed around to see his village in ruins. Bodies were laying across the ground. What the hell? Sakkaku thought as he ran through his ruined village. The earth underneath his feet continued to split and shake. The boy’s eyes laid sights on Broko. It was all happening so fast. Sakkaku released his Crescent Fold Blade and charged, taking the challenger of Broko on himself. The head of the village called out to Sakkaku to stop his attack, but he refused. Sakkaku met blades with Broko. “This bastard planned a massacre on our village, and you will just let him leave!?” The Flesh-Dweller brought his free hand up and smacked Broko’s face with the heel of his palm. The sound of cracking bones echoed the air. “What the hell kind of Lord is this Satazian!? Huh?” Sakkaku’s voice was filled with anger as he picked the wounded general up by the neck.
Broko looked down smugly on his enemy holding him by the neck. His grin was wicked as he spat on Sakkaku’s face. “I was under the orders of my Lord to recruit. But your kind was too vulgar for me. So I took the liberty—“ Blood trickled down the general’s mouth. It ran down his throat staining his uniform. His words were cut off. His cold body fell to the ground leaving Sakkaku standing with a heart in hand. Indeed, his abilities were vulgar, but they were only put to use in desperate situations. Pools of blood dropped from Sakkaku’s hand and poured under General Broko’s corpse.
“Sakkaku!!” An angered voice rang out in the bloody air. Sakkaku turned to meet a slap right across the face by his own father. “This was merely just a test of loyalty to of Lord Satazian!”
“Are you mad?!” Sakkaku cut his father off. “This man tried to wipe us out. Our people are dead because of this Lord Satazian! How can you pledge your loyalty to this Lord?” Disgusted by his father, Sakkaku stepped back and walked away from him. “I’m leaving. If you idiots want to pledge loyalty to Satazian then go ahead. I want no part.” The young demon walked away, disappearing in the uplifted dust from the failed massacre. Revenge was on his mind. Satazian…
*~*~*~*
It’s a shame though, if the young demon had listened to Broko’s final words, he would have heard the truth. General Broko went behind his Lord’s back. Satazian had no say in the planned massacre; it was all in the mind of the dead Broko. Even so, because of that Sakkaku has fully pledged to the Lord of Fire. If bastards like that exist in the earth kingdom, he wants no part.
